If its a comic store that survived the crash of the mid-90's, they have to be doing something right. Family owned and operated, you will find satisfaction at this store whether it be dealing with the service or their prices. The owner under-grades back issues and always will work on a price with you. They have an anniversary 1/2 off sale as well as numerous clearance sales that run usually monthly. They are the only habitual seller on ebay that still has 100% positive feedback! mr.paradoxman is their ebay user id.
Stretching from the purchasing part - the owners Mike and John are absolutely hysterical and when provoked will say some pretty outlandish things in your company.
I recommend this store more than others in the area because since its their full-time gig, they have enough time to focus on the shop rather than be a teacher full time (a & s comics in teaneck and wildpigcomics in kenilworth) Although those are not bad options themselves.
I wrote this over a year ago and I'm glad to say that nothing has changed: same good selection, same nice folks, same entertaining tales and all. I still purchase most of my "paper goods" from here whenever possible and the owner John, his wife, and the rest of his family are still the same good people I've known since the mid-90's.
So why am I writing this update? To warn you about the guy Mike at the counter, who reads people's reviews. Watch out, I heard he keeps the heads of critics in the back, and I'm not saying that just because Mike ribbed me about this review. ;)
