My Aunt wanted to meet here for lunch because she LOVES the maple marinated chicken breast salad. For some reason I didn't try hers because normally I would. It looked pretty delicious!

I had the rotisserie chicken pizza sans onions. Although I generally prefer a thick crust and this one was pretty thin I really liked it. The chicken was done really nicely, juicy and tender.

The third person in our group had the fish and chips & said it was really good. The breading on the fish was yummy & the chips were perfectly done.

Our waiter was super friendly & helpful - answered any questions and even had an extra chunk of blue cheese added to my Aunt's salad when she mentioned how much she loved that part of the salad.

The bread and dipping sauce they bring out while you wait for your food is also very good. Nice soft bread and the sauce has tomatoes and what tasted to me like olives.

They seemed a little pricey to me for lunch - $17 for a salad?? But overall worth it. Good food and a nice cozy atmosphere.

Every Black Friday my wife and I head into downtown Seattle to enjoy the festivities and the holiday atmosphere, and we have had lunch at the Palomino every time. (our self proclaimed tradition)

This place is great for lunch! This last Friday we had reservations (made online before we left) so we were seated quickly by a very friendly hostess. The atmosphere was busy and fun and very festive with sculptured glass lighting, murals and warm colors. A very cool and interesting looking place!
We were seated next to the railing that looks out over the galleria--open air part of the City Center. Great table! We love being next to the Galleria and window area. It's just cool to look out over all the people and decorations down below.

Our waiter delivered the bread with their tomato spread right after we sat. The tomato spread appears to be made with crushed tomatos, olive oil and feta cheese pieces. It's very good. The bread is as well. No overpowering spices to be seen.

My wife had the fish and chips and I had the hamburger. Pretty basic, but very good! Their hamburgers normally come medium well, so I ordered mine cooked no more than medium and it came that way! It was probably one of the best hamburgers I've had in a long while in Seattle. Even the bun tasted like it was made that morning! Probably not....but it tasted that good!  The fries are killer too. They're the shoestring type with a little coating, sprinkled.....I think, with parsley and salt. Not sure if garlic was on them, but either way they were crispy and tasty.  My wife loved her Fish and Chips too.  A huge portion with a pile of fries.   We were very happy with the food. It really set up the rest of the day with a good start.

Not sure about the corporate aspect, but who cares?! I think this place is alot of fun with a very classy, interesting and fun atmosphere! I know there are a few more locations, but that shouldn't make you less inclined to come here. I HAVE been to the Bellevue location though and I have to say,  the Seattle location wins hands down!

I haven't tried the Happy Hour yet, but that's next.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the waiter delivered our food and basically disappeared. Not a big deal, but our water glasses could have been filled and it would have been nice to have our food checked on.

So....If you plan on lunch downtown and are in the area, I highly recommend coming here....early!  You won't be disappointed!

It was around 7pm on a Friday night and Yelp mobile was failing me. I glanced out my hotel window and spotted Palomino's across the street. A quick check on Yelp turned up mixed reviews, but you can't beat across the street so I campaigned for Palomino's and won!

We called and got reservations for 7:30 (awesome since the place which was my first choice told me the first available reservation they had for a party of 3 would be 9:15) To say that my friends were apprehensive about this place would be an understatement. It didn't help that it was located in an office building in the open atrium/mall area. I didn't lose hope. I had a feeling that eventhough this place was a chain and I am not a fan of the LA location it wouldn't let us down.

Personally, I loved the ambiance of the dinning room. I ordered my dry Columbian Valley Reisling and the Steak Frites medium. I'm always weary to order my steaks medium because the arrive cooked through and I end up wishing I had ordered my meat medium rare instead. This steak came out perfect! It was char grilled on the outside and red on the inside. It was properly rested. There was almost zero bleeding on the plate. The meat was moist and tender due to the butter jus, and packed with flavors due to the lemon sea salt,  oregano and cracked black pepper marinade. I subsituted a ceasar salad for the frites. My salad was perfection! Cold and crunchy romaine hearts, with garlic-Parmesan croutons, and big shaved chunks of fresh parmesan.

My friends ordered off the specials menu and got Halibut and Ravioli. Both of their plates were just as outstanding and perfectlly executed as mine.

Our server was the opitomy of a top notch waiter. He was there when he needed to be and scarce otherwise. I never felt bothered by him. He was so stealth! He slid my steak knife into my place setting without making a scene or causing me the least bit of bother. He would stop by and refill our waters without finding it necessary to be overbearing by asking us how our food was or if we needed more wine. I love that because trust me if you're around and I need something I'm more than capable of asking you I don't need to be hounded and grilled.

After requesting a dessert menu and asking our server to answer a few questions for us about the featured desserts we opted to go for the Pistachio crusted Brie with the honey pomegranate glaze, apple slices and grapes from the appetizer/cheese menu instead.

At the end of our meal I felt the bill was fair, the food excellent and I didn't care that we had eaten at a chain! There's still so much on the menu that I want to try that I may have to swallow my pride and patronize the LA location I've learned to avoid.

I usually jump at the chance to come over here for lunch.  We used our promo $15 gift cards and were able to get a seat in the bar after the lunch rush.  Ordered the half iron grill turkey and chop salad and a half order of the gorgonzola fries to share.  I want to know why such an upscale restaurant uses "deli style" processed turkey in their iron grill sandwich.  This time, it didn't have bacon slices, but rather little bacon bits, on the sandwich.  Who does that?  It would have been better to take the sandwich off the menu if you ran out of bacon!!!  The gorgonzola fries were once again a hit.  I'll register my card, get my next $15, and hope that bacon slices will be back on that sandwich!

Went there for lunch today. I have been here before, their lunch menu is good. For the best value stick with the lunch combination. You can choose two of each of the following a salad, pasta, soup or 1/2 sandwich for about 13 bucks. They also have awesome looking pizza which I have not tried. We splurged today because we were given their reward cards which had $15 on them. I went for the seafood fettuccini which was good but if I would have had to pay the full price (17 bucks!) I would have been disappointed, but for $2.20 a girl can't complain!
If you are going for lunch please try to get there before 12pm after that the place is packed. Also if you are looking for a more intimate location this is not the place. Your sat closely to other tables and the noise level in there would certainly register on the decibel level. I love all their glass art and the window watching!

In short, a corporate cuisine and dining experience (picture an upscale Keg).

It was nice to meet up here at Palomino's with friends we hadn't seen in a few years, a bit of a reunion.

Inside the French bordello interior with ample pinks and violets, the music was rather loud, making conversation difficult .

While at least one person in our group oohed and awed at the complimentary bread and "salsa", saying he wished he knew how to make it, I thought it was nasty.  The bread was, of course, harsh full of rosemary.  And the salsa looked like squished tomatoes with a bit of basil thrown in along with some white chunks of something.

Waiter service was lackluster.  Ironically, the waiter exulted that he was glad that there were so many diners when we were there because it gave him "something to do" (he had been expecting a dead holiday weekend).  Well dude, if you need something to do, how about filling water and ice tea glasses without patrons begging.  And how about setting silver and dishes out for each person instead of dumping a tower of plates, napkins and silverware in one corner of the table and expecting us to do self-service?

Dishes our group ordered included Summer Ravioli, Brick Oven Roasted Fresh Salmon and a salad with a slab of tuna.  Also, two of the guys ordered a pasta and salad combo.  While I didn't hear any complaints about any of the entrées, I didn't hear any compliments either.

Myself, I ordered the "chicken under a brick."  I don't know what the "brick" was, but the waiter said that because it was a "safety" hazard, the brick doesn't actually come out to the table. The chicken (that didn't appear to have ever been underneath a brick) was actually quite good with a nice carmelized skin and pleasant sauce.  However, the aragula greens were mushy with diced tomatoes and some drippy dressing slopped over them.

The salad pretty much tasted the same as the salsa they served with the bread.  I could only eat about a quarter of the salad before my fortitude just gave out.

I've been to both the Bellevue and Seattle locations and I'm still not sure which place I prefer.

Last weekend, my friends and I went for happy hour on a Sunday afternoon. The food is really good and filling! My bf and I shared calamari and the mushroom/sausage pizza. Our friend ordered the clam dish which was SOOO good.

The service was pretty slow but our server didn't charge us for the extra sodas we ordered so that was nice of him. He probably realized how unattentive he was towards us. So we ordered two strawberry lemonades and two Cokes but he only charged us for one of each which was nice. The food's quite cheap too, all pizzas for $5 and other appetizers for about half off.

The location is great too but make sure to park in the right parking lot if you want to get validated. We parked at the Washington Athletic Club lot by mistake and got screwed over even though we tried getting validation from the restaurant. DON'T PARK THERE. Other than that, we had a great happy hour experience!

**Happy Hour review only**

After work today, the boy and I headed up to the third floor of the City Centre building (he works in here) for happy hour! We went the left side (bar) because the right side is the dinner area. It was packed and getting a table was just out of the question, but we were able to get a seat fine in the middle bar area (note: they have the actual bar with the bartender and then 3 long, sectioned tables in the middle as well as actual tables).

We ordered 3 dishes, which was actually too much food because the dishes are full-sized and not the typical small hh dishes so we had tons of leftovers. We got the gorgonzola potatoes (waffle fries w/ cheese) ($4.50), calamari with garlic aioli and marinara sauces ($6), and the mushroom & sausage pizza ($5) ~ all really delicious.

They have good drink specials ($4) and a list of 1/2 price appetizers from 4-6p and 9- close. Nice ambiance, good service and convenient location! I am definitely a fan of the happy hour here.

I went here for the first time for my 21st birthday.  I ordered a pasta dish with sausage (i forgot what it was called!) and it was really goood!  i was glad to hear that they do reservation and they hold off my table even though i was20 mins late and i had 5 people instead of 7.  That was really nice of them.  My waiter was pretty nice and and the ambiance was great too.  I love how they validate your parking too! So come here and walk around downtown without paying for parking! No time limit ;)

What a gem this place is! I have to say ... although Palomino isn't a one of a kind restaurant (there are a few scattered across the US) and although it's tucked way up in Rainier Square Plaza (where I almost never go) it was such a great dining experience!

Most importantly the food was delicious. One of our appetizers came with a salsa that had a slight hint of ginger in it. It was so fresh and so unique! My entree was a salmon dish which was cooked perfectly. I was there to have food with a few girlfriends and we each sampled each others plates. There wasn't anything that wasn't totally delicious. Even the wine, the mojitos and the desserts were a total hit at our table.

In addition to the tasty food, the service was impeccable. We had Noah as our sever. I highly recommend you ask for him when you book a table! He was polite, very doting and always ready to answer any questions about the food.

I will definitely be returning... and SOON!

PS - take advantage of their validated parking! It's great that you can park for free when you dine there as the restaurant is in an area where it's nearly impossible to find parking.

*** to be fair i ate here with my mother... while i felt the place annoyed the hell out of me as a fake-o pretentious joint with no substance, it may have been transference. ***

NOTE: This place survives on referrals from a hotel, and is waaaay overpriced for the food.

DECOR: Well-done, interesting lighting pleasing art.

FOOD:  Disappointing. Soup de jour was so bad I couldn't even finish it. The scallops and shrimp linguine was decent, but literally (they counted because my mom got the same thing) 3 shrimp and 3 scallops plopped on top of some pasta. I could have made the same thing without the trip downtown. Lame. Anyway, the berry martini was good but gave me a hangover. I just wasn't impressed with this place. The tip off that it was going to be bad was that the hotel guy at red lion recommended it. Sucks I didn't have time to check yelp because mom didn't call me till 6, when I was already on my way somewhere else. Oh well. Never going back.

Palominos in downtown Seattle is very nice for lunch.

Especially their combos where you get either a half of salad or soup and half of pasta or sandwich. Whatever the combination may be, all are pretty good.

I always get their club panini and rigatoni bolognese- I've had other items on the menu but these are my favorite.

I love the bread that comes standard to your meal, the tomato and basil rosemary mixture can be a meal in itself!

Service is pretty efficient there during lunch hour. I've come here in the evening a few times for a drink or two with large groups of friends and each time I've gone, never had trouble with seating arrangements- maybe I'm lucking out because this place gets busy in the dining room, we were in the lounge.

Love it here- pretty good service esp their server Eric!

I've been eating at this Palomino since I first discovered it in my college days. The fantastic happy hour food selection was perfect for those low-budget days, but remains just as good now! Their bar menu seems to have changed a bit, with a few of my favorites missing, but still offers plenty of other options. I've also eaten in the dining room a few times for lunch/dinner. One dish that stands out for me is the crab sandwich I had for lunch recently...really good, and a portion that was too big to finish.

The great news is that their happy hour is now all day Sun-Thurs, and the usual times on Fri/Sat. Blame it on the economy, but score for us! Their happy hour menu is great, from drafts to the selection of food. Everything from the 1/2 off appetizers to the $5 wafer thin pizzas are good.

OMG this place is SO fucking GOOD! The food is GREAT. I can't remember everything I tried but I will try:

clams appetizer
criss cross fries with some white sauce
artichoke and crab dip with some kind of pita bread
mushroom and sausage pizza
pancetta and tomato pizza

the pizzas were thin crust, sooo gooooddd. and the appetizers are seriously amazing. seriously. fucking amazing. especially that crab dip. everything i tried was just heavenly, i would try everything there if i could!!

anddd our bartender john was fucking amazing too. i loved all the drinks he made me, most of them were some kind of concoction of his own doing.. i asked him for something alcoholic but not too strong.. and he just knew what i wanted haha. and there were also the mojitos, the best mojitos i've ever had! that is, if you like sweet mojitos. but OMG! i am so in love with this place!!! i hear there is one in cali, i will have to try it!

45 minutes to showtime at the Paramount and where DO you go for a quick bite and cocktail? We went to Palomino, and while it is a trusty chain, I do wish we had found something unique in the square block surrounding the theater. Located on the third floor of City Centre, Palomino is always packed with downtown happy hour revelers.
We managed a bar table and ordered the Smoked Pork Belly, Asparagus with fried egg and feta, plus Cheese, Olives and Tomato Chutney. I had a White Cosmopolitan too, but sure could've used a glass of water with the salty selections. Never did...
Nothing was terrible, but nothing was delicious either. I suppose fast, decent and close is as good as it gets when you don't have a plan.

Note to waitress at Palomino:  It is 2009.  Women have jobs.  Women earn money.  Women have charge cards.  And, sometimes, yes, hard as this might for you to believe, women pick up the tab at a restaurant even when dining with a male companion.  So, maybe, just maybe, it might do you some good to actually take a look at the name on the charge card before just assuming it belongs to the male at the table and practically curtseying as you put the charge slip in front of him while gushing like a school kid expecting daddy's approval for getting an A on that spelling quiz.

Honestly, this is one of my pet peeves in the world.  I absolutely hate when a waitress (and it always seems to be females who do this) just assumes the male is paying and so focuses all her attention on him.  It has happened to me on more than one occasion before, but NEVER with the pomp and circumstance with which this waitress handed my charge card and charge slip to my friend tonight.  [I guess it should have been expected as this same waitress had for large parts of the night completely ignored us in favor of a table of four men who were sitting nearby and who directed her response to a question I had asked about the menu to my male companion.]  It is enough to ruin a whole meal for me.

The meal, to that point, had been fine.  It is a very comfortable atmosphere and the food is quite nice.  The bussers and other staff who helped serve us (and who I trust are getting a share of the much-better-than-she-deserved tip that I left) were all very friendly and pleasant and efficient and nonsexist.  That is why I am giving two stars instead of one.  But, I walked out of there angry enough that I won't be back.

For me, Palomino is place that offers pretty decent happy hour and I always order the same thing.  Either their happy hour red wine or a martini (vodka martini with a lemon twist)...and for food, my friends and I love the baked brie, artichoke and crab dip (so bad for you but soooooooo good!) and the cambozola cheese with a roasted garlic head.  I know there are better places for happy hour, but it's right in the heart of downtown and great for large groups.  Service is generally OK, but the last two times a young woman named Meredith served us in the bar area and she kind of had a bit of an attitude.  Just beware.

Nice granite table, fine service and a menu with a real range of options makes for solid dining. I had a top-notch thin crust sausage pizza but our party also had some excellent halibut and a salad. Wednesday night half-off bottles makes an impressive wine least more reasonable. Bread for the table comes with a Bruchetta-type topping that is a good idea but a bit bland. The happy hour would've made my pizza an even better deal. AND free parking if you park after 5PM (make sure to get validation). Recommended if you're done with work by 5PM or downtown for a show at 5th Ave or Paramount.

Been to Seattle a few times for business trips and only just discovered this in September.

After a long, hard day of work at the convention center to prep for a show, taking a seat at the Palomino bar during happy hour was a welcome relief. The place was always CRAZY slammed, but we managed to find a few chairs and get our orders on.

The "Incredible pepperoni" pizza  was mouth-watering, and great cold the next morning. The Brick oven fired taleggio and cambozola fondue with pear honey, apples, and pistachio crust blew my mind (and my diet - but was SO worth it). The grilled maple marinated chicken breast salad still haunts my dreams (in a good way). And I could never forget the amazing grilled forest mushrooms appetizer with mixed greens, walnuts, gorgonzola and garlic crostini. Whoa! Did my mind's waistline just expand?

The entire cocktail list made me swoon, but there are only so many drinks a person can have when they have to be up early the next morning for work.  That being said, I became a big fan of the pomegranate lemonade and the huckleberry margaritas!

Prices were reasonable, but don't expect a cheap night out. The location was really convenient, casual, and the glass blown lighting fixtures above made it feel more elegant (and less like Happy Hour). I'll definitely stop by next time I find myself in town.

I worked in the building for a few years. Walk by the vintage Chihulis and find yourself at a hip, crowded, fast-paced, well serviced and well fed bar. I like the appetizers. The drinks are a full pour. On the dinner or lunch side the food was great. The servers knew their stuff. They remember you. They know what's fresh.

Try their Scott's grill in Shoreline. Quiet, great food, great bar, great service.

Funny, I was reading the Palomino reviews and it didn't rate as high as I thought and then I realized I was reading the Bellevue review. But isn't tht often the case, you feel like it's always a wannabe when it's in Bellevue?

I came upon this place after wandering for 2 hours in downtown Seattle looking for a place to eat that did not close at 5pm or earlier!

We started off with the complimentary bread and salsa dip, which was amazing. I ordered the Clam Linguine, and it tasted very fresh. My boyfriend ordered Pepperoni pizza, which was very thin. My side Caesar salad had absolutely no taste to it, and my boyfriend thought I ordered just a plate of raw lettuce at first. Then when he saw the bill, he was shocked that it cost about $8. Haha!

I thought the food here was alright, but a bit overpriced. It wasn't an amazing meal, but just average.

I don't know about the main restaurant, but the cafe on the side is incredible.

I had the fettucini alfredo. I have had a lot of this type of dish in my life, but I have never had a plate of it that was this delicious. In fact, I'm drooling at my desk just thinking about it.

The portions are perfect. They are a bit smaller than you would get at a lesser restaurant for the same price, but I found it to be the exact amount I needed to fill me up with no leftovers.

The food is phenomenal, seating is not too bad - but don't bring a huge group with you, and the service was decent though they all seemed very frazzled.

My only negative critique is not so much a problem for most people, but was a little bit for me. Since this is a high end delicious restaurant downtown with an option for cheap eats, you get a huge crowd - a huge business crowd. I felt a little out of place with my cloth bag full of Pike Place Market goodies, flip flops, jeans, and a t-shirt with an awkwardly funny joke on it. I was definitely surrounded by people in suits with those little mini-phone blue tooth headset thingys in their ears.

In the end, I'm definitely going back. The food is worth having people in suits look at you funny.

Pro-tip: When  you get off the elevator, turn RIGHT to find the cheap cafe area. You'll see the menu on the wall with people behind a long counter. Otherwise, if you're dressed like me, the Maitre d' will look you up and down before politely asking if you perhaps wanted the cafe rather than the restaurant.

Next time you go there, go to the bar and tell the bartender (He has to be a male) you want a "Lavender Martinez." Now ladies order it up, men order it on the rocks.  You will love this drink, just make sure not to order too many.  The bartender will look at you strangely when you order this, but he will know exactly what your talking about.  Your order will be followed by him asking you how you knew about this drink... just wink and say you got it from yelp.  It sounds ridiculous but I promise you will love your drink and the bartender will be taking care of you the rest of the night for your local knowledge of their drink.  If your lucky you might even order it from the inventor himself.

I'm a happy hour expert, and here today I bestow upon the Palomino my BEST OVERALL HAPPY HOUR in the city award!!

There are other happy hours with more drink specials, and there are other happy hours with more food choices, (like pesos or the matador) but for overall quality and value, Palmino takes the cake.

Happy hour for 2.. 3 Awesome Pomegranite Mojitos each. (6 Total), A Mahgarheta flatbread pizza (SP), A Basil Prociuto (SP) flatbread Pizza, and Blue Cheese Garlic Waffle Fries =  $33.00!!!!! OMGWTF!?!??!?!

Any night of the week including weekends after 8:00 PM. Not 9, not 10 but 8???!?!!!

Just get there early on the weekends if you want a seat because I've been here three times on a Fri-Sat Night and not been able to get a table. Talk about a bummer.

Oh yeah, the main dining room and dinner menu ain't half bad either. The Chop Chop salad is the best in the city..

Delicious happy hour pizza and the usual drinks.  Highly competent bartenders and the usual complicated house martinis for five hundred dollars each.

This is not a place people go for food or drink.  It is a place where people catch food and drink on the way to something or on the way from something else.

It's happy hour.  Let us have a drink there to decompress after work and then leave.

Hey let's go to the mall or one of the theaters and we forgot to eat.  Let's go here.  It's in the mall.

The menu wasn't very intriguing to me.  Perhaps I'm becoming a difficult-to-please douche.  I don't eat at the Olive Garden either.

It just isn't a comfortable place.  It's a large open noisy place covered with stone and bustling people.  If you feel at home in a crowd or in a catering kitchen, you'll feel at home here.

Yum...
I had the combo with the chicken panini and chop chop for lunch and it was yummy.  We luckily arrive prior to the lunch rush.  The line to order at the cafe kept growing and the tables went quick.  You can skip the line if you dine at the bar.  The sandwich was full of flavor and the chicken was very tender.  The dijon along with the cheese while being pressed brought all the flavors together.  The chop chop salad is now one of my favorite salads.  the balance of the acidity of the vinaigrette with the creamy cheese crumbles gave it a smooth flavor.  the garbanzo beans give it the crunch to make it a great salad.  I had it with out the salami which I think makes it lighter and fresher compared to what my friend had.  Anyways, with it being less that $10 and that they serve you at the table, i'm sure to be back to try more.  I may have to try their dinner to see they can earn that 5th star.

Go on one side it costs more than the other for the same thing... whatevers

My citrus salad was delish... the bread is good too...

The pasta with meat sauce had a lil spice to it....

The chopped salad (cobb?) when split was enough for the in-laws...

Nice bar area with plenty of natural light... I could sit here and people watch or enjoy the silence...

Their Happy Hour is pretty good and great prices.  I really enjoyed the pizza and this little ball of heaven consisting of some sort of cheese and pears.  I would definitely go again but the Happy Hour testing must go on.  I still have a few more places in Bellevue to try.

Second visit, same take on the food.  I tried a few bites of the four cheese pasta (grown up mac n cheese) and it was pretty good.  I had the chicken/maple/blue cheese/pecan salad and it was like dessert and dinner in one.  Certainly not for folks who aren't into sweet food, it was a bit overwhelming, but tasty.  I ate most of it and didn't even crave dessert - score!
The service was considerably more absentee this time around but we still had a good time.

This is me and my boyfriend's permanent date spot. When I think of great food and a beautiful atmosphere, this is the first place I think of. I love the service and the awesome bread and tomato dip that they give you as an appetizer. Try it, its amazing :)

I have been eating at Palomino for over 6 years and it remains one of my favorite restaurants.

I recently look a friend of mine visiting from France to Palomino for dinner because I knew the food and service would be topnotch. The food was excellent, especially the appetizer (pork belly with lamb sausage and fingerling potatoes), and the portions very generous. Unfortunately the portions were so large we had to skip dessert, Palomino makes an spectacular tiramisu. The server was AMAZING! He provided attentive, but not overbearing, service. The front desk was warm and welcoming and when leaving asked about our dinner and told us to have a great evening.

I would highly recommend Palomino to anyone, make sure you make reservations thought! This place is popular and busy!

We decided that Palomino was a great place to go for dinner on the way to the cinema.  The dishes were nice, the atmosphere nice and the waiters were friendly.  I enjoyed my food overall, but I just felt that the place was... average.  There was nothing truly exceptional about it, whether it be the specialty dishes or the drinks served.  Some places have great drinks; some great service; others great atmosphere.  This one had... well... nothing really.

I very nearly gave it two stars as the food took a while to come out, but to their credit they made sure we had enough entree's to keep us happy.

Good smells?  Check.
Good drinks?  Check.
Good happy hour?  Check.

We walked into Palomino b/c we both wanted big ole tasty salads.  And we got 'em.  And then some.
Service was good, fairly quick, food tasty.

The only downfall is that it's a bit of a scene.

HH is the way to go, it's late at night and really sexy.

Seriously, the sexiest HH in town in my humble opinion.. I always feel in the mooooddd after late night HH at this establishment.

Maybe because of the appletinis or the salmon bruchetta.

Maybe because I have fond memories of hawt dates here throughout college that resulted in getting at least a decent piece o' tail later on...

Maybe because the service is always prompt and attentive.

Maybe because you can have escalator races after hours in the US Bank building..

Who knows?
Go there.

My review is for happy hour, never been for anything else.

Palomino has my favorite and I think the most easily accessibly happy hour Downtown (for me at least). Appetizers are all $5. Pizzas are good. Crab and artichoke dip is delicious. Cheesy fries are so bad they're good. Draft beers are only $3 or $4 I think. House mojito is something like $3 and pretty good.

The only weird things are that the location is odd inside the building and sometimes it's very hard to find room to sit (happy hour is just in the bar area).

So I suggest playing some hooky, cutting out of work early, and sharing a table full of deliciousness with your pals.

I came here for happy hour, got a $4 pomegrante margarita and a $5 mushroom-sausage pizza. My friend got the same margarita and some gorgonzola fries. Everything was delicious, a $9 well-spent and have plenty of pizza leftover. Yummy thin-crust, the mushrooms on the pizza were marinated in something amazing and yeah, I would definitely come here again!

I really like going to the rotisseria/lunch counter. It's centrally located downtown, you get table service (but order at the counter) and the prices are reasonable. Not going to blow you away, but it's a good alternative to your average sandwich shop. Pizzas, soups, flavorful sandwiches - that's pretty much the menu here. Doesn't change a whole lot, so I'd get bored if I came here often, but I don't, so that doesn't bother me.

I always make sure to get here by 11:30 or 11:45, because the line gets long by noon.

The main restaurant is alright, but I think it's a little overpriced and boring, so I haven't been back in a while. I still give the lunch counter 4 stars.
