I don't consider any of the so-called Chinese restaurants in southern Marin actual Chinese food. However even for americanized Chinese food none of the places I've tried was good. They basically use one molasses like sauce base to make everything on the menu. You want kung-pao? We add some dried chilis and peanuts, want Mongolian? We stir fry with soy sauce.
I was craving for Panda the whole day yesterday for some reason and decided to order to-go since this location is 5 mins drive from where I am. We ordered a family dinner with their new black pepper steak, kung Pao chicken, super green, fried rice, and chu mian. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was tasty. The portion was generous. What else can I say? This is my go to American Chinese food place from this point on. If I want real (or close to real) Chinese food, I will just cross the bridge.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 16, 2023
Worst panda experience I've ever had.
The cashier was not very pleasant and she's not bright enough to give you a tray when you dine in. Plus having to ask for a bag for a take out order is so annoying. How does this lady expect anyone to carry multiple boxes of food plus drinks like humans have more than one pair of hands.
Also, they don't have the eggplant entree or any good veggie options.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steve E.Hercules, CA0112Nov 17, 2023
No vegetarian entreees. Tried to tell the manager my concern, but she was too busy to talk. Horrible customer service!

Better then traditional fast food but it's still a chain restaurant, veggies were crisp which is good

Following a long meeting, I'm ready to go home, but thinking "what's at home to eat?" Panda was within site and parking was plentiful, so I just pulled in.
A typical Panda store with one exception. It's spotless! With that, friendly faces greeted me. Ordered my usual Mushroom Chicken and Super Green Bowl as carry out.
With two minutes of radiation at home and a packet of chili sauce, dinner is ready and delicious!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - J. J.San Francisco, CA02Oct 12, 2022
I go in here often when they open at 10:00. They are never ready and sometimes don't even open the door until ten minutes after. When you walk in, there is often no one to help you. All the staff is busy putting out spoons, cooking, etc. You should do all that before you open. Meanwhile, a line forms behind you. This morning I waited--I kid you not--thirteen minutes before someone took my order. The food (not all of it was ready) is always good at this time because they just made it.
If you're going to say you open at 10:00 a.m., open the door at 10:00 a.m. and be ready to do business. I have walked in at 10:30 and received the same poor service. A chronic management issue that has allowed this to go on this long. Either staff shows up too late or they are understaffed. I'll keep going here because the food is terrific. The people are nice, too--that isn't my beef here. If you plan to be here between 10:00 and 10:30 prepare to wait 15 minutes. If that's okay with you, then you'll be happy.
I'm feeling guilty now, so I am upgrading my rating from 2 to 3 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jaki B.Corte Madera, CA03Oct 30, 2022
Don't even bother. I gave them one last chance in order to try the Beyond Orange Chicken and they weren't even serving it despite all the advertisements. Terrible service, and predictably unpredictable.

Been here a few times, the chow mein tonight, Saturday December 17th, was really good. Specifically the onions and veggies that are mixed in, were much tastier than usual, and the ratio was great. Hopefully they see this and can replicate tonight's chow mein for the future.

Panda Express has shown me the way (tao) a lion like me can eat an healthy meal. note all entrees had calorie, meat specs.etc, these need to be calculated to configure a meal system.
offerings: 1 side + 1 entree(bow,6.75), 2 entree + 1 side(7.75), 1 side + 3 entrees(9.25), sides (3.25? )bowls (6.55). appetizers(1.95)
eats: friend rice, ok taste with 2 entrees (7.55)
-sauteed broculli & beef, 10ish blanch brocculii, 2 pieces beef, ok fresh beef, broculi
-kung pao chicken: stirred fried chicken pieces with red/green peppers, celery, carrot, cucumbers, onions,,,no msg, tasted fresh, almost fulfilling. some sodium.
leftovers: waiting in line during lunch 5-10 minutes, reasonable.
