The first time I came here was to use a Groupon for the beer and bacon tasting which included five pairings. It was AWESOME, but I may be biased seeing as I love almost all beers and almost all meats. My favorite was definitely the pepper bacon. Since then I've come back for another beer and bacon tasting and for Delirium Day. When I came back the bacon selection was basically the same, but 2 or 3 of the beer pairings had changed. Even though I didn't get to try any new bacon, it was still so delicious. Seriously, you cannot go wrong with bacon. Also Delirium Day was great, because we got to keep our pink elephant cup if we ordered a Delirium beer.
Overall the place is pretty chill. It has never gotten ridiculously busy while I've been there (which has been during the week and on a Friday). The staff has always been pretty nice, and if you chat up the guy who serves the bacon he might give you the leftovers each round. Paddy Long's probably would not be my first choice to just go grab a beer. However, I'm happy to make the trip so I can eat an embarrassing amount of bacon.
I'm definitely planning a return visit, so I can order the bacon board. -

enjoyed a recent bacon / beer tasting here. i have never been in this bar and expected a small intimate area. i was very surprised with the interior space. the bar was a lot larger than expected with a good amount of tables.
for the tasting, you sit wherever youd like and the bartender goes around with a pitcher to fill up your 6-8 oz cup and a waitress would follow with the bacon. there were 5 pairings in total and the samples of bacon were quite generous - 2 to 2.5 pieces. overall the tasting was great, it lasted about 1 hr 45 mins. TIP - if you are able to sit near the taps you will get the leftover of the pitchers that isnt used.
the bartender was friendly as was the waitress. we hung around for a while after the tasting and the bar emptied out a little bit. definately a cool spot to hang out and watch a game. there was a wide mix of people in here - looked to be anything from a date to a group of 10+ getting together.
the food menu had good variety - beer list was extensive. -

This is one of the coolest, places to go in Lakeview if you are looking for a superb beer menu, tasty bar fare, friendly cool staff & if you are a fan of bacon- you will love it.
After being discouraged with many bars in the neighborhood that cater to the kids entice them with $5 Miller Lite buckets....ewwwwww..... a friend took me around the corner to his favorite hang out Paddy Longs and I have loved the place every since.
Paddy Longs has an extensive menu of craft beers, that the bartenders actually know something about, you tell them what you like, they will suggest a recommendation that compliments your beer palate. Paddy Longs often has tap take overs as well which are always fun & offer a great selection from different breweries. The Three Floyds was my personal favorite.
Paddy Longs has a juke box but you never really have to play it, their mixed genre selections they play will allow you to save your extra bucks for another beer.
Paddy Longs attracts a cool crowd as well, laid back, unpretentious, beer snobs - my kind of people.
Tuesday night trivia attracts a large crowd, this is not trivia for the light hearted, I suggest study up before taking it on- there are some hard core brainiacs there that have left me crying in my beer, in comparison to my score,
If your looking for a cool place to hang for evening, to enjoy a good craft beer, some cool tunes, good food and be able to converse and mingle in a relaxing but inviting atmosphere, this is your place to hang.
I think once anyone visits, it becomes a favorite that you will come back and visit often, -

I've thought long and hard about this review because I don't give out 5 stars lightly, but Paddy Long's deserves it. I've been to Paddy Long's several times for several reasons, and I always have a great time. Why?
They have a fantastic beer selection with lots of craft brews. They often have "tap takeovers" featuring several draft beers from regional breweries like Great Lakes and Three Floyds.
They have good food, including more pork options than you can handle.
They have really good trivia on Tuesday nights. The questions are hard, but you can figure them out with some logic and problem-solving skills.
Beer-battered cheesecake. Just order it and thank me later.
I've never done the beer and bacon tasting, so I can't speak to that, but Paddy Long's truly is the perfect neighborhood bar. It's worth every star available!Listed in: Lakeview, Did you catch the game?

I've been here three times over a 2 year span and have enjoyed it each time. The first was for a beer and bacon tasting (a long time ago so don't have all the details handy) but it was an enjoyable experience- try to get a Groupon if you can because $35 is a lot for what you get with that.
The other times I've gone here for dinner/drinks and the service is always very friendly. The most recent time was with a group of 10 about 10:30 pm when we were frantically looking for a bar with an open kitchen. The man on the phone with the Irish accent (I'm guessing the owner) was very friendly and said he'd make sure they'd take care of us which we really appreciated. I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was good. Their Christmas decorations are cute. -

Best way to sum up the Beer & Bacon tasting: great concept, poor execution. 2.5 stars, but giving them the benefit of the doubt with 3.
Bought the Groupon for the tasting, and was super excited to have this experience with my mom and one of my girlfriends. The tasting was scheduled from 7-9 on a Saturday evening. We arrived on early, and had no trouble finding street parking in the neighborhood.
My friend had the insight to ask if the beer/bacon would be enough for a meal, or if we should supplement with a few appetizers. Our server suggested maybe getting a few things to share. So, we did:
Hummus plate: pretty standard. A ice cream scoop of hummus with 4 pita points, and a few sticks of celery and carrots. Hummus seemed homemade, or at least freshly/locally made.
Cheese and sausage board: A rip-off for $12.00. Two tiny wedges of cheese, six dried apricot halves, five thin slices of grilled sausage (kielbasa?) one gherkin, and one half a slice of wheat bread, cut in half. Seriously?
Welsh Rarebit fries: Freezer fries with cheese melted on top. Not enough cheese, kinda a funky taste.
On to the tasting:
We were given a glass upon entering. About a half pint. The same glass was used for all five tastings. One of the servers came around with a pitcher and explained about the beer. Another server came by and dumped a piece of bacon on each of our plates. They weren't too careful about things, several times my mom ended up with her bacon in the ketchup she'd put on the very side of her plate out of the way for her fries. There's of a plate there, bacon and ketchup don't belong together!
Also, it took about an hour before we were given our first tasting.
The pairings:
1. Metropolitan Krankshaft / Irish Bacon (both local): Irish back bacon is from the loin, didn't have much flavor, and tasted more like a pork chop. Beer was tasty.
2. Legunitas IPA / Pepper Bacon: IPA was good, very very bitter citrusy, if that's your thing. Almost got grapefruit notes. The bacon was WAY too peppery. Couldn't get past it. It was like they breaded breakfast bacon in peppercorns. It almost killed my palate.
3. Trumer Pils / Danish Bacon: My favorite on both. Trumer Pils is an Austrian style lager. The Danish bacon was crispy and super smoky.
4. 3 Floyd's Alpha King / Hickory Smoked Bacon: can't go wrong with 3 Floyd's, and a traditional breakfast bacon.
5. Firestone Walker Red Nector / Brown Sugar Bacon: The beer was good. The bacon, while sweet and delicious, was seriously undercooked.
So, I was underwhelmed. I don't think I would go back... I can do my own beer/bacon tasting at home for a quarter of the price. -

Do not question anything about this place. The typical neighborhood bar, it offers fantastic bar food and wonderful service. Check it out. You will NOT regret it.

Let me be clear. Five stars in this scenario does not mean shiny and pretty and country club casual. It means they have a super beer list (both on tap and bottled) good food, friendly service and a comfortable, fun vibe where it is possible to have a conversation without shouting over the sounds of some egotistical bartender's iPod (but I'm not bitter).
Though I've passed Paddy Long's many, many times wandering through the neighborhood, it never caught my attention until a friend asked me if I wanted to check out their beer and bacon tasting (which I prefer to refer to as the beer and bacon extravaganza because it sounds more fun and frankly is an appropriate description). We went on a Saturday night, arrived about ten minutes before the scheduled start time and there were several tables available. Service before, during and after the BBE (beer and bacon extravagan... you get the idea) was attentive and courteous but not intrusive. We learned little snippets about each pairing, and when we had additional questions they were knowledgeably answered.
After the BBE wrapped up, we decided to order a couple appetizers to round out our meal, and my friends and I are still talking about the bacon wrapped dates. The spectacular thing about these particular bacon wrapped dates is that they are not charred on all sides... The bacon is wrapped around the date, then baked or pan fried on one side, so the bacon is crispy on that side but not on the others so you get the full flavor of the bacon as well as the date, with a little bit of the bacon crunch we all love. These things taste like your dreams. The good ones.
Overall, I really loved this bar for a neighborhood hang-out with good beer and friendly, helpful but non-hipster elitist bar and waitstaff. I'll definitely go back. -

Every one of my experiences here has been great and unique:
1. Three Floyds Tap Takeover
One of the best 'local' breweries around and a Chicago favorite. There was some amazing beer on tap here, including Alpha King, Apocolypse Cow, Zombie Dust, and Ragnorak. My only compliant was that they ran out of kegs so quickly (some were gone within a couple hours). I don't think you could find a Three Floyds beer selection this extensive outside of Munster, Indiana.
2. Octoberfest Tap Takeover
Another excellent 'beer event'. This one included a German Oompah band playing through the night. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but I think that was fitting given the theme. I don't remember what I was drinking but it was delicious and strong.
3. Beer and Bacon Tasting
This is what Paddy's is famous for and for good reason. The bacon was great, even though the portions were 'tasting 'size (you will want more because its so good). IPAs go well with bacon, so I was pretty happy with the parings. My favorite was the last 'dessert' bacon - YUM.
This place is a must-go, check out the schedule for their various events.Listed in: Best Beer Menus in Lakeview

I dont understand that you have your Bacon and Cheese club at 4pm and start turning away customers @ 2pm...Seriously I will NEVER try to walk into your establishment ever again. It is bad business sense that a local diner cannot walk into your establishment, enjoy a beer while waitng for a table two hours before your event. And to your Brain Dead hostess...You should probably start studying on how life works with out smoking your mind away...you are really really really slllloooowww. Paddy longs, YOU SUCK!! -

I got the LivingSocial deal for my boyfriend and I, $18 each...not too expensive. All in all it was a pretty good value. I'm not sure I would pay the $36/person that they normally charge, but for what we paid it was a superb value.
We went for the Sunday afternoon tasting, which ended up being during the Bears game. The TVs are poorly located if you're not sitting at the bar so it's probably not the best spot to watch a game.
We got there about 10 minutes early and it was already pretty crowded. They start serving about 15 or 20 minutes after the scheduled start time of the event, which pretty much forces you into ordering a few beers in addition to the Beer and Bacon tasting unless you want to just sit and stare at each other waiting for the deliciousness to begin (this makes this delectable experience quite pricey). The good news is they have a great beer selection. I'm a sucker for Framboise and they have it on tap :)
As for the tasting, everything was DELICIOUS! The pairings were pretty solid and the portions were fair...not too big and not too small. My favorite was definitely the closer, a maple brown sugar bacon paired with a chocolatey porter. But there was nothing to be disappointed about.
I'd definitely recommend grabbing the LivingSocial Deal next time around and checking it out for yourself. -

Went to the beer & bacon tasting on a Groupon deal and it was great!
dining room was a bit noisy, but overall atmosphere comfortable and friendly.
Tastings on Saturday nights sell out fast (you have to reserve at least 7 days ahead), and it was recommended that we arrive 15 min early to insure our seating.
Even with that, we were asked to move to another table to help the staff accommodate a group of 4, due to tight seating. Not sure how they could fit more in, but it does seem like they could use a few more tables.
Price for the tasting would likely have been too steep if not for the coupon, but it allowed for us to order the bacon wrapped dates (excellent!) and Rarebit fries (also very good) to supplement the tasting, which wasn't enough for dinner otherwise.
The beer menu is extensive and very good. the tasting was a nice way to sample for favorites.
descriptions of the bacons and beers in the tasting were provided, which was edumacational ; ) and fun.
Definitely look forward to going back. Want to try the grenade, or maybe bring a crowd & order the bomb! -

My favorite bar in the city. Unbelievable food, fine beer selection and excellent service. Good place to watch a soccer match if you're looking for something a little less rowdy. Bacon bomb sandwich is epic.

I went to the beer & bacon tasting on a groupon with my girlfriend. She's a vegetarian so I got to eat all her bacon, too (score!). It was delicious and the kind of thing that's right up my alley: Delicious, flavored bacons paired with beers that compliment the flavors.
My favorite bacon was the authentic Irish bacon: thick cut! The tasting was topped off with an incredible maple syrup bacon - a great, dessert-like ending to a fun tasting! -

Only one thing to update from my previous review, after stopping by for an (always excellent) Moo and Oink burger recently:
The fries are good but the alternate side, the potato salad, is amazing. It has bacon in it. Get it.Listed in: Listomania, Good Beer in Chicago

Solid! Paddy Long's doesn't have that four-star thing for me like Lemmings or perhaps Bucktown Pub does, but I had a pretty good time here. I tried out the beer and bacon tasting -- pretty expensive for what you get if you do it full price, but they often have deals and promos going.
Bartender guy was extremely awesome, giving us the rundown at each pairing, making sure to let us know where the bacon was from and where we could get it (which, according to my roomie, was very different from her B&B tasting experience. She thought it sucked). Everything was tasty..except I thought all the bacon pairings came out on the chewy side rather than crispy. But it was still delicious. I mean, it's bacon.
In Lincoln Park, I'd say this is probably one of the better bars out there, if not only for the remarkable size of their beer list! -
Review from Brett P.
My friend and I did the bacon tasting. We both had Groupons which took the price down to $20 from $36.
I really enjoyed trying all the different bacon and the beers that were paired with them. $36 would have been a little steep for the tasting, but $20 felt about right.
I definitely want to go back to this bar to try some of their food as well as sample some more beers from their extensive selection.
Bottom line: fun place to eat as well as to drink. -

My kind of neighborhood bar. I like a place that doesn't take itself too seriously. They have a great attitude there and the food and beer selections are far reaching and allow a beer-o-file to change up he monotony of choosing a beer.
If you love bacon, you will like the menu. I am always happy with the service and the price of the drinks. I wish I could go to it more. -
Review from Emily C.
Paddy Long's really deserves 3 stars, but I'm giving it 4 because the crowd is much more laid back and quiet than most of the rowdy bars in the area.
They have a pretty good beer list, including many craft brews.
This place is famous for their bacon, and all of the bacon options will be a great choice (and perfect drunk-food).
I have also been to the beer and bacon tasting. Some people don't really believe that bacon and beer can be paired to complement each other, but I buy into the hype. My only complaint is that the beer glasses were very small (probably half-pint) so it's not quite "5 beers" as advertised. For the amount of beer and bacon, the price of the beer and bacon tasting is simply too high. I'm waiting until they have another Groupon... -

This is my dream bar - beer and bacon! BACON! What more could you want? I came for the beer & bacon tasting and stayed after for the bacon orgy of a menu. I guarantee you've never seen so much bacon on a menu.
We sat in the back by the kitchen, so I was drooling every time a tasting board, piled high with sizzling bacon came out. The tasting included 2 strips each of 5 different kinds of bacon, each paired with tasting portions of craft beers. My favorites were the cracked pepper, danish, and brown sugar bacon.
After the tasting, we ordered more bacon. Well we were still hungry and you can never have enough bacon. Of course we got the brown sugar bacon wrapped dates - a combo of flavors that never fail. We also got the Bacon Grenades, which are spicy sausage balls, wrapped in bacon, beer battered, and deep fried. With a side of BBQ sauce to dip, the grenades were really good. If you want more deep fried goodness, they also have beer battered bacon strips and deep fried cheesecake.
I've been obsessed with all kinds of BLT lately, so naturally I ordered the Gigantor BLT. A half pound of 3 different kinds of bacon... and that's a half pound AFTER being cooked. This monster of a sandwich is definitely made for bacon lovers.
The service was a bit slow, but very friendly. I didn't mind in my drunken bacon daze. It's a chill bar, perfect for having some drinks with friends.
So the next time you feel like drinking some good beer and munching on bacon, head to Paddy Long's! -
Review from Holly L.
FANTASTIC! Like many others, only came here because of the groupon for beer and bacon tasting. Husband and I were blown away by the beer selection. I pity the person who goes into this bar and orders a Lite. Silly fool. So many rare and craft beers. The bacon... aw hell, bacon is good no matter what! But with the tasting you get 5 different kinds! Whee!
Staff was all extremely nice, awesome beer selection, dive-y atmosphere, delicious bacon, not a single thing to complain about, except the fact that it's not within walking distance of my house!
We're already talking about our next visit, and I can't wait! -

This place is a lot of fun.
We went here for the beer and bacon pairing on a wednesday night.
They have a great beer selection.
The beer & bacon pairings were really good and the servers seemed to know their stuff when it came to the beer, as well as the bacon.
We also had a sandwich that was very tasty.
They also have a 5lb bacon promotion that says if you eat all if AND a basket of fries in 45mins you get your name on the board, a t-shirt, and your meal for free. I think there is one person who has done it this year so far.
Word of advice....be careful where you sit or you may be forgotten about.
Bike parking on street signs out front. -

This is a casual, relaxed pub that doesn't look like much from the outside but when you think of Irish pubs - this should be the bar you think of. It is run by native Irish owners. So the beers are good and the company is even better.
This is a great place to go for a drink after work and end up with a new friend by the time you leave. They have good daily specials including $5 paninis and $5 burger and fries. I like the drinks and the atmosphere which is rather dark with a low, tin square ceiling and high-top tables. As for food, I've only had a burger before and I didn't think there was anything special about it other than the price. This was also within the first week they were opened so who knows if that's improved since then. -

Beer + bacon = genius idea! I've been twice to Paddy Long's beer and bacon tasting. I'd easily give five stars for my first trip to the tasting, but I was less thrilled with my experience when I went back on Saturday night. The warm, casual vibe inside of Paddy Long's and the terrific staff that comes around and gives background on what you taste was just as terrific as I remembered. It would have been a five star evening if nearly all of our bacon hadn't arrived extremely undercooked; it kind of puts a damper on things when you have to pick around huge globs of fat just to find pieces of edible meat. Probably the kitchen staff was just having an off night. Regardless though, I'd still recommend this for anyone looking for a fun, unusual, and inexpensive weekend activity.
Paddy Long's heavily promotes the beer and bacon tasting, so there is almost no reason to book a tasting at full price. We've paid $20 a person both times, rather than the standard $36. Sign up for Paddy Long's email list as they frequently distribute coupons and other discounts or keep your eye out for it to be featured on Groupon or Living Social. -

This place is awesome! You can't argue with "Bacon Bar!"
The food here is also awesome. Their Bacon Board is a nice assortment of different types of bacon...types I didn't know existed! It is accompanied by gherkins and mustard and some dense type of bread but all very good and a great compliment to beer!
My favorite here is the Bacon Bomb sandwich! I took a friend here and he was hooked! You can't go wrong with sausage wrapped in weaved brown sugar bacon! It's so bad for you but tastes so good. The BBQ sauce on it is also a nice touch! Tip: They are the Tuesday special!
Paddy Long's also has some pretty awesome events. Their pig roast was awesome, although, I've heard that they aren't doing those anymore. They also have awesome events like the Goose Island Tap Takeover where they replaced all their taps with rare and limited production brews. I was so plastered when I left here, I missed quite a hail storm apparently.
love, love, love this place! -

This is where I come when I feel like being a naughty vegetarian. Plates of delish bacon, bacon tastings, and an outstanding beer list. A few notches above a dive with clean bathrooms, great service, and a bacon bomb. Seriously, someone do the bacon bomb and call me. I need to see someone attempt this in person. Intrigued? Me too.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The owner was so rude to my journalist friend who doesn't speak fluent English. She wanted to do a story PROMOTING this place and he kicked her out of the restaurant after saying over email he would do an interview with her at a specific time he chose. According to him, he was too busy and this is how small businesses work.
Even if their food was good, I wouldn't go on principal. -

so Groupon had a $20 deal for a bacon and beer tasting.... ah yes, two of my favorite things! so a few friends and I got this groupon and decided to try it out!
We went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was actually pretty packed, and luckily no bears game was on at the time. They had TV's everywhere so even if it was on, we still could have caught it.
As for the tasting... I mean it's bacon and beer, how can that go wrong?? it was about 2 strips of bacon for the 5 rounds of tasting and an accompanying beer (about 7 oz glass I'd say). The beers were great, and unfortunately, it looks like I had a few too many since I also ordered my own beer and now I can't seem to remember what beers we had for the tasting. My two favorite slices of bacon, the peppered bacon and the maple bacon. oh so good, I only wish we had more to taste!
Now the reason I gave it 3 stars, an A-OK rating... If this beer and bacon tasting normally runs $36, I don't think it would be worth it, but at $20 we felt it was the right price (as many others have stated on here). Each round we got 2 slices, and some pieces of bacon we got were not fully cooked. I was lucky enough to get crispy bacon every time, but my wife didn't so I would give her some of mine to offset the slightly under cooked bacon.
The other issue, is that we came here starving! so the bacon definitely wasn't going to be enough to fill us up. We ended up ordering the Bacon Bomb for the 6 of us... ok so maybe we didn't need that much food after the bacon tasting... we ended up only finishing half of it. I know, weaksauce. it tasted ok, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, esp for being named the bacon bomb. it was more of a huge meatloaf covered in bacon.
overall, our group felt the experience was alright. we had a lot of fun, and the service was great! we still have some of the bacon bomb left, so it might just be tonight's dinner, so maybe I'll update on how the leftovers taste! -

Look for their special events and beer tap takeovers. They do a good job on that. It's a nice atmosphere to throw back a few pints but I'd go elsewhere for food. It's very meh and the prices are definitely aggressive.

I absolutely fell in love with this place! A friend and i went to check out the bacon board and ended up trying the bacon wrapped dates (SO GOOD) and the Bacon Grenades as well. Everything was really good, the bartender was super knowledgeable and nice. He helped us pick out some good beer to try and also entertained us with funny and interesting stories.
On Tuesday evening it wasn't busy and was easy to walk in and grab a seat. I have a feeling this place will grow in popularity and that wont always be the case. Overall a great experience, and I will definitely be back! -

This place is awesome. Great beer, great bar furniture, good food, and bacon explosion. Yes, I came here with 6 buddies to eat their bacon explosion, not only was it the heaviest thing I've ever eaten but it was one of the dankest. I'm not sure if I'd order it again but damn that put me out of commission for a day.
My favorite thing about this place, was that they have two of my favorite beers on tap for $5: Hoegaarden and Delerium Tremens. Ahh I need to go back soon! -
Review from Pam D.
Have you ever been on a Snipe Hunt? Well, generally speaking you would be more likely to find a Snipe than to find me in a bar / tavern / pub.
Therefore, take a good hard look at the 4 stars I've given Paddy Long's and know that something good must be happening here.
To avoid the drunks, sport maniacs and trolling chickie babes, we came here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Got a parking spot right in front and the bar was nearly empty. My kind of place!!! The bartender gave us menus and the beer list. He was very nice and gave us some updates on the beer menu, which meant absolutely nothing to me. Chris ordered a pilsner and I ordered a diet coke, and then we got down to business, which was of course, BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!
We split an order of the deep fried bacon. It is served with a delicious dipping sauce and was perfectly prepared. Of course we always travel with a defibrillator, so cardiac arrest is only ever a minor inconvenience. After inhaling the bacon, we moved on to the main course. Christopher had the moo & oink, which was basically a burger topped with more bacon. The burger was average, but of course the bacon was wonderful.
I opted for the Bacon Bomb, the amazing pork concoction that Paddy Long's has made famous. I am glad I tried it, but to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. To me the pork sausage overpowered the bacon, so although I enjoyed the thrill of eating something terribly bad for me, I don't think I would order it again. Both sandwiches came with fries, which were ok. I got a side of their Welsh rarebit sauce for the fries. We both found it surprisingly bland.
I was feeling really gutsy. I mean here I was in a pub and was packing away enough bacon to stop my heart, so I decided to actually try a beer. Well, I went for the Linderman's Framboise which is so infused with raspberries that it is bright red. It was sweet and tart and zippy and I loved it. At 8 bucks a glass, it will remain a treat, but it was fun. Even if it didn't pair up with my meal, I don't give a dang, cuz that's the kind of person I am. I had me some bacon and I had me some beer and I think I may have seen a Snipe as well. -

When I heard we were going out for bacon and beer for a friends birthday I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I was sold upon hearing the word bacon.
I glanced over the menu before we left and decided that I couldn't leave the bar without trying their deep fried bacon. I've been planning to have a heart attack by age 30, so I figured with a year to go this was my best option. I mean seriously, bacon and deep fried in the same sentence sounds like the greatest food on the planet. My only concern was that once I tasted this delectable treat I would never be able to eat anything ever again because I would have tasted the greatest food on earth.
We got to the bar at 9PM on a Saturday and since it was a larger party we had an entire section reserved. Waitress was very friendly and the drinks were good. There are lots of different beers that you normally don't see at neighborhood bars and the atmosphere was nice... then came the food. We ordered the deep fried bacon (of course), bacon wrapped dates and fried pickles. I immediately prepared myself for the flavor explosion that was about to happen in my mouth, but sadly I was quite disappointed. Yeah, seriously, how could one be disappointed by deep fried bacon? Well let me tell you how....
First of all I didn't use any of the dipping sauce that came with it, but the beer batter overpowered any bacon flavor that could have been. I honestly didn't taste any bacon what so ever in the 3-4 pieces I ate. My friends did seem to enjoy the bacon wrapped dates and the fried pickles, but since I was there specifically for the deep fried bacon I left less than satisfied.
I have heard decent things about the bacon and beer tasting so I'd be willing to go back and give that a shot, but sadly I won't be getting the deep fried bacon again. -

This was a really enjoyable place. I headed here as part of my craft beer week crawl. My friend and I got here around 10 on a thursday and it wasn't hard to find a seat.
The vibe was nice and laid back with a real good beer list to boot. I got an ommegang since that was the feature there but it was also pretty cool to see them have delerium tremens on tap.
They also said that they play replays of premier league matches but aren't open early enough for saturday and sunday matches. Still, I'd like to catch a match here next season -

I get excited just talking about Paddy Long's. Om nom nom... their burgers (and salads, and BLT, and potentially all the food on their menu I haven't yet tried) are really good. The have a great array of beer and the bartenders are friendly and willing to recommend based on what you like. Trivia night is awesome, and awesomely hard (maybe just for me... hmm) and they have a tasty brunch menu on the weekends.
The whole bar is a good vibe and is located conveniently (or not) right across the street from my gym. I've actually been on the treadmill looking across at Paddy's thinking... okay, three more miles... le sigh. Counter-productive, but burger-licious. -

The beer is always DELISH and fresh and perfectly priced.
I've had a burger here before and I remember it being pretty good. They have tasty fries too! Crispy and just enough salt.
The chicken fingers were really good too! :)
The ground beef quesadilla was superb.
Now minus one star for their Reuben. I love Reubens. This one? Not so much... It was 2 huge chunks of corned beef, not shredded, and it was really tough to eat. I was starving, so I ate it, but it just wasn't my favorite.
Service is always great and love the soccer ambiance. Very cool. -

Ladyfriend and I went with another couple for trivia night. Awesome extensive beer list. Went with the Cafe Negro on special, as well as a plate of curry fries.
Trivia was cool. We had a good time. I'd come back ... if you eat the whole bacon explosion by yourself you get it for free, plus a free T-shirt. I want to do that for my birthday, but Ladyfriend has vetoed it. (whip crack). -

It's a really decent place to grab some beers with your friends. This place you certainly can be pleased and have tasty bacon dishes, although the space is not quite large like other bars.
The staffs are very friendly and the ambience is really nice. I've been here for three times and always tried different beers. My friend and I both think beers are totally different from what we have at other bars in this neighborhood.
There are tons of beers you can choose, if you are fond of beers, this place will absolutely be your top option to try. So over all it was. I will definitely be coming back.
