Being a dog walker myself, I have seen many situations where I wished I was able to let a dog's parents know just how their dogs are being taken care of (or rather not being taken care of). There are so many walkers out there who give the rest of us a bad name. Then there are walkers like Sarah, who give us a lot to live up to.
When I am at Fort, Funston I often see Sarah and she is all about business and I mean that in a good way..SO many walkers stop and chit chat with other walkers allowing their dogs to get restless and wander off or get into trouble but Sarah is always moving forward and well, doing what a dog walker should be doing, walking.
As I started my own business there was noone that helped me more than Sarah, and I have modeled my business after her's as much as possible. Sarah is by far the hardest working walker I know, must be the good ole midwestern values in her!
I recall one day being at Fort Funston and seeing Sarah and her pack. She did not see me as she was very focused on her dogs. She was so focused that she did not notice that every dog owner and walker was stopped in their tracks watching her. Reason being, Sarah had her entire pack in a sit or down stay position about 10 feet from the water bowls. Most dogs charge up to the bowls and help themselves. However, Sarah's dogs were only going one at a time and only when she would give them individual permission. It was one of those things you just had to see. It was remarkable to say the least.
Sarah is so much more than just a business owner or a dog walker, boarder, pet sitter..she also works with your dog and assists them with training to help them be the best dog they can possibly be. She specializes in long walks for more active dogs, she is a necessity for anyone with an active energetic canine. Any pup walked by Sarah is a lucky pup! -

Pacifica Pet Care and Sarah are WONDERFUL and do their absolute best to please their customers! Sarah goes out of her way to accommodate fellow Pacificans and others that know their level of commitment, caring and communication are A+ ! We will use them without hesitation in the future to watch our family of dogs. Sarah is a most compassionate person!

wow. just wow. i've used many different services over the years for my dogs, but nothing has come close to what sarah provides. not only did she update me regularly when i left my extremely hyper doberman in her care, but i got pictures showing just how much fun he was having. and when he came home, he was cleaned and tired! my only regret is that my dog is probably happier with her than me!

Sarah watched our puppy Corgi for the first few weeks of her life in Pacifica. We wanted our dog to have the best in-home care available and thats what we got. Sarah even carried our dog in a little dog hammock on her usual dog walks when she was too small and didn't have her shots.
She is a fantastic trainer and it shows in the results you get from the animal. PPC will always have a place in our home and with our pet. -

I thought Sarah and Johanna did a great job watching our elderly cat while we were gone. They took care of her very well and emailed me every day with updates so I would know how she was. This made me feel a lot better about leaving her behind. Thank you!!!

My wife and I just went on a trip to South America. Sarah and her team were left in charge of our house and two dogs. While we were in Argentina, our 11 year old dog Eloisa became deathly ill. Sarah kept her cool, acted in a most professional manner and took all the proper steps to get Eloisa proper medical and hospital care. Eloisa is still alive today thanks to Sarah and her great team. Any of you who hires Sarah and her team are very lucky indeed. She will give you wonderful service and always be 100% dependable and honest. She also gives value for money.

We had planned on going out of the country for 2.5 weeks and needed somebody to take care of our dog. We had used a boarding kennel for two long weekends, and while it was just fine, I had a gut feeling about them that I didn't like. While it was a longer drive to meet up with Sarah (35 minutes instead of 15), it was WELL worth it. I just knew that she loved dogs, and that our dog would be in great hands.
I just got back from picking our dog up from the 2.5 weeks with her, and you can tell that he's had so much fun. He's lost weight and gotten more trim (which he does anytime he's boarded, since he runs around so much), but I feel so much better about him being in a home with somebody, instead of locked up all night. I also love that she takes him on walks for several hours a day, so I know he's getting the mental and physical stimulation he needs. I know I made the right decision to go with Sarah/Pacifica Pet Care, and will do so in the future.
I know when I read the Yelp reviews, I was slightly suspicious. Who gets ALL five stars?? Sarah deserves them though!

Sarah has been the only pet sitter my boyfriend and I have used for our 2 pitbulls, a male and female. The pups can be very high strung at times, full of energy and always ready to play.
Not only does Sarah play with the dogs until their hearts are content, she brings toys for them to chew to pieces. Sarah even walks both of them at the same time by herself, which can be quite intimidating.
My boyfriend and I sometimes make plans to go out of town last minute, and Sarah has always fit us into her schedule. She sends text and picture messages to let us know how things are going, and leaves notes detailing what happened while we were out.
Sarah also takes care of our cat while we're gone. He's low maintenance and very skiddish, but Sarah feeds him and tries to get him to come around.
Definitely worthy of a 5 star review. -

Sarah has been my pet sitter since last summer. She is completely dependable, proactive, friendly, and most of all, the pets love her. My dog especially loves hanging out with the overnighters and the daily walk crew. It's such a relief to have my dog watched either in my house or over at Sarah's, versus shipping her off to a kennel and the price is completely competitive. I highly recommend Pacifica Pet Care.

After reading the reviews on yelp for Sarah, I was not too surprised that I would end up happy about her taking care of my pup Izzy. What I was surprised about is 'how happy' I am with her. She's completely exceeded my expectations and I have to say, I feel so secure with her taking care of Izzy. The whole service is so worth every penny, and the person attention that Sarah gives is priceless. I just hope that she doesn't plan on re-locating because both Izzy and I would be devastated.

We'd never used a pet sitter for our cat, but after moving to an apartment without access to the outdoors we needed someone to look after her when we're away.
We can thoroughly recommend Sarah's service. The price is right and she's honest. And our cat was so well adjusted when we came back from a 3 week vacation that we'll definitely use this service again. I think the cat enjoyed her break just as much as we did.
Sarah also took care of our fish tanks and plants, for a very reasonable additional fee.

Sarah watched out kitty for almost a week while we were out of town. She did an amazing job. She kept us updated on how he was doing and even sent pictures. We came home to a very happy kitty, that gave us a warm welcome, but did not seem lonely or grumpy at all.
Sarah is amazing. Reliable, great with animals. We feel very fortunate to have found her. -

What a great service. My husband and I had to go out of town for a funeral. Usually we take our dog (Murphy) and bird (Shorty) with us when we travel but this time we were unable to. Melia from Pacifica Pet Care came over to meet them and get an understanding of their needs while we were gone. She was very professional and we were able to leave knowing Murphy and Shorty would be in good hands.
I especially liked the text message updates while we were gone. I highly recommend the service. -

Sarah and Dino are THE BEST!! You couldn't ask for more from these two -- they treat our pooch like he's their own and are utterly professional and trustworthy. Our dog adores the Pacifica Pet Care buddies he has made (they are his "pack"), and the days he goes out with Sarah and Dino are always his favorite. Sarah keeps it fun for the dogs and changes up where she takes them each day. Our pup comes home happy and exhausted from their adventurous walks!
Sarah is responsive and accommodating to our schedule even when we have last minute requests (sorry, Sarah!). On top of all this, she is knowledgeable and always happy to give helpful advice on caring for our dog's health.
Pacifica Pet Care has a lot of heart, and we feel lucky to have found them! -

Sarah and Dino have taken care of my cat Finnegan several times, now, and I always come back to a happy and relaxed little guy. And, my apartment is always spotless (sometimes better than the way I left it!). I am a major worrier when it comes to leaving my cat to go out of town, but I have learned to trust Pacifica Pet Care so much that I can more fully enjoy my travels and worry less about what is happening at home. I highly recommend Pacifica Pet Care!

We have had several dog walkers/cat sitters over the years. Sarah is by far the most reliable, affordable, and reasonable person we've worked with. Completely trustworthy, great with animals, and takes her job very seriously in that your pet's happiness is her #1 concern. Leaves great, friendly, and detailed notes after each walk. You really feel like you get your money's worth AND that your pet is in the best hands while you are away. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Sarah is wonderful with our animals, two cats and a dog - we've used her on 3 or 4 occasions and have found the service to be reliable and trustworthy. My dog adores her and I've actually seen her out running with the dog pack at Ft. Funston - no wonder the boy comes home tuckered out! We will definitely continue to use this service.

Ever find something so good you want to keep it a secret?... well Pacifica Pet Care is one of those things-- but I know how grateful I have been when others have passed on their great finds to me so I'm paying it forward and letting you know that you WILL NOT find better care for your pets than with Sarah at Pacifica Pet Care.
She isn't just wingin'it or doing this on the side, but this is her fulltime profession and she takes it seriously. She is reliable, honest, caring and responsible. The only bad thing is that your pet *may* like her better than you. She goes over and beyond the definition of pet care--pet paradise is more like it. You won't be disappointed. -

Pacifica Pet Care is the only company I would entrust with our Shih-Tzu Allie. They have kept her overnight now on several occasions when we travel and I think she goes through withdrawl when she has to come home! She has so much fun with Sarah and all the new friends she meets and gets such an awesome workout each day on their many walks. Sarah is an excellent professional and communicator, sending us daily updates and photos so we know how Allie is doing. They really are THE BEST! You and your pets deserve such care and attention.

Sarah and Dino take care of our lab several times a week. He gets great exercise and socialization with other dogs. Comes home nice and tired after a day of fun walks and excursions. They care about the dogs that they watch over. We found them on Yelp, and now have to agree with the others. Highly recommended.

As the owner of a rambunctious border collie, we have gone through our fair share of dog walkers. When we moved to Pacifica, we asked around to find out who was best, and one name kept coming up. Pacifica Pet Care goes above and beyond so often. They have taken our pooch last minute and for long stretches when we are out of town. They are great at sending text message updates or leaving notes to let us know how the dogs day was. Scheduling for the week is a breeze. We just let her know, and she'll come pick up the pooch. She's even worked with us to help train some of the bad habits out of us (yes, I recognize that we the owners have as many bad habits as the dog). Anyways, she is reasonably priced, and head and shoulders beyond any other dog walker we have ever had AND you can tell she loves what she does. Highly recommended, A+++++.

It's been over a year that I have found Sarah and she's been taking care of my dog since. Every day, also when we go away. I can't even imagine my life without her. So is my dog ;) It feels good to go to work, knowing you have nothing to worry about all day, your little "baby" is in good hands. My dog got so much training from her just by spending every day with her. She always texts me what they do, where they go. Sarah truly loves her job, she's a wonderful, honest person, cares about each and every dog and always adjusts her schedule to your needs.

We are so fortunate to have found Sarah and Dino (and Van!). We have 2 somewhat challenging dogs and despite having trouble with several previous dog walkers who only walked them around the block-PPC not only tires them out but also socializes them with other 4 legged friends. We have worked with PPC for over 1.5 years now and they are very reliable and certainly well worth every cent! We can not recommend them enough!

Sarah is the only person i would ever trust my dogs with. Not only is she professional but she puts in the extra care to assure you that your babies are being taken care of. She currently walks my two chihuahua mixes and they could not be happier! Everyday when she picks them up she makes sure they have a sweater if its cold, and when she drops them off she will leave a little note about the day. At times i will be running late from work she will even feed them and make sure they are ok before leaving. She notices small things about your pets like weight gain/loss, muscle tone, behavorial changes and reports all of these things to you reguarily. Not to mention my dogs go crazy every time they see her and it makes me wonder if they wish she was their mommy instead ;) Anyway sarah is so nice and attentive to your pets, you will always know how their day is going and how much fun they have had!!
