Everyone going on about the pretzels and nachos is totally right! Tasty tasty bar food, good beer selection, cool bartenders.

Great place for a casual hanging out kind of night.

Want to drink a great craft beer but skip the pretentious atmosphere that many other pubs and taverns seem to be plagued with? Want to get good but cheap pub food with those beers? Want friendly service? Want me to quit with the stupid questions?

I love the Park Pub because it's just so damn simple. The formula is good beer, good service, good food, fair prices and no attitude. They may not have the vast selection that other places have but the intangibles so to speak more than make up for it.

I went to Park Pub based on another review saying they had a gluten-free burger, but when I arrived they handed me a whole gluten-free menu with pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, nachos, etc, etc. ALL magnificently delicious and fattening - just what a girl wants when she needs a burger. JACKPOT!

They use buns and crusts from Davinci's Gluten-Free Bakery up the street, which isn't dairy-free (full of butter) but IS without wheat.

So I still gained a pound or two, it doesn't matter, I had no wheat reactions. They even fry things in separate fryers for the peeps who are extra sensitive.

Park Pub needs some serious marketing on this topic, especially since there are about 24% or so of Seattlelites who can't eat wheat.

Looking for free pool, micro brews, delicious burgers and FREE RUFIES IN YOUR DRINK!?! Cause park pub is the place for you. Its dark and moody and the perfect place for any of the skeezebag wormy dudes who frequent this place to slip something in the vodka cran being nursed by the pretentious girl blabbing about health care and going green. Plus one star cause the fries are salty in the best possible way.

Call me weird, but I'd go here for the pretzels alone. They're soft and chewy and salty and come with a duo of mustards, grainy & sweet-hot. They totally beat those at Prost down the street.

Aside from that, Park Pub is above average in other ways: local, rotating beer selection and pleasant, smiling service.

Also, the hand-cut fries are the best I've had in the neighborhood (sorry, Red Mill), and the burgers are tasty (if not Red-Mill good).

Decent happy hour specials as well--the Thursday night happy hour extension 'til 10 p.m. is a nice touch.

Inexpensive yet very tasty food, a nice selection of local brews, and 50 cent pool... what more could you want?  How about the best nachos in Seattle?

It's friendly, it's fun, it's the Park Pub.  I'll be seein' you again, my friend.

Thanks for the recommendation, Cassidy.  Your food wisdom never ceases to amaze me!

Park Pub is a quintessential neighborhood bar.

Trivia nights on Wednesdays. Live music on Thursdays. Daily happy hour from 3-6. Pool tables. Full bar and pub grub.

Order the cheesy tots and eat 'em while they're hot. Beware the jalapenos hidden under the mass quantity of cheese on the nachos. Munch on a salty pretzel served with two mustards, one of which is guaranteed to clear out your sinuses. Drink a beer from a local brewery.

Service is friendly, but maybe a bit spread thin.

All in all, Park Pub is a laid back, unassuming place to unwind on Phinney.

This bar is average. The people and decore there are good but it is a little small and a little over priced.  There is only one table where a group of more then about 4 or 5 can sit. The one cool unique thing about this bar is all of the money the pool tables makes goes a local charities.

As a bar, I give the Park Pub four stars. There's lots of good beer on tap and the pool is free and there usually seems to be a table open even when the place is busy. The vibe isn't excessively in-crowdy.

As a place to eat, the meager burgers and the weirdly expensive soups knock it down a bit. On my most recent visit I was almost afraid to eat because I knew that I would probably have to settle for an average burger, but then I spotted the nachos and thought I'd give them a try. Now there we go, that's a good bar meal! Tall, loaded with stuff, and served with salsa, guac and cream. The chips themselves are actually light and fluffy. Throwing on organic chicken is $3 extra but it was worth it.

After typing the last paragraph I thought that maybe this was an all-around 4-star joint after all, but then I remembered that when I got up to talk to a friend at the pool table, the server assumed I was done with my half-finished beer and proceeded to dump the contents of my water glass into the beer, and then just leave the beer glass on the table. When I got back to my table I struggled to remember why my beer was adorned with ice and lime, and then I realized what had happened. I didn't have time to take it up with the server so they might have comped me a beer, but something tells me that it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Oh yeah, I HAVE been here before...but last time I was past drinking, and just trying to stay vertical.

This time I remember the name of the place, even with the vodka still addling my brain.

Drinks were...okay. Not terribly strong, but apparently not eating dinner makes Marissa a cheap drunk (and by drunk I mean tipsy).

Bartenders were easy on the eyes, and the place had a decent crowd for a Wednesday.

Complaints: Loud, live country music. Um...yuck, sorry, but yuck. i moved away from that twang, and it is a small venue...speakers were unnecessary.

No stems on the cherries?? Please fix that, i gotta get my practice in.

I arrived to some seriously amplified twang; a country rendition of Blister in the Sun played on a yuke.

Right.  Ok.

Ok drinks.  Alright service.  Cool enough neighborhood place, I guess.  Not a destination.

A solid 4 stars. I had my mind set on eating a Bavarian pretzel the other night, so we started our night intending to patronize Prost, only to be turned off by the muggy atmosphere, surly waitress, and no seating. So off to Park Pub it was.

We entered, found a table right away, and were visited by a server immediately. Wow. For a pretty busy Friday night after 10, I was blown away at the service. They have a pretty nice menu and draft beer selection, including the pretzel I was craving. My date ordered the hamburger, and was happy with it. It wasn't too greasy and had a "backyard cookout" taste to it. There are not many pubs in our neighborhood that offer the trifecta of happiness: Good beer on tap, hard alcohol options, and good food. We'll still go to Uber to fulfill our beer cravings, but when we are hungry as well, I think we've found our new go-to place.

GLUTEN FREE BURGERS, FRIES, PIZZA and BEER?  Come on!  How could I not be a fan.  It has been WAY too long since I have had french fries.  The swiss mushroom burger was really good too!  I would suggest it to people, but the atomsphere isn't the most amazing place to be.  It is a pub, what do you expect?  Overall I would totally go back for a burger, fries and beer!

A cool laid back neighborhood pub with good eats and billiard treats.
Really good nachos here! They make their own chips and use organic chicken cubes, not that shredded crap. Happy hour 7 days a week! Wide selection of brews too. A local fave.

The Park Pub is not a hoppin' joint.  It's pretty laid back, which I guess is my style because I'm giving it 4 stars.  The live music on Thursdays is hit and miss, but otherwise they usually have a good music selection playing.

-Friendly, welcoming service, but sometimes a little slow.
-Free Pool!
-Pretty good food, the pretzels are amazing!  I crave them.
-Good beer selection

All they need now is a trivia night.

On my little two-stop tour of Phinney Ridge, this was the final landing place...given that they have a full bar. Don't get me wrong, I like a beer, but that's about it. *A* beer. After that, I need my poison mixed, and preferably with vodka.

Cozy little neighborhood bar, two pool tables with what seemed like lots of seats. Good music, friendly staff, good strong drinks!

Depending on your mood and the night of the week, Park can be a great place to hang. I went on a Wednesday night and there was just the right amount of people there: not enough to hinder service, but just enough to make the place seem lively.

Some nights this place is packed, but it's mostly on the weekends and when they host mixers for Space City Mixer. The crowd tends to be younger (20s, early 30s) and hip.

They have the usual beers on tap; pints are a reasonable $3.75 each. They also serve food, but I have never paid much attention to the menu.

Park has plenty of seating --- at the bar, in booths, at tables, or even outside. The pub also has 2 pool tables.

I've always enjoyed my visits here, but I've heard people describe it as a meat market. They must have gone on the weekend, because I didn't get that vibe at all. I guess I can see how it would appeal to the frat types. If it's not your style, just go to Sullys across the street.

The Park Pub is a great place to go for a chilled out drink if you don't want to be battling a crazy crowd. They do have live music on occasion that is surprisingly great for a little hole in the wall. The bartenders are friendly and pull a great beer and the pool is free if you can catch the table empty. Their taps are constantly changing and there's always something new you haven't tried.

I went to Park Pub yesterday for happy hour and had a really great time. Apparently all day Tuesday $3 draft microbrews and $5 10" pizzas. The newly on-tap Hop Rod Rye was great, and the pizza was very tasty and loaded with fresh toppings. The bartender was also amazingly helpful and friendly. He seemed to be the only guy working the front with at least 20 customers in the place, and yet made time to come by our table and see if we needed anything.

They also have a small outdoor area in front that seems like a great place to hang out on a summer day (or when smoking). It's just some barstools and a ledge to put your drinks on, under some trees and umbrellas, but perfect for 1-on-1 conversations.

I wanted to dance table top but the bar tender wouldn't let me. Just kidding. I don't think it would ever get that exciting in there. The Park Pub lacked a lot of ambiance. The only thing I found mildly entertaining was the couple by the pool table practically having sex up against the wall. They were putting on a pretty raunchy show.

The beer was good, not really worth $5 a glass, though I think that's pretty standard for most places. They were out of two micros that I wanted to try and it was pretty early in the evening. Very disappointing, guys! The music was really sad, at least play stuff people have heard before?! Ok this is a crappy review. The Park Pub is mediocre at best but my review may up a star once I try their food... I hear it's pretty good.

Now, I feel like I have to preface this review with a note on my connection to the place... It's owned by a professor of a local gradschool, which currently has a student of which I'm highly enamored. So, take that as you will while you read my review...

As previously stated in other reviews, they always have an impressive beer selection. For me, it helps that they've had one of my favorite breweries (Stone Brewing) on tap a time or two. The food is decent, but then I've only had an appetizer and a burger. My student friend, as my father used to call her, raves about the portabello mushroom burger. I will say that it smelled fantastic.

The occasional live music is usually of the singer/songwriter genre, with some spiritual (christian?) undertones. The space is a bit small for a full band, but it works as long as they keep turning up the singers. For other entertainment, they have two pool tables which can be utilized free of charge.

Overall, if I lived in the neighborhood, I'd probably be here quite often for the tasty beer and free pool. Mmmm, mm.

The park pub is hit or miss.  They switch out the beers constantly, probably once a keg is gone, which is cool.  Forget about the menu being accurate the only way to know what is on tap is to ask the bartender or recgonize the beer from the tap handles.  The service can be either outstanding or awful.  I suggest going on a "special" night where food or beer is discounted.  My favorite is tuesday where pints are 2.50 and pizza is half off.

EDIT:  The park pub has changed owners and it now allows children till 8:00 and they have a happy hour menu.  4$ pizza and burgers 3$ microbrew pints.  The Tuesday night 2.50 pints have changed to three bucks.  They have free pool all the time now.  Beers still seem to change often.  The new owner seems nice and keeps a clean bar.  My biggest regret is that they removed the giant wall of pinups.

ya ever meet someone you tried to like - but you just don't for some reason?  that's the park pub. except it's not a person. it's more of a bar. that you don't like. for some reason.

this place really should work. it's got a good location - on phinney ridge - with a decent sized population that can walk to it. it's got a good look to it on the inside, a little smoking area out front - but it just doesn't work. i can't put my finger on what sort of crowd this place attracts - it seems pretty random.  or if last friday night at midnight was any indication - it doesn't attract much of a crowd at all. there were about 7 people there total.  the drinks tend to be spendier than they should be - and the place still stinks of smoke, so when you wake up the next morning - so do you. whether you smoke or not.

summary: if the park pub gave you a call - you'd see the caller ID and not answer. if it was a person. with a cell phone.

Park pub is an average neighborhood pub with above average pub grub. I had salads, nachos, chicken burgers, pizzas, French fries, and their hummus plate. They strive to provide organic and natural foods any time they can and it really shows in the flavor. Their house salad is perfectly dressed with just amount of acid, oil and salt. It is very clear that they use the freshest organic greens. Their nachos are worth ordering they come piled tall and are well proportioned, enough to feed two people. Chicken burgers are juicy, well done and served in above average bun that manages to hold it all in about 90% of the time. I cannot remember the meat burger which means that it could be somewhat average. The highlights of the kitchen are somewhat spicy French fries- they are crispy on the outside and juicy inside. They are as good as fries can be. Humus plate has a solid humus, warm pitas (nicely charred), cucumbers, peperocini, not that salty or meaty kalamata olives, but their tomatoes are juicy and very high quality. Usually, tomatoes on the humus plate tend to be as if you are eating a cardboard. Not these, thick cut and plenty to share. Beers are cold, juicy and a good selection at all times. The only negative, but extremely important is their service peeps. It is fast, but snooty for no apparent reason. It would not bother me if I do not go there often, but I have been there at least 10 times in the past few months and they are always the same. I always have a feeling that I am asking for a special favor and not that they are there to do their job. As if they seemingly made a choice to serve, but do it with tons of negative attitude. It really ruins the fabulous dinner that the kitchen dishes out. However, still I go back because it is the best basket of French fries in Phinney Ridge hood. Oh yeah, thanks for the state they cannot serve you outside on the patio (since people smoke there and if they serve they are condoning that negative behavior) and they really let you know that they DISLIKE to serve outside and that it is a bummer if you are asking for it.  Worth noting- they charge extra for the side of the ranch or other sauces. Cold beer, great fries- it works.

The Park was my favorite bar for a while. Not so much anymore...they just changed ownership and something's different. But I can't quite put my finger on it...we went there on a weeknight not too long ago and they kept playing really depressing music the whole time and it pretty much chased everone out. They have however, so far, kept the shrimp quesadilla on the menu thank jeebus! Cuz it's awesome. The salmon chowder is also fantastic. And the pizza. It's a good place for birthdays because they have a big long table. They were pretty cool about letting us all pay separtately as we left too which was kindof unbelievable given that most servers give you an eyeroll and take forever to split your tab. One good thing about the new owners is that they got rid of that snatchy waitress that used to work there...now the service is great.

My favorite neighborhood bar.

I wouldn't say that I'm a regular at any place, but the first second I entered I thought this is the place. On one hand there is never a big crowd and there aren't a lot of single girls that frequent the place, but if I just want a stress free time, I come here and worry about which microbrew to order.

Why is the food so expensive at Park Pub??  I enjoyed their beer selection (mmm, pumpkin ale) and their bartender (very cool w/ our big group), as well as their laid back, semi-crappy decor.  The wine selection was good too, even though I was already busy with the pumpkin brew.  But why would a bowl of chowder be $9?  Why?

What is there not to like about the Park Pub? From the great bottled beer selection to the blue felt on the pool table (that's right people, blue felt), the Park Pub has it all.

The food is cheap and scrumptious. I think it's like, $1 for french fries or something. They have a pot pie that could kill a horse. It's gigantic. Plus, everything is made fresh and to order on the premises, from the dough to the... other things.

Go to the Park Pub to exploit their happy hour menu, or to have a chill night with some friends.

Not a bad pub on phinney.  The beer line up is good with constant line up changes.  The food is pretty typical pub grub no real suprises here.  the staff has been very slow, escpecially if you are not part of their "in" crowd.  But over all, if you just want a beer, it is a nice place.  The owner was really nice, I wish his staff would follow suit.  I will go back because of him.
