7 reviews for Panda Express
My fellow Panda Yelpers dissed this place with fewer stars than an American Idol episode, but I'd like to know why? This location is super clean, brightly lit, always friendly, busy and free of homeless people wandering around (yes, San Francisco Panda Express, this implies you).
This location isn't open late (Pru 1 & 2 empty out by 6pm), and you'd be pushing it to find anything edible 15 minutes before closing time. But...if you call ahead, they'll take custom orders ready for pickup within 15 minutes. I discovered a great thing few years ago: this location staffs wonderful people; Lili is one of the friendliest people I've ever discovered in a fast food restaurant anywhere. She is one reason this location rocks.
Yelpers, this is sufficient fast food Chinese, not The Imperial Dragon with a royal warrant from Her Majesty. Remember that as you're reviewing, and please cut Panda Express some slack. It could be worse (yes Seafood 65, this definitely implies you).
I'm going to agree with Robert S. The people who work here are great! Lili is also one of my favorites. They are always happy to make my Panda bowl the way I like it--half rice, half veggies with string bean chicken. Sure, this may not be the place to get egg rolls, but it's clean, fast, and the food is always fresh from 11 am - 2:30 pm.

The stars are based on this being Panda Express, if I was comparing it to other restaurants it'd be a bit lower but I feel fast food restaurants deserve to be compared to only their peers.
This is a decent Panda Express ... a bit expensive (when did Panda Express get so expensive!?!) but ok. They have an average selection. I'm a little weirded out when the staff try to force samples down my throat - after numerous and polite "no thank yous" I told them "I DON'T eat meat!" and promptly got "wanna try the tofu?"
I usually get the panda bowl with szchewan tofu and fried rice. Its filling when I'm really hungry - I only go as a last resort. Sometimes I order the veggie egg rolls ... and then I wish I didn't.
This isn't gourmet cuisine but if you're in a rush, craving some really Americanized Chinese food then Panda might just meet your needs.

This is the best Panda Express I've ever tasted. The food was hot, fresh, and good. Especially, the vegetables. I love the fact that they do not use MSG. Also, this place is so clean you can eat off the floor.
This isn't Chinese and that's not news... I occasionally work up the need to go here and after eating I usually realize why I don't eat there often. The food is average at the very best... I always feel gross after eating here, it's one of those types of places that I literally have to go wash my face after eating.
I give them one additional star for figuring out how to not make the whole building reek of nasty Chinese food... when they first opened it was really bad.
If I want orange chicken I'll get a small sampling at Market Creations.. it's just as good there and you can get as much or as little as you want.

just feels jipped when they don't pack in your panda lunch box. the panda at this location is just like any other overpriced lunch place now. been hoping to make this a frequent lunch spot, but now will prolly stick with 65 instead.
