Home of the Big Five and the University of Pennsylvania Basketball, Wrestling, and Volleyball teams, I can't think of a cozier place to spend a winter's night with 8,700 screaming fans.

If you haven't been, just go.  Its a building that is likely older than your parents, and it is like a trip back in time.  An arena without an laser show or diamond vision, this place actually depends on cheerleaders to lead cheers.  What a concept.  Not that its necessary.  The noise starts at the opening tip and continues until after the end of the game.

I was there for the Penn Temple game last night.  Penn fell behind by 19 in the first half but continued pecking away to take a lead in the second half.  The game wasn't decided until Penn hit three free throws with under two seconds to take a two point lead.

Five stars for history and vitality.  Its nice to go back in time and look ahead all at once.
