3 reviews for Panera Bread
The old "discount steak house" was gutted and rebuilt into a shiny new Panera.
I use it as an adjunct meeting place. My wife loves the food.
Easy to get to. Never too crowded. Nice fireplace in the center of the place.
Generally great, engaging service.
Panera Bread is a place for great pastries, decent sandwiches, tasty salads and in this case, spotty service.
Service - I ordered my favorites to go (not including their delicious apple & cheese pastry) the Sierra Turkey sandwich (less the Chipotle mayo) and the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad (apparently less the chicken???). They left off the chicken!!! Why would I order a Fuji Apple Chicken Salad w/ out chicken? I was sooo mad!! It was to late to go back after I was back in my hotel and comfortable. Did I mention I was mad?
Food - The salad consists of citrus-herb chicken (sometimes), mixed field greens, romaine lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, red onions, pecans, gorgonzola, apple chips & white balsamic apple vinaigrette. My sandwich consisted of smoked turkey breast w/ field greens, red onions on an asiago Cheese focaccia. I think focaccia means that we gotcha w/ a lot of calories. According to their website, 1000 to be exact (http://www.panerabread...). That much in a tasty sandwich, I hate you Panera! The salad was tasty, even w/ out the chicken in the salad. The sandwich was also good, but to later find out that it has 1000 crazy calories was scary.
Overall - Please stop screwing up my orders and I will keep coming (after I check out your website).
People, just because it looks healthy and you think it is absent of things you do not want, calories, does not mean it is and conversely just because the menu says that it comes w/ chicken does not mean you will get it.
The lines are crazy long at lunch time, but the staff is efficient and moves the line quite fast.
