Oh Party City, how I love the vast selection of cheesy (and some non-cheesy) party supplies you offer all in one location.  Your prices on basic supplies like cups, plates and plastic cutlery are fairly comparable to the grocery store except you offer them is such a wider variety of colors!  You offer tasty candy treats including specialty M&M colors!  You have the widest variety of pinatas I have ever seen!  And the availability of costumes, not just at Halloween is greatly appreciated!

I was here last night in search of supplies for a baby shower and was not disappointed.  They really do have a wonderful selection of things in paper and plastic form as well as baking supplies.  Wondering where you will get your inappropriate cake form for your bachelorette party?  Party City!  Wondering where you will get your daughter her not-quite-age-appropriate Halloween costume?  Party City!  I'm so glad this place exists.

Party City rules!  I was able to purchase several key components of my halloween costume here last year.  My co-worker's birthday is tomorrow so last night it was my responsibility to purchase the stuff to trash her cube with (which we did successfully today).  The theme is High School Musical - don't ask - and none of us knew anything about it.  I went to the Party City website and search for HSM and bam!  It was all there - everything you would ever need to throw a High School Musical party for a 10 year old.

The downside was that they didn't have everything that I saw on the website so even though I got the HSM Wall Banner, Streamer, Confetti, Birthday Light Up Pin, and Dangler (all for $20 which was great), I still left wanting the HSM balloons and tambourines.  I guess the lesson here is, call the location before you get there if there's something you really need that you saw on the website.

Damn did we do good job of trashing/decorating the cubicle - couldn't have done it without Party City.

The costumes were of generally poor quality and the most likely underpaid staff was grumpy (in a party store!).

That said, the general schwag you can get at this place is good and cheap, albeit generic and fairly non-creative. Since I was throwing a generic pirate party, it met my needs. I have heard that this store is better than the Party Depot in Alexandria.

For the pirate party I bought eight small pirate rubber duckies, a four-pack of large pirate cardboard cut-outs, pirate birthday candles, two cardboard pirate ships, two eight-packs of pirate plates, and some other stuff I can't now remember for about $25.

This is where you get your cheap disposable products. Don't expect anything to last.

And everything's made in China so, given the news, it might have high quantities of lead, so If you're pregnant or a woman of child-bearing age or a developing youth, just be sure not to lick anything.

Party City is my go-to place for all things party related and EVERY year, come Halloween, it's also my costume savior shop.

Halloween is basically my nightmare - while I love it to death, it is always a last minute scramble for me no matter how well I think I have planned. Last year, for example - I special ordered a doctor jacket for my boyfriend that was supposed to be embroidered with all this stuff (the costume is too complicated to explain). It never arrived. I was never charged, but it never arrived. PANIC. Enter Party City. They always come through in a clutch. Not only did they have a doctor coat, but they only had ONE left that was big enough for a tall guy. This last minute purchase (along with iron-on lettering from Michael's) saved the day. They have thousands of pre-fab costumes, accessories, and at the very least - will give you thousands of ideas if nothing there works the way you'd want it to.

And if you are having a Halloween party, or any party for that matter, this is the place you will find it ALL.
