I heard about this place when my girlfriend and other friends stumbled on it while looking for a place to celebrate one of our friend's birthdays. It seemed small but it was a great place to lounge at. The room was very open and looked like a very mellow place.
I met the owners and they were the nicest guys. My girlfriend ended up having her birthday there. They asked her how old she was...and when she told them, they told her to go to the bar every (her age number) minutes for another free shot.
Great place to dance at, kinda small but nicely designed and the owners are cool. -

This is my first review ever..and I want to be brief. I moved from San Francisco/Bay Area in August and I had yet to have a good time in segregated Chicago!!! I don't like segregated clubs, I also don't appreciate being around sloppy horny college kids in wrigleyville or depaul area...with that said...
FINALLY! people with un-pretentious attitudes whose goal for the night was to have fun! dance, drink, and be merry!
::: Pros :::
1. diverse crowd (ethnically diverse and more of a 25+ crowd)
2. great music (loved the old school hip hop for us 80s children) although its laptop mixing we danced for a good 4 hours straight..let just say my feet are in pain.. but I got my work out
3. $6 cosmo, $9 long island... I think thats cheap
4. laid back neighborhood, dont expect trendyness, thought everyone was dressed nice.. jeans totally ok
::: Cons :::
1. Its not a big space (cap: est. 100?) I think management should consider taking those bar stools away, it completely messes up the flow and the lame people are just sitting in the way of those that want to get a drink and go back to dancing. I had to ask someone sitting to order my drink.. thats ridiculous
2. limited selection of liquor (this one lady bartender did not know how to make a Tokyo iced tea and then i asked for sex on the beach and they didn't have rum? wtf )
3. no coat check :0(
we had to toss our coats on the table and hope no one would steal them
OVERALL I HAD A GREAT TIME. FINALLY! But this is a lounge, so I dint know if its going to be that much high energy as it was last night, Saturday night, there was a bday party and they definitely kept the momentum going. When my friends come to visit me this year, I will definitely be going here, I just hope it stays open....Chicago seems to lack consistency and bars are always closing one week and opening another. OK... that was not brief...because I had a good time. I love to dance, so if you do... don't be fooled by the dark closed curtains, ITS OPEN! lol -

Classy place!!! I think we would've enjoyed it alot more if it wasn't so hot in there, though. I remember seeing some man fiddling with the thermostat, but it still remained hot as hell in there. The music was great, though. They have this huge couch-esque places to sit. It has a great vibe to it. Drinks seemed to be reasonably priced, too. ($7 for a mojito!)
The crowd IS really diverse, which is really hard to find in Chicago. Plus, it's easy to find parking along this stretch of Milwaukee.
Maybe I'll check this place out again when it's not 90 degrees out. -

I went to Par Lounge recently on a Friday night for my friend's party and was dissapointed. It was smaller then I had imagined. It was really crowded for such a small space. There was a good amount of seating which in a way made it more crowded. I asked the waitress for a mojito and she said the bartenders don't serve them when the place is crowded. Then I ordered another basic mixed drink, they didn't offer, so I settled for something else, and she completely forgot to bring me. I would give this place 2.5 stars.
The music was a decent mix and so was the crowd. This place would be nice to just chill after a long day of work but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a place to go dancing or celebrate a big party. The atmosphere was nice, but good luck finding parking to see that nice atmosphere. -

Ok So after reading reviews for this place I thought I would head over there this past Friday. Let me start by saying the music was great. Man I needed to listen to some hip hop some good music. There is no cover!!! No wait thank goodness cause this girl doesn't wait in lines.
The people are very chic and that gives for some good eye candy. They had $4 dollar effen rasp specials woot woot...right up my alley. The decor was dark but went well with the vibe.
Places closes at 2am...kinda bummed about that but hey I headed elsewhere. -

So I checked out Par Lounge last night. First off the music is GREAT!!! I loved loved LOVED it. There weren't a lot of folks in when I got there but I can see how it can get crowded. The space is not that big but I think that the music is what brings the folks in. I did not stay that long but I will be sure to stay longer next time.

On Saturdays, it's PACKED with a line out the door after midnight, but really dead during the week. Thursdays has $4 specials for hamburgers, mojitos, sangria, and martinis. The music is mainly mainstream, underground, and old school hip-hop on Saturdays, and more chill beats during the week. The crowd is mostly minorities (African-American majority). The space is small but intimate enough for small parties because of the sectioned off seating areas. There are two bathroom stalls downstairs. Too far for me to come here, but if I lived within walking distance, I would!

I had my birthday party here, and spoke with Dana. She plans a lot of the promotions and events there for the lounge. She did a great job giving me options for packages, and set us up in the front area of the lounge where my friends and I were able to get seating. Just look for the address 1415 as their sign right now. As mentioned they do have great music here. It really makes you want to get up and dance. You just need someone to start it! It can get pretty crowded as the night goes on, and it's not a big area to begin. I think the bartenders are the ones that are the owners or the managers of the lounge, too. They seem very cool. It was a pretty mixed crowd that night, and it was lots of fun. I like how everyone was kind of dressed up there, and made me feel more like I was going out which was the type of mood I was in. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back.

Came on a Saturday for a friend's birthday party. Be careful as there is no actual signage indicating you're at the right place. No cover, diverse crowd and hip hop made for a good night out. In true lounge fashion, the actual space is quite small. Not a complete full bar (as far as requesting specific vodkas/tequilas/etc.), but definitely enough that you should be able to find something to your liking.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of this place but I'm giving it three stars because one of my best friend's is a bartender here. Ladies, go check him out. He's a little hottie. The crowd is diverse but its' too damn small, i dont care for the music and well i just dont care for it. I'll pop in there once in a while to get free drinks.

I chose this lounge for an evening out based on the Yelp reviews. I wasn't dissapointed but I wasn't bowled over either. The crowd was really interesting, a mix of different age and ethnic groups but everyone knew the songs the DJ played. There was new rap (which I hate), some old school stuff, and house music that brought me back to the early 90's. It was nice. I just wish there had been more room to move around.

When I went there weren't many people here (Thursday night), but I really liked the vibe. They were playing a mix of afro pop, punjabi beats, and reggaeton. I kind of equate the ambiance of Par to that of a hookah lounge but without the hookahs. It was a great place to come to chat with friends and just lounge.

Was here last weekend to visit friends attending a bday party and overall it's an okay place. Music was good with lots of old school hip-hop/R&B, mixed with modern hits. DJ during some breaks wasn't that clean, but didn't really mind when having drinks/fun with friends. Drink prices were okay. Overall, okay place, drink prices okay.
