what more can I say...gelato....is just dynamite..... yum!
They let you taste everything.
Best flavor is mixing the salt gelato w/ the dark chocolate. ;D -
Review from Ed L.
The gelato here is worth a visit. The cafe itself is really spacious and inviting with several armchairs and cafe tables. There were a lot of flavors the day I went although some reviewers seem to have gotten unlucky with limited options. Every gelato flavor we tried: 6 different flavors including the mint chip, cherry, and chocolate, were all very creamy and delicious.
The affogato however was served ice cold. I think the espresso was colder than the gelato. Nevertheless, the espresso was strong and the gelato was good. My kids and I were enjoying ourselves in the beautiful cafe but abruptly had to leave because I was unable to get change for the parking meter from the employee at the counter. I complained about this and the owner replied on Yelp really quickly and assured me she will address the issue. I appreciate the owner's concern and it makes me want to return and try more flavors and give the affogato another try. -

I had an very unpleasant experience when I went to Paciugo today.
I was really looking forward to trying this place out because I've heard great things from my friend. Problems started from the beginning. All I've heard is how Paciugo has so many different flavors and the friendliest staff. This was far from the truth during my visit.
First, there were about less than 10 flavors available when I went. Less than half of the display had flavors. They didn't have any of the flavors that my friends had recommended which I was disappointed about. It was a super hot day so I was in the mood for something fruity. I ended up trying tutti frutti, blood orange, and green apple. Tutti frutti was my favorite. I thought the green apple wasn't as tart as I expected it to be. The gelato is actually nice. I like how it has more of a smoothie texture. I'll give Paciugo that. It was very refreshing. I just wish that more flavors were available because I don't drive down to this area often.
My biggest problem was with the service. All I ever hear about is the great staff that are super friendly and enthusiastic and excited about having you try their gelato. My server today was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. It was a man that was working this day. He was very quiet and had a very bored expression on his face the whole time he was helping my group. I felt so put off by it that I wanted to hurry up and leave. So we pick our flavors and went to cash register to pay.
While we were paying I looked up this place on yelp so I could check-in. Then I realized that there was a special offer available with a purchase. So I brought it up to the guy who was helping us and asked if I can redeem my check-in offer. And then he had the nerve to SCOFF at me say... "uh, it's a little to late for that" in a VERY CONDESCENDING TONE. I was just like, "But I purchased something." And the guy told me "well you should have told me earlier because I have to put it in the register at the same time. If you want it you'll have to purchase something."
OK..I understand the fact that maybe you can't redeem things after you've purchased your item. But I wish that he wasn't SO RUDE about it. I mean at least say ..."I'm sorry but I can't because.....blah blah blah" instead of SCOFFING at me and then saying "uHHH it's a little to late" in a very annoyed manner.
Bad service really ticks me off. I will not be coming back. I hope other people have better luck with this place because I just don't put up with bad service. -
Review from Erica J.
I so so so wanted to be amazed and delighted and fall in love with this place. It's across the street from the beach and less than a block from Hermosa Beach Pier. There's a big, beautiful photo mural on one wall of the cafe of what looks to be somewhere in Venice, Italy. It has high ceilings and an airy feel, with large, stylish leather armchairs positioned around one corner, just opposite more traditional cafe tables and chairs.
There didn't seem to be that many gelato flavors on Saturday though, when I went, although there were still about 15 flavors. Of the flavors that were there, most of them were super sweet and what I consider the more creamy/rich flavors. I saw one sorbetto. I guess I'm just used to the availability of more light, fruit flavors. Most of the flavors had chocolate as the base or as one of the ingredients; and while I generally like chocolate a lot, I was in the mood for something lighter.
I tried four different flavors, and the woman working behind the counter was nice in letting me sample the variety of flavors. None of the flavors really struck my fancy, but I ended up choosing the sea salt caramel and the peanut butter for my small affogato. An affogato is basically gelato with hot espresso poured over it, striking a nice balance between hot and cold, slightly bitter and rich and sweet. Paciugo has a small and a regular affogato option, with the only difference being that the small affords you two different flavors of gelato and the regular gives you three. At $4.99 for the small, it's not a bad deal, given that two scoops of gelato will usually run about that much at most places.
The sea salt caramel was too salty and cloying in general, tasting more like butterscotch than caramel. At first taste it was okay, but I did not even finish half my scoop because of the heavy salt/butter aftertaste. The peanut butter, on the other hand, while not a great choice for the affogato, was great! I'd come back for that, perhaps in an affogato with cioccolata (hot chocolate), which they also have.
Back to the affogato. The affogato was all wrong when it came out, nevermind that I had picked two flavors that did not work well with the espresso. The espresso was not even lukewarm. I understand that the gelato cools down the espresso a lot, but if the espresso was hot to begin with, it should at least be lukewarm by the time it pools around the scoops of gelato. It was like cold soup, so I asked if I could have some hot espresso to add to it. The woman on staff was super nice and insisted on making a new one with fresh espresso for me. I thanked her. Unfortunately, the espresso was still not hot (and I wished I'd just gotten a small shot of extra hot espresso). This time, at least, it wasn't chilled.
I know Paciugo cycles through their long list of flavors regularly, so perhaps I'll just have to keep going until I find something I like. The texture of the gelato is really nice and creamy, and the peanut butter flavor really is great for peanut butter lovers (as I am). Perhaps I had too high expectations or perhaps they were having an off-day with their espresso machine. It seemed they were out of a lot of things that day too, as they had run out of whipped cream to top off the affogato and soymilk as well. Maybe next time? -

I cannot think of any gelato shop that can compare to Paciugo! They had so much variety and so many flavors that I had never heard before. I decided on 3 different flavors-the red velvet, the tiramisu cheesecake, and the coffee gelatos. I was very impressed with the freshness of all the gelato. Apparently, they make it daily....you can tell! The Red Velvet was perfectly sweet and cakey and the coffee was on point. I wasn't in love with Tiramisu, however. It's okay, because I am sure I will vist this place again and will try more of their gelato.

What could make a trip to beautiful trip to The Strand even sweeter? A sweet treat from Paciugo Gelato & Caffe Hermosa Beach can.
My friend and fellow Yelper Mary Ann V. stopped by here after jogging at the Strand and lunch at Hermosa. I've heard from other Yelp friends about this place and wanted to see what this place was all about.
As I saw on my trusted Yelp iphone app, a special for those who check-in. It was for 1 free blended drink with a purchase (note you have to read the small letters carefully because it is buy 1 get 1 free frappe or frizzante. I originally thought we could buy a gelato cup and get a drink free but you need to buy a drink to get a drink free.)
My friend and I got a piccolo gelato cup (3 flavors) and two drinks.
The piccolo cup is $4.49 and one frappe is $4.99.
My drink of choice was the frappe (gelato shake) with berry white gelato and creme brulee gelato.
The drink was delicious! It was basically like drinking ice cream or in this case gelato. Smooth and sweet it was the perfect treat for a nice day in Southern California. I loved the berry white. You could taste the sweet berry. The berry flavor was just right. It was not sour at all. The creme brulee added a nice mix as well with it's small touch of custard and caramel flavor.
I think the drink is a good deal for $4.99 over the gelato cup because the drink is pretty big! They put in a good serving of the gelato in that drink.
This is a nice little place on Hermosa Ave and a must try at least once. It definitely is a nice place to go to after beach day.Listed in: The Best of the Beach Cities!, Southbay Sweetness

If you like gelato, you won't believe the flavors. How about "Organic maple caramelized Bacon," or "Mediterranean sea salt caramel?" All I can say is awesome! Will definitely return.

There is a gelato place in Hermosa Beach, get outta town! I was so happy that it was true as I was celebrating a new deal that had closed. Since my aunt and I could not get wasted, (it was the mid afternoon) we decided on getting gelato wasted instead.
This store is cute, has plenty of room and smelled like heaven as we opened the door to enter in.
I admit I was a tiny bit overwhelmed by the huge selection (about 40 different flavors were staring back at me from the enclosed glass).
-Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel
-Vanilla Lavender Chocolate Chip
-Tiramisù
-Maple and Caramelized Bacon
-Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
-Amarena Black Cherry Swirl
-Black Pepper Olive Oil
In addition, many more that I cannot seem to remember!
Customer Service was top notch and effient. I tried the Mint n Chip and Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel. I was amazed that he could scoop two flavors in such a small cup. All I could think was... He got skills yo! I loved the cute small clear green spoons that they put in your gelato.
He handed me my cute little cup, and I could not wait I had to try it now! I took a small scoop of the Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel, umm wow where has this been all my life. It's salty and sweet with the drizzle of caramel throughout the gelato. The mint n chip was minty and sweet. I decided to get creative and mix the two, all I can say is you have to try it. It's salty, sweet, and minty with each bite.
I think I just might go on a yogurt hiatus after this mouth-watering experience. I am now a happy convert to gelato!Listed in: Kickin It In The South Bay!

We came here last night for the first time when we failed at our plans to go out for dinner and decided to give emerging a second try for dessert. I am so glad we did! The gelato here is so good. I really like the array of flavors they had to offer. It was a great mix of creative, artisan combinations and more traditional, less adventurous ones. I too was tempted by the black sesame seed because its shade of gray is pretty much my favorite color. However, there were some flavors that just called to me more. I got a medium with three scoops - gingerbread cookie, sea salted caramel, and amaretto stracciatella. They were all delicious, but the amaretto was the winner for me. SO delicious! My fiance got flavors like chocolate frosting, chocolate and peanut butter cup, cookie dough - just to show you that they have offerings for all tastes.
My fiance had a latte as well and said it was very good.
They are located just far enough south of the pier that parking isn't really a problem. We chose to stay to eat our gelato there, and I am glad we did, because it was a nice place to hang out. Everyone there was happy and friendly - employees and guests alike. Also, I am thankful they are open late, for weekend workers like myself. It's a big bummer to want to try to a place and discover it closes in the early afternoon. Like a party where everyone's invited but me. Late night hours win. I'll be there.
I think Paciugo and Umami, which just opened down the street, are going to be a match made in heaven. :) -

Redondo Beach, CA
So many different flavors and everything I tried was delicious. The one thing I noticed was this gelato is quite different, its made with just milk so it doesnt have the soft velvet texture you usually get. 0 cream, im not sure why its called gelato? It really seems like a low fat ice cream; bu regardless its absoluty delicious and way better then anything at cold stone or 31. Banoffee, Lemon Custard Fig Ginger Swirl, Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel, Amarena Black Cherry Swirl. It gets wild. Everything is made fresh, the staff is very friendly and dont get upset when you try samples, and enough seating inside and out.

Best gelato place I know of. Been here twice now and both times went home with a massive take home tray of gelato flavors. I love how they rotate flavors here, the lady told me they have about 400 flavors they go between! Wow!
The gelato here is just better then anyone else near by. It tastes better, it stays fresh longer, and there are more "substance" and creativity in the flavors.
Can't say enough or much anyone else hasn't already. This place is top of the line Gelato. -

Paciugo, Paciugo, Paciugo! Excellent gelato just a stones throw away from the Hermosa Beach Pier where the rich kids ride their bicycles to the beach side bars and badly named Asian themed restaurants. Hermosa Beach is a haven for what remains of the classic California ideal of the super fit, sun kissed, and rich walking about the shore with their designer dogs. In spite of it all, I always want to go back for Paciugo's gelato.
I'm not an ice cream fan, but I am a fan of good food. This little gem serves salted caramel, black sesame, pumpkin pie, and even olive oil flavored gelato and every last melting drop is super yum! Their espresso is even worth a visit. There's something wonderful about sitting in a gelato shop savoring salted caramel gelato and sipping on espresso that makes all of life's troubles pause for a minute to relish a moment of sweet delicious bliss.
If you're ever in the South Bay to watch some volleyball or stroll along the shore, make sure you swing by this little culinary sweet shop. It's worth the calories. -

I'm a sucker for exotic flavors
I'll take flavors like black pepper olive oil and black sesame over vanilla or chocolate any day of the week!
That is why I loved Paciugo. They offer some of the most unique flavors of gelato I have recently come across.
Paciugo is a large gelato bar, located in the beautiful city of Hermosa Beach. The inside of this shop is quite large, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. This place has a HUMONGOUS gelato menu. They have created well over 100 different flavors, about 30 of which they offer daily, which is actually a large amount. Besides gelato, Paciugo also features a vast array of coffee style beverages.
The day my wife and I went, as always, I was feeling adventurous but my wife was not. Since they had so many amazing sounding flavors I had no choice but to go with a 5 scoop gelato cup. My wife did the same. These are the flavors we ordered;
Me- Chocolate Chipotle Butter Pecan, Black Sesame, Maple Caramelized Bacon, Black Pepper Olive Oil, Lemon Poppy Seed
Wife- Crunchy Chocolate Swirl, Crème Caramel, Hazelnut Mocha Swirl, Stracciatella, Sea Salt Caramel
And after I polished off my 5 scoop cup, I went back and decided to get just a single scoop of Pink Lemonade because it sounded so refreshing.
Every flavor of gelato I had was fantastic. Out of the five, my favorite was the black sesame, with the maple caramelized bacon coming in a close second. What I love about Paciugo's gelato is how distinctive each flavor is. I could easily take a blind taste test with their gelato and have no problem naming what each flavor is. Paciugo's flavors are that distinct. My wife also loved her gelato.
The prices and service at Paciugo are both excellent.
If you live in the South Bay and are looking for a wonderful sweet treat then look no further than Paciugo. I also love the fact that their open so late (10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends), making this place a perfect spot for a late night treat.Listed in: When it's cold outside.....

The gelato was pretty good here. I can't say I have a lot of experience with gelato though so maybe my palate isn't defined enough.
I did not, however, enjoy the service. The 'waitress' stared at me for about five minutes not helping me to decide (no line behind me). As soon as I sat down and people watched, I noticed she's the happiest person in the universe once there was a line (and her friends were there). Nice job turning on the charm for the other customers. -

Organic caramelized maple bacon! Yup you heard right!!! OMGoodness It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory! http://www.yelp.com/bi...
I tried the Mediterranian Sea Salt Carmel, Black Pepper Olive Oil and the Maple bacon. All were very unique and very delish! I like buy vanilla bean ice cream and drizzle olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt at home so the flavors I tasted were based on what I like (sweet/savory). The sea salt carmel was sweeter and I didnt taste the salt much but it was still very good. The black pepper olive oil you can taste the pepper on the back end and the olive oil made it even more creamier. A very unique taste and tasty. The maple bacon however was my fave of the 3. Jeez bacon makes everything taste better right!!! There was a good amount of bits of bacon swirled inside the creamy gelato. One taste and you just had to keep eating it till it was all gone.
It was bacon meets gelato love yummy goodness!Listed in: Ice Ice Baby

A++. Make a trip here if you're looking for something exotic and delicious on a hot summer's day. Heck, I'd make a trip here rain or shine.
Paciugo has a mulitude of flavors to choose from...from the simple Strawberry sorbet to the complexity of lemon custard fig ginger (milk-based).
+ Lemon Custard Fig Ginger - My favorite of the day. Creamy lemon flavor with a fig. If you've eaten Fig Newtons, you'll know what fig tastes like...cinnamon-y, nutmeg-ish. I could not pick up the flavor of ginger so much, but it was still decadent!
+ Campfire Banana - Tasted like a riped banana split...carmalized banana split!
+ Watermelon - Sorbet. Very refreshing and light.
Flavors I tried, but did not choose for my "Piccolo" cup (3-flavors):
+ Maple Carmelized Bacon - I tried a bit of this and to my surprise, it tasted like bacon! It also has bacon bits in it!
+ Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel - It tasted exactly how it sounds, but very typical. Skip this and go for the unique flavors!
+ Pistachio - That's pistachio alright! Pure pistachio taste.
+ Black Sesame - It looks like cement, but it actually has a very interesting flavor to it. It tastes like sesame for sure, but I can't quite put my finger on it...
+ Black Pepper Olive Oil - It has a very tiny kick to it, and a suttle olive oil, milk-based flavor.
Service: Warm and friendly.
Parking: You're by the beach so expect to pay for metered parking.
Tip: Free samples, so try all the flavors you want!Listed in: The Best of the Best

I eat gelato almost every day, it's a ritual for me. I decided to try Paciugo for a change from my whole foods gelato bar habit. The girl helping me was very nice and the gelato was good but....
First of all, the prices are crazy. Way too expensive for the quality you are receiving. I could hear the staff complaining about being there since 10AM, which as a customer I do NOT want to listen to. We asked a question about the coffee, and after it was clear the person behind the counter didn't have any knowledge about it, we asked the manager, who was very rude and seemed irritated to be spoken to. As much as I want to support local places, Paciugo is not a place I will return to.Comment from Brittny B. of Paciugo Gelato & Caffe 8/28/2011

Was searching the South Bay for some good Gelato and from what I've been reading and hearing from people, its very scarce. So I decided to come here this past weekend and give it a try.
Not just any type of gelato though. But somewhere that makes it in house and does not import it from somewhere else. (Luckily I found the spot that does it)
As I walked in, the place was very quiet but yet had a cool ambiance to it as well. It's one of those places that you bring a book to read, listen to some good tunes on your phone/music playing device, people watch from the outside chairs or else just come with friends and enjoy some great gelato on the inside leather chairs.
After sampling a few of their choices, I ended up going with a combination of the Mint Chocolate Chip and the Vanilla. (2 of my favorites) And yes.. they were quite amazing.
The server there was quite helpful with recommendations and gave excellent service.
Just one more excuse to come to Hermosa Beach. :)
I'll definitely be back for more.. -
Review from Antho L.
If there are two ingredients that should not go together, those are black pepper and gelato.
I stopped in here one day to treat myself to a cold dessert since it was so hot outside. I"m surprised I hadn't heard about this place because looking on Yelp, it appears a lot of my Yelpee buddies had already written reviews on this place.
Well, the day I went, they didn't seem to have much of a varied selection as everything seemed to lean towards the chocolate side of the flavor spectrum. I asked to sample a few of what was available and I don't know why but I decided to have the Black Pepper and Olive Oil and Mocha gelato flavors in a cup.
The gelato was nice and creamy I was able to finish my treat but I could taste the black pepper somewhat lingering on my tastebuds as an after taste. It was probably not the best of choices I could have made but with the limitations I had, I wanted to be a little adventurous. It didn't taste that bad when I was sampling it but after I had finished, I decided I probably wouldn't ever order it again.
The girl serving me was patient enough as she was the only one there and was busy trying to make more flavors in the back too. She said they had somewhere close to 360 flavors and I was wondering where they were because they certainly weren't in the display case.
I would probably call ahead next time if I were going to go specifically to this place to make sure they had a lot more flavors available as it appears that they are limited during the day during the middle of the week.
Nice location by the beach but as with the beach areas, parking is extremely limited. I was able to park in a 15 minute parking on the street a few yards up however so if you just want to run in and out, that would be your best bet. Otherwise, good luck with parking. -

I went to Paciugo tonight after having a home-cooked dinner, and was pleasantly surprised by how DELICIOUS it was! They have a wide array of interesting flavors - everything from Bubble Gum, Rose Chocolate Chip, and Biscotti. The best part is that if you order a small, you can choose up to three flavors!
I sprung for the Wedding Cake (sweet and very good) and the Amaretto Chocolate Chip. Although the cups look small, the gelato is pretty rich and you feel like you're getting a lot!
I will definitely come back! It's become a new guilty indulgence. -

There are so many flavors to choose from at this place I don't know where to begin. I ended up going with the Key Lime flavor and one thing I liked about it was it was not too sweet or rich. I'm not sure if that is characteristic of all Gelato flavors but it was with this one.
The employees were real cool and didn't seem bothered that I asked to try something like 10 flavors! :) The place itself also sells coffee and basic drinks but the star of the show at this establishment is the Gelato.
Another thing that must be noted is there is public parking right across the street from this place. I think it was something like two bucks for two hours. You have to put your money in a central meter by the B of A that takes money for all the parking spots.
Also, the Hermosa Beach Pier and boardwalk is literally across the street from this place. So if you go and have some delicious Gelato try taking a walk on the beach and pier to burn some of those calories you consumed at Paciugo. -

Hands down, BEST GELATO I've ever had. This place will always be my first gelato love, I'm sure of it.
I was introduced to this place by my friend, Stephanie L., who is a repeat offender (JK!) with 15 check-in's and has been there twice last week. :D
The Flavors: They have the most interesting flavors that are always changing, so there definitely is something there for everyone. I picked three flavors: Strawberry Lavender Chocolate Chip, Banana Heath Crunch, and Wedding Cake. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to taste the lavender, so I'm sure they put in a lot of effort in developing the flavors. I think I'll try the more adventurous ones next time, like Maple Bacon and Sea Salt Caramel.
The Taste: The gelato is amazingly light and airy, you don't feel like you're really eating anything, except for bursting flavor. I could eat it all day and not get full. Guilt-free dessert! Amazing!
The Scoop: You can pick up to 3, 4, or 5 flavors for small, medium, large size cups, respectively. You can also choose waffle cones. What gelato place lets you do that?! They're pretty generous too.
Drinks: They also have a good selection of their own coffee, blended gelato, and beverages like San Pellegrino.
Great service, clean, cute Italian decor, comfy couches. How are there ONLY three locations in California (Hermosa Beach, Thousand Oaks, San Francisco coming soon)?!
I just know that I'm going to be supporting this one a lot! -

Deeeelish!!
They have some awesomely weird flavors like salt sea caramel, black sesame, and olive oil and black pepper. They sound extremely funky, but they actually taste pretty good. Paciugo's also offers different flavors every day, so it's a toss up when you go in what they'll have. I sampled about 10 different flavors, and they were all tasty. I can see how this place does really well during the summer because it's so close to the pier and the beach too.
Love the decor also! Totally Italian!!Listed in: Delish Cuisine in the South…

My family raves about this place so I had to check it out during my visit in LA. 80% fat free and good? hhmm...
I ordered the small with 3 flavors - dark chocolate, brown sugar waffle cone and peanut butter oreo. Very good quality and you wouldn't even know they were 80% fat free. It was smooth and creamy.
I heard the black sesame one is good. There weren't any exotic flavors when I was there except for the black pepper but would've been nice to try the strawberry lavender or the maple bacon. Next time! -

Stoogie and I weren't necessarily in need of a gelato fix when we stumbled into Paciugo's. But, after seeing their creative flavors... like maple carmelized bacon, raspberry lavender chocolate chip, black pepper olive oil, and chocolate mediterranean sea salt caramel. I sampled a lot and all were pretty yummy. But in the end, I got me a cup of the peanut butter chocolate chip that had the right proportions of chocolate and peanut butter. Not overly sweet. Just the right blend. If you raised your eyebrows to the bacon one, it was a nice balance of salty and sweet with tiny bits of bacon lightly sprinkled in. Convenient location if you're wandering around hermosa lounging. Otherwise parking is a bit of a challenge. There are 2 Chicago locations - lakeview and lincoln park so... see y'all there!

Best Gelato in the South Bay and could be the best Gelato in Los Angeles. Here's why:
7. The flavors change from day to day, depending on the ingredients they prepare freshly for this creamy concoction.
6. It was rumored that Michael Douglas frequented this establishment during his treatment and ate Sea Salt Caramel every day. I'm not saying it cures cancer, but he's married to Catherine Zeta Jones...so he must have impeccable taste
5. The Olive Oil and Black Pepper Gelato tastes just like how Grandma use to make it...
4. The Service is impeccable...probably because they just have to scoop it, but they are great in letting you try every flavor.
3. Strawberry Lavender Chocolate cures male pattern baldness. Side effects include getting fatter and blaming it on my aging metabolism.
2. Organic Maple Caramelized Bacon. It's why Bacon was made.
1. And the biggest reason to love Paciugo: Cuz I said so...and a few hundred other peopleListed in: Essential Southbay, It's so good, it's Double…

I FREAKING LOVE THIS GELATO CAFE!
[+1] Okay, first off, I'm not usually a gelato fan and my friends know this. There's just something about it I don't really like... Usually it's too soft or weird for me. However, my friend decided to show me this gelato cafe and from the FRIENDLY service to the 1999347856347856345 samples the lady was awesome enough to let me try, I have FALLEN IN LOVE -- with the sea salt caramel... and actually many of the others... xD I come here at least once-twice a week. (; I am seriously addicted to this place. They'll need to create Paciugo Anonymous just for me... D;
[+1] ** The lady was SO nice. She asked me which flavors I wanted to try, so I decided on 3 flavors because I didn't want to feel like a leech or bothersome... but she started scooping out of EVERY flavor and DID NOT let me feel bad or feel like a leech -at all-. I had such a huge pile of spoons when she was done -- LOL! She was like, "Try this! Oh you must try this!! Did you know this is one of our POPULAR flavors?" She also explained the ingredients in the gelato! SO nice. I love her. She recognizes me now because I go so often. xD They also give huge portions for the cup size! I always get a small though which is $4.96 I believe? It's worth it to me. (:
[+1] Their flavors change everyday! They create SO many delicious flavors that I haven't tried them all yet. Everytime I've gone they've had Sea Salt Caramel though, thank goodness! LOL! If I die from hypertension, I want it to be from this sea salt caramel. It's so worth it. xD
[+1] The texture of their gelato is so smooth and tasty even though they don't use cream! So it's 'healthier' than normal ice cream... In addition 70% less fat than ice cream! I don't care how stuffed I am before coming here. I will ALWAYS ALWAYS have room! The gelato is so light and great texture!
[+1] The cafe is super clean and open til 10 PM (11 PM on weekends), so sometimes we just chill here a bit! It's also located on Hermosa Way near the pier and other restaurants so we can come here for dessert! I live about 15 minutes from here but I don't care how far I have to drive. I must have Paciugo! Oh, be aware if you're going to park close by on the street, watch out for the signs and be sure to bring CHANGE. Otherwise, if you don't mind the 10 minute hike I'd suggest parking at the park.
My goal is to show this place to ALL of my friends! (:Listed in: SERIOUS COMFORT FOOD!

SO VERY VERY VERY GOOD.
This place was awesome. Sort of reminds of Scoops in Los Angeles. They had all kinds of unique flavors such as maple bacon, warm apple pie... etc.
I ended up getting lemon, tutti frutti, and tiramisu. SO GREAT. The flavors were so amazing and they give a lot! Quality of the gelato was GREAT.
I need to go back and try all the flavors. Best gelato I ever had hands down... So far :)! -

Best after dinner stop in Hermosa. Staff are always friendly, the selections is great, but most of all, the taste is amazing!!

I am not a huge dessert person but had some since we were already here and a friend loved this place. Had the tutti frutti flavor. Very good. Taste reminds me of the berry smoothie from costco-except all handmade and natural ingredients. Hmm. wonder what costco puts in their smoothies.
Everybody in the group enjoyed their sorbet/gelatos as well. The ladies behind the counter were extremely nice-as there were quite a number of people in the shop and everybody wanted to try this and that flavor. -

I love this place!!! My friend and I have made this routine stop every other week. I'm so glad I don't live close enough to eat here everyday. I don't have a favorite flavor yet but I do love the chocolates and turtle gelatos.
Made fresh daily!! YUMM..
