3 reviews for Palos Verdes Inn
When we first went up to our floor, I was really turned off. The carpet was old. The door numbers were different for a couple rooms. When we got to our room, the key was awkward to use and the carpet never felt clean. We had to walk with shoes on in the room. The internet was really patchy. The first time we called to ask if there was a password, they said it was down. The second time we called, they gave us a password that actually didn't work.
However, after staying a week, some of the quirky details of the Inn started to grow on me. It was just a five-minute walk to Redondo Beach. We got free gym passes to a local gym that was really friendly and nicely stocked. (reserving your room online gets complimentary gym passes). They also had rusty cruiser bikes for free that were pretty fun to ride around.
The staff also were very nice. They gave us beach towels to use. I even started liking carrying around an old school key. I probably also enjoyed it more because we didn't have to pay--we got reimbursed from an employer. I wouldn't stay there again if I had to pay myself.

Until the property is completely gutted and renovated stay away.

For the price it's alright but the room comes with thin walls (you can hear your neighbors talking) and a humugus room key that could pass as the City of Los Angeles Key. I think the place has potential if they decide to renovate and switch to card keys. Staff were super nice and the room was clean so they deserve 3 stars but next time I will try for another lodging.
