I met Patty when she was making cakes from her home many years ago when my
now 16 year old daughter was just a baby. She made my daughters baptism cake
and a few of her birthday cakes and they were beautiful and so delicious.
Her cakes are light and moist and the frosting (I am not sure exactly what it is) is like a mix of buttercream and whipped cream so its not too sweet and is the perfect texture.
A few years ago I was planning my husbands 40th birthday party and I remembered
Patty. I moved out of Fullerton so I wasn't sure if she was around. Thank god she
was because she made his cake which was marble cake with mini chocolate chip
filling. It was a half sheet cake and I had zero left overs. Everyone was asking who
made it and said they loved it.
Well now that I found her on yelp and facebook I will be sure that she makes all my event cakes and I wont lose track of her!
Try her cakes...she goes out of her way to make you happy and you will love her

THREE cupcake reviews in a row. somebody needs to stop me before my clogged arteries do. please. help.
well, before my cholesterol levels get too high, i suppose i should spread the good tidings of the oh so delicious cupcakes and cake that i have been privy enough to eat from patty's (not that i really need to with the 4.5 star rating they already have!). it all started when i was much too lazy to bake cupcakes for my sister's bachelorette party. i called up patty's cakes and spoke to my homeboy, phillip, and ordered a dozen, assorted please with the hardiest frosting you can make. the mission seemed impossible...they were to be picked up on thursday evening, survive a car ride to vegas on friday morning, and sit around sweltering until friday night. the little guys were refrigerated overnight, i blasted the AC, and lo and behold...they held up until i surprised and delighted my sister, a full 24 hours later!
patty's (cup)cakes are delicious (and moist) champions i tell ya!! -

I was looking on yelp for a bakery for my little brothers cake. I decided to come here since there's been so many good reviews. The cakes that I showed the guy was ON their website... Apparently they said they don't make those cakes... Not even the ones on yelp.... I came to wonder what cakes to they make then when all the cakes on their websites and yelp they don't make....
He said they only make plain, normal original cakes.... Nothing more.... I guess most of the items on their websites and yelp does not belong to them.... So be warned don't bother coming here to get a pretty cake... -

I've had Patty's cupcakes many times before form going to weddings and such. They are always so moist, which isn't common in bakeries I find which are dry and crumbly. I just had one of the chocolate cupcakes yesterday with the frosting with chocolate chips in it and AGAIN! SO GOOD.
I love that they use frosting to decorate rather than that fondant stuff....thats stuff is like hard play-do..yack!
Keep it Patty's! -

After I recently read the great reviews by Winnie H. and Timmy S., I had to check out Patty's cakes!
I originally had trouble finding this little place and was really happy when I finally found it. Located in a very quiet shopping center off of Raymond in Fullerton, this place is pretty easy to miss at first. On our first attempt, there weren't any signs. But on the second attempt, there were tons of great signs (in pink, of course!) right out in front. It was so much easier to find! Yay!
Since we can never eat too much chocolate, I ordered the chocolate caramel salty and the chocolate chip cupcakes. They were both so yummy! Although the chocolate chip cupcake was good, the chocolate caramel salty was amazing. I'm a huge fan of caramel, and there was a perfect blend of chocolate and caramel. With the right amount of salt in the caramel frosting, this cupcake was my favorite. My son and I really loved this one!
The service here was great. The young man who worked here was friendly and helpful. I also like the coupon for a free cupcake when I write a review. Well, I can do that! With step-by-step instructions, I can't wait to redeem the coupon for another amazing cupcake!
With reasonable prices, great service, and delicious cupcakes, we will be going back for another round of incredible cupcakes soon!Listed in: Simply Sweet

Cupcakes were just alright.
Pros - Unique flavors
Cake is moist even after the next day
Big in size
Cons - Frosting, too much of it and their version of "mousse" tasted like shortening...
Yuck!
To me, frosting either makes or breaks the cupcake experience. -

The cupcakes are delicious, I love the Elvis. The staff is super nice and very helpful. I had a fun cake idea for my boyfriend's birthday and they did a great job! The design turned out great (was a turntable) and the cake was moist and delicious.
Glad I found a great bakery in Fullerton. Way better then the "other one" up in Brea. -

Review from Timmy S.
I am a weak man. I have no willpower.
A couple days ago I read a review of this place by Winnie H. The photos she posted of the cupcakes haunted me. I thought about them day and night. Night and day. So I snuck out of work when no one was looking and headed to Patty's and ended up purchasing a six-pack. Of cupcakes!
It's located in an out of the way area, sort of hidden behind a vacant storefront, and I darn near passed it up even though they have good signage. The guy who helped me was quite nice and explained to me what they had to offer. Cake balls and lots of cupcakes. Plus they do fantastic wedding cakes (a young couple were trying to choose their wedding cake while I was there). Unable to decide on a cupcake, I went to their list of six specialty cupcakes and ordered one of each. In a few minutes they had them nicely packaged in a box that kept them separated and movement-free. I practically ran out to my car and just sat and looked at them for awhile. http://www.yelp.com/bi... During the course of the day, one by one they vanished. Yes, yes, I ate 6 cupcakes in one day. Pick your jaw up off the ground.
"Elvis" consisted of banana cake with a peanut butter mousse topping and some good-sized bacon chunks on top. Each flavor was distinct and very complimentary. Winnie didn't steer me wrong when she said this was a "must".
The "Butter Pecan" was the biggest surprise of the bunch. It was filled with apple and a cream cheese mousse on top along with some sort of buttery-caramel sauce...not sure what it was but it tasted like eating a caramel apple. I really liked it a lot.
The "Lemon Colada" was made of lemon cake with a big dollop of lemon goo inside with vanilla frosting and coconut shavings on top. Mmmmmm....lemony!
The "Chocolate Caramel Salty" was chocolate cake with a cream filling topped with fudge frosting and a thick layer of salty caramel on top of that. This was the single best cupcake I've ever had in my life. Ever. I'm not joking.
The "Chocolate Chipper" consisted of chocolate cake with chocolate chips and chocolate drizzled potato chips on top. My least favorite out of all of them but still tasty. Could have used more chips.
The "Peanut Butter Pretzel" was chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and chocolate drizzled pretzels on top. The pretzel and peanut butter cream was a great combo. The cupcake had a regular cream center filling - would have been even better if it was also peanut butter cream.
Each cupcake was so moist. This is my biggest gripe with cupcake places and why I generally don't like cupcakes - they are DRY. But Patty's were all moist. Each and every one of them was moist, especially the Chocolate Caramel Salty. MOIST! The way God intended cupcakes to be . That alone pushed my rating to the top.Listed in: Sweet Tooth

Review from Winnie H.
Located in an unassuming plaza, Patty's Cakes is a lovely shop that provides delicious treats and courteous service. Their cupcakes are $3 each but a Yelp check-in will yield a free cupcake/cake pop with the purchase of three. That's a fantastic deal. It didn't take much arm twisting for me to jump on it. Here's how it went down:
The Elvis (5 stars) - Peanut butter mousse and bacon pieces on top of a banana cupcake. http://www.yelp.com/bi... I've got some serious hunka hunka burning love for this one. Surely if The King was alive today, he would be hanging out at Patty's Cakes popping these tasty morsels in his mouth left and right. The peanut butter, bacon, and banana worked really well together to give each bite a three dimensional flavor of fruity, salty, and nutty. It is a must-try before you leave the building.
Lemon Colada (4 stars) - Lemon cake with a lemon jelly filling and vanilla frosting covered in coconut. http://www.yelp.com/bi... This is perfect for lemon lovers. The taste kind of reminded me of a lemon meringue pie.
Chocolate Caramel Salty (4 stars) - Chocolate cake topped with chocolate frosting and a generous dollop of salted caramel. http://www.yelp.com/bi... There was a good ratio of caramel and salt to accompany every bite of the cake.
Chocolate Chipper (3 stars) - Chocolate cake with a chocolate chip mousse and chocolate dipped potato chips on top. http://www.yelp.com/bi... This one sounded better on paper than in actual cupcake form. It's like a ding dong with Oreo frosting. Unfortunately, the chocolate dipped potato chips didn't add to the cupcake.
The size of the cupcake is a little smaller than what I'm used to but you can tell they use quality ingredients and create them with a lot of care. -

Came here with a friend, she had her own check-in offer and so did I for the 1 free cupcake or cake ball. We got two cake balls each and we were going to pay separately but they were only going to accept 1 free cake ball check-in offer. The guy said that the check-in offer was for 1 free cake ball for every 4 (where does it say that on the yelp check in) :( I have been deceived. :( :(
Anyway, the cake balls are moist and sweet. But I deduct two stars for not honoring the check-in offer. -

Being a cupcake fanatic, I'm always looking for new places to try in hopes that I can find the one. If I may say, Patty's comes pretty close. Although, their cupcakes are smaller than most bakeries I've visited, the taste makes up for it. The carrot and red velvet cupcakes were delicious. I've tried Sprinkles, Frosted, Mrs. Beasley's and they do not compare to Patty's.

La Mirada, CA
I've been here two other times since the first time I came here. Both times, picking up cupcakes for a birthday. Both times I checked in with yelp, and received one FREE cupcake with the purchase of three cupcake. I usually get two cupcakes and randomly pick the other two.
My personal favorite is the chocolate cupcake with the peanut butter mousse. The other is the red velvet because that is my sister's favorite. I have tried the Elvis, which was surprisingly good. The ones I thought were okay were the white Chambard and the lemon. For the Chambard, I thought it tasted a little medicine-like but the cake was good. The lemon one, just wasn't my favorite, I personally don't like lemon, but got it for my mom because I wanted to get her a flavor that wasn't too sweet. As the topping on this one, it is not like most of them because it was jelly like. The cupcake was refreshing, I would get it if I knew someone who like lemon cake though. The white chocolate chip was okay too, very simple if that's want you like, just a white cake with vanilla mousse with chocolate chips.
I like that their cakes are moist, and their mousse topping isn't too sweet. I can't wait for another opportunity to go there so I can have an excuse to try the other flavors.Listed in: Sweet Tooth

Reading the reviews about this place gives me a point toward my daily needed assurance that I am actually very sane, and most of the outside world is insane. I agree with 99 percent of the reviews for this place. I'm glad that on this review I won't be the only one who knows what I am talking about!!!
This bakery is the BEST. I never had a favorite bakery before, but now i do. I have tried about half the menu, and let me tell you that the frosting is creamy, cupcakes ALWAYS moist.
Patty Cakes Patty Cakes, they're my bakerssss...men!?
Oh well, I tried. -
Review from Dave G.
Well it's one for the Money, Two for the Show, Three to get ready, Four Chins Go!
Yes that's what will happen to you if you eat The Elvis. It's a cupcake with banana cake, topped with peanut butter mousse, and .....BACON. Elvis' favorite sandwich that gave him all those chins, can be yours in Cupcake form. It's absolutely delicious, the sweetness of the banana cake, the saltiness of the bacon, and the creamy peanut butter mousse that holds it all together so well. They weren't skimpy on the bacon either, it had several nice thick pieces of it on top. Let's face it Bacon is the new ketchup, just put it on everything. It's basically a condiment now. Any day you will see it ground up in powdered form right next to those little packs of salt and pepper.
We needed a birthday cake for my daughter, and like any good father, I had to sample the bakery first. 4 cupcakes should do it. When I walked in, I was wondering where all the cupcakes were? Just a menu hanging on the wall and a few cake balls in the display case. Well it turns out that the cup cakes aren't frosted until you order it. It might mean that the order process is a little slow, but they want your cupcake to be perfect. That also means you can create any combination of cake and frosting you want. Although, just trust them, they have a bunch of combinations listed on their menu (23 I think). Some have names....so The Elvis had to be ordered of course, Chocolate Caramel Salty, and a Lemon Drop and then a red velvet with cream cheese mousse.
My wife's favorite was the Chocolate Caramel Salty. Chocolate cake, fudge, caramel, and sea salt. If you like salty toffee in chocolate, you will like this one. The Lemon Drop was interesting. Rather than frosting, it was topped with a strong lemon jelly that you might find inside a donut. I think I would prefer frosting if I ordered it again. The red velvet was very good. This was topped with a cream cheese mousse. The result was the same flavor of cream cheese frosting, but whipped much lighter, so it had a consistency of a butter cream frosting. This could be good or bad for you depending on how you like your frosting. I like mine a little thicker. One thing I did like about the cupcakes was that they inject a little frosting in the middle of the cupcake as well.
So they passed the Daddy test, and we ordered a half sheet red velvet cake with cream cheese mousse frosting. My daughter wanted a Barbie in a purple princess dress. They helped us find an image online and my daughter loved that she could pick which design. They were really great about taking their time with us and got exactly what she wanted. When we picked up the cake, it looked just like the picture, they did a great job. And the important part, it tasted just as great as their cupcakes. So thanks Patty's cakes, we'll be happy to use you guys again. -

Great place! I ordered cupcakes for a Christmas exchange last week and wanted four of them individually wrapped--or boxed I should say. And they were happy to do so! Plus, they even tied a cute red ribbon/bow around the box, very festive. The only one I tried was the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese mousse; it was fantastic! Both my sister and I thought so. It tasted very homemade and is also very convenient because I've been looking for a good cupcake place that isn't too far from where I live (even though it's worth the drive!).
I then gave it a shot and asked if they could have a birthday cake ready in two days for pick up. They said yes, which was definitely a relief! It costed $27 for an 8-inch round with just basic decoration and was ready two days after. It was a marble cake with cookies n' cream filling..fantastic!
I am coming here for my cake/cupcake needs from now on. -

It ain't no secret that cupcakes and stoners go hand in hand like OC Milfs and Gucci bags. Ive been here couple time already and I love that its 2 mins from my house. Awesome!
Patty's is run by none other then Patty and her son. They really give you that great mom and pop feel. They have an assortment of cupcakes but i really like the banana. Prices aren't too bad although I did get a Red Velvet Raspberry Cream Cake here for a friends birthday party and that came out a little steep, but you get what you pay for. I wish I can keep this place a secret but that's not fair to Patty and her great cakes and of course you yelpers as well.
Thanks Patty and Son's my friend really loved her cake!

Since my favorite bakery, Black Forest Bakery in Lake Forest, shut down, I was roaming the world cake less and had managed to throw two parties sans cake because I could not fathom to serve average cake. Thank my lucky stars I found Patty's Cakes! A friend had used them for her wedding cake, which I thought tasted so fresh and delightful, I thought I would give it a shot!
I went in to order a birthday cake about ten days before the event. I was told they might be a bit busy, but they checked and said they could do it. Yay! Going through their computer of past cake designs was easy and I was able to create a design that I wanted for my daughter's first birthday cake. How exciting!
Checked-in with the Yelp deal for a free cupcake or cake ball, and Philip talked me into taking advantage of their buy one get one 1/2 off cake ball deal. So I walked away with two cupcakes and four cake balls. OH...EM...GEE...these cake balls. I can't even begin to tell you how good they are...but I will try. First of all, I ate all four of them, intending to share, but didn't. These are densely packed little balls of cake with amazing flavor! I describe them as being like Starbucks cake pops, but about ten times better! They are amazing! The four flavors I had were the Red Velvet, Smores, Banana, and Lemon. My favorite was definitely the Smores, but I'd say the other three were a close tie! YUM! The cupcakes were opposite in density. They were light and fluffy, but equally tasty. Being the cake balls were easier to eat, I would go for those again. I would drive 37 minutes just to get those cake balls! Okay, maybe not, but if in the area...would put on the stop list!
The Birthday Cake was amazing! It was more beautiful than I expected it to be! It even had sparkles...yay! The flavors I chose were red velvet with chocolate chip mousse and apple spice with cream cheese. Both layers were so amazing, light and fluffy, flavorful and not too sweet. They even threw in a mini smash cake for free for the first birthday. That cake was vanilla with whipped cream. Since my daughter didn't smash it, she was very gingerly, I ended up eating it! I think it was the best of the three flavors! Yum!
We received so many compliments on the cake. I am looking forward to the next party and the next cake from Patty's! -

I don't understand why Patty's Cakes isn't as known as Sprinkles Cupcakes...I mean her cupcakes are better than those main stream shops! Especially her cakeballs!!!!
But that's not why I'm here. I came to Patty's cake cause I needed a wedding cake!!! And I got the most amazing wedding cake EVER - I mean seriously - there were no leftovers at the wedding! NOTHING! I'm so glad the top tier was saved for us...I even had a few bites of it when I got home before freezing it for our anniversary. *blush*
Her cake tasted homemade and that is what we were looking for. And it was moist!!!! But the best part was that her service was amazing! I remember coming to their shop stressed and just feeling down and defeated from wedding planning activities but somehow I always left her bakery feeling positive and excited for the wedding!
I posted a picture of our cake - check it out!!! -

I love Patty's Cakes! I ordered a chocolate mint chip cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. It was decorated with Hello Kitty. It was absolutely beautiful. I can tell you that eating a cake ball from Patty's cakes is like a little piece of heaven! I'm so excited to return to get cupcakes and cake balls for my New Year's Eve party tonight.

W.O.W. My husband and I became cupcake connoisseur's when we first became engaged and got to try out the perks of cupcake tastings (we had cupcakes at our wedding...not cake!). Patty's cupcakes are a blend of our favorite things in a cupcake (the middle filling, light/fluffy on lemons/vanillas, and super rich on the red velvets/chocolates) WITH the addition of a super light frosting. I'm always semi-gagging for some milk or water to cut the frosting, but I didn't need a sip with Patty's! I can't wait to try out their other flavors....nom, nom, nom.
I definitely may have found our local fav bakery. -

Here's how you do it at Patty's Cakes...
You go in, check-in using your yelp app, get excited b/c by checking in you get a free cupcake when you buy 3, wait for your turn, order the cupcakes (you get to pick the cake and the whipped topping), wait for them to make them (they cakes are pre-made, they just add the whipped topping while you wait), pay for the cupcakes, walk casually to your car, furiously shovel 2 cupcakes (the cakes are moist, light and fluffy, the topping, like the cake, is light, fluffy, generous and in short GENIUS) into your mouth.
After brushing the crumbs off your face and clothes, you go back in and order 2 more (to replace the 2 that "mysteriously" (that's right, MYSTERIOUSLY) disappeared) so that no one will be suspicious to why there are only 2 when there should be 4...
I can't recommend enough the vanilla cupcake (or chocolate cake) with the Chambord topping... OMG... Cupcake heaven! The apple pie, the Elvis, the peanut butter topping, the chocolate topping... Dammit, everything is AMAZING!!! I want 2 cupcakes now... I mean, one... I want one cupcake now ;)
I love that this is a mom 'n pop shop :) I love that their cupcakes blow me away EVERY time. The only thing that bums me out is the hours of operations. I work during their open hours and on my days off, I live 20 miles away :( Maybe they'll have later hours in the near future :) Here's to wishful thinking!
I can't recommend this place enough. I love their cupcakes. If you go, can you pick me up a couple of them? Please?
Happy Eating!!! -

Just celebrated my wedding this past weekend and Patty's Cakes made us the most AMAZING, FANTASTIC, & GORGEOUS cake for our wedding ever. The cake was better than I imagined it would be. The details were just right and we received so many compliments on our cake. We got a 4 tier cake. The first tier was chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse, the second was red velvet cake with cream cheese mousse, the third tier was coconut cake with bavarian custard, and the fourth tier (which was for us to take home) was the same as the first tier. Everyone loved the flavors, but I especially heard a lot of good fuss over coconut/bavarian. One of my friends stated that it tasted like delicious cake batter.
Go Patty's Cakes!!! I'm actually craving for some cake balls and Elvis cupcakes right this second!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Patty's Cakes is simply amazing. With such a cute place, friendly people who always seem to have a smile on their faces, and stellar cupcake creations that will transport you to a better place...what more could I want?
I've been here twice and have loved every cupcake I've tried. My favorite has to be the Elvis. I could probably eat a dozen of those. :) I also loved the Chocolate with Raspberry Chambord Mousse and the Butter Pecan. The cakes are moist, the frosting and fillings are fresh and delicious, and the decorations are adorable.
I've been on the hunt for a cupcake place for awhile, and all I can say is thank goodness for Yelp! I would've never found this place without those phenomenal reviews. I'll definitely keep coming back anytime I have a craving for something sweet--which is definitely quite often. :) -

I was in need of some cupcakes for a friends birthday. Saw a shout-out to them on facebook by insider fullerton I believe. And I drive by it about everyday on my way to work. Decided to go in and check it out. They were going to be featured on the news the following day, so I figured it had to be good.
I checked in while I was there and received a free cupcake after buying 3. Unfortunately I did not get to try them as they were a gift. But my friend said they were amazing so I will most definitely go back and try for myself. I bought 4 red velvet, 2 with the chocolate chip cream cheese frosting and two with the regular cream cheese frosting.
When I go back I definitely want to try one of their lemon items (cake ball, or cupcake) and I believe it was called Elvis something.
I will be back =] -

With all these gushing reviews, I expected something absolutely.. amazing. When I walked in the doors, I was greeted with a back to school decor and a friendly guy behind the counter. Because he was busy, another woman came out to take my order, which was fine with me.
I really liked how we got to write our cupcake order, and that there were descriptions on the paper. Props to the frosting put on the cupcake fresh every time an order comes in!
I ordered four cupcakes- the butter pecan, elvis, chocolate with raspberry chambord mousse, and lemon. The butter pecan was my favorite, especially with all the apple filling. However, the other cupcakes.. ehhh.. not so much. The cake part itself was very dense, and the frosting on the lemon was a bit tooo much. The lemon was terrible, I did not like the denseness of the cake and the amount and type of frosting that was on the cupcake. The elvis was very unique, and I found it interesting to try. I did notice the pretty decorations and the time it took to assemble the cupcake.
As for the cakeballs- I ordered the red velvet, s'mores, and chocolate chip. The red velvet was wayyyy to sweet, and the white chocolate was on overload. Trying the other cakeballs, I noticed that all of the cake/batter was verrry dense and very sweet. The s'mores had an overpowering taste of chocolate, and I did not bother to try the chocolate chip.
This could just be personal preference, but with a sweet tooth like mine, even I found the cakeballs and cupcakes too sweet. Even with a coupon for a free cupcake, I will not return. The high expectation for this store I had due to the number of stars was not met, which was really disappointing. -

All the cupcakes look lovely and are iced to your order. I love the funky chocolately, peanut buttery combos (at the bottom of the menu form); they make me feel adventurous and quite special :)
Yelpers, take advantage of the check-in offer! That's how I got a german chocolate cake ball to my delight!
I'm so glad Patty took my order my first time there; she is so sweet (sweeter than the cupcakes which is a good thing since I don't like my sweets too sweet, ironic, no?) and she really made me feel like a star haha. Usually I feel a little guilty binging on the unnecessaries of life, but coming here at least once a month may be mandatory. -

I stumbled upon this adorable little shop on accident, and I'm so glad that I did! From the very welcoming and comfortable set up of the shop to the wonderful customer service, not to mention the absolutely DELICIOUS cupcakes (the white cupcake with peanut butter mousse is a total must try!) it was one of the best food experiences I've ever had. Patty was so comfortable and incredibly sweet and very patient while I stood staring forever at the tempting menu. I cannot wait to go back and eventually try everything on the menu. 3.25 stars.
Upon entering the shop, you'll notice that they only have cakeballs on display.
If you want cupcakes you'll get a menu with the general description of the cupcake, and you just write how many of each cupcake you want. The cupcakes are then freshly frosted. I have two thoughts pertaining to this: 1) I do like the idea that the cupcake is freshly frosted, since air can dry out frosting and give it an unappealing skin. 2) Despite how nice it is to have cupcakes freshly frosted, I'd rather there be some on display. I felt like I was blindly ordering cupcakes, and what I received didn't exactly matchup what I was picturing in my mind.
Both cupcakes and cakeballs are $3 each. The cupcakes are bigger, of course, but the cakeballs are larger than average, probably slightly bigger than a golf ball. The yelp deal makes the cupcakes a much better value, and also makes it someone decently priced.
I got the lemon with lemon curd cupcake and the white cake with chocolate chambord mousse. Let's start off with the one I liked - the white cake with chocolate chambord was a perfectly light, moist white cake, almost like an angel cake but not quite. It was filled with cream, although I couldn't tell you much about it, because I couldn't discern the taste of the cream from the rest of the cupcake. The chambord (raspberry flavor) was non-existent, but there was a nice raspberry on top to decorate. Now, I was expecting a milk chocolate frosting, but the frosting was white with white chocolate shavings. Aside from the shavings, I couldn't even taste the chocolate in the frosting. Despite all these criticisms, I actually liked this cupcake enough.
I absolutely disliked the lemon cupcake. Now, I always feel like lemon cake is a matter of personal preference. I happen to generally like lemon cake. This, cupcake, I didn't like. First, the cupcake was dry, not super moist like the white cake cupcake above. I also was not expecting the actual cupcake to be topped with "lemon curd." I've had really great lemon curds, and this was not lemon curd to me. It clear yellow lemon pie filling/glaze. It was also topped with a sour lemon candy, which I also greatly disliked. Who wants to bite down into a cupcake with a hard candy on top? You basically have to remove the candy before you eat the cupcake.
Is this one of the better cupcakes I've had at a bakery in OC? Yeah, probably. Is this one of the better cupcakes I've had of all the bakery's I've been to? Not by a long shot.
I think this place is good if you're suck in OC. I personally wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I think this is one of the places that I would tell people to visit themselves to formulate their own opinion. -

Okay I am now reviewing for the White w/ Coconut cupcake. It was good and moist. Love the coconut toppings, that add to it. But it wasn't as great as the red velvet that leaves a taste in your mouth that makes you want to go back for more. But i'd recommend to try if you are a white cake type of person.
