best bbq chicken pizza EVER. and i think i've tried them all.
pizzas are huge and 10$ and up (per topping) ...not too bad.
cool picture on the pizza boxes too (not as important but nice nonetheless). -

I got a potato Salad, a steak bomb and an order of fries. The food made me really nauseous that i gave 3/4ths of everything to my sister. The fries were really deep fried, the potato salad had too much mayo, and the steak bomb was way too soggy.

Went to Pats on a recommendation. I tried it twice. First was the pizza. I was not impressed...giant slices of grease, crust hat you needed a saw to get through, and pepperoni that tasted a bit odd.
Second, and the reason this place gets four stars, is the Italian mix sub! Wow!! Other than this, I say 2.5 stars for Pats. -
Review from Steve B.
You really can't beat Pats for certain things. The buffalo chicken calzone is amazing cheesy goodness, the steak tips are tender and flavorful, and the pasta dishes are delicious and are served in generous portions (try the chicken carbonara). The pizza is pretty good and has improved alot over the last year or so, but there are better pies in the area (Currach in Adams Village).
Their catering service is great and is always a hit at a party.
Pats service is friendly and quick, and they donate to tons of neighborhood programs like youth sports, etc. so you can feel good about the type of business you're supporting.Listed in: Awesome 'za brah...

The best calzones. I've never tried anything else there, and probably never will. Veggie calzone is delightful, my family really enjoys the buffalo chicken calzone. We, among many other families in our area, will travel quite a bit just for these calzones.

Wow. Yummy meat ball sub! Larges are huge!! Hot temp! Plenty of sauce. In a nicer area of Dorchester! Inside plain, but clean. Not at all dumpy or dive-y! Ok prices, paid 6.50 for my sub. Next time I will try pizza.

Ok, the Chicken Fra Diavolo here is awesome. The serving is huge and it has a good amount of kick to it.
They also carry diet root beer and diet cream soda - sweet!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Great place! My boyfriend just moved to dorchester and we wanted a good pizza place. His roommate told us about pat's and we were hooked! The calzones are awesome! Be aware that the large's are HUGE! They can feed at least 3-4 people huge! Can wait to try other things there!

You can get slices of pizza for $2.00 a slice. They're pretty big, but you can only choose either cheese or pepperoni.

the slices are always quick and delish.... I'm not really a fan of their buffalo chicken, i must say it's very generic no where near windy city, but I digress! I have never had them deliver (i believe they charge) but I have picked up catering and the thanksgiving calzone is by far the best I have ever had!

We have been addicted to Pat's since we moved to the area 7 years ago. LOVE the pizza! Especially some of the different combinations they have on the menu. We have recently become addicted to the wing dings (deep fried chicken wings) and if you have a craving for some fried chicken they definitely do the trick. And our current favorite pizza addictions are the chicken-brocolli alfredo and a double meatball. We also order a pizza they no longer have on the menu called the Brazilian. It has all kinds of meats on it like bacon, ham, etc, and it is yummy. And the spicy chicken pizza is great too. And of course it is always fun to make up your own combos.
We have ordered Pat's pizza for many friends and they always remark on how good it is! Good sauce and great crust! The calzones are also yummy and enormous. They have some "real food" like steak tips and we haven't been disappointed in those either. The prices are reasonable too. We have only done take out--we always pick it up ourselves but they do offer delivery. -

3 Cheers for Pat's Pizza in Dorchester
One cheer for the prices
two cheers for the great food
three cheers for the fries
It'd get more, but after eating so much friend stuff, I'm afraid to get my blood pressure up to high.
Pats is a great sandwich/pizza place. Their portions (as far as sandwiches go) are more than you would expect. Pair it with a small order of fries, which are just about perfect, and you have enough for two regular people... not that i shared. Orders come up fast, and the food tastes great. -
Review from Emily D.
When I used to live in Dorchester there were a few different places I would get pizza from. This wasn't one of them...BUTTTTT I would order one of their subs or wraps and pasta dishes. I don't usually like to order pasta dishes from pizza joints but this place makes an awesome fettucini alfredo. Loveeddd it!
My hubby lovessss their chickens wings and cheeseburger subs.
So although I'm not a fan of their pizza.. everything else is pretty good on the menu!
And they cater for parties.. that's always cool when you don't feel like cooking! -

Alright, so i'm upping my rating for Pat's, now that I've tasted something other than my bland turkey wrap.
For the company holiday party, we decided it'd be quick and easy to get something from Pat's. We decided on a couple pasta trays as well as a couple salads and called it a day.
And now? I'm happy to report that their pasta is awesome - hopefully the thing with my wrap was just a fluke!1 Previous Review: Show all »

If there was a star less then that i would have giving them that. The pizza is not every good. But that is not the main reason I dislike them. I really dislike them because there delivery guys don't know how to read addresses. IF YOU WANT GOOD PIZZA WITH GOOD INGREDIENTS GO TO PICCO IN SOUTH END ON TREMONT ST. Dont waste your time or money with this place.

PAT'S. YES.
Excellent pizza. We made our own with ricotta and sausage. YES.
The sausage was delighfully rosemary-heavy and they were not at all stingy with the ricotta.
I've only been here once but will definitely go again. I would like to try everything on the menu, including the meatball sub (good thing I'm not a vegetarian, eh?). -

In an area where delivery choices are severely limited (wth Dorchester Center), Pat's is a sigh of relief. Not only will they deliver to me- ! - but my food comes fresh-out-of-the-oven hot and MAN is it good. I stick to what I know so I almost always get the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo pizza, which blows any expensive Italian restaurant version I have ever had out of the water. The calzones are HUGE (a small could feed 3) and cheap for the amount of food you get. I've gotten a sub once or twice and have no complaints. They also offer a variety of pasta plates but I can't speak for them as I've never indulged. The people are friendly and efficient and my order always arrives in the window of time they provide. My only complaint is that once or twice I have been creeped out by the delivery guy. But if you laugh in the face of creep danger, this is the place for you!
I have to add they will even deliver cheese and pepperoni slices which is a much appreciated first (I am so grateful- God FORBID my toddler just eat what I eat). -

They get 4 stars because they are 1 of very few good pizza places in Boston. I don't think I'd order anything else on the menu, unless their lunch special is chicken parm, however the pizza is great. They can get a bit flustered when they're busy, but overall they do a good job.

Dorchester, MA
As far as delivery in Dorcester goes, this place is tops. The Pizza's are good, but the real deal is their meatball calzone. A small will stuff two people (approx. $15) and the large is good for 3-4 (approx. $20). Their delivery guys are fine and you can understand the people on their phones. They're a neighborhood institution and it doesn't get any better.

Really good pizza! The sauce is awesome and I'm really picky about that. I've gotten subs a few times and I would say they are above average. The service is always very good. I would also definitely recommend their catering. We always get deli platters from here for parties and their pasta trays are also really good. Parking can be a pain but they deliver!

I've been to Pat's many many times, its not until you move away and try other pizzas that you realize what a gem you had all along. No other pizza place that I've been to tops Pat's. I recently moved so pizza was the food I served all my helpers. They loved it, they had never had it and some told me they where coming to visit me just so we could go grab a pizza from Pat's. They are very generous with their toppings, the sauce is excellent and the crust is perfect. They are courteous and friendly and every one eating there is a happy customer.

The pizza here is amazing. Big slices, great sauce and perfect crust. I would call it NY style pizza. Be warned that the wait can be long due to it's popularity in the neighborhood.

I have been ordering from Pat's for years now. It is reasonably prized, delicious and up the street from me. My favorie from them is the chicken salad sub with celery. Mouth watering. This place is highly recommended.

There is a reason my wife and I call this place "Pat's" not "Pat's Pizza" - the pizza isn't even close to the best thing on the menu - as a matter of fact, the pizza's not that good.
BUT, the rest of the menu? Awesome. I recommend this place without reservation. -
Review from Kim P.
I like Pat's Pizza a lot; saucy and good crust. The salads are decent, though all are made with iceberg lettuce, but if you add a side of grilled chicken, they give you a LOT! My fave: steak bomb, with everything, but no bun. Take-out is fantastic and quick. Don't be alarmed by the number of Boston PD in the place, either. But, it's not open on Sunday, the biggest reason I'm withholding the 5th star--this place would be AMAZING for a hangover on a Sunday. But, alas, I'll work with what I'm given.

After picking up an order for my cousin, I decided to try Pat's for Super Bowl Sunday. The shrimp scampi and margherita pizzas were a hit-great flavor and just gourmet enough to not make it look like I was cheaping out.

When you are in the mood for amazingly tasty-but-so-bad-for-me-but-i-don't-care-i'm-order ing-five-more-slices pizza, then definitely go to Pat's.
I love their slices, the portions are always huge and it's always the same gotta love need to have it greasy pizza, which is what you are really hoping for when you order pizza, admit it.
The fries are out of this world. I've spent so much money there on just pizza and fries. Stick with the cheese pizza, it's bomb. -

Pat's has great pizza, calzones, pasta, and dinner plates. Their catering is great for parties and I have used them on several occasions.
BUT I have two big complaints about Pat's - the salads and the chicken. Their salads are blah - pre-made and very basic, no fun salads on the menu at all. As for the chicken, I could eat grilled chicken three meals a day and be happy...unless it was from here. The quality of their chicken is the worst, its always flat, dry, and tasteless. I almost gave 3 stars based on the salads and chicken, but the rest of the menu put them up to four stars. -

Great prices and huge portions. Food is always fresh. Pizza is one of the better pies around (have yet to find a truly great pizza in the area). The dinners and calzones are by far the best I have had from a take-out place.
