I love Pacini's! The food is very fresh and tastes homemade .... rather than the usual fare at most local Italian restaurants. THere is a Bertucci's up the street from Pacini's but we always pick Pacini's over the chain. Their red sauce is excellent...wish they would sell it in quart containers. Wonderful thin crust pizza and fish dishes as well. Personable, attentive wait staff.

This is not the most elegant dining spot but the food is hearty Italian fare. The eggplant is particularly good and the staff tries very hard to please. I have used the catering menu and my guests have been impressed. I have never left this place hungry or less than satisfied. I like it much better than the "fancy" Italian place around the corner that other reviewers have mentioned.

It is what it is: and old school Italian-American joint. Pizza, pasta, and Italian specialties. I got the Pasta Primavera - plenty of veggies but the pasta was gummy. My wife got a spinach ravioli - they were pretty good and home made! Best of all, they had a plate of noodles and sauce in front of my daughter within minutes of sitting down.
Was the food great? No, it was fine (though there may be better dishes on the menu). But it was pretty cheap and our kids were happy. We'll be back. -

When Bertucci's moved in around the corner, I think this nice little Italian restaurant took a hit. All of the Needham High kids started spending their lunch hours at the Tucc (trust me, they're there).
If you want a "gourmet" pizza (and those rolls), you go to the Tucc. If you want some solid Italian food and a much more traditional Italian pizza, you go to Pacini's.
Simply said, I never have a bad meal at this place. If you stop by for lunch, go to the back counter to peruse the menu and place your order, then pick your drink and take a seat -- or order to go. They'll bring it all out to you. The place doesn't have any sterile pizza shop feel to it. It's definitely a restaurant. If you go at night, you get full service sit down.
They have great pizza, great chicken and eggplant parm subs, and some excellent, substantial-portion pasta dishes. They too have rolls! I admit, not quite as good as the Tucc rolls, but good rolls nonetheless. Also, for your sweet tooth, they always have a nice selection of cannolis and other Italian desserts -- one chocolate cake on display today had my mouth watering.
Next time you think to go to the Tucc in Needham, you may want to give Pacini's a try instead. You'd be supporting a local shop and I don't think you'd regret the decision!Listed in: Needham Eats

I love grabbing lunch at this hidden gem in the 'burbs. At lunch time you order your food, grab a drink and have a seat. They will bring your food out to you. In the evening it is table service.
The food is very fresh and tasty and you can tell they take a lot of pride in it. My favorites are the prosciutto sub (which comes with a LOT of prosciutto and the bread is soft and fresh) the sausage cacciatore (for less than $10) and the cod parmesan (like chicken parm but with a thick, tasty fillet of local cod. They buy the fish fresh and local - NOT frozen.) -

Good Lunch Spot. Set up so that you go to the back and order at the counter, then find a seat and they'll bring your meal over to you. Good list of things to choose from. All fresh food, made fresh, quickly.

Some will understand when I say the following: These guys know how to make baked eggplant...and they take the time to do it right. The same care shows through in everything else I have ordered at Pacini's with genuine consistency. And, the service is friendly and efficient.
