20 reviews for Panera Bread
Free Parking, Free Wifi, good coffee/sandwiches/pastries/etc.
This place would be perfect for studying and my overall life were it not overrun like bananas on the weekends. Also, beware the ChuckECheese next door and other assorted chain restaurants and stores. Somehow when all of these bland and ordinary things collide, people become atrocious drivers/parkers. It's weird.
It's taken me years to come around to Panera. I fought it, but upon having no other option a few months ago, I gave in. And quite enjoyed my food, surprisingly enough. I got the the mozzarella and tomato panini and it was truly delicious.
And so, when at Michael's yesterday evening with a fellow Yelper, and when said Yelper desired an iced tea, we chose Panera. It was easy and right across the parking lot (though we did not walk...too cold???...who walks in shopping malls anyway???) Upon entering the food establishment that so many love (apparently, as we were two of maybe thirty people, many of whom were families) we quickly decided to also get food. I got my usual and a hot tea, and my friend got chicken salad sandwich and corn chowder (I think it was chowder), both of which hit the spot. And they have relatively clean restrooms. So, four stars for Panera, my long time foe, and now...friend.
Best Coffee Shop Ever! One of my favorite places to have lunch on a saturday with my mom lol I love it. Frontega Chicken with Broccoli Cheddar soup (U-Pick-2) Amazing stuff!
I love Panera Bread in general, but I was particularly impressed with this location and here's why:
I wanted a quick lunch before I went to work and I had a coupon for Panera. The Everett location was the closest to me at the time. I walked in the door and immediately remembered that it was mother's day and the place was packed. I figured the wait would be ridiculous and I would be late for work for sure.
By the time I decided what I wanted, I was able to walk right up and order. My food and drink was ready in about 5 minutes - I was impressed!
Panera = Pain Terror (Bread Fear: Horror at the Sandwich Shop)
Service was such a nightmare--Freddy Krueger was standing in line 4 people behind me.
I'll never go back, not even on Halloween. EeeeeeeK!
This Panera was the first one I saw in Boston (weird I know) and it was a nice little reminder of the Midwest. Add that to the fact that it's in suburban heaven- Costco, Petco, Target, etc- and you've got 4 stars!
Inside is clean, the staff was very polite and efficient. The food was on par with other Panera's and I had no issues connecting to the free wi-fi.
So if you need to run a bunch of errands and then crave some lunch, head here- you won't be disappointed!
I've been to several Panera's, and even tho' this one isn't the fanciest, it's my favorite. It's clean and bright, in a convenient location (near Target, Costco, Home Depot, OfficeMax, etc.) and always nearly full. All their breads and desserts are excellent--I try something different every time I go and haven't been disappointed yet.
My current favorite meal is the half and half Caesar salad and low-fat vege black bean soup, with a carrot-walnut muffin for dessert. drooolll...
I love Panera. This one in Everett (I know... everett, but don't judge!! Read on.. ) is the closest to me and the cleanest!
Whatever you are craving... soup and sandwich on a cold/rainy day?
salad and ice tea on a summer day
coffee and a delicious muffie (muffin top)
You will be more than satisfied. Service is quick , food fresh and delicious... worth the trip, and while there you can go to my favorite Target in the world.....
Why am I taking the time to review a chain sandwich place in Everett? Because I went there about 4 days a week for six months and not once had a bad meal. That's about 100 trips to the Panera without so much as an "excuse me, I asked for cheese on this."
You're not going to be blown away by the food, of course, but it is hearty meats on hearty homemade bread and you'll walk away feeling full and not all the poorer for it. The place is clean, open and bright and despite the constant lines between noon and 1:30, the service is good and the wait is never terrible.
If you're in that corner of the world and want a consistent lunch place, this is your stop. Parking is abudant and you can be in and out in a half hour.
Very cool cafe style sandwich shop far Superior to the likes of Au Bon Pain. They have about a zillion fresh baked breads, bagels, muffins and other pastries. They also have a selection of coffee and teas, soups, sandwiches, salads and FREE WI-FI.
My boyfriend and I often stop off at Panera after a long day at work when we don't feel like cooking. Last night was one of those nights.
I ordered the Turkey Bravo sandwich with smoked turkey, bacon, Gouda, lettuce and tomato on a tomato basil bread and the spring vegetable soup. Both were delicious. What made my meal even better was when someone came a round and dropped a paper bag in front of me and said, "here's a present for you." Inside there was an asiago cheese bagel, a chocolate chip cookie, and this sticky cinnamon bagel. Apparently they were about to close and instead of tossing out all this delicious food they gave it to us. And I'm certainly glad they did. The cookie was absolutely amazing. Chewy and chocolaty. And my boyfriend rather enjoyed the Asiago bagel. And what tastes better than free baked goods?
The only reason I gave Panera 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have this crispani pizza that they only serve after 4. My boyfriend is usually there for lunch and has been dying to try this thing. When he ordered it last night they said they didn't have it because they had already sent home the crispani chef. The look on his face just about broke my heart. Shame on you Panera for making my baby sad.
First let me start off by saying, that I'm a huge fan of Panera, and that is mainly for their Baked Potato Soup which is heaven in a bowl. With that said, I will only go to Panera on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays because those are the days that my beloved soup is in the soup rotation. I'm addicted. No I don't want to expand my horizons and try anything else. I just want some yummy baked potato soup and nice warm bread. Sometimes, if I'm really hungry I'll get a half and half with a sandwich and, you guessed it, baked potato soup.
Second, This is my favorite Panera in the area of which I live. It's in a nice location - easy to get to and around the stores that we are normally going to to run errands. It's always clean. It can sometimes be a little busy, but whatever, that just means other people think its good too.
My favorite part about this Panera, though? They have my baked potato soup when they are supposed to. I have tried a couple of other Panera's in the area (Arlington and Waltham) and as I walk in on a Saturday afternoon I am disappointed to see that they do not have my soup. It is Saturday! What's the deal? Your website and menu says that I am supposed to get my soup today. The Everett Panera, though? They never disappoint me.
Can we talk about soup in a bread bowl for a minute and how amazing it is? I am surprised that more places don't serve soup like this. I'm sure it's really not healthy, but really - when it tastes as good as it does at Panera, does it have to be good for you too?
This past winter Panera totally saved our lives - hours into Christmas shopping and we had begun to be completely delirious and grumpy, thankfully there was a place that we could get a simple bite to eat without paying and arm and a leg for the five of us to eat. There were places to sit and we got our food quickly - so thank you Panera for lessening the homicidal rage due to holiday shopping.
The all-smiles Stepford Wife behind the counter seemed as pleased to take my order as a wound-up monkey enjoys banging its cymbals (this is, no doubt, no fault of her own, but just the way chains like this discourage personality). My girlfriend scoffed when I ordered a chicken salad sandwich ($5.49), saying, "You didn't order a REAL sandwich." Apparently, ordering a real sandwich means paying an extra $1.50 for some kind of artisian bread with special artisian sauce for your artisiany lifestyle which is complemented by all the artisiany script on their signs--I've never felt so tranquil as when I discovered the word "Trash" in long, flowing artisianal script.
This fancy fast food restaurant, the Starbucks of sandwich shops, was packed, too hot, and there wasn't any pepper and salt on the table. Actually, there's nothing on the tables except for ads tempting you to try yet another daring attempt to make a turkey sandwich new, exciting, and, yes, you guessed it, artisianal (if it's not "Sierra Turkey," it's "Turkey Bravo!"). My sandwich was predictably boring, but the chips were good, and free refills of Pepsi products is a plus, My girlfriend's sandwich, one of their "Signature Sandwiches" (yawn), looked good and she enjoyed it enough.
The place is clean, and there's a microwave and toasters for when your coffee gets cold, I guess, or when your bread, um, suddenly needs toasting. As far as seating goes, we did get a booth that was comfortable, but there was a long line of heads constantly in view to our right as the hordes charged in to pay too much for what they think will be, but probably won't be, new, exciting, and good for them.
if i had a quarter for every time i went to this place hungover on a Sunday.......
i love panera bread in every way shape and form. the food is absolutely amazing, the inside is nice, it's not too expensive, and you can get unlimited amounts of any drink you want (iced coffee included, clutch when its 2pm on Sunday and you have 12 hours of work to do before tomorrow).
you can only walk into panera bread wearing a frat tshirt and sweatpants loudly talking about the craziness that went down the previous night (the look on kids faces is priceless). and you have to get french onion soup.
panera bread = the bomb
I work in the plaza, so Panera helps me start off my day quite frequently. There are usually long lines, but the staff is quite professional and helpful, so they move along quickly. There are plenty of tables, but every once in awhile they are all filled and you just have to take your food togo. The bagels and bread are wonderful here, I've never tried one I didn't like. The IC Mocha is absolutely to die for, I love me some coffee and chocolate! Thanks Panera for making Sunday doubles a little more tolerable!
The food, as always, is great and cheap for something you might consider as "gourmet", but the girl that waited on me took my question about the food as my order and I ended up with something I wasn't excited about it. Annoying!
This is my favorite Panera! What a great place to eat. Panera itself is a delicious and quick eat, and the Everett location is probably the best of them all. The staff is really friendly, one time I bought a bread bowl and they ran out, and they actually reimbursed me and brought my money to the table! They have great soup, I love the broccoli cheddar, and my favorite sandwich is the Frontega Chicken. You can hang out there or get it to go...what more could you ask for!?
My cashier was Brazilian and couldn't take my order. She kept getting it wrong and ringing it up wrong. When I finally got the food it was standard, just like all the other Paneras around the globe. The pastries were good.
Over rated. Maybe it's just because I'm cheap. It was $6 something for a PB&J or Turkey kids meal...which I dished out for my daughter b/c it's way healthy than the crap they offer at Chuck E. Cheese! I'm into the healthy organic foods as much as the next person but not if it means breaking the bank...I got an Ice latte which was somewhat like Dunkin Donuts (ONLY MORE $$$). Next time I want to pay more for a latte I'll head to Starbucks....At least I know it'll be good! The couple next to my daughter and I were in there 20's and on the laptops the entire time...They must have been there for hours...because they were still in there Sunday morning PJs...losers.
Panera bread is good, but I prefer Au Bon Pain. It is usually very crowded and hard to find a seat. Sandwiches here are great, but surprisingly i don't enjoy the bread here.
