Review Highlights
If you are a connoisseur of fine pastries, then you will greatly appreciate the magnificent creations of this shop. If you're an average schmoe like I am, then you will stuff your face with the aforementioned delicious pastries until you are unable to move. The Chocolate Mint and Chocolate Caramel Cakes are both excellent, and the macaroons are exquisite.
Now wipe the corner of your mouth, you're making me sick.
My boyfriend felt the need to take me out cause I was miserable with a sore throat and a lost voice. I was craving something sweet, chocolate always makes me feel a bit happier. After a bit of walking, we passed by Pamplemousse.
I could barely speak but I was still drooling over their selection of cakes. They were all so very pretty and well crafted, they had to be tasty too! (Well, that doesn't really apply sometimes haha.) I ended up choosing a dark chocolate cake with chocolate custard (forgot the name :( ), and it was pure bliss. The cake itself was very rich and moist, the fork literally cut through it. I'm salivating just thinking about it right now.
I'll definitely be back...and eventually eat all of their cakes :D.
I used to come to this bakery in Redwood City after lunch for their French Macarons. They come in many different flavors and colors. The bakery is bright, immaculate and looks quite new.
I was introduced to this bakery and Macarons by a colleague. Since that introduction, I've gone back to this place just for the Macarons. My favorite flavors are Coffee, Hazelnut, Pistachio, Vanilla, Rum and Coconut. I've also had the Macrons at Miette, but I think this place is better.
A very nice bakery. They even have some decent beer here, try the La Fin Du Monde from Quebec. As a Canadian, I give it my full endorsement.
I didn't come here for beer though, that would be ridiculous. My girlfriend is a carb-o-holic, so we came for baked goods. She ended up getting a brie sandwich, which was quite good. It was served on their homemade baguette which was excellent. It didn't have the dried out crusty taste that is so typical of a Safeway baguette.
This is certainly no dive, it's very nice inside, the employees keep it spotless. We got to share a comfy corner couch as I got reacquainted with my Canadian beer drinking roots.
Next time, I'll have to try the desserts. The macaroons looked very enticing.
I really did want to like this place.
It fits in with my inner snob oh so well.
The sandwich I ordered wasn't all that flavorful, the roll was overtoasted so it flaked apart in little burnt sections & the meat was pretty scarce.
The macaroons were cute but they sort of reminded me of an oreo if only the oreos outsides were made of meringue & burned caramel.
Three stars because the place WAS cute & the people who worked there were really nice. Perhaps I'll go back another time and try something else.
When Satura Cakes blew off my order for a classic chocolate birthday cake to serve 30 adults, I turned to Pamplemousse on very short notice. I'm so pleased I did. They made a perfect cake that tasted superb -- rich moist chocolate cake, perfectly balanced layers of filling, and a rich ganache topped with sugar-dusted fresh berries andchocolate wands, with large dark choc flakes on the side. Everyone raved. It was the perfect center piece to our late night party. I'm going back at Thanksgiving for specialty Thanksgiving desserts and maybe a Grand Marnier infused chocolate cake for a smallish dinner party.
This place is one of my new favorites! I have yet to try anything that wasn't absolutely delicious. This is the first place I've found that actually makes french style macaroons in all different flavors (the pomplemousse and cassis are my favorites) and while I am a huge croissant snob, these are the best I've found outside of France!
I also recommend the sandwich with serrano ham, fig jam, and goats cheese and the smoked salmon sandwich! They're delicious! Everyone I've taken here has become addicted!
Plus the small staff is very friendly and the shop is very cute!
My favorite lunch spot!
Very very very cute and spacious with great service and French bistro treats and lots of great desserts (although somewhat pricey at $4-6 per serving).
I LOVE their quiches and soups! Quiches come with a small salad as do their sandwiches. I've had the roasted veggie sandwich and it was quite delicious. The walnut bread was super tasty.
Sometimes I'll get a half soup with French breakfast (half a baguette with butter and jam) and some freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. All of this for ~$8. I've never had a bad soup here.
This place is known for their macarons, but unfortunately I find them waaay too sweet. Maybe that's how all macarons are... too sweet and crumbly for me.
Their eclairs are wonderful.
Outside seating is nice, but sometimes it can be a little loud since it's right next to the street. Nothing unlike downtown Mountain View and sitting outside on Castro street.
If you are going to park, I recommend parking on Arguello street parallel to the Caltrain. It's $0.25/hr and only a block from Pamplemousse. All other parking areas are more expensive.
I come back every week!
Pampelmousse means grapefuit in French. I just learned that.
This review is only for the macarons. We tried pampelmousse (of course), pistachio and chocolate mint. They were small, the size of cocola's macarons. They were fragile on the outside and then the whole thing collapses in your mouth and it has the texture of the middle, like a sticky-ass smore. NOT something I expected. The flavors were ok. The pistachio is a little too green - someone got excited with the artificial flavoring. They had a lot of flavors - rose, cassis (isn't that something on a car? jk), amaretto, etc. Most variety I've seen. Only two stars for taste and texture - Bouchon (NY, Yountville, LV - in that order) has really just ruined me.
Service was great. But all metered parking (it's only 50 cents an hour, but still a pain to get the ticket from the machine when the steel keys are piping hot b/c it's 104 degrees outside). This place is hard to find too since the street makes a 90 degree turn if you overshoot it. They also have a lunch menu with croque monsieur.
Strawberry shortcake and apricot cake were good. Better than the macarons. The apricot cake came with an apricot macaron on top. Makes it more worth it since those are $1.75 each. Cakes are $5.95 each.
The Monday after the July 4th weekend, I took that day off. The kids were at daycamp, and after working out at our respective gyms, we went to have lunch at Alana's in Redwood City. Lunch was adequate, but I had that familiar urge some something sweet.
La Tartine was within walking distance, but we haven't checked out Pamplemousse. We arrived with all of the lunch crowd, and all of the tables in the cafe were taken. No problem, we're here to browse (so I thought).
Very spacious interior with 3 pastry display case. One case was filled with pastry items such as croissants, brioches, apple tarts/turnovers, cookies, breads, etc. The second case was filled with delectable looking desserts. Very colorful and nicely displayed.
The third case was filled with macarons. Yes, there are 35 varieties. I spent a long time looking at this case, studying the sign for each flavor, and trying to see if there anything visual that would distinguish each one. They were $1.95 for each, and you will get an extra one if you buy a dozen.
Should I? For an extra one? Good enough of an excuse to buy a dozen. We ended up buying these flavors: Amaretto, caramel, cassis, fig, key lime, mango, mocha, passionfruit, pistachio, raspberry, strawberry, Yuzu, chocolate mint, apricot, and some other ones that I can't remember.
The macarons were nicely boxed with a little bow on top. http://www.yelp.com/bi...
Inside the box: http://www.yelp.com/bi...
As of this writing, I was only able to try 4 flavors, and still working on the others. Nice, light butter cream filling sandwiched in between. Mocha had a slight mocha taste, and the caramel had a little hint of a caramel taste. Texture of the macarons were too light and delicate for my liking, and I like macarons to have a little more of a chewy texture, but overall, good.
Now that I've seen what's the inside looks like, I'll need to try this place out for lunch, and try some of their desserts.
Definitely more to come!
Okay I've never given a place 1 star but Mc Donalds apple pies beat this place's app;e turnover. I love pastries. I spent almost (shame on me) $4 dollars on an apple turnover and threw half in the trash. Why? The filling came out of a can and the dough left a coating on my mouth (not made with butter) and was tasteless. I should of returned it but that's too confrontational for me. So save your dinero $$ and test out another bakery. Personally I'll just stick with Vanilla Moon in San Carlos.
Mmmm. Pamplemousse was one of our final stops on my weekend of eating my way through the bay area.
First off, even if you don't plan to eat dessert, it's worth going just for the look of the desserts alone. Everything was absolutely gorgeous, it was a little unbelievable.
My aunt and I ordered the Pamplemousse dessert to share (candied grapefruit over vanilla bean grapefruit mousse with blackberry something in the middle, all over a cookie), and unfortunately, the process of even sticking the fork into it once pretty much destroyed its beauty, since the grapefruit didn't cut very easily and the mousse squished out... Anyway, the dessert was pretty good, but didn't have a very strong grapefruit flavor.
We also ordered four macarons (currant, chocolate mint, mayan chocolate, and coconut), and those were what really stood out to me. I haven't had all that many macarons... ever, really, but these were the best of the ones I've tried. The currant was our least favorite, not because of anything relating to the flavor itself really, it just wasn't very special or strong flavored. The coconut one was just lovely and light, and the mayan chocolate was rich with a kick of cinnamon.
Mmmm. Pamplemousse.
French Macaroons in 35 assorted flavors confirmed!!!
This was a special treat for the lady as she gave into temptation of ordering two dozens. http://www.yelp.com/bi... Each priced at $1.95 each with a buy one dozen and get one macaroon free, this was a great price. My favorites - the coffee and hazelnut. The grossest ones were the lavenders! I felt like I was eating a floral hand soap bar!
Service was outstanding as we were immediately greeted and given presentation on their entire assortment as well as the elegant selection of pastries. In turn, I gave into the dark chocolate with amaretto mousse cake completing my after lunch delight. http://www.yelp.com/bi...
Parking is hit or miss. Limited free parking in the area. We got lucky to park directly across the bakery on this weekday afternoon visit. Be prepared to find tough parking on the weekends.
Tips. If using debit card, be ready to include tip on your bill. This was a surprise to see on the transaction slip.
Aside from being a french bakery shop, this has a menu deli for sandwich orders and light meals for lunch.
I am a macaron fiend. Better said: I am a french macaron whore.
I greedily chose 26 macarons then indulged in some after eating enough strawberry shortcake for 4 children. It's officially now an obsession.
2 dozen macarons + 2 free and an extra peach one because the peach flavored macarons were a little on the runt-size. On this particular day, they had 24 flavors. They have some of the most interesting flavors: and yet, one to avoid: lavender vanilla. The mister questioned whether I gave him a bar of soap- it just tasted wayyy too much like flowers....*cough cough* hence the lavender. LOL.
I was working with 3 different textures when nomming these delectable treats! Crunch on the outside- chewy on the inside of the cookie part, but before getting to the creamy filling. And third the smoothness of the creamy filling. Except for the chocolate flavored macarons, the fillings were white in color, which wasn't any difference in taste, but something that caught my eye.
My favorites: Yuzu [japanese lemon], strawberry, mayan chocolate, orange blossom, key lime and coffee.
Carefully placing the remaining macarons in the box and tucking them nicely in the cooler to transport home to San Jose. I now know where to stock up on my kryptonite. Go to Redwood City!!
At $1.95 each, the macarons are average price. I do appreciate the selection, with everything from green tea to spicy chocolate to fig. I wish the fruity flavors had jam rather than buttercream in them. The macaron cookie part is pretty chewy and has a good texture.
It's a cute place on the corner of the dowtown area with a nice patio out front. Parking is 25 cents for 30 min Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, but sometimes it's hard to find spots (the new meters do take credit card). I believe they also sell alcohol, which is a plus.
It's a nice Friday afternoon or weekend treat, but getting there can be a pain in traffic.
Great pastries, awesome coffee & nice outdoor seating. Took a friend here who was from France & was impressed by the Macaroon selection. The food here is good too.
Sigh, I wish I didn't have to downgrade my rating, but I've been really disappointed by the macaroons in my recent visits. Maybe I just happen to pick the wrong flavors every time because they've all been stale and really hollow. I wouldn't mind if it was $.50 each, but at $1.75, I can't afford to buy them anymore.
On the other hand, I have been there for lunch a couple of times now and have always enjoyed it. I had the turkey, cranberry, brie sandwich one day and the quiche du jour the other. Both nice, light and tasty. I'll go back for brunch or lunch, but will avoid the macaroon display from here on out. :(

Mm, I've recently been smitten by the French Macaroon and have been in search for the most delicious… Read more »
The desserts here are definitely better than the sandwiches. Good reason why it's called Patisserie et Cafe, and not the other way around.
Still, the sandwiches are not bad; they're just not technically and culinarily as perfect and scrumptious as they should be for these prices. Maple ham is a definite faux pas, nay, a big americaine HELL NO, in a croque monsieur. That messed it all up for me. Had a bite of my newly christened wife's turkey-brie sandwich, with cranberry and cream cheese in it, and I found it a bit unfocused in flavors, watery, not great textures. The breads are nicely flattened panini-style, and covered with nicely oven-crisped and finely grated parmigiano reggiano. Charge me less, and I won't whine so much Mr. and Mrs. Pamplemousse!
The desserts though, were all quite good, almost as good as they look. Nice complex textures and flavors, only the occasional stale piece here and there. The coffee isn't bad, either. The decor is great, inside, too!
Outside, there are about a half dozen tables with nice big sun umbrellas, that nicely cover four people. Inside, there are about 4 tables. So not TONS of space, but I went on a Friday afternoon and had NO problem getting a seat at 1 or so.
This café is so cute. Love the pale pink high-back seating. If you have a dog, the outside area is perfect.
For breakfast, the Croque-Monsieur is a classic choice. Something about the ham tastes so good. The "French Breakfast" is simply a baguette with butter & jam - tres yummi.
For a sweet treat, the mango/passion fruit/coconut cake was pretty good. Not overly sugary.
As for the macarons, we tried mango, yuzu, and coconut. The mango tasted a little perfume-y, the yuzu was good, and the coconut was the best with a moist center.
SF Chronicle's Sunday Paper ignited a need for my sister and I to try these infamous macarons.
She ordered one each of pistachio, lime, grapefruit, coconut, chocolate and raspberry. We had a macaron tasting fest... along with the other's I bought from Patisserie Philippe in SF.
We didn't love these macarons because we felt the texture was not to our liking. Now, I don't know what real authentic traditional macarons are supposed to taste like, but I just didn't like these. They cracked when we bit into them, two of them were a bit stale and not fresh and we didn't have the desire to keep eating them... like some of our other favorite cookies. the flavors were good, but the texture and bite of the cookie is what threw us off.
So this review can only attest to the macarons. I might be back to try some of the other food. For now, my favorite still stands with Miette's pistachio
The French macaroons were yummy! I love how fluffy and fresh they were. I bought 12 pieces for $24 and had 1 free one for myself.
I ordered pistachio (wasn't fresh), mango, pamplemousse, caramel, raspberry, and yuzu. The mango isn't bad, but didn't have a strong flavor.
The person who put my order together was able to separate the macaroons into two containers so I could give them away as gifts.
The macaroons are definitely better when eaten fresh. However, they are still nice and sweet when a couple days old.
The macaron shells were hollow. bah.
The pistachio cake was awesome.
The smoked salmon was good, but not if you're really hungry as it isnt much.
Mmmmmmmmmmm. After a fun day at the dog park, my S.O., doggie, and I met some friends here for lunch. Huge points for having outdoor seating so our doggie could join us.
Based on another Yelper's review, I ordered the Turkey Brie, which was smoked turkey, brie, cranberry chutney on a crusty baguette, and fresh greens on the side. Was definitely a nice change of pace from the usual turkey sandwich I eat these days. The brie was the perfect temperature to blend well with the turkey and chutney, and all elements worked well together. The combination of crusty bread and soft ingredients was also a nice contrast.
But what I was really looking forward to were the macarons that everyone is raving about on Yelp. I had never had one before, so my first reaction is that they reminded me of mini whoopie pies -- two halves of cake-like substance with a frosting layer in between. The cake-like halves ended up being more like meringue. I was impressed by the selection, and I chose the Hazelnut one for myself. I'd say it was a good treat, but I honestly don't think it was worth the cold hard $2 that I had to pay for it.
This was a fun place to hang out with friends and the dog, and I look forward to visiting again. Will pass on the macaroon next time and may try one of the other decadent-looking desserts instead.
I'm only speaking on behalf of their macarons.
I thought I had to try these b/c of their raving reviews on yelp...but boy was I disappointed!!! I bought a dozen with the free macaron. They looked gorgeous from the window. The minute I got in the car, the filling inside started melting...and I couldn't wait till I got home to try them. I tried the hazelnut...it was ridiculously hard and the cookie was hallow and full of air, not to mention the filling was melting everywhere. I thought maybe only these we're hard, but when I got home, my husband tried the raspberry and it was hard too!!! All the cookies we're hard, hallow, and the filling was melting everywhere. The only one that I thought was ok was the lemon. It was chewy and more softer than the rest.
Clearly, these are not worth $2 a cookie...I rather go to Paulette's any day!!!
NEVER again...such a waste of $24 for 13 regular sized, extra crispy cookies!!
Went here yesterday for lunch. It was recommended by Lolia S. The menu is all nicely hand-written on chalkboards behind the counter. I ordered:
- Croque Monsieur ($6.95): Excellent, grilled panini with ham and emmental cheese. Also included a small side salad topped with tasty creamy herb vinaigrette
- Pamplemousse ($5.50): Had to order their signature dessert. It was vanilla bean grapefruit mousse on shortbread, topped with candied grapefruit, white and dark chocolate wafers.
One thing I noticed was all the customer facing staff and cliente were female. I was the only male customer there the whole time and for a split-second questioned my masculinity as the desserts can be described as exquisite, pretty, elegant, cute, delightful, etc. But all in all, the food was excellent, will be back to try their other sandwiches and desserts.
I went here with a girlfriend who was raving about the place for lunch and I have to say I was very impressed. It is a very cute place with handwritten chalkboard menus and friendly customer service.
I ordered the Salmon sandwich. It came on a baguette with creme frieche, cucumbers, shallots and lox. Really, really good. It came with a salad, but I didn't eat much of that because the greens were wilted.
For desert I had a couple of the macarons. BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWS. They are so good. I loved the chocolate mint and the vanilla.
Ok, So I recently have rediscovered this place and people may talk about the macaroons (have yet to try them) but I had to post a RAVE review about their croissants. By far, these are the best croissants I have come across in a LONG time. The Ham and cheese and chocolate ones are to die for. An amazing breakfast treat along with a nice 2-shot medium latte which they serve up.
The croissants are warm and fresh in the morning hours and have I said they are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I am not a HUGE fan!!!!!
I have been to this cafe twice and haven't been disappointed yet; they have fantastic coffee, inventive desserts, and friendly service. My only desire is for a more consistent bussing situation, there's nothing like trying to pick a table while trying to avoid someone else's leftover lunch bits. Redwood City has done so much to improve the downtown area and this place is a fantastic addition, check it out and support local business!
Lucked out and found street parking on Friday at 6pm, the desserts looked so beautiful but was told by the cashier that photos where not allowed of the desserts in the cases.
Ordered the beet and goat cheese salad, $9, excellent, freshly made and tons of beets, ham and cheese croissant, $6, looked old but tasted so good, buttery, flaky and flavorful meat and cheese, Lg OJ, $2.50, tasted freshly squeezed, Papplemousse dessert, $5, so so, looked beautiful but the chiffon was a bit rubbery, the cookie base was too hard to cut through, Macaroons: green tea and key lime were our faves, the raspberry could have been a tad tarter, the mayan chocolate and caramel were both good.
Great spot for lunch. Had a really delicious beet salad; serving size was humongous. It's really nice to sit out on the patio on a sunny day, though the passing cars can be a bit noisy.
All this, and I'm certain the desserts (which I didn't try) are even better...they certainly look ridiculously tasty!
Now there's one more reason to come here: caneles!
They usually run out by lunch time so you gotta come in early.

Turkey Brie Sandwich.
French macaroons.
Do you know where else you can find these two fine examples of… Read more »
After buying some unnecessary things (is there any other kind?) at the Cost Plus down the street, I stopped by here for a pick-me-up - a latte and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was a little too heavy and dense, not quite as buttery and flaky as a croissant should be. And the chocolate itself was a little waxy (i.e., not high quality dark chocolate). The coffee was alright, but nothing spectacular.
I hadn't been particularly impressed by my first outing, but my husband and I gave it another shot - we stopped for brunch before catching a matinee. We had the vegetable sandwich (roasted veggies, cheese, greens) and a breakfast croissant (eggs, cheese and more roasted veggies). I can't believe I'm saying this because I LOVE cheese, but both dishes had way, way too much of it, and the croissant had too much egg (like, 6? I couldn't finish it. And I'm a girl with an appetite). Also, the croissant had been flattened in a panini press! Now, I've not spent enough time in France to know how things are done there, but this much I do know - croissants shouldn't arrive with grill marks. The accompanying fresh squeezed juices were good (and sizeable).
So why 3 stars? The macaroons. Delicious. And while I haven't tried the the rest of the desserts, they look delicious too.
One word. AMAZING.
Of course this is strictly based on the macaroons because unfortunately when my friends and I got there it was almost 7.
The macaroons are delicious if a tad pricey ~$2 each. (Ok, so $2 doesn't sound like a lot, but heaven knows that you can't just get ONE. ^_~ They also have a special that if you buy 12, you get one free)
Recommended flavors: Yuzu (Japanese lemon), Pamplemousse (grapefruit?), Rose, Hazelnut
In addition, the green tea one is pretty good-- tastes just like green tea ice cream. :) My mom and little sister really liked the coffee one as well. My friend swears by the Mayan chocolate one (chocolate + cinnamon).
One flavor to AVOID is the orange blossom. It just did not taste very good.
Mmm...french macarons! They were all pretty good, but definitely not cheap at $2/each. I liked the cassis, yuzu, caramel, coffee, chocolate mint, lavender vanilla, and grapefruit. Bring a friend, split a dozen, and fight for the free 13th macaron. Spoil your dinner.
It's hard to remember which flavor is which since many of them look alike.
Minus one star because they didn't let me take any pictures of their beautiful macarons. I just wanted to test out my new 85mm f1.4 lens. boo. The lighting at my friend's apt wasn't that good and we had already eat a bunch in the car by the time we got up to SF. lol!
holy macaroons! they're delicious!

Okay. I must out myself first, I love macarons. I dream of Paris but I hate the travel for decent pastries. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, pastries and a clean place to work if the mood strikes, as they have wifi.
I think places like this are hard to find and we must celebrate that they are "brave" enough to be in the suburbs. That they try something new in old space. Redwood City is coming back. It's the new, cool Palo Alto. It's where you would have gone in down town Palo Alto before the Cheese Cake Factory, Borders et al moved into University.
This is why you go: basic well made food, nice selection of pastries and a place you could get away and work. It isn't as crazy busy and you can think if you go to a cafe to work. If you are looking to see and be seen, you will be an early adopter.
Enjoy the macarons. The flavors change all the time so go often.
I tried some French macaroons from Pamplemousse over the weekend when someone brought a box to a board game party. (Yes, nothing says dork-itude like a board game party.)
I'd heard a lot of good things about Pamplemousse so I had high hopes, but ultimately I thought the French macaroons were good but not amazing. Let it be known that this was my first time trying French macaroons so you can trust my opinion less.
I sampled a bunch of flavors though so I could give a complete report on Yelp (it's a hard job but someone's got to do it):
From best to worst:
Chocolate Hazelnut
Raspberry
---- (demarcation of a different French macaroon eschelon)
Chocolate Mint
Pumpkin
Chocolate
Vanilla
After seeing their website with all the pretty pictures of their pastries plus all the great yelp reviews, we had high hopes for this place. After recently trying Tartine, we wanted to see how this place measured up. I was surprised at first at how empty the cafe was when we first arrived. Since it was our first visit, we asked the lady working behind the counter to recommend some pastries. I should have taken a hint when she was unable to single out anything and instead gave generalities like "try anything with chocolate in it" which is kind of a useless statement when more than half of the pastries had chocolate.
We ordered a keylime and coconut macaroon which were the best things we ordered out of everything. They were light and cruncy and full of flavor. The blackberry frangipanne however was dense, tasteless, and 90% crust. While the passionfruit tart had a very strong tartness, it lacked texture. The chocolate grand marnier was decent but I was hoping for more flavor.
We paid about $21 for all this which would be ok if the pastries met our expectations, ie if it tastes as good as it looks. If we come back again, we're just going to order the macaroons and skip the pastries.
I have to lower my rating due to my recent visit. I purchased a variety of macarons. The first one I tried was so dry the cookie broke apart in a big mess. I tried another the next day and the creme filling tasted rancid, so I immediately spit it out. The cafe it self is very cute and clean. They have beautiful looking desserts and a large variety of macarons.

Macaroon heaven.
I made the mistake of ordering a half dozen "to share" and eat "for later" - Chocolate Earl Gray, Mayan Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, Chocolate... you get the idea, they were all chocolate. I don't think my friends would be interested in trying any of the 6 macaroons, of which each were missing a bite (or two). Next time, I'll make sure to differentiate the macaroons somehow or maybe to not order 6 brown ones. I have to say, I could've skipped the Mint and Mocha one, but I LOVED the Chocolate one.
Looking forward to trying their savory food!
