My dog is my baby. No, I don't dress him up (unless it's cold!), roll him around in a stroller (if he was purse-size, though, don't hold me to any promises....), or hand-feed him filet mignon (unless some pathetic place overcooks my meat a degree past bloody, bloody rare), but I am very overprotective of him and super picky when it comes to his care, particularly because of his grade 6 heart murmur. Little Feeny had not had any petsitting, doggie day care, or boarding experience in his four years of life until I moved far from my family to NYC last year, and I didn't know WHO to trust.
I am so, so grateful to have stumbled across Paws at Play and Manuela, our beloved assigned petsitter. I cannot tell you how at ease I am now when I have to travel, and I love that my dog can feel safe and comfortable at home and get walked and played with twice a day while I'm away. I've seen him with Manuela, and he LOVES her - Paws at Play picks some pretty incredible staff who definitely love what they do. Manuela sends me awesome text messages after each visit with Feeny, and I even get some photos of him, too! The pricing is reasonable (about $35/day for my two 30-minute visits with walks), and most importantly, my dog seems really happy. Payment is through PayPal, and don't forget to tip your sitter! They're awesome at handling last-minute requests, and everything is mostly handled by email - easy, breezy.

We discovered Paws at Play by word-of-mouth and it was certainly a pleasure to have found them. We needed a cat-sitter on short notice for a long vacation, and they were quick to respond. They set us up with Manuela who came by to meet our cat on short notice. She and Adena from the company were refreshingly responsive to questions and on top of everything. They sent messages for every visit and checked in to make sure we would be back as planned. We never had to worry. Our cat (and dogs) loved Manuela right away. As a pet owner, this is something you notice and matters most. She even cleaned up after everything and watered our plants. We're thrilled to have found this service and most certainly will be using it again. Consider it recommended!

I wrote another review for "Paws at Play" that for some reason isn't showing up on this page, so I will add this one, too!! I COMPLETELY understand how anyone feels leaving their cats/dogs..my two boys (cats) are my CHILDREN and I absolutely hate ever leaving them behind...but since it must happen sometimes, I am just so so so so so happy that I found Paws at Play and specifically Virginia to take care of them!! I have left them probably close to 10 times now with Virginia and she always does an amazing job of making them happy...feeding exactly as I do, cleaning their litter, and playing with them a lot...I'm starting to think they have more fun with her than with me;) Each time I come home, they are both doing so well and that's how I know she is doing a great job!! I'm POSITIVE that she will take excellent care of your babies just as she does with mine!!! Also, she always makes sure to visit at the exact time she says that she will and I know this because she always emails me right after (or during the visit) sometimes with pictures which I love and updates me about how they're doing which makes me feel SO much better!! Also, Oriyan is wonderful to communicate with and she diligently follows up with all visits and even makes sure you get home safely at the end of your trip so that she knows your pets are safe:)

Paws at play did a great job watching my kitten. I got nice updates with pictures every day! They are very professional and reliable. I recommend them to anyone that needs someone to watch their pet.
