This is a pretty solid Mexican food restaurant, for Miami.  It's a little difficult to find as it's set towards the end and rear of a strip mall.  The menu is elaborate, the prices are mostly reasonable, and the pitchers of margaritas are HUGE.

They sometimes have a mariachi band playing too!

We have yet to find better Mexican food in South Florida. And we love Mexican, though we like Tex Mex even more... so 5 stars go to Paquitos. The food is great. Lots of choices and not too greasy. The menu is extensive with traditional favorites including three types of Mole' dishes as well as more Tex Mex type dishes. Prices are on the moderate to high side, but portions are generous, fresh chips and salsa flow freely. Live music is common. Service is attentive. Atmosphere is excellent (and very creative). We never regret our meals here. I can't believe "Lime" has better ratings than this place. "Lime" is about one step above Taco Bell.

I always thought this place was a little bit expensive,  but one of my friends was having her birthday here so we went with a big party of people. I got some combination plate of some pretty tasty stuff and we all drank a bunch of pitchers of margaritas. I tried my friends mole chicken and it was pretty good too. Then they gave my friend this tres leches cake that was drenched in sweetened milk (i think) man... that was so damn good.... I am going to have to try to make something like that myself. Oh yeah - They had some Mariachi singers wandering around and sang a couple of songs that our group requested and sang along with - and in the bar they had people attempting some karaoke on stage.

Tortillas are undercooked - none of that smoky tortilla taste that would have tasted wonderful (unless if you ordered the quesadilla), and the rice and beans (a la Mexicana) were below average, but slightly better than that of Cancun Grill. The entrees were alright. This establishment is much more Tex-Mex than it is Mexican, and the flamboyant colors really show - in the restaurant with all the crafts, and also in the food... can you say neon green guacamole?

Exactly. That got me concerned.... and neon red tomatoes? Whatever, maybe it was the lighting, but the colors looked a little too colorful in the food, and I'm from Texas - I've never seen anything so colorful - it looked so fake! But the taste came out to be okay.

And don't get the dessert - the fried ice cream was very bland.

Prices were a little high for what it is and the restaurant is HUGE, which is unusual for Mexican restaurants in Miami unless if it is a national chain.

I probably would heed the yelpers' advice and head over to Cheen Huaye instead. This place doesn't have me wanting to run back for the food.

This is a joke for Mexicans. You can taste the salsa like it's coming from a metal tin can. Same for the food... I had enchilladas... you can taste that it was not fresh and sauce from it had a metal taste.
But hey... if you are gringo... you might not notice the difference.

We stumbled across this place looking for lunch on our way from the West Coast of Florida to Haluover Beach.  This is one of the prettiest Mexican restaurants I've seen, with lovely crafts and artwork and a cozy garden.   Service was prompt and considerate and food was very high quality, though a little blander than what I am used to.   Agree with the other reviewer on price, though I think it might be influenced by a hgih rent location and may be par for the area.
