Kew Gardens, NY
I live on their egg sandwiches. BEST eggs and bacon on a roll I've ever had. Always moist and cooked just right. Service is quick and friendly and the food is good. I've tried other delis around the neighbor and nothing compares to Parkway.
Order a #5 and tell them Poncho Villa sent you. -

I often come in for their Parkway mix, which is too sweet for my own good. So, I just ask them to substitute 2-3 packets of Splenda and it ends up tasting just as good. It's a great price ($2 for small-which looks like a medium) for a refreshing iced coffee.
I haven't tried any of their sandwiches, salads, etc., though they do look tasty. -

Top shelf LI Deli. Their Jumbo Shrimp salad, probably the best I ever had. Top it off with one of thier Ice Coffee's and all is good.

Parkway Deli must be known for their GIGANTIC iced coffee drinks. Their small is the size of a medium or a large at most other delis, and their large is the size of the Big Gulp you find at malls. And, it's not for soda, but for coffee, which is a whole lotta caffeine. They also wrap the giant (lidded) styrofoam cup with plastic wrap so you get absolutely no spillage, which I totally appreciate (you poke your straw into the lid through the plastic). In high school, this place was popular for their signature coffee drink, which is a whole lotta sugar, a whole lotta half &half, and a bit of french vanilla coffee, which is quite capable of providing the ultimate caffeine + sugar buzz, I can assure you.
Parkway's got a neighborhood feel on an island dominated by superchains, and it helps that the same people have been working there for years. They have made-to-order sandwiches, a selection of meat and pasta-oriented deli foods, and breakfast sandwiches. Their Hungry Man Hero is a classic, not to be taken lightly, and only for those who think their cholesterol levels can handle it. They're not open in the evenings, but coming here for lunch and trying to restrict yourself to just a sandwich, instead of newspaper/tabloid, chips, vitamin water, coffee, a 1/2 pound of pasta salad and a block of cheese is harder than you'd think. -

Their giant sized iced coffees are awesome. They also have delicious sandwiches. Service is great too. This place is definitely a regular pit stop for me!

Although everyone raves about thier Iced Coffee, I will rave about their staff. This is the nicest and friendliest deli staff I have ever known, and I have worked in every borough in the city and both Nassau and Suffolk counties. Their food is awesome, their coffee is awesome and the fact that they are busy is just a clue to how good of a deli this really is. For me, the standout is, when I walk in, they all know my name and know exactly what it is that I want to order. They all smile, joke around with you and remind you of the importance of good service and that a relationship with your customers makes a world of difference. Parkway Deli is the best way for me to start my morning. Love you guys!

New York, NY
Good sandwiches, absolutely amazing iced coffee, and great service.
I used to get sandwiches from here for lunch, but they're pretty pricey. I've had better deli sandwiches, but considering the choices are lacking in Long Island, Parkway is pretty good.
The regular coffee is standard fare for delis, which I used to have every morning for work. But the real treat is the iced coffee, which is absolutely amazing. Whether you have regular iced coffee or the Parkway mix, you will be satisfied. They've raised prices over the past few years but it's still a good deal versus chain store iced coffee, which tastes like piss water in comparison. A "Small" will definitely take care of your needs; medium is absolutely humongous, so keep that in mind.
Come for the iced coffee, and have a sandwich if you must. You're definitely taking out, as there is barely room for people to line up and order. The service is great and friendly, though. Try to order from the giant bald white guy, he serves fast and never screws up. -

I love this place...the 7 flavors coffee mix is so good and ask for the large size. Aside form this...the food is fresh and the number 9 sandwich is my favorite. Makes me want a coffee right about now!

I used to come here all the time for the monster and sugary iced tea wrapped tightly in serran wrap. The sandwiches were standard, but they have a menu on the wall with many combos for those who can't make up their own sandwich. I've heard rave reviews about their special coffee mix, but I've never tried it. They have a lot of chips, candy, cookies, sodas, gum and newspapers. The staff isn't gracious nor friendly, which is why I stopped coming here, plus their price gauging was borderline rape.

Like both of the other reviews have already stated, the real selling point of this deli is their signature iced coffee mix. A summer weekend isn't complete for me without stopping by for my chilly caffeine overload. Otherwise, they rate slightly above average in regards to Long Island delicatessens. They don't skimp on anything in their sandwiches (there's nothing worse that can be done to a sandwich than to make it too thin). Their prices are a bit high, but so are most of the other stores in the area.
