Our favorite Tahoe thrift store!  The whole rack of T-shirts are a buck each!  I have found a lot of great stuff here, including a lot of cool Tahoe gear donated by locals ("staff T-shirts" from the Tahoe Shakespeare festival, for example).  Lots of outdoor gear, household items, books, toys.   Run by an eclectic band of gentle deadheads, along with at least one NASCAR fan who apparently hates Jeff Gordon...

(It is next door to Jiffy's Pizza , across from Swigard's Hardware, in the heart of Tahoe City.  Look for bare bones sandwich boards which say "Thrift Store Open" near the entrance to the parking lot)

Stopped in today and had a lot of fun wandering around.  Its not that big but the 2 rooms are packed with fun stuff that's all affordable.   A few examples:  each hard cover book was $2.  I got a vintage Queen Tshirt for $1.  There was a very pretty lamp that I liked but didn't buy for $11.50.  Also a nice banana republic sweater turtlenect for $6.  Everything looked like it was in good shape and wearable.  ALSO - NO MUSTY SMELL!!  There are tons of books. some cool artwork, a lot of outdoor gear and tons of great sweaters.  Will swing by next time I'm here just to see if there are any treasures or must haves.

Got myself some secondhand ski pants and a jacket here. Decent quality, wide selection and very low prices. My Patagonia jacket was just $15! Bargain!
