I wanted to pick up some breakfast and remembered their was a food court in the lower level of Macy's Plaza so I went to see if there was an breakfast. I came to Pam's Deli which is more a Korean BBQ place on weekdays but for breakfast they had a breakfast sandwich similar to a Egg Mc Muffin so I ordered the combo that came with Seattles Best coffee.
He cooked up what I believe was not one but 2 eggs in a small skillet and lightly toasted the English Muffin then added the cheese and the sausage for my husband's (the sausage was 2 links cut in half so 4 pieces). It was much better than Mickey D's and about the same price too.
I know who goes for an American Breakfast at a Korean BBQ but it all worked out.

Unlike Pam's Deli Delight I reviewed previously, Pam's Deli in the Macy's Plaza seems to have edible Korean food. Mind you, it's not going to really cut it stacked up against even the weakest joints in K-town.
I'm not sure if the two are related but it seems like it would be considering the name and what they serve (sandwiches and Korean food) but Pam's Deli with their plain blue sign (unlike Pam's Deli Delight and their kitschy sign) is simply just that- a food eatery offering a brick ton of choices for bottled drinks and food to go. Their salad bar does seem larger with more selection though.
I had the chicken before and it's pretty cheap meat (all dark meat) but with sauce and rice (somewhat mushy), it was another forgettable downtown office worker lunch. They didn't give any side dishes or kimchi.
I just remember thinking the bottled water seemed pretty cheap though not as cheap as the free little styrofoam cups of water they offer.
If that's Korean food... maybe I'm not a fan of it. It was gross. The salad bar is ok I guess... Probably not coming back unless desperate...
I haven't written a review for either location of Pam's Deli but the original one that is at the Arco Plaza. I typically order the turkey club there and it's somehow excellent. I've been avoiding this place since it didn't seem to be the same. The look, the feel, the people, I understand it's a different location but one of my co-workers wanted to go here for one of the salads. I thought I would coming down here and check it out or go to one of the other places around here.
There was Korean BBQ in the back for take out, an open salad bar you pay by the weight, sandwiches made fresh. I looked over the menu and decided, why not, let's get another turkey club on wheat. No mayo, only mustard please. How can you fuck that, right? Well, you can't. My friend went to go make a Macy's credit card payment while they were making my sandwich. I was the only one in here as a few others started wandering in. Bacon takes a little bit of time to prepare and heat up, I understand that. But what I don't understand is that guy just got his sandwich and paid and left. A lady has done the same. Another guy walks up and orders a sandwich. I see mine in the making and his is done before mine by the same guy making my sandwich. What the fuck? Alright, I paid for mine since I'm standing in the front. Mine is finally finished as my friend returns. We bring it back to the office to eat.
It certainly looks like the turkey club I'm used to seeing, for $7.13, it better be. Bigger pickle spear and four giant triangles to eat. Now why is there mayo on this as the guy repeated it when he handed it to me. "No mayo, only mustard". Alright, not a problem, I take a byte and it's the dry-est sandwich on this side of town. Now how can that be if it's made fresh right in front of me? I would have to say it's the bread to start. I don't know, I think it was just a mistake coming in here. This plaza needs a face lift and better places to eat. Next time, it's going to be Carl's next door or Nazo's around the corner.
I've tried both the Korean food here and their salad bar. For someone who usually just walks around downtown LA to grab lunch. They're not bad. The korean food could be better, but it's alright. But my choice would be their salad bar. I've been to "Loose Leaf" near 5th and Hope, and all though they're pretty good, Pam's Deli is better for the fact that you can pack whatever vegetables you like on your plate, and you pay per pound on your vegetables. It's usually never really packed, but I advice to go before 1pm, otherwise all the fresh vegetables are gone, 12pm is usually the best, although all the seating is crowded.
