I was introduced to Paul by a friend who was considering buying real estate in San Francisco. Paul kept me informed on real estate happenings in the city and I really appreciate his candid feedback.
Paul is very familiar with the South Beach neighborhood. If you are interested in buying in this neighborhood, there is no one better to represent you and educate you about the surrounding buildings.

- Paul is not trying to sell you a condo, he's trying to understand your investment strategy and your purpose for owning a new home. He was really helpful in getting me to think about my own strategy and made everything about real estate easy to understand.

I had been looking for a condo to lease. I saw Paul had a nice listing on Craigslist so I emailed him and set up an appt. Paul was extremely unprofessional and crass. He may think that being an ass never comes back to bite you, unfortunately it does. I wouldn't recommend him to an enemy, he doesn't deserve it.
Paul is the man! He has your best interest in mind and he'll get you the best deal out there. Unlike 95% of Realtors out there, he is knowledgeable and knows the bay area real estate landscape. He will tell you things you need to know before you make a decision and not fluff you want to hear.
In my junior year in college in 2002, I spent my summer doing IT consulting at a real estate firm in Sacramento. I got to know many agents, and by the end of the summer, I despised all of them. Most agents I met were uneducated, unprofessional, and extremely arrogant. So when I moved to SF, I was not excited about working with agent.
My entire perception changed after I met Paul.
In 2006, I contacted Paul through craigslist about a rental in south beach. I ended up taking the apartment and have purchased two properties from him since then. Here's what makes him different than everyone else:
1) He is honest. When I decided to purchase my first condo, we looked at lots of spaces (40+) and instead of trying to sell what ever is in front of me, he helped me understand what makes a "good deal." He understands that the only way you're going to be successful long term (in both buyers and sellers markets) is to have integrity and be protect his clients from being screwed.
2) He got me great deals. Paul knows how to negotiate well, and I got great deals on both of my properties. If I had to sell today, I would still make money despite the economic conditions. If you want to make money, Paul will help you find a great deal.
3) He does property management for all of his clients for free. This blew me away. He paid a professional photographer to take pictures of my condo, posted the listing on craigslist, screened all of the parties, and got me top dollar on a one year furnished lease for my rental property.
4) He buys a 50" plasma for his clients. So far I've received two plasmas from Paul -- he wanted to get me a 65" for my last property, but I politely declined, as I would have had to reinforce the wall
5) He is always reachable by email and phone. Whenever I had a question Paul would answer his phone and email immediately. I've received emails from Paul at 2 am before.
I cannot recommend him enough. I've referred three people to him so far and as long he stays in business I will continue to do so. Paul is the only real estate agent I've ever met that I like, and he's made me a lot of equity, found a great tenant who pays his bills every month, is the most trustworthy agent in San Francisco.
I can't ask for a better agent...As a first-time homebuyer, Paul made my first homebuying experience incredibly smooth & simple.
Not only did he found me the best deal, he was extremely helpful in finding excellent quality contractors (with very reasonable price) for my place.
Paul is definitely my favorite agent in the bay area!
Not for the faint of heart ... If you are not accustomed to someone who is honest, reliable, professional, diligent and just a genuinely good guy ... Paul is not for you.
Oh yeah ... if you DON'T want to find the place of your dreams OR DON'T want your place sold ... STAY AWAY!!! STOP WASTING HIS TIME!!!
Paul is a lifesaver and will ALWAYS be my "go to" guy when it comes to real estate!

I worked with paul on selling a home, buying a home, renting the home out, and strategy about the markets and feel he is one of the most trustworthy and honest people in the field.
I like that he is very down to earth . I don't usually trust salesmen/realtors since their commissions are based on closing deals, but I worked with Paul for a while and never felt any pressure, and often was advised against a property I was excited about which shows that he is in it for the long term and isn't going to make a deal that he wouldn't back himself personally.
In addition to knowing the market really well, he is a really hard working and genuinely nice guy who will stretch himself and go out of his way to help out with open houses, helping you move, helping pick up keys, etc.
Hard to believe any negative reviews he may have...
As with most reviews on Yelp, everything has at least a 4+ stars but if I could give Skybox Realty 10 stars I would. No joke, Paul is as good as it gets. Over the last 4 years, my family and I bought/sold properties using at least 4 different realtors and none came close to what Paul offers.
The guy is a wealth of knowledge. There's a reason why he represented over 30+ clients at both the Infinity and One Rincon Hill in 2008.
Here's a true story about Paul...
In 2006 when the market was HOT in San Francisco, I was seriously interested in a loft on South Beach. After working with the previous 4 realtors, I wanted somebody else to represent me and earn the business. I saw one of Paul's ad and gave him a call. Next day, I met him and toured the unit with him. I thought it was a good deal and was serious about making an offer.
After viewing it, Paul told me NOT to make an offer. He said it was overpriced and he could find me a better deal. So basically, Paul talked me out of a sales for himself -I respect that! Looking back 2 years, Paul was right.
Not only is Paul one of the best realtors in San Francisco, but he is an overall nice guy. He truly looks out for his clients and that's why he'll earn my business from now on. It's hard to find a realtor that you trust but I'm thankful I already did.
oh in 2008 Paul found the PERFECT place!
Paul kicks butt. He is pro-active, knowledgeable, professional, and honest, not to mention lots of fun to work with. He'll go the extra mile for you to make you happy. He's the first person I would turn to if I needed to buy or sell some real estate. Paul ROCKS!!
Paul rocks. i bought my first condo earlier this year and let me tell you, dealing with new developments and HOAs is a HUGE pain in the ass not to mention dealing with the stress of everything else that comes with making a large financial commitment. but Paul was a great broker in helping me deal with the mess that is known as buying a place. he's very attentive to the details, always made himself available for all the condo-related appointments (even offering feedback on the window treatments!) and dealt with my overbearing Taiwanese mom who had his cell on speed dial (hell the man even drove her to neiman marcus one day). and for that, he is a saint. the man knows his stuff and i would highly recommend him to anybody looking for a place especially within the SoMa area.
