If, for some reason, you ever decide to explore the Oak Park area, make sure you head over to Paris Bakery.
Located off of Broadway and 4th Avenue, Paris Bakery is a Vietnamese bakery specializing in donuts and sweet breads (in coconut and taro flavors). The donuts are freshly made every morning, perfectly glazed, doughy on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside...and absolutely huge!
And while both the donuts and the sweet breads are great, the real treat at Paris Bakery is the Apple Fritters. At nearly 8-inches in diameter, the Fritters are definitely a treat for a mere $1. Before I heard about Paris Bakery, Manley's Donuts were a clear-cut first in my favorite Apple Fritter producing establishment. Manley's, however, has fallen to 2nd and Paris Bakery looks to be 1st for a long time coming.

**Reedit: I drove by today (8/2/07) and they're still open. Paris Bakery reigns supreme as the King of Apple Fritters!**
