I bought my Jack-Chihuahua a collar a year and a half ago. She wears it all the time! In and out of the water! It has held up great and she gets compliments on it where ever we go. I love it.

Okay, so go ahead and believe the hype.
Two dogs, two collars. One of the dogs got a pre-made martingale adjusted to his size, the other one had a St. Francis. Sort of.
There was some miscommunication and the collar had to be sent back. Pretty sure my dog ended up with a smaller Griffin Deluxe (which was exactly what I wanted, but didn't know that it existed) and you know what? These guys are just plain nice. They took it back happily, and remade the collar, and never once did I sense even a shred of attitude. Wow.
Yes their collars are pricy, but these guys *really* want to make sure that you love the product. Just order already. -

There is a reason this place only gets 5 star ratings. The product is amazing! I've wanted one of these since I spotted a great dane sporting one at the WAIH.
Well Lucy finally got one as a gift from her favorite uncle! She is looking pretty fine in the "callie" collar. She's turning heads and getting compliments everywhere she goes. This is a durable collar and although I've only had it a few days, I have confidence that this will be her one and only collar and that it can withstand the Lucy test. Nice doggie bling for sure!!
I understand she has a matching leash on the way and we can't wait! -

If you want a quality, one-of-a-kind collar for your dog that will last a life-time and turn heads wherever you go then Paco Collars is the place to get it! I only have one Paco Collar, for now, and I love it. I ordered a premade collar over the phone, the girl that helped me out was incredibly helpful, and I got my collar one week later. I'm sure it will take longer once I order a custom collar. My doberman wears his Paco collar almost daily and it has held up great! He isn't a swimmer but it's gotten wet, it's gotten dirty, it's gotten muddy, and it's gotten yanked and pulled on at the dog park... the collar is still in near perfect condition. These collars can be expensive but they are definitely worth the price.

I should have already posted my review for the Paco Collar products I puchased & received in October. My 3 dog crew finally all have Paco Collars & I also ordered the Buddy System - Deluxe with long leashes for my smaller dogs. I have 1 dog on one side & 2 on a leash/coupler combo on the other. I received the best customer service & Brian was a great help in the design to make everything work for my needs. It's very unique with the details we agreed on. First of all, I love my Paco Belt. I will wear it even if the dogs aren't attached. The collars & the leashes/coupler are beautiful & all have each dogs certain colored rhinestone & stud design. After chomping at the bit waiting for our resident breezy to reach a respectable size, we finally deemed her ready for a Paco Collar. These collars will cost you a pretty penny but I can't stress enough, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. And if you are a fan of Paco Collars and Fetching Tags on Facebook, you'll be lucky to catch a sale as I did.
Online shopping is available. However, I recommend visiting the shop to meet with Ana and her wonderful staff for not only a consult but to meet the resident X-Dog and one of the many dogs they foster.
In addition to the many style of collars offered, you'll find that you can pick and choose various details such as leather color, gems and matching leads. Each piece is personal. Turnaround time is approx 2-3 weeks.
When I picked up my dog's collar, I could not contain my giddiness. Marley's collar is downright brilliant. It's HOOD-RICH.

Discovered Paco collars through an ad in Bark magazine. After perusing their website I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I ordered the" Reisy " in color brown and purple rhinestones. My daisy's neck measured in at a mere 10 inches so the collar had to be modified a bit. I got a call just a few days after placing my order from paco saying they were going to make the adjustments and add the rhinestones. They said the collar would soon be on its way. I received the collar within a week of ordering! Much faster than expected. It was made beautifully and fit Daisy like a glove. I have to say the product was beyond expectations and the customer service was excellent. It was well worth the price. Thank you Paco collars! Daisy gives you 5 stars.

Awesome. Simply awesome. I've had a dog-centered life for a long time, seen a lot of services and products over many years, and this company is top of the line. There are many boutiques and cutie dog stores, but this place is genuine and their product speaks for itself.
The pit bull rescue group Our Pack recommended these collars and with the recent adoption of my great dane/mastiff - what other collar could really fit? Literally. Josh spent at least 30-45 minutes exploring the custom design that would match Zion, which wasn't a simple task since I didn't have anything specific in mind when I arrived. He was so patient, offered a lot of creativity, was honest but respectful of my likes/dislikes which he listened very carefully to so as to understand. Everyone in the shop was very cool and friendly, and I cannot wait for the collar to arrive so my growing baby can show off his excellent taste and style!! ;)
These are people to keep an eye on, they are doing great things. -

As a former non believer, I never wanted to pay for this expensive collar...but after my first collar, I was hooked.
This was back in the day when Paco collars was a one woman shop, and I begged her to create a matching leash, because if you are going to spend good money on a collar, you want a bling bling leash!
Through the years the collars have grown more and more awesome. As a leather goods snob, I look at every dog's collar and then always suggest an upgrade to the Paco collar. Gotta push for what you like right?
I LOVE paco collars, with that said, I will never go anywhere else for my leather needs. -

I just saw that Paco Collars is getting a store on Shattuck Ave. (across from the dreaded Berkeley Bowl!) No WAY!
These products are THE BEST! Our pooch has had his collar for 4 years and through rain, snow, rivers, and just life in general, the collar looks brand new. Yes, the products are expensive, but have you had a collar that will last the life of your dog? That being said, I want an other one, damn that Celtic is looking good: http://www.pacocollars...

Paco Collars is AMAZING! I purchased a collar for my Beagle a little over a year ago and its fantastic. We walk, run and hike A LOT and its held up great (except for changing colors quite drastically - it went from a golden tan color to a dark brown color, but it didn't bother me too much). They were extremely helpful over the phone in advising me about size and color. When I received the collar, it was slightly off in size and I sent it back for an adjustment, no questions asked and they overnighted it right back to me in time for my road trip with my furry best friend. I plan on purchasing every collar from now on from Paco Collars!

I went to the Pet Expo at the fairgrounds in San Jose today and the first thing I did was run around until I found the Paco Collars booth. I've admired their website off and on for awhile, but I wanted to see their wares in person before spending so much on a collar. I was not disappointed! Every collar was beautiful!
Much to my delight, they had my favorite style collar in my dog's size, in a color that looks fabulous on him, with a matching leash, out on their table! It was meant to be...
The two gentlemen working the booth were SWAMPED with customers but took the time to get us all set up and talk to me about their cat collars while ringing up Jasper's new bling. I didn't feel rushed at all, despite the crowd. I was so impressed with the workmanship and the service, my two kitties will be getting new collars soon too! -

As a full-on jaded consumer, I EXPECT to be disappointed in some (maybe small) way with most purchases. Things don't fit exactly right, the color is slightly off or the quality isn't quite up to expectations. Whatever, nothing is ever perfect.
You can imagine my surprise when I opened up the box Louie's Paco collar came in.
It is truly an amazing piece of work. Ana and I had emailed back and forth a few times (how big is Louie, correct measurement of his neck - I even emailed her a head shot) and what I got was a stunning, well made leather collar that makes my dog look like the stud that he is. I ordered a matching bracelet (well, wouldn't YOU?) and I love that every bit as much as the collar. They are both SO well made that I doubt the beast (or I) will ever need another one.
I have to get another dog so I can order another Paco Collar. (But I am going to buy Louie a leash...)

Simply the best people and the best products, PAWS DOWN.
OK, so like everyone else, I am in love with Paco's products. My "Over The Shoulder Rover Holder" is the only leash I use for my GSD, Biscuit. With extra clips and d-rings, the versatility is as great as the craftsmanship. This is a leash that I'm sure (sadly) will outlast the dog.
What I'd add is how great it feels to buy peerless products from really pleasant people who also support some great, underfunded dog-related groups. One tiny example: I once asked Ana Poe (founder) if she ever sold scraps of leather -- which I have a hard time finding, and which I need for the tracking training I do every week with my dog. (One or two web sites actually sell scraps for $15-$20 for 8 pieces! Not exactly in my budget.) Ana's response? "How many pieces could you and your tracking club use?" Within a week, I got a box of 50+ scraps, plus a nice personal note! Paco also supports schools and other educational and arts programs with scrap leather, and they just generally seem to pitch in for a good cause whenever they can. You sure can't say the same thing about the Big Box pet supply stores.
Our household Paco Products Tally? A dog collar and leash, plus (for the human) a bracelet and the most kick-a$$ belt you've ever seen. As another poster noted, the products aren't inexpensive, but they will last virtually forever and bring you joy (and envious compliments) every time you use them.
I can't imagine anyone being dissatisfied in any way with Paco's products -- and I know that if they were, Ana and her Band of Artisans would do their best to make things right.
PS to Kim in Vancouver -- Casseil may be the best GSD west of the Rockies, but Biscuit's got this neck of the woods locked up tight! ;-) -

Despite my finances not being happy, I saved a bit for Maya-dawg's 7th birthday to splurge on a Paco Collar. After a day on the marina, with her and her fur-brother Bud, we went by Paco, and they happily greeted us and even put away their resident doggy (Maya is a bit of a diva and would otherwise have been agitated). So we were able to comfortably look around. I had an idea of which one I wanted(sybil lilly with hearts), but not the width or color. The woman that helped us acted as an amazing style consultant, recommending a collar matching perfectly to Maya's coat, even showing me what it would change to with time & wear. I had thought a contrasting color but am glad I took her advice. During the time I spent there, they were patient, kind and friendly. They also assisted me in allowing part of the purchase price go towards a rescue group, even though I forgot the form for it.
When the collar arrived, we went to pick it up, we were pleased and happy and extremely satisfied. We get compliements everywhere we go, and that's such an attitude booster.
Next up for a Paco Collar--brother Bud (you can stop growing now). -

It's hard not to gush over Paco Collars. Their products are extremely durable, functional gear smartly disguised as sexy, cutting edge fashion. Who knew having both could be so easy?
To date I've obtained I think 17 pieces from this company, dog collars, leads, cat collars, and a bracelet. Ordering is a breeze and someone from the company, often the founder herself, is in touch every step to make sure you get exactly what you want for your pet. True artistry at work.
I can say with certainty that these are the best leather products I've had the opportunity to use, and being that I'm a member of both the veterinary field and the working/sporting dog world that's saying a lot. They are tough as nails, age beautiful, and take a brutal beating like no other leather pet products I've ever seen. Salt water? Fine. Pools? Fine. Extreme heat/humidity/hurricanes? Fine!
The cherry on top of this delicious Paco sundae is the company's dedication to supporting pets and their people in a variety of ways and the fact that the company holds high standards in regard to its own business practices. Customer service is beyond excellent, with all at Paco conducting themselves professionally yet remaining friendly, approachable, and often downright humorous. I actually look forward to their quirky emails! The company motto says it best: "Paco Collars ROCK!" -

Let me start by saying that, as a professional dog trainer, the quality of the equipment I use and recommend to clients has to be something I would personally stand by; I can't afford accidents or tack malfunction. And I can honestly say that there isn't a collar or leash on the market that I would recommend over Paco Collars. Period.
All of my own dogs -- who range in sizes from 3 lbs. to 120 lbs. -- own Paco collars and leashes and I use their leashes when training client dogs (especially big dogs, leash reactive dogs, potentially aggressive dogs, or pullers). I have even used my Over-The-Shoulder leash as reins when my horse snapped his before a trail ride, something I would have never attempted with another leash.
Of course, not only are they strong, but they're the best looking collars out there. Finally! There's no need to compromise strength for fashion (or vice versa). I don't mind admitting that I own quite a collection of their belts and bracelets too. I deserve spoiling sometimes. -

What a cool store - what great people - what great COLLARS! I am all for local, hand-made, quality products - especially ones that look bad ass on my pit bulls! Ana was so friendly and non-pushy when I stopped in to talk about the collars I want. I love the shop, great location - and while I have yet to purchase anything I'm sure my dogs and I will love the quality and material. Christmas may come early this year kids!

I love my dogs' Paco Collars! Everyone there is great and I've had nothing but great things to say about Paco Collar! I actually purchased my dogs' collars before they had the retail space, so i got the tour of the production space when I went to pick up my custom orders. Paco the dog was a gracious host and you really get a sense of what the label is all about when you get to meet Ana and Paco in person. It's one of a kind and superb quality product that will make your dogs stand out from a crowd regardless the size or breed of your dog. I always get compliments when I take my dogs out and they just love the attention that they get. My dogs wear their Paco collars with PRIDE! To some the price tag might seem a bit hard to swallow when compared to regular store bought collars. But I think a good collar is money well spent that will last you a long time! Just think, that's the amount of money you would spend on a good night out with a few good friends. So why would it be considered too much when it's going to be worn by your dogs 24-7 for years to come! Ana is super flexible if you ever need any custom orders if you don't mind the wait.

I STRONGLY believe in what you buy is what you get! I'm in the process of getting a new Cane Corso puppy this Summer, this will be my third dog. I have a Yorkie who is two years old named Lucius and a rescue name Cher who is around 4 years old and I adopted her from http://hopalong.org I orginally fostered her. However I needed a really good collar for my new BIG dog to come. Something that was strong, sturdy yet very fashionable. My dogs always get the best of the best!! I must have looked at 20 different websites for the perfect collar, the look, and the style! I didn't want to buy a cheap fake leather collar to only replace it again soon. I wanted something that was durable and very nice looking at the same time. I was at my wits end when Paco Collars was my last website to view!! I looked through their website and was in awwww!!! They were hand made, real leather not fox fur leather (that's cheap crap if you ask me) you pay for what you get is what I say. My wife thought it was crazy to spend that much money on a collar! I disagreed. When I want something I want something, and if I'm spending thousands of dollars on my new puppy I'm going to spend hundreds to make sure he has the best shit ever!! I oredered the skeleton and crossbone collar I think it's called the Uba, and I also ordered the matching leash to go with it. Iam in the process of ordering my two other dogs some matching collars as well. I was really amazed how they built their collars from scratch and amazed on how GREAT the leather was!! When you get something hand made, it's a once in a lifetime product that is being made for your special friend. They put their hard work into to make it what you want. I love that about Paco Collars, and I will be a lifetime client. I will NOT go anywhere else!!! Ana Poe is a rock star and I haven't even met her yet!! Thanks Ana!!!! Ana is the shit if you want a Paco Collar. The prices of what you get is well worth the investment for sure!! Live a little and spend some money on your dogs!!

Paco Collars Rock! We have three collars and they are in great condition. Ana and her team really care about the quality of their collars and stand by the product. In this day and age, that is amazing. Some people might find them on the higher price spectrum, but the quality of the collar means they will last longer. We have purchased other collars, but usually end up having to replace them due to poor craftsmanship. Not Paco Collars, they are still in good shape and worth the price. Besides, Ana offers ways of getting her collars -- The Barter Policy.

You can't buy a better collar than a Paco Collar in my opinion. Hand made, beautiful and made to last.
The have a collar named after my boy Sherman who has since passed away. We bought the same one in a different color for our new boy Maximus. Both collars were works of art that really matched with our dogs looks and personalities perfectly.
When I remember Sherman I remember that he looked amazing with his Paco collar.

The people at Paco Collars are great, and their collars are even better. A bit pricey, but they are very heavy duty, and I am sure it will last for years to come. My dog is a bit rowdy, and goes to day care everyday, which resulted in his nylon collars falling apart every month or so. His new Paco collar looks 10xs better and is holding up much better. They are very customer orientated, and rushed my dogs collar so it would be done by his first bday party.

Paco Collars makes the most enduring, classic collars that never fail to enhance the image of any dog sporting one. Ana is a talented designer and has an eye for just what collar would suit your dog. My dog's collar has been bitten through by one of his rough and tumble pittie playmates twice, and Ana fixed it right there in the workshop in about ten minutes, no problem. Everyone is welcoming; you never feel as though you are a bother, as can be the case in other retail establishments. She also strives to make her collars affordable so that every dog can have a chance at looking super-awesome. All-around good karma, for sure.

Anyone who knows me KNOWS that I'm all about my dogs. Actually, I'm all about dogs, mine or yours! I went to a dog function a couple of months ago and Paco Collars was there. I had already seen their work via a client who wore one and was instantly mesmerized by the craftsmanship and detail in these collars. I have three dogs, but I decided only one of them could pull this collar off. I went for the Jojo which is simply a piece of art for that piece of your heart (aka your dog). It arrived this past week and my husband and I ceremoniously put it on The Buster and our jaws just dropped. He looked fantastic in it (warning: your dog will get a big ego from this addition to his attire ; ) and people who usually stop to admire his blue eyes (which we call "Newman's" in honor of Paul Newman) are now asking about his collar! My other two dogs aren't quite sure what to make of this special gift for just one of them, but I believe they're about to go on strike if they are not similarly adorned. If you love your dog, you MUST give this place your business! It's worth every cent (and then some). Also Ana and Tim were wonderful to talk to at the function and after the sale. Very responsive and professional. I'm completely satisfied!

I cannot say enough about Paco Collars. Hand tooled leather collars of the finest quality for your pet and you. Owner Ana Poe is amazing in her creativity in the art of of matching a collar for your pet or a belt for you. Iam all about supporting the grass roots small business especially when the quality is as amazing as it is at Paco Collars. i found Ana and the super awesome artisans at Paco Collars back in 2006 on the web. I offered to barter for a custom collar for the love of my life and a matching belt for me. Ana taught me how to work leather so i could make them myself. I spent many hours in her basement beveling and oiling leather leashes and such. Sad to say my beautiful dog died suddenly before i finished her collar. Ana and all at Paco collars were totally there for me as i went through putting my dog down. These are people who LOVE dogs.In the end Ana made me a bracelet from the old collar my dog had been wearing for most of her 5 years. That was almost 2 years ago and i still wear it everyday. I would give Paco Collars 100000 stars if i could. Check out the website and support local artists.

These guys are so awesome! Tim took the time to help me create my own custom design (given the size constraints for my "small dog" collar). Then once the collar was finished, I took it home (along with my matching bracelet) and decided I really wasn't feeling the color scheme of the gem stones. They let me hold onto it and have my dog wear it for a few days, just to be sure of my feeling. Then didn't charge me a cent for me to bring it back and have the gem stones replaced with a different collar. Not only that, they didn't even charge me anything to change out the gem stones on my matching bracelet. It was very clear to me that my happiness with the custom collar was their "job 1." I can be kind of neurotic when it comes to my dog and my virgo tendencies don't help with the need for perfection, but these guys didn't even bat an eye and made me feel totally comfortable with my additional requests. Not only are they great to work with, but the quality of the end product is completely superior to anything you'll find in a shee-shee dog store or an online catalogue. These guys just rock! You will be more than satisfied with your experience!

Paco Collars makes the best quality leather collars I have ever seen, in beautiful, customizable designs. Everywhere I go with my dogs, i hear "Look at their collars!" and admiring people ask where I got them. They stand out among the wimpy fabric or cheap leather collars out there. When I email with questions, they've always been incredibly helpful, even going so far as asking for pictures of my dogs to give me better advice. These collars really hold up: in the ocean, in the mud, with a dozen other dogs biting them and shaking them, everywhere! I wish I lived further north, so I could stop by the new store, but for now I get my Paco Collar fix online. Also, the people behind the collars are amazing: when I was struggling to find the money to pay for my dog's emergency hospitalization, they gave a very generous donation that helped tremendously.
