My family and I ate here on my Mom's first visit out to Seattle. We heard fantastic reviews and she happened to be here during Seattle Restaurant week so we went! Oh my goodness. Divinity! I had the Macadamia Nut Chicken-I will forever be a follower of this restaurant as long as they continue serving this dish. I can't say enough good things about it. Every bite delivered a perfect pairing of flavors.

Service is fantastic. The views are stunning. It is great if you bring your kids because their is a beautiful (and safe) river/pond running through the interior of the restaurant. So fun.

If you are celebrating something special, or just looking for an amazing meal, go here! Now!

    This place has it all.

Location, Ambiance, Fantastic Food, Great Service, Breathtaking View. Soft Piano Music

I am not sure how they manage to make the chicken taste so good but it is melt in your mouth delicious.  The bread is always served fresh and when you slice into it the steam flows from it as if it came out of the oven just seconds ago. The bread has a light fluffy texture and is crazy good.

This restaurant is pretty fancy in my opinion, but you do see some people dressed casual.

Palisade is always full, but the service is efficient and although at tomes the servers may seem rushed, they tend to do their very best not to show it and take ample time at each table.

Great place for special occasion, business dinners, or birthday parties.

Prices are high, but worth every penny.

Nothing to brag about. It's purely simple foods that they offer on the menu and
for the price for each item is ridiculously over price. Service that we got was not perfect at all either. Attentiveness of waiter was not there at all. I would not go back.
BTW, my waiter forgot to bring us bread, found out later..

It was aightttt. Nothing to write home about. The japanese oysters was delicious, but the rest of the meal was meh. Service was a 5. People are vastly over rating this place, if they are giving it 5 stars for the food. You're essentially paying for the view.

What I observed from the clientele: Guy having dinner with his wife with an iPad setup in front of his dinner plate. Lame dude with a fine girl obviously trying to show her what a boss he was. Families there for a bday dinner. Also a Guy proposed to a girl at this restaurant while I was there (really? this weakass restaurant?).

I had one of the most amazing dates here. The ONLY thing that could make this place better is if they had sharks in those ponds!

My boyfriend and I celebrated NYE 2012 here. We got a perfect table- we sat side by side in a booth facing the Space Needle. It couldn't have been more perfect.

    Food:
We both went with the New Years Eve menu. Which came with either prawns or oysters for 1st course, then soup or salad for 2nd course.... then you got your main entree. I wasn't that big on the prawns- although you do get a large portion. My boyfriend got the soup and it was sooooo good. I have never had smoked salmon bisque- but this was AMAZING. I went with the salad, and it was delicious- perfectly dressed. No disappointments.
    Our entrees:
Kobe Steak & King Crab: Steak was cooked perfectly, medium. The crab... eh. I wouldn't order it again. The legs came sliced down the middle, making it hard to get whole chunks, plus it made the crab cold quick. Looking back I should of ordered it whole, cracked. The side veggies were realllly good.

Sirloin & Maine Lobster Tail: This was the first time my boyfriend had lobster, and he was in heaven. He LOVED it, like he still talks about it. I had one small bite, and it was DAMN good. Best lobster I have ever had.

    Service:
Our waitress was awesome, she was really on top of things and didn't miss a beat. Even the servers who brought water over and cleaned up tables were in a great mood. They handed out a free glass of champagne to toast at 12am and party favors!

    Seating:
This was the best part of our entire dinner. We sat in what must of been the best table in the house. We had a perfect view of the 12am fireworks happening at the Space Needle. When the clock hit 12, we sipped champagne and enjoyed the view.

Yes, its pricey, and yes our bank account took a hit- but soooooo worth it. I would highly recommend Palisade for any special occasion, but NYE is a must!!! We can't wait to come back next year!

Skip John Howie's (serious ageism problems there!), forget about Canlis (they need to work a little harder to stay top dog), don't settle with The Met (i mean you could...)- Palisade is officially one of my favorite restaurants ever!

I'm not a huge fan of the other Restaurant Unlimited shops (Palominos, Stanford), but Palisade has always been excellent for me.  The food is consistently great (and sometimes fantastic), and the view from the marina is alone worth a visit.

    -The pupu platters are fun.
-All the salmon dishes are cooked properly and balanced in flavor.
-The steaks are also surprisingly good, especially the prime rib.
-If you have a special occasion, I would recommend the brunch buffet.

For those with babies, this is a good place to enjoy a really nice meal with your family.  They are very accommodating to children (for example, bringing kids food first and at a reasonable temperature for young children to eat).

Back story: We went here for an early NYE's dinner

Service: Great servers, hostess, etc... Very nice and patient. They made sure we were okay and left us to our meals. I am assuming she was a manager or owner who walked around from table to table to chat with everyone and offer to take pictures and wish us a Happy New Year. I thought that was a nice touch.

Food: I loved the seafood here. Oysters, lobster, king crab, prawns, salmon bisque. Yum! But we weren't too big a fan of the red meats. Mine was burnt for a medium well and was covered in a sauce so I couldn't see the burnt until I bit into it. My bf's red meat was soft (well done) but lacking on the flavor. We should have asked for some steak sauce or something.

Ambiance: The restaurant is beautiful and very unique with their bridge over water. Also, the view was beautiful. We could see the Space Needle and plenty of boats.

this place is 5 stars all the way. i've been here twice now and i always look forward to the service and the food.

i first came here to celebrate an anniversary with my boyfriend. to this day (3.5 years later) it's still my favorite dining out experience with him. the service is impeccable. i never had to ask for more water or to have my wine filled. also, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in picking both wine and dinner. my first glass of bubbly came and i didn't really enjoy it. the waiter didn't bat an eye at this and promptly brought me something different. i'm not the type to send things back even if i'm not a huge fan so this really made me feel good about the experience - not to mention the second glass was delicioso!

i'm a big steak girl so i went for the filet. to me there's nothing better than a lean, thick juicy cut of meat. the second time i came my steak was greatly over cooked. which happens. immediately the waiter ran off... literally, slow paced run into the kitchen, a few minutes later returned with the manager to apologize. a few minutes after that the manager returned with my perfectly cooked steak and let me know they were so sorry and it was on the house. not an ideal situation to have, but they sure dealt with it properly. its these kinds of things that make ALL the difference in the world! i also really enjoyed the alaskan king crab legs. so sweet, tender, buttery and delicious. i'm not a big seafood fan and these were seriously good eats!

this is a spendy experience but it's worth every penny. nothing beats good food, service, and ambiance. i can't wait for my next excuse to eat here!

This is probably my favorite Seattle restaurant. The valet parking is very convenient. Seating can be a bit slow, even with reservations, but otherwise the service is generally very good. They have the best cocktails I've ever tried--creative, attractive, and delicious! The food has always been very good, and the menu offers a nice variety. What probably makes this restaurant stand out more than anything else though is the decor and the view. I am endlessly fascinated by the indoor saltwater pool, and the view of Elliott Bay is really outstanding. Also, if you make reservations for a special occasion and let them know, they will always offer something extra, such as flower petals on the table and a complimentary dessert.

    Good stuff! Tasty seafood.

Seafood iceberg lettuce wedge was a nice tasty bargain with heap of shrimp, dungeness crab meat, and cold smoked salmon on the side. Iced tea was fruit flavored and they provided me simple syrup on the side (come on folks let's bring sweat tea to Seattle).

Service was exceptional when I went for Monday dinner.

Tons of parking in the Elliott Bay Marina.

Palisade is one of my absolute favourite restaurants. When I lived nearby, we made it a habit to splurge at least once or twice a month. Now, whenever I make it to Seattle, I ALWAYS stop to enjoy a meal or drinks at Palisade!

It has a very classy & romantic ambiance. They have a salt water lagoon with starfish, lobsters, & these long, beautiful eel like creatures. It flows from the front door down toward the amazing view of the bay with a little bridge over portions of it. One of the best spots to enjoy a meal is seated right next to the lagoon which is also high enough to see the amazing view of the bay. If you tell them it's a special occasion, they'll have a custom note to celebrate your occasion complete with rose petals on the table (if they apply).

The wait staff is top notch. Everything is done by memory with no mistakes. They provide every need without being in your face or intrusive. You are treated with the utmost respect but they are also friendly & approachable.

The food is AMAZING!! I hated seafood with a passion. That is, until I had Palisade's crab cakes, and then their shrimp, and then, and then! The desserts are scrumptious! Their port is delicious, & their wine selection is excellent! And their tropical colada is to die for! I can't say enough about the quality & taste of their food.

This place is so top of the line that I will travel across the country to eat there.

Years ago, I loved going to lunch or dinner at Palisade (their brunch never turned my crank, it was just okay). Their crab cakes were the best I'd ever tasted, and I never left without splitting the Creme Brulee Trio with someone. But the dinner I had recently was a profound disappointment. Our waiter was trying way too hard, as if he were trying to sell us a used car. The prices had definitely gone WAY up, which I expected, but I was hoping the food would be at least as good as it used to be, if not better. But no.

My crab cakes were studded with something green that was never there in the old days, and they had an unwanted, spicy heat that overpowered the sweet crab. Edible, but not worth $32. For the first time in my life, I actually left uneaten crab on my plate! It would have helped if they hadn't been so stingy with the plum sauce, and if our waiter hadn't disappeared, I would have asked for more. The accompanying salad was horribly bitter, like some plant you'd grow to repel slugs or something. But the one saving grace was the tasty succotash. It didn't sound good when I read it on the menu, but it bore no resemblance to the succotash I was forced to eat in my youth. I didn't even miss the scalloped potatoes that used to accompany the crab cakes.

I skipped dessert, but my friends were very happy with their creme brulee. I'll forget about this meal, and just try to remember how good Palisade used to be.

This is an update for brunch,

the service and everything is still great, and the brunch buffet is still amazing, and plenty stocked with delicious pastries and a ton of crab legs and lobster claws.

however, since the last time i was here for brunch, they changed their french toast; they took off the crunchy caramelized almond topping, which before, made it the best french toast i've ever had. But now, without it. its only mediocre.

so minus 1 star for taking something which was a home run, and making it less great.

:( give me the old french toast!

So walking up to the entrance I was taken back by the beauty---and the lion statues!

So the deal is, if you order an item from the menu the (small sides/appetizer) buffet is only $2.  Not bad.  Except there really isn't much food on the buffet except for sweets and carbs, no seafood or anything that much of substance.

The service is good, our waiter was nice, the view was a pretty sweet view of the marina.

I think what would have made it phenomenal would have been a better menu + buffet.  Not a bad idea to try though and they totally advertise their bloody marys, and it seemed like everyone had one on their table!

Good parking, but a bit hard to find place.  Do try it on a Sunday with the family!

I came here with my parents for lunch for Dine Around Seattle, and overall, I think we all enjoyed our lunch.  In contrast to the first time I was here for a Restaurant Week lunch when the lunch menu was similar to the dinner menu, this time, it was really just sandwiches, soups, and salads.  I had the salmon appetizer and salmon sandwich, and I felt that both were a good mix of different flavors and textures in a really tasty way.  My big disappointment was the dessert - the bread pudding was way too sweet for me and my mother's kiwi-lime sorbet was really my thing either.  I would go back for a Dine Around Seattle/Restaurant Week promotion, but only if the menu looked worthwhile.

Grub.  Pretty good happy hour menu.  Nice view of marina and downtown.  We arrived at last call for happy hour, so we just ordered one of each, except the fish & chips and pupu platter.

BEEF SLIDERS - good lil burgers
    FILET BITES - awesome!!
    LEMONGRASS CALAMARI - tasty
CHICKEN SATAY/LETTUCE WRAPS - better as lettuce wraps
POKE TACOS - interesting, but nah
PULLED PORK SLIDERS - very good
    SEAFOOD DEVILED EGGS - different.

Monkey will return for the view and filet bites, for sure!

I've had a very long relationship with this restaurant - way back before Yelp even existed! I picked out this restaurant for a dinner for a senior prom, have celebrated family and holiday celebrations here, and now it's a place that my husband and I enjoy when we want a nice night out. Service is always spectacular, the view is amazing, and I've never had a bad dish here. Ever.

Tonight was no different when we popped in for dinner without a reservation. We were seated right away, and started with the golden beet salad on special, tiger prawns for me, and the steelhead for my husband. All were excellent dishes - well seasoned and well executed. The regular menu doesn't deviate much (I've seen the same dishes more or less on it for the past seven years), but I have never found it boring. Seasonal specials are always well executed, even when I'm skeptical on the flavor combinations (Plum butter with soba noodles??? Who knew it'd work together?) Cocktails are also excellent here - I told the waiter that I wanted something with peppermint in it - and he brought me a fantastic grasshopper. And my husband has had a well made mint julep here and he can attest that it's extremely difficult to find a bartender who is willing to do one - and do it correctly.

While the food tonight was great, dessert here was what really stole the show. Now I've had a few of the desserts on the menu: The spiced banana sundae, the creme brulee, the cakes, and the sorbets, and they are all really good. But this pineapple bread pudding was one of the best desserts I've had. It was sweet yet light, rich with caramel sauce but balanced with the garnish of diced kiwi and pineapple. Perfect.

I've been here for many celebrations and for no reason at all, and every time it's fantastic. Definitely one of the best meals (And views!) you can get in the Seattle area.

I have been here twice, Both times with my girlfriend. (Only one of those times were we actually official) One time was Valentine's day and the other was a special occasion for the two of us. Both times I included special instructions to the host and they followed them to the letter. One of them included writing a special message on a card and placing it on the table. The text was in another language, and they even called me and spent quite a bit of time on the phone making sure the spelling was correct. It would seem that the staff, as well as myself just wanted the night to be perfect.

Food is fairly expensive but that is more then okay, considering it was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and complimentary valet parking means no door dings on my car.

Keep up the good work, and I will keep coming back.

Assuming you're not on a budget, this place is delicious.  Everything I had was top notch and very very good.

We started with the oven roasted crab and lobster dip.  Omg amazing - I will eat that every time I go for sure.  They serve it with pieces of french bread and it is just fantastic!

    I had a Caesar salad - tasty.

And for my entree I had the crab cakes.  They were fantastic - top notch crab cakes!

Really - it was all good.  The wine was great too.  It is extremely expensive, but if that's what you are looking for then this is the right place.  Plus the view was amazing as well.

I wanted to treat my girlfriend to an anniversary dinner at a dressy place (coat check was a must) that served seafood.

Palisade is a little tucked away, so I took a few wrong turns getting there, but it was well worth the journey. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The saltwater pond or whatever you call it was incredible. I checked my coat and we selected a seat by the window, overlooking the Sound and the lights of Seattle.

The food was pricey, as was to be expected, but it was absolutely delicious and came in the perfect amounts. Not too much food, and so little that you felt like you were being cheated.

All in all, it was a perfect date and a romantic evening. I definitely plan on coming back with my girlfriend for our next anniversary!

A great restaurant with a beautiful ambiance, fresh seafood, and wonderful service. Despite it being away from downtown, it provides a nice view of Elliott Bay. The koi pond running through the restaurant gives it soothing, elegant feel. And the menu has a Hawaiian/Asian fusion feel to it. Being from Hawaii, it reminds me of the John Dominis restaurant that recently closed.

The seafood is actually worth the price you are paying for. Being a fresh fish fan myself, I ordered the Ahi (yellowfin tuna) and it was great. It doesn't have a fishy taste or smell and it's not dry like at other restaurants in the area. Their menu states that they fly their tuna in from Hawaii daily. Debatable, but it's very good.

A great place to take a date, especially if they are big seafood fans. I've also been told to try the halibut cheeks and the crab cakes as well. The Asian fusion twist to the menu makes it unique from the other seafood restaurants on the Seattle waterfront.

Not as amazing as my first experience but still great. Same wonderful service and ambiance.

We shared the seafood boil, calamari, deviled eggs and pineapple upside down cake. Nothing really stood out and the seafood boil was boring and lacked flavor. The cake was good but not that good, and I would've appreciated a better dessert selection. The deviled eggs were decent but not as good as John Howie's. Calamari was chewy and nothing spectacular.

Next time I am going to order some steak!

Beautiful views! This is where I'll be bringing out of town guests next time for dinner.

I came for lunch and had their $15 3-course lunch special. The salad was tasty and so were the crab sandwiches. I was also impressed by their chocolate cake. All were nicely presented, and overall, a great deal for the price.

Service was good and what you would expect for this type of restaurant. The decor was also nice, with a bridge and flowing water in the middle of the restaurant. Parking is ample in the lot in front and free, although be careful of the signs indicating where you should park or you may get ticketed.

Lastly, if you're following a GPS or online map system, it can be a bit confusing to get there. Once you're on the Magnolia bridge before the uphill incline, take the little exit on the right following the signs to the marina. I made the mistake of continuing over the bridge, but despite the 3 mile detour, enjoyed the nice scenic views on Magnolia Bluffs.

My mom was in town visiting and I was looking for a new place to check out for myself and a place that would "wow" her with both a great view and excellent food.  The view was definitely amazing - we had a window seat which looked directly across the Sound to downtown Seattle.   Unfortunately, that's about it for the pluses on this place.

NONE of the dishes were very good.  We had an app of lobster and crab dip which tasted very mayonnaise-y.  The main dishes of a seafood boil and crab stuffed prawns weren't much better, both were very bland and just kind of "eh".

We also had to wait quite a long time for our food (about 40 minutes from the time we ordered).  Our waiter told us "it's pretty busy here today so the kitchen is backed up a bit" to which I said "no problem" but was thinking "are you kidding? It's prime time on a Saturday night, you didn't know it was going to be busy and staff accordingly?".

To top it all off, this place was way overpriced for the quality of the food. $50 for the seafood boil?!  That'd be fine if it was actually good but it wasn't.

All in all, if you're looking for a place to grab a drink or two and have a great view I'd check this place out.  Otherwise, you're better off staying away.

Palisade consistently delivers an excellent dining experience. The views and ambiance are very appealing. The restaurant still feels fresh to me despite the many years and visits here.

The servers and staff are always on a high level.

While it is not a gourmet's destination, the dishes are creative but simply prepared, not overpowering the fresh seafood. For example our planked salmon was lightly seasoned, my Halibut came with a macadamia nut crust, both were delicious.

The wine list is impressive and the wine steward extremely helpful.

We usually come here about once a year for some reason or another.  Every time we walk in and across the bridge to a table, I am impressed with the relaxing atmosphere.  The view is unique for a Seattle restaurant, distant vista of West Seattle, with ferries and other marine traffic criss-crossing Puget Sound.  Downtown Seattle is off to the left and a small marina is just below the seating area.

Last night (and I think as usual) we started out with the pupu tower, a tasty assortment of crab cakes, teriyaki grilled steak, and prawns.  Then to be difficult I ordered the Ahi Lover's Pupu Tower as an entree--flattened out on a large rectangular plate.  This was a combination of seared ahi (like butta!), ahi poki, and little mini ahi "tostadas" on deep fried round wonton wrappers.  This was a great choice!  We've gotta start thinking up some reasons to come here more often!

I ate here for brunch a few weeks ago with my family and received one of the worst meals I've been served in my life.

I cannot eat meat or dairy, so this restaurant would never have been my first choice for dining out.  It was my Aunt's birthday, however, and since I can always find something to eat (I mean really - I eat anything that grows!) I thought I'd leave happy.  I told the waiter about my dietary restrictions, mentioned that I have a deep love for green veggies and poached eggs, and told him the chef could get creative.  I didn't expect the best meal ever, but at a place like this and for the price they ask I certainly expected more than this:

A plate of luke-warm steamed snow peas and asparagus, sitting in a puddle of their own steaming water, topped with two completely undercooked (whites were still translucent!) poached eggs.  On top of that, nothing was even seasoned.  Not with garlic or lemon, not with fresh herbs, not even with salt and pepper.  And for that they charged $30.  I sent back the eggs because it would have been unsafe for me to eat them, and requested a couple scrambled eggs in their place.  They arrived a few minutes later, also with zero seasoning.

The entire meal was bland, uninspired, and frankly disrespectful to both myself and the food.  The chef could have saved himself some time by sending out a white plate with "SCREW YOU" written in ketchup.

If you're thinking that the chef was stymied by my special diet request, please know that my Aunt (the birthday girl!) ordered from off the menu and the meat she received was also severely undercooked and had to be sent back TWICE.  Several others at the table had similar issues with their food being undercooked, and one person who ordered the eggs benedict was given a plate sauced with about one teaspoon of hollandaise.

Went there for prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner. AMAZING salad and soup, the entree was just "ok"--typical Thanksgiving fare. However, we will be back to sample their regular menu because of the views, ambience, and service.

Visited Palisade on a Monday night during Restaurant Week festivities earlier this month. Had a little trouble locating the place initially- use your GPS and maybe even google-map it in advance, cause if you miss that one slight right off of magnolia bridge you're screwed. Of course, we missed the turn and spent the next 10 or so minutes getting re-oriented, because there is no other way to get to West Marina Place.

Once arriving at Palisade, noticed the large fairly full parking lot and complimentary valet sign (nice touch). Outside of the restaurant is nondescript, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Once inside, I was really impressed! The decor of this restaurant is AMAZING. Think koi river snaking around the hostess and eating area, bridges over said koi river to a multi-level eating area with unparalleled views of Seattle over the water. Definitely an asian inspired feel, with rattan chairs and a lot of blown glass hanging from the high ceilings. Anyway, the decor was 5 stars all the way for me. The boyfriend felt under-dressed and a little intimidated by the fine dining atmosphere, but I saw plenty of polos and even a few t-shirts; this is not necessarily a suit and tie kind of place. On to service.

I made reservations a couple weeks ago at Palisade after checking yelp reviews on several restaurants participating in Restaurant Week. Expected to possibly get a snippy server when I didn't order from the super expensive menu and chose the special Restaurant Week menu instead, but that was not the case. Not only were we seated immediately and able to choose where we wanted to sit in the approximately half full restaurant, but our server was really helpful in making choices from the menu and very attentive throughout the meal. So 5 stars for the service. On to the food.

Both the boyfriend and I ordered from the Restaurant Week menu, which offered 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 3 desserts to choose from. The deal is you get to choose one of each and pay $28 out the door. Nice! I chose the salmon duo appetizer, draper valley farms chicken entree, and bread pudding for dessert, while the boyfriend chose the hearts of palm (mixed greens) appetizer, grilled wild hawaiian albacore (seared tuna) entree, and passion fruit creme brulee for dessert. I enjoyed my food very much; salmon was well seasoned (if small in portion size), chicken was cooked just right with bone in and accompanied by mashed potatoes, carrots, and string beans (aka haricot verts), and I could taste the scotch in the bread pudding.... mmmm loveliness! The boyfriend was less impressed. Salad was good with a nice light dressing, but tuna was too rare for his taste. However he absolutely flipped for the passion fruit creme brulee, his favorite part of the meal- light, tart, and citrusy in really pleasant way. My only critique of the food is that although good, it wasn't very imaginative; maybe the rest of the menu takes more risks. So, for me, the food gets 4 stars.

Overall, would I go back? Hell yes. Very nice place for a special meal. Would I pay $40-60 a plate for just an entree here? Hell no. However I hear they are doing another $30 dinner deal in November, so I may be making a return trip....

Palisade may be a little hard to find at first but their location is so worth it. If you get lucky to sit next to the windows, you get a view of the marina and the Seattle skyline. I was very impressed with the layout of the restaurant, especially their koi pond and art work.

Yes, I came here for restaurant week since I probably wouldn't come here randomly with friends. I had a hard time deciding on what to order because all the items on the restaurant week lunch menu sounded so delicious. After asking the waiter and seeing what my friends ordered, I chose the following:

    Seafood Chowder
Why order a salad when you can get chowder? This chowder was perfect to the last drop: creamy and generous with shrimp and dungeneous crab chunks.

    Kobe Burger
If you're hungry, definitely order this burger. It may seem small but it is filling. I ordered to have my burger cooked medium and it was so juicy and tender to the point where I felt like I didn't have to chew it at all. The patty also has mushrooms mixed in which was a plus for me. The potato wedges that came with the burger were good as well.

    Creme Brulee Trio
Good thing I ordered this because I was already feeling stuffed after the chowder and burger I devoured. The creme brulee came in three different flavors: vanilla, chocolate and grand marnier. The grand marnier and chocolate were easily my favorites, especially since the chocolate (as I quote my friend) tasted like coco pebbles. The vanilla was ok except that the brulee part was not burnt at all. I like to crack that portion of the dessert but it seriously went straight through to the bottom of the bowl.

Other items that were enjoyed by my friends were the seafood salad (which looked so good) and the decadent chocolate cake (it was dense and rich). I was pretty pleased with my choices and my friends were happy as well.

Since this was my first time dining here, I ordered a guava mimosa for $5. I liked how light and bubbly this drink was. The bread and butter they served us before our appetizers came in was great. The butter was whipped and topped with some sort of black salt. It immediately melted while spreading it on the warm toasted bread. I even tried the butter with the potato wedges and that went well.

Service was on the slow side today but our server was polite and made sure our water was filled when needed.

If someone ever brings me here on a date, I would probably melt into a puddle because my overall experience was wonderful.

We dined here during seattle restaurant week. We secured a gorgeous windowside table overlooking the marina, the yachts and seattle downtown skyline. We went back again, this time around with friends for a second visit in 2 months. It was the warmest day in seattle in the past 7 months and we took a leisurely stroll along the waterfront trail surrounding the restaurant. We ordered the mojitos but they are a tad on the sweeter side. The warm sesame seed bread was delicious especially with the sea salt sprinkled butter.

Definitely go for the oven baked lobster and crab dip for the appetizer. It is hands down one of the most delicious dishes on their menu. The velvety creaminess of the dip just melts in your mouth.

We mostly stuck to the chef signature dishes which included seasonal fresh seafood. Hawaiian opah with coconut curry sauce was by far the most delectable entree I've had in a long time. The portion was substantial enough to be shared by two and we did not leave a morsel on the plate to do justice to the quality of the dish. The mahi mahi was a tad on the salty side and lacked sauce but when eaten with the cole slaw was quite tasty.

I was really impressed with their complimentary valet service. The minute we stepped out, my car was right up there in front of the doorsteps with all 4 doors opened.

Palisades is a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

I was pretty skeptical w/ booking dinner here for my bf's bday since I had never been to nor heard of Palisades, but I was super blown away by how great this place was from start to finish.

We were seated by the window w/ a gorgeous 180 degree view of the harbor, cityscape and a beautiful sunset. We even saw a seal! And once we settled into our seats, I was surprised to see that Palisades had left a handwritten birthday note & rose petals on the table in celebration of my bf's bday! How thoughtful. And to give you an idea of the look & feel of Palisades... I'd say that it makes you feel like you're in the Hawaiian tropics with all the Hawaiian Koa wood and their koi pond.

So, onto the food! We ordered the Washington Dungeness Crab Cakes, which were honestly the best I've ever had. There was a generous portion of crab meat packed into the cakes and the sweet & sour plum butter sauce created a heavenly combination of flavors. I was a little worried that this would be too much since we went big and ordered their land & sea special mains, but since it came out w/ 2 cakes, portions were just right.

Our main platters were amazing. I pictured huge slabs of steak and grilled shrimp, but Palisades really knew what they were doing in terms of portions & presentation. We got a nice, reasonable portion of Kobe steak, tasty sides of mashed potatoes & a variety of other additions. Grilled shrimp was sweet and plump and the salmon was so fresh, you knew right off the bat that it was wild.

All in all, Palisades provided a really great meal, service (our server called a cab for us too) and view. We were still talking about how good the place was, days later, so you know that's a good indicator that the dinner was a success!

Came here for SRW again but this time I knew what to expect and the experience was a lot better because of our waiter. He was very friendly and funny; he made recommendations on wine and we ordered 2 bottles of white and red.

Ordered the Chowder again and it was as delicious as how I remembered it the first time. This is one of their signature dishes and so far, the only one that topped it was Seastar's bisque.

This time I ordered the Miso Glazed Salmon. It was really good and tender and flaky. The rice filled me up quick but the sauce it accompanied with was full of yummy flavor.

For dessert, I ordered the Chocolate cake with Hazelnut ice cream. The cake was dense and very rich. The ice cream was creamy and divine.

Overall, the view is still wonderful, the food is still nice and the ambiance is still classy and romantic. Price is still expensive but that's just part of the experience.

A bit of a challenge to drive to, but definitely worth the experience.

As you drive up, there is a covered valet service which is a wonderful thing on those rare rainy Seattle days.

Walking in, the decor is warm and inviting.  There are large windows that lookout over the waterfront.

We stepped to the bar and each ordered a glass of Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin champagne while waiting for our table.  Yumm...

We came for the 3 for $30 dining promotion. For starters, I ordered the Salmon bisque.  It actually came with salad, but they allowed me to substitute.  It tasted wonderful

For my entree, I had a wonderful Waygu beef filet with grilled shrimp and potatoes with asparagus.  The presentation was beautiful.  The filet was tender and flavorful and the shrimp tasty.   The potatoes were moist and lightly seasoned to perfection.

Last was the dessert...the chocolate decadence.  "sigh"...yesss...a perfect sweet ending.

This is the second year in a row that I've had my birthday dinner at Palisade.

I was commenting at dinner that Palisade is probably my ultimate all around favorite-best-for-everything-great-food/ambiance restaurant.

Why? B/c of the VIEW. B/c of the SERVICE. B/c of the food and B/c it's a special place without feeling overly stuffy. You can get away with wearing jeans and a nice shirt here if you're a guy and as a girl, pretty much anything goes, but I love the chance to dress up! and coming here is a GREAT excuse to be a bit over dressed! There is really something very special and comfortable about this restaurant.

Had the trio which was a prawn, steak, and salmon. FANTASTIC!  The salmon melted in your mouth , the steak was a perfect medium rare, and the prawn was marinated well.

The bf got the prime rib which he actually didn't really enjoy all that much. The meat around the edge was overly salty and overall the consistency was a bit chewy. But, at the same time, I'm not taking off a star b/c of all the other great times I've had here. The inner meat of the prime rib was good and overall, I didn't expect all THAT much as I prefer different cuts of meat (filet mignons or NY).

Also shared the pupu platter which consisted of teriyaki filet mignon tenderloins, crabcakes, and prawns. Bf's fav was the steak, mine was the crabcakes.

The complimentary bread with salted butter was served WARM and the butter was absolutely fluffy ( I really don't like butter on break all that much).

ABSOLUTELY LOVE the ambiance of the place, snagged a window seat and I've always enjoyed the piano music played . LOVE the service (attentive without being overbearing). LOVE the wine selection. LOVE the food (for the most part, seafood and steak is always great). And LOVE Palisade's overall.

It's the perfect place for lunch or dinner, casual meal or a special meal.

AND, to top it off; I'm a part of their email list and for my bday, they sent me a coupon for a FREE duet of lobster entree (worth $49) or ANYTHING up to that value. Even MORE worth it!
