Good for a quick lunch. In and out in 30-40 min depending on how fast you eat.

I got the gyro wrap combo with hummus as the side. It also comes with a drink.

With tax I think it was about $9.20.

Nothing to complain about. Good gyro with large portions. Great portion for the price. Almost too much food.

I like this place.

It is a solid enough limited menu Persian lunch spot.

Don't count on getting Iranian goodies like fancy rice dishes with a crusty bottom or stews with sour fruits.

But they have nice pita sandwiches, decent salads and some decent soups.

Their flatbreads may be some of the best in town. Warm, soft and appealing.

Everything is usually good ... and even better if you make liberal use of the sumac powder that is provided at every table.

The room is not a plus.

They are always upgrading it and improving it and adding a TV screen or a stage or new furniture ... but nothing ever quite works.

It always feels like a fluorescent-lighted hole-in-the-wall with some decoration.

This may be one of the few restaurants I can think of in Austin, where investing in an interior decorator could provide a gigantic payoff.

The food is solid and reliable.

Pars deserves more of a following than it currently has.

Place went downhill fast after the original owner sold it..before it was delicious and the owner always greeted you with a smile as did the chef. After it was sold it went from 5 stars to less than one

I can't speak for the food because I never got any. After ordering a variety of food (gyros, shawarma, dolmas, spinach pie) through Grub Hub for delivery Pars cancelled my order because they were "too busy." It's not like they had to deliver it they would just prepare it as take out. Also it was a not small order it was over $55.00 with delivery. Wow "too busy" so they can pick and choose which customers are worthy of them. Grub Hub called and apologized and gave me a $5.00 coupon but nothing from Pars. Never again.

Owner claimed to call to cancel our order. I don't know who they "called" but it was not me.

Baba Ghanuj? Well, last time I checked, the main ingredient of that was eggplant - this was some tasteless mixture resembling yellow squash.
We ordered top salad with shawarma chicken with baba Ghanuj and extra side of spinach pie. Also used Yelp checking offer and received 1 falafel.
Salad was poor, checked below average, spinach pie good and falafel again, below average. When I said that this is not banana Ghanuj to the waiter, he kept insisting that it is, which turned into a silly agreement, rather than offer us a substitute.
Overall, very disappointed, especially as we chose this place based on Yelp ratings.
Ladies restroom was out of order too.

I put in an order, after an hour I called to get a status, they didn't know. Another half hour I waited, I called restaurant and they told me they had canceled it. I did not get a call about the cancellation. So we waited for food for 1.5 for food that never came.

I called and requested to talk to manager and they gave me owner's cell number. I called the number and the man who answered said it was a wrong number.

Terrible terrible terrible customer service.

I placed an order 7:45pm it is now 9:20pm. I called to inquire about my delivery and the gentleman who answered was highly unprofessional telling me there was no order. I explained that your establishment charged me $18.75 so there must be an order and to please simply cancel and refund my money at this time. He became upset and hung up on me.
NEVER ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!!

My God the worst experience...Still no one else here..its obvious why.
Service was crazy..Not sure if the high schooler understood anything about how a restaurant works.
Had to ask for plates, then silverware, then ask for food after 25min. I had to buy $100 worth of food to use a coupon.
Out of so much food, she didn't bring out any of the appetizers.
After 30 min had to ask for our drinks.

Love this place!!!! The pita bread they use is seriously the BEST!! My boyfriend and I got food here because we needed something quick before our Make it Sweet baking class and holy cow we were so surprised how epic their gyro wrap was! We just went back for seconds 2 days ago!!

The Lunch buffet was delicious and the service was great. The 2 gentleman that were working today were so sweet. I'll definitely be back!
