Amazing homemade breadsticks, really good pizza, decent pasta dishes. The dinner salads are really lame for an italian place, or any place really. But seriously, I would come just for the breadsticks. So, so good. Get the melted butter full of garlic and other spices for dipping, you will crave them for eternity! Mmmmm......
The seating is very cramped and they don't always take reservations (there seems to be no firm policy on this, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't). There is a large back area that is better if you are more than 4 people, if you are lucky enough that it is available. Parking is also ver limited. -

Come for the pizza, stay for the calzone.
I like the pizza here, but even though the components are basically identical (crust, sauce, cheese, meat, veg), I like their calzones better. I think that the crust is better this way. They have the standard toppings (good quality, but no super-special ingredients), and you can basically customize it to what you want.
Is it the best or most creative pizza joint around? Probably not. But they make a good, classic New York style pizza at a fair price. Don't expect the best pizza in the world, but expect a couple of notches above a chain pizza place.
I usually order to go, but if you stay, try some of the house chianti with your pizza order. It's cheap and complements the food nicely. -

Went here for a special meal. Yeah, not so much. Now, I went there last year and it was really good. However, my b/f lasagna was so hot, he couldn't eat it. (hot temp. not spicy). Wanted the chicken Marsala. Waitress tells me they don't offer it anymore. WTH? Why is it on the friggin menu? So, I ordered chicken Parmesan. Not bad. My man ordered cannoli and the pasta was under cooked. He also said sauce was flavorless. Salads were just iceberg lettuce and dressing. BORING! I won't go back.

I dig the food. Great lasagna, calzones and pizza. The bread sticks are HUGE and could almost be a meal by themselves! The girls are always friendly--if it's busy just give 'em a smile and they'll smile back. Definitely a fave local spot!

Yummy pizza and great service! We ordered a medium thick crust with meat toppings that filled us up and gave us two days' worth of delicious leftovers. The salad my husband ordered was large enough to share. They serve pasta, too. The place has a warm, friendly feeling and smells fantastic!

Homemade sausage. Review done.
Kidding.
Although the homemade sausage is one of the main reasons we keep coming back. An unbelievable feat considering my husband normally hates sausage. On with the review....
Having eaten my way through the whole menu, I have settled on the fettuccine as my favorite. Something we don't eat at home, and although a killer in fat and calorie department, too damn good to eat. And, there is enough to make two meals out of it.
My husband loves their pizza. He always gets it with sausage which I steal while eating the fettuccine. It's a win win.
The manicotti and raviolis are also good. Their sauce is unbelievable. The service fast and friendly. Prices good and has that Italian feel to it, low lighting. Clean and comfortable seating.
The only low point is the salad. It's horrible. I am a salad snob and eschew iceberg and cheese. Avoid the salad.Listed in: Top Restaurants

Fair Oaks, CA
Had a really bad experience when we went here with a group of 8 last week. We got seated right away...everything was fine and dandy until......... our waitress Jamie showed up to the table! Automatically I got this unwelcoming attitude, rude vibe coming from her. One of us asked a question about the menu and Jamie snapped back "Shrimp ravioli. That's all that we have with shrimp. THAT'S IT!" Whoaaa calm down!!
After taking our orders, she came back to the table and handed me the basket of breadsticks while my son had his hand on the table and Jamie yelled out "HEY BUDDY! FOOD'S COMING THIS WAY!" People standing a mile away would've probably heard her loud mouth! Was that reallly necessary to yell at the top of her lungs to my 3 years old toddler????? I don't think so! Even he picked up on her attitude, so he yelled back!
One of the few things that was good was the breadsticks and they are bigger than the norm. I thought they would be Olive Garden's breadsticks size but noo they were huge and yummy! We also ordered the baked Ravioli with sausage, it was not the best but average. We got side salads which were frozen cold and disgusting!
We were waiting for the waitress to come back to the table to refill drinks and I needed another fork but she was nowhere to be found! I got up to look for her and saw her in the other room setting up tables and completely ignored me. EXCUSE ME! Excuse me! (X 10) and finally was able to flag down another waitress to get me a fork. There was 3 waitresses, our party of 8 and only just one other couple in the restaurant so I would think they would have plenty of time to come check on us but no! Not at all.
Pretty much saw her when she took our order, came back with the breadsticks/ foods and lastly when we paid. No in between 'check ins' refills or "how was your food" dealies whatsoever!!!
We finally got the check what seems like hours later and my friend asked for a refill and we never got it then decided to get the heck out of there! We paid partial cash and partial on credit card. She sees us from afar by the door waiting, waves her hands at us and YELLS OUT "SO DO YOU WANT ME TO PAY THE REST ON THE CREDIT CARD????" Noooo really? I just gave you the credit card for you to look at!
I'd HATE to say I would never ever ever ever ever come back here but the waitress Jamie ruined it for us!! I have never in my life experienced this bad of service before! Bad Mistake...huge!! -

I've known about this place for quite some time now. I've been here 6 times and I can truly say that they have great food. I would have given them 4 stars if not for the service.
Don't come here if you're in a hurry. It takes them a while just to get your order. It takes forever to get a refill. And the last time we were there, we didn't even get plates until we asked. Our food was there but no plates or napkins.
As for the food, you can expect to get the freshest pizza. I love the thin crust. It's baked crisp. We always get half and half for our pizza so we can get two types. Usually the Pasquale's superb and the gembroni pesto one. (not sure of the spelling here) All the pizzas have a good amount of flavor and they don't skimp on the toppings. The pesto one is to die for!
The Italian sausage is the bomb! It's the best in Sac! It has a great flavor that lingers in your mouth. You can definitely taste the spices.
The pasta.. I've had their baked ravioli and all I can say is wow!!! It's the best marinara around. Same goes for the lasagna. I always order their pastas with the Italian sausage. You can't go wrong.
We also tried the garlic shrimp ravioli. It was ok. Not great by any means. I wouldn't order it again.
Overall, they have good food. I just wish they'd have better service. I'd probably go more often if that's the case. -

I have been here twice and i have enjoyed both times equally. The baked raviollis are really good. The house chianti is delish but the best thing about this restaurant is the cheese; its hella good. The service is perfect. They are attentive but not annoying. I wanna go back and try a pizza. I have seen several tables order them.

Prices are great and I really like the pizza but this is the third time I have been to this little spot right near my home and have been flat out ignored by the waitstaff for 20-30 minutes before getting up and leaving in disgust. They are very busy most nights and cater well to children and take-out needs, but their service has been absolutely wretched 3 of the 4 times I've ever bothered to make it there. I would really enjoy supporting a local business like this, and would happily make it a favorite spot if they made even a half hearted attempt at serving me food! So disappointed :(
Update:
The manager gave me a call back this afternoon and I appreciated his candor and attention. I'll give this place one more chance just because it's so darn close and I really do enjoy the pizza. I'm so hoping they don't let me down again.
They comped my a pizza and the manager was very polite and responsive which I so appreciate. I like their thin crust pizzas, and the place is very popular, so it can't be too bad, I would just leave this as a warning to not go in if you are in a hurry or mind inconsistent service. I think they really do mean well :) -

Took the whole family to Pasquale's for the first time last night. The breadsticks are unreal! A basket of six is like six baguettes in size, so order sparingly. The spinach ravioli's were recommended to me, and they were pretty damn good. I probably would have appreciated them more had I not filled up on breadsticks and beer while waiting. The garlic bread was also delicious, and the kids loved the pizza. They have a juke box with a pretty good music selection which made for a fun atmosphere. Also, classic video games--Ms Pac MAn, Centipede and Dig Dug. 2 out of 3 robbed our quarters and didn't work at all, and our server didn't offer to do anything about it when informed. Oh well. Cozy little restaurant with "all home made pasta" according to our server. Everyone enjoyed and we had plenty left over for not a lot of money. We'll probably go back.

Italian food does not equal decor and tomato sauce. Do not bring a date you like. Ladies use the bathroom before you leave the house. My girl who is not prissy or picky told me "The toilet has a brown almost gray ring around it that had chunks of waste clinging to the ring. It looked like it had not been cleaned in 3 weeks-- or a month."
This is the only place I have ever left a zero tip. The service was on par with someone who knew that the manager didn't work on Sunday, and that all they had to do to not be fired was show up.
They get 2 stars because the food was edible. The chicken tasted rubbery, like it had been microwaved. The lasagna which was said to be "voted best in Sacramento" was flavorless. They seemed scared to use seasoning. I mean fundamentally it was lasagna, but a frozen lasagna from Safeway would have been better. My girlfriend ordered Chicken Marsala with rigatoni, but she received penne. When her microwaved chicken and pasta showed up, she identified the pasta as being the wrong variety.
The servers brought out my meal about 7 minutes before they brought out my girlfriends. I don't know who trained these servers, but in what world is it OK to eat before your date's food arrives? We also had to ask for refills on our drinks. There were only 4 tables of patrons and about 3 servers working, yet the service was still sparse at best. We both had about two bites of our meals, and decided to not fill up on the flavorless food. The server never asked us if our food was OK, they just brought the check. I do know it is my job to alert the server, but when I said "No do not box that up, we do not want it." I thought that would have inspired a question.
I had heard about this place for years, and it was very disappointing.
*The garlic bread really was very good, as good as any store brand. -

I would have rated this place 5 stars if not for the consistently rude service. I have been here numerous times and always leave wondering how the wait staff manage to keep their jobs.
This place has some seriously fantastic food, but be prepared for some seriously crappy service. -

I was hoping this small, often overlooked place would be cool, but I was disappointed. I've been here twice and the food is mediocre at best. (The breadsticks were yummy though.) One of the times we had horrible service even though there was barely anyone else in the restaurant!

Review from Ted S.
My wife and I took my visiting sister and brother-in-law here for dinner Sunday night and came about very, very satisfied. This was actually the second time my wife and I have eaten here, and it confirmed our assessment of the place: excellent food coupled with decent service.
This place has a wide variety of Italian food options, including a respectable array of vegetarian options -- more than just the token spaghetti with marina and pasta primavera you find at some Italian eateries. (They do not, unfortunately, have vegetarian lasagna, a shame since they tout their lasagna as being voted best in Sacramento.)
We all ordered different items, and we were all quite pleased with our selections, which were generous in portion. My wife (the vegetarian) ordered fettuccine alfredo, which was quite tasty: nice mild, creamy sauce and perfectly cooked noodles.
I thoroughly enjoyed by chicken parmigiana: The chicken was tender with a crispy coating, sitting atop a mound of spaghetti and nicely spiced marinara sauce. I would have liked more cheese on the dish -- but then, I really like cheese.
My sister ordered the pesto pizza with assorted veggies, including artichoke hearts, tomato, garlic, and mushrooms. The pie was very flavorful with superb pesto sauce and fresh veggies. We ordered the thin crust, which frankly seemed like regular crust, not super-thin crispy crust you find at some pizza places. That was fine, though; we all liked it.
Finally, my brother-in-law ordered the aforementioned lasagna, which was really tasty too. I figure the sauce was the same that I enjoyed with my spaghetti, except it had the beef in it. The other ingredients were tasty as well.
Accompanying the entrées were some uninspired salads, compromised of iceberg lettuce, croutons, and a sprinkling of cheese. They were perfectly fine for what they were, though; everything was fresh.
The meals also came with garlic bread, and they gave us a large portion in a basket instead of giving us each a single piece. That was nice: It meant we were able to bring home extra with our ample leftovers.
The service, meanwhile, is fine, y'know? They're friendly, they take your order correctly and bring you what you ask for, etc. They can be on the slow side, though, insofar as checking to offer drink refills, taking away extra plates when entrées arrive, or giving you, say, knives for your food. These are fairly minor issues, mind, and I'm quite happy to give this place four stars. -

My husband brought home a pizza after hearing about it from another golfer at Ancil Hoffman. Delicious!
Last night we dined in for the first time. Nothing fancy, just good old fashioned Italian. The lasagna, pizza and garlic bread were excellent. The service was so-so. Slow on the refills and requests for forks, etc.
We will definitely return to try out other menu items. -

I've been here a couple times and my experience both times boils down to this: great food, slow service.
Pasquale's packs its pizzas with the freshest ingredients and uses a more expensive dough for the crust to get that signature crust taste. (At least, that's what I've been told about the dough.)
I've also had a meatball sandwich here, which was delicious, but the bread was just a tiny bit overcooked in one spot.
The servers are very friendly, but I think they could use a few more of them, especially on the weekends.
This is a true Italian restaurant and the delicious food and old-world ambiance outweigh the slow service. -

Classic Italian food. Great sunk in booths with dim candles to hide in. Great for a family visit or a quiet dinner with your mistress. The handmade pizzas are to die for.

Great restaurant, thx Yelpers. I bet I've driven by this place 100 times and never even noticed it.
Great decor and vibe - dimly-lit, very Italian decor, big comfy booths. Started with the mozzarella sticks - hot and yummy. GF got a starter salad with both house vinaigrette and ranch dressing on the side, both were very tasty. I ordered the pepperoni calzone and can confirm it's huge and delicious. GF got the manicotti & Italian sausage and it was served piping hot and very yummy.
Loved this place - def on our list of new fave places to dine out at. Definitely recommended. -

I love Pasquale's Pizzeria! It emanates an old world Italian pizzeria vibe and has the food to back it up. The staff is friendly, attentive and always welcoming. Sure the service can be a little slow, but I can wait for quality. Being a creature of habit, I tend to always favor the Garlic Intingolo Bread as a starter and then the Chicken Supreme pizza with extra garlic. I've had other pizzas and pastas off the menu with friends and have never been disappointed. If you've got a group and are looking for some quality Italian food with an old school vibe, definitely give Pasquale's Pizzeria a try.

I was impressed with the Pizza; usually I enjoy Italian-style pizza, which is not the type of pizza served here.
It is, however, very yummy. Much garlic. So I would avoid first dates. But still, yummy nonetheless. -

Ill start off with why i gave them 3 stars. They charge you for a side of ranch, they charge you for takeout, their pizza is not that good (real saucy), sometimes the place smells like dirty mop water, and they have a couple of rude girls that work there. Now what i like about it, they have the best breadsticks. When i go there i get the breadsticks and salad ONLY. I stopped coming here for a while because i felt like their food fell off, and i had a bad experience with this little buck tooth waitress that was hella rude. i decided to give it another try because it had been so long since id been there, and i was satisfied. i had a really nice waitress and i would go back if i was in the mood for breadsticks and salad, but will always wonder what to expect.

Review from Susan R.
As you can see from my photos, this place is really dark on the inside. Part of the ambiance is old world Italy meets the salvation army, which they did a decent job of pulling off.
When we first arrived they sat us in a circular booth. Two booths over was this really, really fat girl who could barely fit into a booth. As we were ordering, another really fat person walked in and I watched in horror as that person squeezed into a booth. Keep in mind, their booths are more roomy than most restaurants.
I am a huge fan of Italian soda and the cherry Italian soda alone deserves 5 stars. Remember, if you order this there are no refills but order it anyways.
The bread basket and salads arrived. The bread was similar to store bought frozen garlic bread that you heat up at home. It probably deserved -1 star.
The salad was iceberg lettuce covered....let me emphasize this word...COVERED with cheese and some croutons. Besides the soda, this place was off to a bad start.
While waiting for our food, another extremely obese person squeezed into a booth. Now, I am not talking about fat people here. These people looked like there was no possible way they could fit into a booth if their life depended on it.
Our food arrived. I order a pasta dish with marinara sauce. I have never had thick, tomato paste thick, marinara sauce before which tasted like pizza sauce. Don't get me wrong, it was decent but I wouldn't order it again.
I heard this is the to go place for pizza, although I haven't tried their pizza I suggest sticking to that. I noticed that most people were ordering pizzas so that must be their main staple.
The service was extremely slow. They didn't clear empty plates off the table quickly. Our friendly waitress apologized to us as she was the only person there with an almost full restaurant. I did notice the help wanted sign out front. It wasn't her fault at all and she did a great job when she could. I'm just saying, expect to wait which is great b/c you get to chat with your friends/family longer.
As we were leaving, an extremely obese person entered and I was positive that one couldn't fit into a booth. I was right.
After we stepped out of the restaurant, an extremely obese person was entering the restaurant. I have never seen so many extremely overweight people in one place in all of my life. These people were not just fat, they were grossly obese. Like their health was in serious danger obese.Listed in: Sacramento

The true test in a good pizza is how it is as a leftover. And for someone who does not generally like leftovers, pizza the next day has to be good.
When the pizza arrived on the table I was pleased to see that it was topped with a healthy covering of toppings. The top of the pie was covered that very little white of the cheese peeked through, unlike the major chains that have "pepperoni quotas". My friend each took a slice, and dove in.
It was good. Not overly saucy. A good amount of cheese and other toppings. My only real "complaint" was that it wasn't in the over long enough and the center wasn't completely melted, but it was about 30 minutes before closing when we walked in the door.
The pizza two days later, however, delivered to my high expectations as a wonderful leftover. The taste was still there, the flavors had mingled even more and the cheese was still good.
This will definitely be my neighborhood pizza place, and next time I do want to try the something else from the menu. -

Allergic to cheese or dairy in general? Then stay far, far away from Pasquales. It's sad though because as a kid my family loved this place. I recently tried to take my son there, assuming that we could ask for dairy free options. Not so...
When I started asking questions about ingredients, I asked if option A was dairy free and it was not. Option B? Nope. C? Uh-uh... Going down the line, I finally stopped and asked the waitress what was dairy free on their menu or what could be made dairy free. The answer? NOTHING.
The waitress checked with the kitchen staff and was told that cheese is in EVERY item and in ALL of their sauce options. They simply couldn't - and wouldn't - make anything dairy free. -

I am a HUGE fan of Angelina's Pasta House in Stockton. For the most part, I try to avoid other Italian restaurants because I end up predictably disappointed (see my review for Wholey Ravioli, for example).
However, we've finally found a gem in the Sacramento area. Pasquale's, you are one of my new favorites,
The place was packed with Caucasians on a Friday night, which was a good sign (I can joke, I'm part White too...), and it seemed tables were overloaded with giant, blistery pizzas, bubbly baked pasta dishes, and baskets of huge breadsticks atop red and white checkered tablecloths...more good signs.
We ordered the half order of breadsticks, all buttery and made even more delicious when dipped into a generous cup of marinara sauce. My boyfriend's Manicotti with Italian Sausage Sauce was OUTSTANDING, and the side of two oversized meatballs are beyond description (but I'll attempt anyway): meaty, not overspiced, and super tender.
I ordered the special, Spinach Ravioli, which arrived in a pool of Pesto Cream Sauce. I'm telling you, it was probably one of the best ravioli dishes I've ever had. The basil wasn't overpowering, and there was just enough cheese to complement the tender pillows of pasta. Phenomenal.
This place is a must-try if you're ever in the Carmichael area!! -

Solid 4 stars , next time we go I'm gonna try a pizza and hope for a 5 star experience.
Service was quick and friendly .
Prices were good .
My calzone was HUGE , I mean HUGE half of a medium pizza or so the waitress said . It was good but the sauce/dough was just a bit too plain , the garlic bread was kind of the same , just a bit plain .
But It was good and for 8.25 for a Pepperoni Calzone and I still have over half of it left ! look for the pics posted by Debbie P.
Solid 4 stars wish it were 5 but I/We'll be back ! -

For those of you thinking of hitting Pasquale's on a weekend, consider dining in on a weeknight, or just ordering to go. The place is packed every Friday and Saturday, and the parking lot holds all of 6 cars. The place looks like it opened in the 50's...dark inside, with old world Italian decor clashing with disparate traces of americana pawn shop furnishings (e.g. toddler-sized AMF go-cart racer, circa 1960).
We ordered the garlic intingolo bread as appetizer, not reading the menu carefully enough to realize that garlic bread comes with the entrees. No big; both breads were great; crispy crust, soft innards, garlic and seasonings that are prominent but not overwhelming . The intingolo bread was basically cheese pizza; garlic bread with red sauce and mozzarella. The wife ordered pasta alfredo and I ordered baked ravioli. The pasta alfredo is very good; about what you'd expect from Olive Garden. So was the baked ravioli; there were about 6-8 good sized ravioli arranged in an oval baking dish, smothered with lots of (salty) meat sauce and overrun with mozzarella. If you dig cheese, this is the joint. A glass of merlot, the appetizer, the two entrees and a Sprite came to $33.
The server was friendly, polite, prompt and attentive; well deserving of 20-25%. Given my one other Italian experience in Carmichael/Fair Oaks (see Serritella's), I would highly recommend this spot as a worthy, already popular alternative. -

Hidden away on a major thoroughfare. I describe it to visitors as the last shopping center before the Safeway before Fair Oaks splits away from Manzanita.
I was introduced to it by running friends who know a thing or two about carbo loading. Their calzones are huge and totally worth the wait.
Great garlic bread and a delectable house chianti.
Only downside was spotty service on multiple occasions. On one visit a spacy waitress seemed unclear on the concept of vegetarianism and mistakenly (twice) brought out dishes containing meat.
Everything tastes fresh. I love their raviolis as well.
I cant blame the establishment on one poor service and have been back several times since.
Multiple TVs to watch the Kings game and it is small enough where you can actually speak to the person across the table without screaming.
While the menu is child friendly, fortunately this place has not been overwhelmed by families with their out of control rugrats.
If you want to avoid the wait on a Friday night get there early around 6.30 or so. -

I've been there once, for pizza, which is above par (I had the Combo); I'd rate it better than Round Table and not quite as good as Ciro's (over at Old Auburn and Sylvan). The garlic bread is awesome.
Their menu, however, is extensive, and pizza is only a small part of it. I'm eager to go back and try the lasagna, which I'm told is excellent.
Service was prompt and friendly, and I liked the old-school atmosphere: very dark in both lighting and decor. -

Great atmosphere - dark and cozy. Nice escape from the heat!
Excellent pizza, the crust is absolutely delicious. They also have the best ranch dressing in the world - the kind that tastes the way you wish ranch would always taste, not one bit sweet - just savory and delicious.
We tried the lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs once, they were good except one thing kept nagging at me that I couldn't place. It was the next day that I realized the sauce was wrong - it tasted exactly like their pizza sauce on the lasagna and spaghetti. It's very good sauce (for pizza) but too sweet tasting on a pasta dish.
Stick with the pizza, it's incredible and have a side salad with ranch and a nice glass of chianti!
Tip: Park behind the fish & chips place on the corner, there's a big parking lot back there. -

Just came back from eating at Pasquales and man we are stuffed!
My boyfriend got a pepperoni calzone which was MASSIVE! It's an actual medium sized pizza folded in half! He loved it and he has PLENTY of leftovers!
I order their Mancotti dish which came with a side salad and a basket of garlic bread that we both shared! When the dish came to the table it was sizzling and looked delish. The mancotti was good, the sauce is a little sweet but i added some tabasco and it helped! Plus I love spicy pasta.
Our food also came out VERY quickly and we had a very friendly waitress. Nice ambiance as well. We will probably go back to try their pizza or their famous Lasagna. -

I have been here a couple times and both times was very impressed with the food. I have had the chicken parm, garlic bread, pizza, lasagna, and ravioli. The food is worth the trip but our server was very sub par, this place is only a three star because if you eat a lot of Italian you know that it can never be as good as mama's. However, pasquales would be a five star for me if I ordered it take out so it gets three stars.

Sacramento, CA
Italian cuisine is the most popular food in the world. Because of this, an Italian restaurant can be mediocre and still serve reasonably satisfying food. Pasquale's is that type of place. When I went there I had the lasagna which I felt was salty and overly drenched in sauce. It's supposed to be rated the best in Sacramento according to the menu, but even my own lasagna beats it. However, I've always felt that if you combine tomato sauce, noodles, and cheese, how bad can it be? The dinner came with OK garlic bread and a dinner salad. I'm not sure my blue cheese dressing had any blue cheese in it. It lacked the zip of the real thing. It was a generous meal for the money but they really aren't doing anything out of the ordinary here.

Pros:
Nice cozy old school style neighborhood spot type atmosphere, friendly staff. (We came on a Tues or Weds nite.) Good place for a relaxed family gathering. Loved the music! Frankie...Tony...thank you! I liked the garlic bread (DH thought it could be a bit crispier.) Portions are good-sized. Also, it's pretty close to home, we like supporting our local guys, and it's not a chain.
Cons:
1--Food...Meh...ehhh...just ok. (we had pizza and cannelloni) Sausage tasted a bit strange, like it was overly spiced. Didn't really taste "Italian" at all. Salads: zzzzzzz. See suggestions below also.
2--Wine...no carafe selection...that *Really* Took Away From The Atmosphere We Were Looking Fwd To!!
Ordered a bottle of wine but they brought the wrong one. It was good tho.
3--See pizza suggestion below.
Suggestions to owners:
1--Improve the food please to justify the prices you are charging. Or, just please improve it. Sauce was overly thick with hints of overcooking. Salad=blah. Add some greens maybe to that sea of iceberg.
2--Have a weekly or bi-weekly special maybe? (why not try Sausage and Polenta? or Osso Bucco? Fish? or....?? Mix it up.)
3--Bring back the Carafe Wines! Not everyone wants to down an entire bottle...sometimes 1/2 carafe is just right.
4--Pizza could be cooked a bit better, crust was DONE but top was very much not. Add a touch of fresh oregano to your sauce maybe?
Conclusion:
We'll come back sometime mainly because of the cozy fun relaxed atmosphere that reminds us of our old favorite neighborhood hangout in SF. (Giorgio's-but with the food it's apples and oranges, NO comparison at all. We sure miss having a local hangout with good food.) We'll try other things on the menu, but will share a plate because prices are too high for this calibre of menu. -
Review from Josh E.
Citrus Heights, CA
I've been coming to Pasquale's for years and I'll continue to until they finally cause my first heart attack. But that will be worth it because this is my favorite pizza place anywhere. Medium crust pepperoni and olive with a side of breadsticks (which are quite large, buttery and always oh so soft in the middle). And yes, getting a seat can be aggravating but I've learned to just order the pizzas for pick up. Problem solved.
