I am so glad we found Park Corner Bistro. It is on the smallish side but we thought everyone was accomodating. We had an attentive waitstaff person but not intrusive. The food was great, small plates for the picky eaters so they could try lots of different things without running up the bill. And delicious bigger plates for those of us who should be eating the smaller plates. I don't usually eat beef but their burgers were so good I had them TWICE and they were cooked perfectly. It probably would not be a good place to go with squirming little kids - there just isn't room. But for those with teenage picky eaters - this place was perfect. Recs would be burgers, chorizo shrimp quesadillas, fried pickles (kids favorite) and some kind of unique chicken fingers. We had the sea bass big plate one night and it was amazing. For us, the only problem with the place is that it is on the island and we can't eat there as frequently as we'd like.

Brunch was decent, had an artichoke frittata, but didnt have much flavor, but my husband loved his bloody mary and his eggs benedict. The server was friendly and I think perhaps there would be more food choices during lunch/dinner, so perhaps may try them again another time.
Place didnt have AC (at least on an 80F day in the fall), would have been more comfortable if there was more airflow. -

Located in the corner of Post Office Square (across from the doughnut shop and post office), the Park Corner Bistro is a relative newcomer to the culinary landscape of Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard. This location has seen it's share of restaurants over the years, and none of them really thrived. I hope that this one does.
We walked in around 8:30 pm on a Tuesday in September...so it wasn't packed, although every seat at the bar was taken. I noted the cute decor, modern-meets-Vineyard, and was pleasantly greeted by the bartender, who asked if we were coming in for dinner. I replied yes, and a female server gestured to us to sit anywhere open. We chose to sit in the corner, at a candelit table by the window for best people-watching. The noise level was good throughout our meal in this location, even as the other tables filled up with diners.
The menu is VERY reasonably priced by Vineyard standards: appetizers run $6-12, salads are similar, and entrees roughly between $18-25. They also offer $5 munchies, which I didn't try, but sounded like perfect bar food, tapas-style.
My partner and I decided that instead of getting entrees, we'd get a bunch of apps and salad to split. We ordered the Fried Calamari, which was pretty mainstream, maybe a little bland, but came with three dipping sauces, tartar (needed salt), cocktail, and also a somewhat spicy "Mongolian" sauce, which my partner really liked.
The Steak and Cheese Sliders were two mini-sandwiches, with deliciously tender, thick pieces of steak, flavorful cheese, and adorable toasted bread. My one suggestion was that this could've used a sauce/spread, but it was a tasty morsel regardless.
The Park Corner Salad consisted of fresh butter lettuce and tomatoes tossed in bleu cheese and tons of smoky bacon. Did I mention there was a lot of bacon? They didn't go easy on it!!! This salad is NOT kosher!!!! But it IS delicious and a healthy portion to split, if it's not your main course.
My favorite dish was the Bacon Mac N Cheese. It was on the appetizer menu, but could be an entire meal for some people, and definitely good for kids! Bacon-y, flavorful, cheesy-not-oily, and covered with delicious toasty bread crumbs, I LOVED this!! Next time, I'm just getting this and a salad!!
The service was pleasant, timely, and appropriate. The bathroom was clean, well stocked with toilet paper, well lit, and VERY roomy by Vineyard standards.
Including tax, our total for these 3 appetizers and 1 salad came to $40. Very reasonable, very filling, and a welcome break to the many overpriced-and-pretentious restaurants on the island. I'll be back here next time I'm on Martha's Vineyard!Listed in: Martha's Vineyard's Best!!!!

WOW. Saying TERRIBLE is a pleasant way of stating how I feel. I can pretty much say our awful dining experience @ Park Corner Bistro ruined our evening. Where do I begin....
So, Oak Bluffs was packed tonight. Everywhere had over a half hour wait... and this is @ 9:45pm. We walk in to the Bistro and no wait, none at all. First sign that this place is terrible? Probably.
So, we walk in the door and no one even acknowledges us. So we stand there... and stand there. Finally the guy behind the bar yells "Do you want to eat" as random other staff members just blankly stare at us. When we say yes, we're there to eat , the waitress shuffles over to a lopsided table and wipes it down. There were 5 or 6 two top tables there, maybe a FEW more, yet they were left a mess. So we sit down at our crooked table next to another couple who looked very uncomfortable. On the other side of us was a drunk girl crying on her phone, a guy trying to hold her up and another drunk guy circling their table. Already awkward....
As we're sitting at our table, the bartender/manager and "bouncer" came over and told the crying girl and drunk guys that if they're weren't eating, only drinking, that they had to get up from the tables. So they did. But... not to soon after did a bunch of college kids sit down in the same place to do the same thing, which was to only drink. This place is suppose to be a good "date" destination and cozy/private? YA RIGHT! For some reason Mr. "Bouncer" doesn't ask them to move like with the previous drunks who had spread out over the tables. So now, we ask to move down to the last table so we're not SOOOOOO crowded. As soon as we do that these people engulf the table we had just been sitting at, and now there is a girl basically suffocating my boyfriend.
So ok, ok. That's not the restaurants fault right? Or the waitresses fault? Or the manager/bouncer/bartenders fault right? Well, lets talk about them for a minute.
It took at least 15 minutes to get a bottled beer. This waitress had ONE other couple to wait on when we first sat down. The bar was 10 feet away. Yet, we sat there and watched her walk back and forth, ignoring the dirty tables and not thinking twice about grabbing the beer. If you can't handle two quiet couples, why the hell are you a waitress?!!! Wouldn't the manager notice this in the beginning of the season and ax her? Apparently not. Regardless, so he finally gets his beer and we place our order. She doesn't bother to ask me if I would like a drink, even though I was clearly reading the drink menu and wanting to order. So, my boyfriend enjoyed his beer and I decided they weren't getting any more of my money so I passed on a drink.
Our food comes. It was presented nice, i'll give them that. I got a salad with "strawberry" vinaigrette. All I could taste was black pepper. My boyfriend got a burger, which he requested medium but was much, much closer to rare. He's not too picky so he ate it, I didn't touch my salad.
He got up to use the restroom, and had to squeeze his way out of his seat because the girl who basically sat on top of him WOULDN'T move. In the thirty seconds he was gone the waitress decided to become attentive and asked if we were done and started taking our plates. The salad hadn't been touched, my boyfriend was going to eat it after his burger. The burger still had more then half left to it and all I could do was stare at her as in "really, you want us gone that bad?" At this point I decided I was done and wanted to leave. I had thought that from the moment we walked in the door and no one even cared to speak to us, but had given them the benefit of the doubt and sat down anyways.
While we're waiting for the waitress to reappear, the table next to us is getting louder, clapping obnoxiously, standing up and bumping into our table and spilling their drinks, yet Mr. Manager/bouncer/bartender was no where to be found. This group was so rude and obnoxious, that the other couple walked out before their food even came. This place is suppose to be "classy" and "respectable" yet people who were their to enjoy a meal and a bottle of wine are driven out by drunk sloppy jerks? Where was the manager then?
We get our bill and are ready to get out of there as fast as possible. No one thanked us on our way out or even said goodnight. I'm going to go spend $50 on a salad and burger and have to sit next to drunk jerks and not even have someone say "have a good evening." OH no, no, no. If I wanted to go to an expensive, loud bar I would have!
Mind you, it wasn't like the two of us were singled out and treated in this manner. The couple that had been there before us left looking displeased, and the couple who had come in after us walked out.
This place is FLAT OUR AWFUL and I WILL be speaking to the manager or owner tomorrow. It was unacceptable, to say the least. -

Oak Bluffs may not have a lot of options outside of the standard pizza, dinner, pub fare. This bistro offers a large variety of small plates to accommodate different tastes. Highlights of our meal include grilled asparagus and duck skewers. Moderate pricing, but tab does add up quickly if your hungry. Would recommend for couples and small groups.

I am so glad I found this small little corner restaurant right by the water. I ordered the breakfast burger and it was just so delicious. Nicely cooked meat with an over-easy egg and bacon with sweet and spicy marmalade with side of strawberries and orange. All for $9.99. You can't beat that on Martha's Vineyard.
The service was very attentive, non-pretentious and quick. The food and drinks came out fast and everything was really good.
Not only that the restaurant is very nice.Large windows overlook the harbor. Comfortable booths by the windows. Excellent all around.
Too bad I was there a little too early for the happy hour because the menu looked really good. -

The PCB is a small cozy place. Off season evenings are filled with locals and visitors enjoying dinner and drinks. The bar is small and seating is limited but it a great place to meet people since there is no place to isolate yourself. The bartender was friendly and made me a very generous drink on my visit and was quick the make sure it was prepared as I liked it.

Last Sunday was a rainy mess on the Vineyard! My girlfriends and I had planned to go to Jimmy Sea's to relive the excellent meal we had there last year. We put our names in at Jimmy Sea's and strolled around in the wind and rain for an hour and a half before deciding we were famished and too hungry to wait for a table.
My girlfriend spotted the Park Corner Bistro and we popped in to check it out. We were instantly greeted by a warm and friendly host who promised us a table right away. Upon being seated in a Cozy corner table we were visited by the equally friendly waitress who took our drink orders and brought the water.
The atmosphere here is relaxed and refined. I would say this spot is very inviting to everyone from twenty something on up. Maybe not the best spot for kids in the evening as the bar and dining area are not separated at all.
I had a fantastic chicken breast with leeks and asparagus in a light cream sauce. Another friend had the chicken cordon blue sandwich on a fresh baguette. We all sampled the garlic and truffle tots! Holy lord! These were tiny bites from heaven which I will not soon forget! Unreal-I kept wishing I were pregnant or on my death bed as an excuse to eat about three more orders!
The tender Korean beef appetizer was sweet and spicy, the garlic bread was warm and cheesy and the stuffed mushrooms were velvety and savory! Everything was clearly created by a loving hand!
Our waitress was very attentive and even apologized for a loud bunch of people at the bar.
The bill was also a very pleasant surprise! Cannot say enough for this place and the hospitality was top notch! Cannot wait to go back! -

Park Corner Bistro- a lovely little spot in Oak Bluffs that has recently changed their menu and realigned their space to make it more open and friendly. I've been there 4 or 5 times this summer with friends. We sit at a table or right at the bar, where we are treated like glamorous royal dowagers by the cute young bartenders. Fantastic drinks, good wine by the glass and some really decent food at very affordable prices, especially for the Vineyard. (Had fried pickles for the first time here, and I can't say I'll be looking up their recipe any time soon, but it was fun - and for $4 it did not break the bank.) They have a lot of small plates, including many that are vegan and vegetarian... fun to share with friends. It's a great location and in the past, they have stayed open year round, which is a true gift for islanders. I always see friends when I go here. That's nice, too.

When I go to MV, I go to the Park Corner Bistro. This is a fav for lunch or dinner. Nice mix of New England, French, and fusion, they do a great job with the food here. The atmosphere is casual but upscale, the service is nice, and i love it. Clam Chowder with Asparagus and Bacon, fantastic! It's been a while, but I always look forward to my next visit!

Ok heres the deal...
some of the food is good but the service is horrible, Its such a small place and although everyone who works there is perfectly nice it takes them 10 to 15 minutes to seat you when you're the ONLY ONES IN THE RESTAURANT!
I have been there about 5 times because I LOVE the Cesar salad and the California burger, but each one of those times I was there for about 2 hours. It takes anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes for the appetizers (garlic bread and a salad) to come out and they generally don't come out at the same time, and then after that it takes anywhere from 30 to 60 mins for the main course! Then when my meal finally comes there is always a mistake.
Now I realize this is most likely not the servers fault BUT they never really come over to check on you. I feel like there's no real service being done.
Its too bad because I feel the place would be AMAZING if they could find some kind of rhythm. -

This is a review for the drinks. My god, these drinks are wonderful. The Holy Water was fabulous, and my mom would know -- she went to Catholic school her whole life! I, got two delightful beverages and of course, their names escape me now, but one tasted like cherries and booze (but not too boozy) and the other was a nice fruity treat that did not taste of booze either. How do I know they put booze in my drink? Weeeeell, let's just say we made friends w/ the bartender/owner, Jesse, and he knew how to make tasty libations that did not taste like all booze! I like this little place. My mom and I were the only ones there for a while but I went back the next day at night and the joint was jumpin! I'll definitely be back next time I'm on island!

In a town with few classy restaurants and on an island with few reasonably-priced ones, Park Corner is a rare gem that is both chic, not touristy, and very fairly priced, with the added perk of having delicious food! The Chef/Owner Jesse is an awesome guy -- he's always around the restaurant, asking if you need anything at all, and willing to go great lengths to get it for you! If you are looking for a quality establishment that's off the tourist path (yet right downtown!), this is definitely your place.

We were told that they were out of lobster when the waitress welcomed us and when we selected a bottle of wine they were out of that particular flavor as well. Mark chose the nights special - sea bass over a rice cake and spinach. I had the Jamaican pork with fries and a wonderful mango salad. I asked if I could substitute the fries for their garlic tossed fries and I would assume an extra cost. I was told I could not and I would have to buy another side of fries. Please, could that be that difficult. The place was not theat busy - you think that they would want to please the customers that were there. I wanted not to like the place because of this but the service was good and the food was great. The sauce on Marks fish was amazing and the Jamacian spice was the best - the heat was tasty and lingered in your mouth and lips. The fries were perfect (garlic would have made them better) and the chopped mango salad was more like a fresh sweet coleslaw. Perfect balance with the heat of the jerk.
