Review from Sophia L.
Los Angeles, CA
Have been learning on and off one of those cheap beginning guitars. Decided to invest in a guitar that would be easier to play and sounds better. Completely overwhelmed as I don't know enough to make an informed purchase.
Jeff was just wonderful. Patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to help me understand a bit more about how to choose the right guitar for me. They have a small selection of beginning guitars -- most of their guitars are on the upper end. But bottom line, I trust Jeff and his selection. Even if there were only a few in my price range, I know that those have been vetted and come recommended.
We didn't buy, never any pressure to, but I think I'll be back and pick it up in the near future. -

Really cool shop. Friendly owner, awesome selection of vintage and collector guitars (Fenders, Gibsons, Martin), neighborhood atmosphere.
The owner said he's going to bring in his amp tech permanently very soon. Turn-around time is already very quick so I can only imagine how good the service will be when the amps are taken care of on site. -

Nice little guitar shop. I came in looking for a 62' Fender Custom Shop Relic Strat and they have a nice mix of new and vintage gear. They have a nice selection of Fender Custom Shop Guitars and a few nice Gibson's as well... They also had some of the harder to find accessories as well like Bullet Cables and some nice boutique effects pedals... Prices seemed reasonable on the amps and most of the gear, but I found the prices to be a tad on the high side for the custom shop strats when compared to the rest of the Custom Shop/Vintage market in the LA region.
I have a bunch of vintage Gear and am a bit of a collector so I'm not basing my price comment on sticker shock as I own and have purchased high end vintage gear before. I didn't find a strat that I fell in love with so I didn't try to negotiate on price but the shop was nice, clean, and the staff was helpful. I'm sure if you found something you really liked and you presented a realistic offer they would be willing to work with you..
I will be back for sure to pick up a few cables and maybe a few pedals... -

This shop looks very kick back the man was very helping I didn't buy nothing I just passed by and even told him that I didn't want to buy anything and that I was just looking he didn't care and was still helping me out he even asked me if I wanted to take a sit and play a bit its a very nice kickback helpful shop.

YAY! finally a great alternative to that behemoth known as 'Sitar Renter' that we all hate setting foot in so much.

This small and modest place is hidden on Mentor Ave. right off Colorado. It's near the Icehouse and there's plenty of parking on the street and the adjacent structure.
Good selection of guitars to buy but even better a lot of supplies and service. Need extras like strings or picks or anything else. This is a great place to go. And it's quite quiet in there and there always seems to be someone playing there. Don't know if they have lessons there. -

As a beginner guitar player I swung by this local shop rather than going to a mega-Center.
The owner Jeff was there and was very helpful. Gave me a handful of guitar picks rather than selling me some when he had the chance. Good people! Good store! I'll go back when I'm ready to upgrade. -

Great place on Mentor, really relaxed and cool atmosphere. The guys there are very helpful, no pressure to buy, just an invitation to try. There got great guitars in there, some vintage stuff, all high quality. My main experience has been in the servicing of my guitars. I brought my Martin dread for a setup and they said, it was fine, just new strings. I brought in my Stratocaster after I did some DIY adjustments, and they did a setup to exactly where i wanted it, it never sounded better. I just had them rewire my Telecaster and another awesome job, very reasonably priced. The workmanship and quality is top notch. I trust their work . You can tell by just walking in, these guys love guitars and not interested in selling you extended warranties and getting you on the mailing list. Its nice to know that these kinds of places are still around.

You have found tone heaven!
Just fantastic, honest and true sound and vibe.
That's what they offer here.
The shop was fashioned around the love of guitars,
and you can feel it when you walk in.
No pressure no fuss, just good stuff...
And the selection of amps makes me want to get a bigger house.
Really good shop and something most seasoned
players and collectors have been waiting for! -

What a cool place! Went in because of their reputation. Didn't want to go to GC!!! Just went for a re-stringing. The bass sounds great. It grrrrowls now. Bass was adjusted for the new strings. Didn't even have to ask! Pros all the way. Thanks guys!! Will be there again. Don't trust your gear at the "other" place. Come here instead. Btw, the price was awesome!

Apparently, Santa's sleigh stopped here before placing a new Victoria amp under my tree. Wow! From the note he left the friendly knowledgeable staff were very helpful to the elves in selecting one of the finest amplifiers ever created. Thank you Pasadena Guitars for helping St. Nick find just the right little toy train for this good 'ole boy.

Great vibe to this space. I saw a show here and the owner is a friend of a friend who really, really knows guitars and tone. I also went up when some Marshall reps were demonstrating a few amps which was very enjoyably educational. I need to make my way up there again. It's been too long.

here's a store to save local players the trip to the beach or the valley. but be careful, you're sure to find something that you MUST have, so tread lightly. clean, quiet, good people, great stuff. and i've never heard wanking here, just actual players! you owe yourself...
