4 reviews for Papa John's Pizza
i gotta say.. i love papa johns not only because they are a fourth of a mile away... but because i've ordered from them countless times and always get great service and the pizza is always yummy!
and no i don't get delivery.. that's just wrong! i can throw a rock and hit their roof... haha.
So, we ended up ordering from here the other night after not eating pizza from there in a couple of years. The experience (ordered online, inexpensive, had it delivered) was great. The pizza was not so good. The crust is definitely pre-made, and if not, is just really bad. The sauce is very sweet, and the cheese was not super melty.
We've been eating a lot of Pizza Schmizza and Bellagios lately, and even though the online ordering thing was really cool, Papa John's just doesn't even come close to them. I guess we're just spoiled here in the Pacific Northwest with our vast selection of small chain and independent pizza places.
PJ's offers delivery and takeout of decent tasting pizza and is one notch above Pizza Hut and Domino's but below Round Table as far as Mega-Pizza chains go. Crust is more authentic to me and doesn't contain nearly as much butter as Pizza Hut and Domino's do. I like the basic pepperoni pizza from here.
Not good. Really uninspired and blah. There is much better pizza out there (including round table). You are better off with schmizza, pizzicato or hot lipz
