Best breakfast joint EVER!!!

I love goin' down to the Eggnest doesn't matter if it's the Mill creek, Monroe, or Everett location they all are consistently good. Get there early, beat the crowd.

Watch out, on a Sunday at the Mill creek location. There is a church next door to it. The Christians will be there in droves, they will be loud, and obnoxious still high on Allah.

Besides that this place has the best morning time eats around. Big American sized portions. Very home style breakfast, right down to the freshly squeezed juices.

It's to bad it is only open until 3:00 in the afternoon.

A good solid breakfast.  Bring some snacks for the friendly kitty who likes to hang out front! :)

I'd heard good things and I'd say they were pretty spot on.  It's a pretty standard breakfast, so I'll focus on what set them apart.

It was crowded, but unlike anywhere else, they set out free lemonade and coffee for you to enjoy while you wait.  Very nice.

The food portions are very large, so plan to have leftovers.  And the selection is very generous.

Be warned, anything sweet is going to come with a TON of butter/cream.  Delicious.  Healthy?  Eh, probably not so much.

A pretty decent turnaround time, we arrived with a wait on Sunday morning, but were seated in just about 10 minutes.  Food also comes out quickly.

The staff was good, but our server was somewhat inattentive.  Else I would give 5.

Oh boy. So haven't eaten an American breakfast in a while and I decide that Patty's is the place to go. Well, the operation was a success but this patient died from too much food. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast with three scrambled eggs, two pieces of toast, a wealth of crispy hash browns and a large portion of... Chicken... Fried... Steak. How can you beat two of the greatest things about American cuisine: fried and steak? I shouldn't have eaten this at all, considering the regiment I've been on. It was worth it, but not for my poor body. I swear they cooked the gravy with straight butter, just had such a rich taste. And I only finished a third of my steak.

Definitely if you do go, be prepared to wait on a Saturday breakfast brunch time. Don't be stupid and think you'll get seated right away. If you do think this way, be real, you're sorry.

Perfection on a plate.

Casual, fun, sunday morning breakfast dining!  I came here with my girlfriend, as this has been her favorite breakfast spot for years.  I wasn't aware it was down the street and hidden in a strip mall, so this came as a big surprise to me.

Needless to say, the breakfast came to the table appearing ready for glamour shots.  To my surprise, it tasted as amazing as it looked.  I have never seen an english muffin so perfectly buttered, IN MY LIFE!

If you are looking for great tasty food and a casual atmosphere, you have to give Patty's a try!  You won't regret it!

This is absolutely, hands down, one of the most delicious places with the BEST service. Every time I come here I am never let down.

The food is great. I usually always get the veggie scramble with fruit. Lots of spinach and bell peppers, and just full of flavor. My boyfriend gets the big foot (dang!) but he loves it everytime.

Even better than the food (and this is rare) is the service. This place has found the perfect balance between too little and too much attention and it seems like the wait staff is always in the best mood. I love that.

My coffee cup is always filled, and although the coffee is a little weak, this place deserves the best of stars!

I really wanted to like this place. I really did. It's apparently a local legend that everybody loves. Its not a dennys or ihop, which is totally rad.

The waitress was nice. She was so good on my cup of coffee that I think I had like 10 cups and I didn't even mean to. As soon as that thing was half empty she filled it up like some sort of super optimist.

But this really is a restaurant. My biggest complaint was the grease I ordered had a little food. Oops sorry, the food I ordered had a little grease. Maybe I just don't have the stomach I used to.

Food is AMAZING..service can be a bit slow, but I've come to expect that as the norm in Seattle.  I love going here on a lazy weekend morning and soaking up the grease.  Breakfast food at it's finest and HUGE portions.  I've had lunch here as well and it is also delicious.  Can be a little pricey if you are just looking for the basics..but if you are starving and want a huge meal that tastes like mom made it, come on down!

A smaller place located in a strip mall that I would have never known was here until someone introduced me to it.

For a Sunday morning, they were pretty packed and let us know that it'd probably be about a 5 to 10 minute wait for a table..  We actually got seated within a couple minutes.

This definitely is not a place to go for the atmosphere.  Tables were closely fit upon each other to fit as many customers in as possible and are plastic covered.

I ended up having the eggs benedict with hash browns for $9.95.  A little expensive, but there was so much food, that I couldn't finish the whole meal.  The meal is actually served on a larger elongated plate and not the typical plate and filled to each side.

The food was decent, but I have definitely had better eggs benedict.

Service was excellent... didn't have to wait to order, I never got to the bottom of my coffee cup and even though quite busy, the wait for our food to arrive was quite short.

We had breakfast for lunch on a Saturday afternoon.  And everything we ordered was yummy (although a bit greasy), but hey, I guess that's to be expected for a home cook'n breakfast place.

The portions are huge.  I was only able to eat 1/2 my omlette.  We're originally from Texas and my husband misses having Chicken Friend steak.  So he ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs.  I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the Chicken Fried Steak turned out... just like we used to have in Texas.

Service was great.  Everyone working there was very friendly, kept refilling our coffee, and packed our table with all kinds of condiments, jams, syrup, etc.  The food came out super fast.  I couldn't have asked for better service.

My only complaint was that it smelled very greasy inside.  They propped opened the doors to the restaurant for alittle while and it helped.  It's definately not the place to go if you want to eat lite.  But if you are hungry for some breakfast that sticks to your ribs, it definately hits the spot.

I've been here for brunch with friends a couple of times. The food is pretty good - french toast with berries came with plenty of fruit. A bit pricey but the portions are huge. I would prefer to pay less for less food, though - I don't always feel like hauling around a container of leftovers. The atmosphere is not great - it feels rushed and is usually noisy. I would go there again but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Company = Church praise band
Mood = Sleepy~

I've been to both the Mukilteo and Mill Creek location for years and I must say, its some pretty good stuff! = D

Both places dish out their food very consistently. Portions are very filling and the coffee never stops.  Although the specials differ at both locations, I have my favorites. The biscuits and sausage gravy tastes as good as it gets! The Louisiana scramble, hunter's breakfast, and the NY steak specials always hit the spot when I need to start my day off early. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and is both sweet and refreshing while the hash browns are done right with no seasoning just like they should be. You get your selection of toast along with an assortment of jam packets to spread all over the soft, crunchy toast. The eggs/omelets are fluffy but I can pretty much sum everything up and say you won't be disappointed with whatever you order.

I miss all the great breakfast places in Texas and Patty's Eggnest is as close as you can get to the real deal. Tried Patty's Eggnest on a Sunday afternoon. Good variety on the menu with hearty breakfast choices. I got the Country Benedict and the pancakes with mixed berries. My brother got the vegetarian omelet. I heard a clunking sound all throughout the meal and realized it was the sound of the meal sticking to my ribs!
Nothing like a hearty breakfast on a Sunday afternoon followed by a siesta watching Napoleon Dynamite.

This place is awesome!! Great specials, great huge portions and the good is good!! Great orange juice!! The hashbrowns are really good! The Chicken fried steak very good!!! That country gravy is excellent!
I have to say on a Saturday or Sunday Patty's is the place you want to go to if you are looking for some good food. If you wait until after 10 though the line creeps out the door for a reason!

They do a good job of serving your standard breakfast here. The portions are huge and the price is not bad. They can never do me wrong here, the bacons are perfectly crispy, the eggs is just right, pancake is - well, how can you screw up pancakes? ok you can but let's just say they were not burnt which is a-ok with me. And the service was fast, good with the refills and ready to give us the check so we can bounce.

I was in breakfast heaven!  The whole experience was a touch and go for me, but  here is what I remembered:

toast - nice and thick slices...
homemade jam - raspberry and strawberry...
fresh squeeze orange juice - from real oranges...
sausage - plump and tasty...
hash browns - crispy outside, soft inside, buttery flavor...
coffee/water - refills every other sip

Oh, it's on the pricey side, but the portions are HUGE and the service was great.

one of the strangest experiences of my life...i'm asian. i know, but don't drop your jaw to stare. i was the only non-white at this place and i felt like i was on display. people turned in their seat to look at me, the kid on the large wall-length booth bench thing scooted away from me.... after the initial shock factor, i ate, and left. my friend still raves about this place, but to me...breakfast food is all the same!

Patty's is terrific.  It's one of those restaurants that you don't go to very often, and when you do, you ask yourself "why don't I come here more often?"

The food is very tasty - you can order your typical breakfast food (pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc.)  But they also have different scrambles - one made with Gyro meat, for instance.  Today I had the "Hermes", which had bacon, spinach, and feta.  Every bit as good as it sounds.

The servings are large enough that you can have a full stomach and *still* take half home for later.  Given the price point of around $10, it's a great deal.

Coffee is great (a requirement for every good breakfast place), service tends to be fast, and the wait isn't long if you time it right.  (It's certainly less than Maltby.)

Go get some breakfast at Maltby's.  And invite me along with you!  Because I don't go there as often as I should :-)

A lot of "if's"

If you're near one of these restaurants why would you go to any other breakfast spot???

If you have friends in Washington and they've never told you about this spot...just do what Paris Hilton does to her undies when she's in front of a camera and drop em' fast.

How good is this place??? So good it'll make you believe in god.

Let's not joke around kids..Patty's Egg Nest provides the best "American Grill" breakfasts in Washington State.

Portions...are...HUGE!!!! The Omelletes are among the cheesiest I've ever seen or tasted.  (Bacon and cheddar cheese...ain't nuttin' wrong with that!)

The service was great!!! The wait for parties of 2 or more...meh...is worth it!!!

The Orange Juice es muy delicioso!! AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE ORANGE JUICE!!!!

This place is full of surprises, good prices and good service...the cooks are so good they'll make your least favorite dish one of the tastiest things you'll ever have.

No joke!! come here and you'll never think of breakfast the same way again.  grub well....I know I did :)

OK D-
I gotta say that Patty's is the best breakfast ever, but I will also say that the one up north in Mill Creek is 10 times better than the one in Greenwood. The service is better( I think it is because all the girls that work there have been there forever). But also food there is magnificent. Eggs Benedict are my fave, and thats all that I ever get, unless I have a hankerin' for some french toast. So make the drive,  and head up to one of the few cool spots up north...

A good sign for me that a breakfast place is a winner: huge portions, delicious & fresh ingredients, yet inexpensive.  Sometimes seeing a crowd form outside is also a good sign, but not always.  In this case, it is.

I've had several items off their menu now, from their french toast topped with a generous heap of berries & cream, to their frittata-style 3-egg omelettes which comes with homemade hashbrowns & toast, and have never been able to finish it all in one sitting.  A carafe of fresh squeezed orange juice is highly-recommended to wash it all down.  I don't know what they put in their coffee, it's just Boyd's coffee, but here it just seems really good for some reason.

Too bad it's in a strip mall & gets pretty crowded on the weekends.  That's o.k.  They provide iced tea & coffee while you wait for your table outside.  Try & beat the church-crowd, and you won't have much of a wait.  Once you're inside, you completely forget you're in a strip mall.  The place is noisy, but homey, great for families.   Remember to pick up their frequent diner punch card, because I have a feeling you'll be back again & again.

I luv this place, we use to go to the original in Greenwood, loved it so much we HAD to follow it to Millcreek!  Not the original owners, but the quality and portions are still top notch!  Actually I like the new owners better, they run the restaurant better, more cooks and better wait-staff.  I like the fresh OJ they serve and for breakfast this is the place, worth the wait if there is a line.

My favorite is the Eggs Benedict, yum, served with plenty of hash browns and the staff keeps the hot, non-starbucks thank God, coffee coming.

We had breakfast at 11:00 am on a Sunday and in Seattle that could mean you might as well have an early dinner. Our wait time was minimal.

We were pleasantly surprised with the kind service, tasty food, and no major wait like other breakfast places in the Seattle area. The Swedish pancakes were well cooked as some places tend to make them bland, rubbery, and/or oily. My side of scrambled eggs was generous; about 3 eggs worth. My husband's eggs benedict was average however the hollandaise sauce was nice & light. The harsh browns (not cubed spuds) have a good balance of crispy & fluffy. The big disappointment was the grapefruit juice - they might as well call it pink kool-aid.

Patty's is by far a no nonsense breakfast place. Let's be real, breakfast is a simple meal however we place high expectations on it. With that said, Patty's is a tasty & enjoyable breakfast place when your in the North end -  we'll be back.

Patty's Eggnest is one of the best places to score a great breakfast in Lynnhood.  They also serve a mean lunch.  The portions are huge, the service is very friendly, and the food is delicious.

Standouts for me include the corned beef hash, the multitude of different omelets, and the biscuits and gravy.  My wife always orders the Nutter Butter french toast with bananas.

Tuesday is double stamp day for their punch card, FYI.  If you happen to drop by on the weekends, the wait is well worth it.

Try the orange juice, it's superlative.

Patty's served us the best breakfast on Monday that I have had in a long time, and some of the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. The biscuit was very light and tasty, the gravy had a good taste and texture, not as if it was warmed up just for me from a can entitled "Gravy". The bacon slices were very tasty and thick sliced.

My wife got the strawberry waffle, and was surprised with a waffle piled high with strawberries instead of strawberry syrup.

My son (3) got pigs in the blanket, which was 2 bigger pancakes around 2 bigger than usual sausages, which threw him off, as they were not the usual small link sausages.

Very open seating, with densely placed tables, this is not the place if you want to be a secret. There were 2 groups in there with 8-10 each, but there was no problem being served.

Our opinion was that it was pretty pricey, and $5-7 above what we normally pay for breakfast. But it was good, no joke.

Nom Nom Nom..... goes my tummy.  Pretty tasty stuff.  Our table was a mix of Swedish pancakes, omelette's and waffles.  The only complaint I heard was the waffles were crispy on the outside and gooey (as in not cooked) on the inside.  It was busy, but we were seated right away.  Fast service, nice peeps.

My girlfriend and I went here on a Sunday around 10:45 AM. It was pretty busy but we were seated quickly. The service was as quick as it could be for being so packed. I had a ham omelet and she had biscuits and gravy. Our meals were great. There are plenty of choices and I will not have a problem finding something different to try next time. The food was very decently priced considering the portions are huge. I'm not the biggest fan of breakfast but I will definitely be going back to this place.

I adore Patty's Eggnest food.
Generally, my breakfast of choice is the Strawberry Belgian Waffle. The strawberries are of the fresh assortment, not the kind in heavy syrup, and the whip cream is fresh too. I like a couple of their omelettes, although (and this is just my opinion) it seems like they put a little too much cheese in them. The fresh OJ is normally pretty good, but maybe not worth what it costs. The small glass is around 3 bucks, and it's smaller than the size of a sippy cup.

I am never impressed by the service, it's always kind of hit and miss. And by that I mean more miss than hit, but they're busy and I'm sure they are trying. I don't think anyone goes here for the decor either, it is just a diner. Parking can be a little bit of a pain, and when there's a line, it sucks waiting outside, (this IS the Washington area where warmth isn't available all the time).  The only reason to go here is definitely for the food, thus the four star rating.

Breakfast is great well considering that there is really nothing around this area that comes close to a large portioned and good tasting restaurant.  Usually the wait is not that long and they will give free coffee on weekends outside the front door.
Chandler the decor is basic diner style ....but I find myself more interested in my conversation w/my family then looking around the restaurant...

my thought is this:  everything made at patty's eggnest was made for giants.

seriously.

the sausage links were like an inch thick.  my scrambled eggs looked like they were made with 15 eggs.  the sausage biscuits and gravy could have been a meal unto itself.  the hash browns looked like they had a dosage to stay on the wrestling team, they were so enlarged.

and damn good, too.

just imagine the jokes circling my head about the sausage.
short and fat.  just like...um.....
*insert name of random ex boyfriend here*
yeah, i went there.

i couldn't finish my breakfast, but it was probably the best breakfast i've had in a long time.

another good point:  nutter butter french toast.  seriously? dang.

and freshly squeezed oj good enough to lick the glass.

...though i didn't.

Well, I've been to Patty's twice this month. I was going to write a review after my first visit, but I need to go one more time just to make sure if I'm just being an a**. On the first visit, we were waiting for about 10-15 minutes for the table which is totally acceptable. I know that the restaurant was busy and it was on Saturday, but they took about 35 minutes before they took our order.

They never bring me the orange juice that I ordered, so I asked the waitress and she said I never order one. The weird thing is when we receive the check, they still charging us for the  orange juice. I let them know and they fixed it. The total bill was somewhere around $50, and we give $70 ($50 & $20 bill). They never came back with the change. We were waiting, and after around 15 minutes, the waitress came and asked us if we are expecting some change (with a weird look on her face).

So after I got back home, I was thinking that maybe they are just too busy, so I decided to come back again on the following tuesday.

There were about 9-12 customers total inside the restaurant, so I was hoping to get a nice service. Still took them 25 minutes just to ask me what I want to eat. And as always my orange juice never made it to my table. Most customers that came after me got their food even before they take my order.

Honestly saying, the food was great! I love their egg benedict and the chicken fried steak, but with service like this, I'm not sure if I'm gonna be back for the third time (I still want to try their orange juice), or maybe I will try different location.

Patty's Eggnest is a great place for a great breakfast! I'm not even too sure that they didn't just miss my fifth star because I don't frequent it very often.  You get large portions, good food, and a great "diner" experience, haha. It's a relaxed-feeling sort of atmosphere in here. If you're coming on the weekends, you should def be prepared for a wait to be seated, but it's worth the wait! From great chicken-fried steak, good eggs and hash, coffee that'll speak for itself, all the basics of a hearty breakfast are served up here and served up well!  It's one of those places that shows that breakfast doesn't need to be the fanciest meal in the world, but if you get a good hearty meal of tasty well-prepared food, the customers will stand in line waiting to get a plate!

The only thing stopping me from going every week is the higher prices due to such large portions.  It works if you want leftovers.  Otherwise every time I go whatever I order (except the hashbrowns) has been fabulous.  The specials listed on the table tend to be the best portion sizes.   I really like the frequent diner cards they offer and the small town diner feel.

Who knew this place was so popular and FAMOUS?? The walls are plastered with local and national newspaper and magazine reviews heralding Patty's Eggnest as the "Best Breakfast in Seattle." And it's not even really in Seattle. No wonder we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table! (outside in the rain, no less, since they don't have a lounge inside)

The food was pretty damn good and the servings were huge. I had pancakes with mixed berries and they weren't stingy on the fruit at all: I'd say there was a good cup and a half on top. My friend had a 4-egg omelet with hashbrowns and toast. I tried his food and was a little jealous I didn't order it myself. The hashbrowns were probably the best I've ever tasted. Service was friendly and fast. Overall, it was worth the wait.

Here's is why it failed to reach 5 stars: NOISY. I am a soft spoken person who doesn't feel comfortable raising my voice, especially at breakfast. Breakfast time should be a quiet time. No one wants to start their day off yelling or listening to yelling. One of the reasons there was so much yelling was because the restaurant has hired a balloon artist/magician to go from table to table, entertaining folks. Mostly he does this for kids, but he's a nice guy and will ask every single person in the restaurant if they want a balloon animal. Anyway, the kids find this very exciting and yell-worthy. Personally, I found the squeaky sound of rubber on rubber a bit disconcerting, and I even jumped out of my chair a bit when the kid seated behind me popped her poodle balloon right in my ear. Naturally, the waitresses were yelling to be heard over the sound of the kids and balloons and the customers were yelling just to hear each other.

If you aren't so much like me and can handle screaming and loud noises, you'll love this place. The food more than made up for the fact that I needed a stress-reducing massage after dining here.

My sister and I love Patty's eggnest. The food is great, the OJ's fresh squeezed, and when it's busy on the weekends they leave a pitcher of lemonade  outside the door so you have something to drink while you're waiting. Love it!

After all the hype about Patty's Eggnest that I'd heard from others, I though that it would be an absolutely awesome experience. However, it was very disappointing. The prices were a bit higher than I would expect for a breakfast joint, although you do get A LOT of food for your dollar. Although the thought of fresh-squeezed orange juice was appealing, once I got it, it was warm. They did have great coffee though.

I raced up to this place for breakfast after reading all the amazing Yelp reviews but i was pretty disappointed. Incredibly long wait (which I wouldn't have minded if the food was worth it, but it wasn't). I had the crab benedict. The crab was dry, the eggs were undercooked and runny, the hollandaise sauce was bland, the potatoes were burnt. Pretty expensive for what we got, too. I wouldn't come back here, seriously. I was SHOCKED that people were calling this the best breakfast in seattle. If you want a really good place, try the brown bag cafe instead.
