I adore this place.

I'm from California, but everytime I come up to Portland (a couple times a year) I walk down here and have some gelato. I've yet to try any of their food, tea, coffee, or fudge, but it all looks so delicious that I can't believe it might potentially be anything but good.

Their gelato selection is amazing: its hand made and the menu changes seasonally. They have traditional flavors but a couple rarities like my favorite lavender & honey, or fig. (I'm a freak, it's true!) The prices are reasonable, you can sample every flavor and the staff are adorable.

For starters, Parisi's uses Cafe Umbria, which in my book ranks up there with Stumptown.

Their panini selection is ample and the execution of such is truly splendid. What more could one ask for, but staff that is laid back, friendly and efficient.  And for those of us with a sweet tooth, try their gelato. The cappuccino gelato is the bomb;  not a one fails to entice, even the pistachio.

The interior is graced by sunlight through the large windows, and the red-black-and-white decor is ultra-clean, but strangely inviting and comfortable.

And they carry Foxfire Teas!

I may have never gone to Parisi's if it weren't for the goofball who "reviewed" it before me.  After our fellow Yeep decided to write a slanderous review, I felt like I had no choice but to get out and actually patronize this little cafe in the Beaumont district.  I guess I felt like I was standing up to a bully.

All I have to say is: gelato...mmmmm.

I had the blueberry butter cookie, and my hunny had the strawberry with chocolate chips.  Pretty effing good.  The service was great, and we didn't pay too much. They have fudge, paninis, pastries and gelato, so you could probably live here if you chose to.  The comfortable booths may just have you paying rent!

We were impressed, and you will be, too.

Meh. I've experienced better is a good description. You need to go have some of this gelato and then go over the 15th Ave and have some Mio gelato. Parisi's has a stabilizer in it that makes it very gummy like you can stretch it with your spoon up 6 in and it stays connected. This is not how gelato should be. We were not impressed and actually sorry we brought guests to try it for the first time.

I can't comment on the other items they sell we only had gelato but a month in Italy tells me this is not good gelato. Go to Mio on NE 15th & Brazee or Staccato on NE 28th & Everett both are soooo much better. They have the right consistency - Staccato is a little smoother but Mio has more flavors I like.

The gelato was good!  The Turkish Coffee had little bits of coffee bean in it, yum!  The toasted coconut didn't have a strong flavor, not as good.  The decor is great, with tables and booths scattered about.  The booths are a sparkly red plastic that reminded my husband of his childhood bike's bicycle seat.  There are beautiful photograph portraits of children on the walls; if you are looking for a child photographer make sure to check them out and find out who did them.

The service was ok, the young lady was helpful and pleasant, the young man surly and clearly did not want to be working selling gelato on a Thursday night, but that doesn't affect the overall ambiance of the place.

Bathrooms are shared for the complex, at the back of the complex and to the left.  You'll pass a wine bar, I didn't catch the name, and it looks lovely and inviting, worth checking out another time.  There's also a pet supply place and I'm a sucker for dog stuff.

I wouldn't drive out of my way to come here again, but if I was in the neighborhood I would definitely stop by for a reasonably priced, yummy gelato treat.

Oh my gosh, it is an incredibly sad, horribly atrocious oversight that I am the first to review Parisi's. I sit here, snuggled on my comfy couch, astounded. Why has nobody yelped this place?

Francesca J. is the culprit who introduced me to this fantabulous place. I tell you what: it was love at first sight. Panini sandwiches, gelato, AMAZING house salad, super cheap prices (especially during happy hour), and a fun kiddie table with legos and toy cars. No...I did NOT spend 15 minutes sitting at the kiddie table, playing legos and crashing cars into lego people with three friends before we even ordered...did I mention they have an AMAZING house salad?

It's a cute little place where you can talk with the owner pretty much anytime, eat great food, stay within a college-student budget, enjoy the music, and just chill.

Great food, great prices, great Parisi's.

Since I have a nod in the first review, I feel it is my responsibility to review good ol' Parisi's as well.

I discovered this place a year or so ago, primarily for the gelato. They have really good flavors that I've had trouble finding at other gelato eateries. Last summer, I tried lunch there and was really impressed. I like the panini & house salad combo as Angela R. said. Beware the dijon mustard...your whole sandwich will taste like it and nothing else. The fudge is excellent too, although when I've gone at night I've had dried out pieces a couple of times.

I am not sure if they have free wi-fi or not. If they do, I would go back more often. It's a nice little neighborhood place that fits in with it's neigbors in the Beaumont district.
