It's a refreshing change for me since i've never been to a kosher restaurant.  Went during lunch time with 2 jewish lawyers.  It's nice because they ordered the right stuff for me and the conversation was sharp and witty, albeit a little dry.  But what do you expect? Not all jewish lawyers can tell a joke like adam sandlers.  :B

The meals are well prepared and delicious.  The wait time is about 15~20 minutes longer compared with a regular restaurant.  Not sure if it's got something to do with the way the chef handle/ prepare the food?

Since we were there mainly for business nobody seem to mind the wait.  I like the bread and the olive they serve.  There's this dark-brown sauce that they brought out along with the olive oil.  You eat it with the bread so i guess it's probably some type of dip.  But it's really yummy and made the hard and cold bread tasted pretty good.

On to the main course.  I ordered fish (don't remember the type).  It tasted pretty fresh and the portion is generous.  The service is pretty decent and the waiter knowledgeable about their menu items.

It's my first time in a kosher restaurant, so i really have no idea what to expect. Overall I'd say the food and the service feels a lot like what you would find in a decent italian restaurant.

Parking is valet or on the streets via meters if you can find one.

If you have to treat a jewish friend/ customer who just came into town, this place is probably your best bet.

Otherwise, I'm sure there's better italian places in the westwood area that are probably cheaper with a bit faster service.

I love going to Pat's. They catered my wedding June 29, 2009 and every single person complemented the food and said they had never had such good wedding food. My husband and I always choose to go there when someone wants to take us to dinner (its a bit pricey for us to go on our own but that's because its not exactly the place young 20 somethings go to for a dinner on their own). They are so generous with their portions, everything I have ever had has been spot on and the desserts are so decadent and delicious - I can't remember what its called but its a chocolate volcano of sorts and I dream about it sometimes.)

I have to say that the best part of having Pat cater my wedding was not the food, it was the catering coordinator. Bunny is by far the most hilarious, down to earth, no holds-bars, Jewish Mama you have ever met in your life. She eased every nerve I had, she eased the tension between me and my mother when we had disagreements over party planning and she did it with such flare, I really admire her. She is the best thing to happen to Pat's. (She should also have her own talk show, but that's my humble opinion.)

Pretty good for a Kosher restaurant. But make sure you make reservations! It was pretty crowded on a Monday night when we went there. I like the Ribeye steak and the Lamb was awesome.

Went in a group to take out some visitors from Israel who keep kosher.  This the decor and ambiance is nice and other than the valet, the service is good (basically they just have one valet who has to run back and forth and if you happen to pull up at the exact wrong time, you may think there is actually no valet).

The food here is pricey, but the quality to me seems just average.  We happened to go on sushi night, which the waiter seemed very excited about because they brought in a sushi chef, so what the heck ordered some sushi -- big mistake -- I have had better take-out sushi.  The fish was not very fresh and the rice was hard like sushi you get from the grocery store.  The steaks here are good quality, however, they do seem to overcook them.

As for dessert, the waiter raved over the chocolate souffle which had to be pre-ordered.  After being somewhat disappointed over the meal, I thought at least I have that to look forward to.  Unfortunately, it was just an average dessert and no where near the quality of a souffle at say Roy's or Arroyo Chop house.

Overall it is a nice restaurant and seems somewhat more hip, with more variety than Shilo's, so if you have guests who keep Kosher this would not be a bad place to go.  If you are looking more for a Kosher steakhouse, then I would recommend Shilo's over Pat's

We keep kosher, and that means our choice of restaurants is limited to kosher establishments. Unfortunately, this usually means mediocre food because there is not much competition for the business. We live in Orange County and since there are no kosher restaurants here, we come to LA once a week or so.

We used to go to Pat's and generally thought some of the dishes were decent, though overpriced, but we liked the atmosphere and...where else was there to go? Prime Grill was good but it closed. Then...Delice Bistro opened! We had been going there regularly since it opened and decided to go back to Pat's for a change...

Well, that was a mistake. My husband ordered the "special" - a halibut stir-fry. At $25 a plate, would you expect something a little better than some white rice, limp vegetables, and a few chunks of dry halibut with an unimpressive soy-cornstarch sauce? I'm sure the kosher fast-food take-out restaurant next door which I've never been to would have done a much better job of it.

Not wanting to go through the hassle of sending an entree back, we told the waiter everything was "ok" when he asked. I wasn't in the mood for fish or meat, so I ordered a primavera salad and a bowl of white bean soup. The soup was a SMALL bowl and nothing special. The salad, which, according to the menu and past experience, is supposed to have strawberries in it...didn't.

Then my husband ordered desert. The "freshly-made" dessert tray was brought over and my husband chose a slice of peach pie. Now, yes, we know, peaches are not currently in season. This, however, tasted exactly like the nasty Del Monte canned peaches of my childhood. Really, really awful. I thought we should send it back. My husband doesn't like to make a fuss and if it is sweet, he will eat it, although even he agreed it wasn't good.

A woman came by our table and asked how things were. I said ok. Then I asked if she was the owner. She beamed proudly and said "yes". I told her we had been to her restaurant many times and I was surprised to find a dessert with canned peaches in it. I said that other desserts we had had before were much better.

Now, would you think someone who takes pride in her establishment would be gracious and offer to take the dessert back? After all, I could have demanded that but didn't. Or would you imagine she would put on her best haughty demeanor and argue with the customer?! Well, guess which one she did! She did admit it is a "frozen product" and claimed it is "excellent". Apparently, in her book the customer is always wrong!

She must be busy only due to the lack of competition (I hope Delice is making up for that!) and therefore deemed one couple not important to her business and this frees her up to be haughty if someone isn't 100% delighted with Del Monte on a "fresh" dessert tray.

Had the owner been gracious and brought us a different desert, we might have chalked it up to not ordering the best choices on the menu, but the owner's 'tude tipped the scales. Needless to say, we will not be back and neither will all of our friends in the OC, or anyone else whom we can warn away.

And by the way, the tab for one salad, one small bowl of unremarkable soup, one limp stir fry with a few chunks of dry halibut, one cheap Stash brand tea bag and one coffee: almost $70 with the tip!!! We didn't even have wine this time, and only one entree! So...be forewarned...and go to Delice:)

I went here with my boyfriend and some family visiting from Paris.  I'm the only one who keeps kosher in the bunch, but my family has had many a kosher meal.  Anyways, I had heard good things about Pat's and recommended us going there for an early-ish dinner.

So, we order drinks, the bread comes, then we order food.  We were the first ones in the restaurant for dinner service, and the first to order.  We were told that mashed potatoes & the veggies of the day came with the meal, okay, cool.  My relatives got the roasted cornish hen, chicken melanese, and spaghetti bolognese.  My bf got the citrus chicken.  I got the rib eye (medium rare).

After a while of waiting in a pretty empty restaurant, the waiter informed us that our food would be out in a minute.  Then the food comes... with roasted potatoes.  Apparently mashed potatoes weren't being served and the waiter failed to inform us of this.  Kind of a problem since not all of us like roasted potatoes.  The waiter made amends by bringing out a plate of fries to replace it with.  Probably the best part of the dinner service.  The fries were alright; the veggies were lacking.

On to the real food... apparently the rosti chicken/cornish hen was wonderful, juicy, etc.  My ribeye was a bit overcooked (medium) but tasty nonetheless.  The server brought out two sauces for it - the Texas and mushroom sauces.  Mushroom = great, texas = too sweet.  My meat was a bit on the fatty side too.  But overall I was happy with it.  My boyfriend's chicken, on the other hand, was apparently dry and missing citrus (and yes, this was the citrus chicken).  He doesn't seem to have the best of luck at kosher restaurants.

So, three stars.  Pros: good steak, good roasted cornish hen.  Cons: awkward service, bad citrus chicken, kind of pricey (even for kosher).  Maybe I'll go back, but right now I prefer Shiloh's.

I'd rather eat out of garbage can than eat at this place.

I involuntarily have to go to Pat's about once a year for my company's holiday party or a business lunch.  Each time I go I try something new in hopes that there's something edible on the menu.  This game of trial and error has been going on for about 7 years and lemme tell ya - IT ALL SUCKS DONKEY BALLS.  Well, that is if you like dried out steak, flavorless chicken and home ec pastries.   And yes, it's possible to f* up a garden salad apparently!

Stick with the wine and bread.  Trust me on this.

This is what a Kosher Steakhouse is all about.

Good cuts of meat, great service, and a large selection of wine. Huge portions with well done sides.

Great if you have a business meeting with someone who keeps kosher.

They also cater at the Sephardic temple.

Truly the best steak I've ever had - and the fact that its 100% you can't miss.  Try the Bread Pudding - amazing!  I love everything there except maybe some of the chicken dishes.

I know it's supposed to be the best kosher restaurant in town, but... am still unimpressed.

Was coerced into going for a going away party of a coworker, so I show up and have to wait 20 minutes to get a fricken ginger ale. Seriously, the rest of the party of 15 are already on their second round of beers and I haven't gotten my ginger ale. When we're placing our orders, they tell us that they have chocolate souffles and bread pudding for dessert, but they need to be preordered. OK, count me in for a souffle. After 45 minutes, we finally place orders. A few people straggle in late. A half hour later, they start serving food. A half hour after that, my ginger ale is gone, I can't get a refill after asking three times, and me and two others still do not have our food. What happened was the people who came in late ordered the same dishes we had. Instead of serving the first ordered food to the first orderers, they served the first wave of food to the people who had just showed up. What kind of shite is that?!? So, basically, the other dozen folks are done eating and I finally get my drink refilled and my food served. I so beyond pissed at this point, cause I had morning sickness, which started to act up from not eating. Of course, once we're done eating, the server comes back to inform us that they don't have the bread pudding that she was raving about at the top of the lunch. Or, the chocolate souffles, for that matter.

What is that?!?  Who does that?  Just rave about your made-to-order dessert, then tell everyone who ordered... ummmm... oops.  I was so done.  I'd been to Pat's probably half a dozen times in the past few years for work lunches.  That was the last time I will go there.

Wow Joy P. is way harsh and somewhat clueless. After reading her review I was quite skeptical. But I went there and I had the miso salmon which was really good, albeit pricey. The waiters were knowledgable, fast, friendly and clean and the rest of the staff were very accomdating. It is kosher and filled with Jews which was kind of nice, even though I am only culturally Jewish and my barmitzvah was traumatizing. I took my grandfather here and he had the maple whatever salmon and that looked delish kenish. So its not bad at all, in fact I give it four stars- minus one because it was crowded...
