I absolutely love this spot. My office is in the same building and this makes it very hard for me to just walk by and not sit for a great cafe.
The bread is what draws you here, but once you try it you'll discover that they offer much more. Vin, not too many people know they serve wine. Don't expect the high end pages and pages of wines to choose from, (remember it's a bakery first), but you may enjoy a nice glass and relax for a while as you people watch on the popular Lincoln Rd.
The best thing? The Almond Croissants, wow! You'll swear you're eating baked goods in France. The baguettes are also very tasty but try the "Two Olive Bread" loaf, very nice and always fresh.
Why not five stars you say? The room is too bright inside during the night, lights could come down a bit. The music needs a little work as well. Here's the big one, it's still fairly new so the staff is still being worked out, but when this is fine tuned I'll change it to five stars.
Prosciutto Sandwich also very good, but start with the fresh croissants and Latte and follow with the breads, then move on.
Sante!
Miami #4
whenever i go on ANY trip, whether it be within the US or not, i always, ALWAYS have to make an attempt to make a quick trip to the nearby, local bakery ... not only am i notorious in being a planner, but the 2 MAJOR places i make sure to hit are a) bakery and a b)gelato // ice cream shop. hahah. a girl's gotta have her sweets, so shut up.
paul maison!!
you are amazing ... before we headed out to the airport, we made a quick run to pick up a sandwich to eat on the plane ... if you like airplane food, then you get a star, but i sure don't like it ... YICK!
after walking around lincoln rd, and buying a tart the night before, i knew this was the place i wanted to pick up a quick sandwich to go to munch on the plane ...
a fantastic bakery/cafe. very cute and frenchy. delicious pastries and tarts. shoot, i ferget which tart i got, but again, being the strawberry fanatic i am, i got their "millefeuille aux fraises strawberry napoleon" for $5. WOW! looks quite ugly but definitely yum.. had a creamy, custardy puff inside, with a coffee kick to it...oh and don't you forget, strawberries in between. amazing! delicious! tasty! def try it when you come to sobe. i love the lil mini vanilla cream boxes they put your goodies in... what a classical touch!
man, it was freakin good.
NOW... for the sandwich ... you can get sandwiches made on the spot, or pick one onto your left where they already have premade sandwiches for the quick and go.
if you love proscuitto as much as i do, then you will be in proscuitto heaven ... (thank GOD i have lucca deli down the street to get a quick proscuitto fix) for $8, get the poppy proscuitto, others didnt look TOO appealing ... because i got the premade one, it wasn't toasted the way i wanted it to be, i had to tear the baguette apart, but yea, i'd say it was a 3.5 stars... but then again, it's because i didn't get a sandwich made on the spot ... the baguette lacks the following: cheese and lettuce to make it more yummy... they DO have 4 slices of tomatos tho..
oh wells, bottom line, i was happy ... isn't that all that matters in the end?

Lots of great choices from sandwiches to salads soups and of course nice French classics.
Quick, easy, affordable lunch food on Lincoln Rd? Hooray for cafes that can cater to the budget-minded (as long as you can stay away from tempting desserts!).
I dig their pseudo-Parisian-cafe atmosphere, the gleaming row of desserts and delectable sandwich accouterments displayed behind the glass case. Caprese sandwich on french baguette, iced coffee, quiche, and a French lemonade were delish and served with a small mixed salad.
This place is perfect for a quick snack, lunch bite, or dessert stop--I can tell it's gonna be popular.
Prices were akin to Panera Bread, service is also similar. The difference is the type of food and atmosphere.
Paul Maison believes in giving good food at a fair price. My stomach agreed. We need more places like this on Lincoln Rd.

I didn't like the north miami location, but I think they do it a little better at this new location. Came for the pastries, had the strawberry tart--excellent, perfect crust, very tasty. Now for the macarons, I thought they were too pricey for $4 each, especially since the chocolate one was a little hard. The vanilla was softer, more melty, and I liked it better (maybe somebody different made it? or they just need better quality control), but still not worth it (comparing it to Bouchon's). Didn't care for the coffee eclair. Plus, it just fell apart.
Lots of great outdoor seating for those beautiful Miami days.. Nice lunch soup/salad/sandwich combos and a huge fresh-baked dessert selection.
A month after discovering that my favorite French-train-station bakery chain sold the same crusty breads and buttery pastries at Japanese train stations, I stumble across one -- in the USA! It's been only a few months since the chain launched in the States, and at first glance it seems to offer much the same menu, although seemingly more focused on lunch. The pastries and bread here are much as I remember them.
Can't comment much on service, since I've only had to-go orders during off-peak hours.
