I was having some serious clutch issues on my 2007 Ford Mustang. I had already been to a Ford Dealership and they told me I needed a complete clutch replacement for $1900. I was wary that they may be trying to jack me so I went for a second opinion.
Got a recommendation from Ed Little to go to Paul's Transmissions. Because of Ed Little's reputation, I took my car over to Paul's right away. Mike approached me as I pulled up and started asking me all the pertinent questions about my problems. After the initial questions, he took a test drive and confirmed that it was a bad clutch. He ball parked a number for me, which was significantly lower, and asked me what I wanted to do. I told him to go ahead and he immediately called for the exact price of the replacement parts. He came back with the exact quote, a little over $1200 and told me it would be ready by Monday. Monday rolled around and in the late morning I called to check on when it might be ready. They had just finished it and that I could come get it. I was going to be able to pick it up before lunchtime! On top of that, the original quote was the actual price and he even took the time to show me how bad the clutch was (my fault, of course). I drove it off the lot, and my vehicle was running perfectly. I can say these guys have been in business for a long time because they do quality work and at a reasonable cost. High recco for these guys! -

Fixed my transmission for far less than the dealership would have. Did an amazing job, very quickly. I recommend this place 100%.

I would rather eat fiberglass than have to do another transmission replacement on my car, but I consider myself lucky to have found Paul's Transmissions.
When I picked my car up, Mike took at least 30 minutes to show me how my transmission worked, and actually brought out the box of broken parts from my first transmission to show me the specific teeth that had broken off.
Highly recommend Paul's though. they will get it done on time, and they stand by their work. -

Paul's Transmission is the bomb. Mike is actually the owner of this place. Mike is a rarity in the automotive service industry. He is sincere and that's hard to come by nowadays. They been here at this same location for the last 25 years. I've had my BMW 525iT transmission rebuilt here 3 years ago and it is still going strong. Mike is a straight up guy. This is a small shop so at times, it is hard to get through via telephone. His estimate for my job was spot on. Mike also has a one year guarantee on his workmanship which is a plus.
I hope you will not need Mike's service but if you are ever in the need of a trained transmission specialist, check out Paul's Transmission.

My 90 Jeep Cherokee Automatic with 166,000 wouldn't shift into second or fourth, my usual mechanic said he didn't work on transmissions but it would probably end up costing more than the car was worth. Brought it to Pauls Transmission, a day later he explained it needed a new throttle position sensor and total was under $300(!) so my jeep is still alive and kicking.
Thanks Mike for your honesty. This guy is what all mechanics would be like in a perfect world..... -

Honest guys. bottom line is that they listen to you and find the problem and are up front and honest with you. Not trying to just sell you a transmission to make $2000.
I brought by my 1990 land cruiser, told them of some slippage going on into second gear and they fixed by the throttle cable, not even a tranny problem. Then they found loose bolts that had caused a small leak of tranny fluid and just tightened them.
just good trustworthy guys, even if they do give you the dreaded, "need a new or rebuilt tranny" you should trust they aren't trying to just burn you. -

Take your car here.
Paul is bad-ass, he will not rip you off.
-1 star for semi-sketchy location, but really its not that bad. -

The stick shift of my 5 speed 1999 Toyota Tacoma was slipping out of gear, into neutral. Before I took it to Paul's, every backyard mechanic and friend I spoke to was telling me, "Dude, you're going to have to rebuild your tranny, and it'll cost you at least $1000.00." Mike, from Paul's drove my truck around the block, came back and said, "Your transmission sounds fine, it's probably the bushings at the bottom of your stick shift, is $200 going to be okay?" I said, yes, and when they were done a couple of hours later, it actually only came out to $149.00! Truck runs perfectly.
This shop is honest, and knowledgeable. -

These guys rock. I went there with a scary transmission problem and they treated me very fairly. It turned out that a fairly minor fix worked for me and it was less than $100. They were completely honest and helpful.
Plus you can kill time just down the street at Rumor Mill Coffee where you can get food + coffee + wifi. -

I had a check engine light on, and a problem with my truck shifting from 1st to 2nd gear (it took too long). This mechanic I met, I think was Mike, he said he'll diagnose it and let me know in 30 minutes. He said it was the speed sensor, and took 30 minutes to replace it. All was working fine after that, for only $106. Nice.
