First I need to say that I love going to the movies. I know it's probably easier and cheaper now days to wait for Netflix or other quick services, but I like the experience of the big screen, popcorn, etc. This theater offers all of that and more.

Here's what I like: Spacious seating, large theaters, great selection of sodas/snacks, clean restrooms, validated parking, movie time selections are great.

The only con (and reason for only 4 stars) is their matinee prices are $10.50, which is almost double the prices of AMC ($6).

Other than that great, beautiful theater.

I've been to the movies here 3-4 times; I'm not much of a movie-goer overall.  This theater is clean, has comfortable seats and a lot of screens, and could use more restrooms (they're all up near the front, save for what appear to be single-person wheelchair-friendly restrooms down the hall).  The concessions are, unsurprisingly, stupidly expensive.  Don't spring for that $4 bottle of water, 'cause you can ask for a cup and just go to the drinking fountain nearby (feel free to accuse me of being cheap, but a bottle of water just isn't worth $4.  That's two meals at Del Taco!).  I'm always sort of tempted to get a soda because they have those fancy Coke machines where you can mix sodas and syrups, but again: I refuse to pay movie theater prices (they have those machines in fast food restaurants).

I like that there are computerized kiosks for tickets so that I don't have to wait in line.  Tickets here are expensive, which is another reason this isn't my top choice of theater.  Don't forget to bring your parking stub in with you, there's a machine you can validate it with (I also hate paying for parking, but in this case, it would be dumb to not validate).

Average prices for tickets and concessions.  I would like more creative options for concessions, but they have the standards covered.  They do have the new style Coke fountain dispensers.  You get a lot more options with them.

Seats are moderately comfortable and in good shape.  We were in a small theater.  The experience was not affected by that though.

The one issue i had was that the restrooms are outside the ticketed area, inconvenient.

    They validate parking.

    Good
    1. 4 hour parking validation - but you do not need to buy a ticket, the validation counter is at the guest services desk and anyone can validate their parking you do not need to show a movie ticket

    2. Automated movie kiosks, so you do not need to stand in line to buy tickets

    Bad
    1. 12. 50 for Tin Tin 2D, not sure how much 3D tickets cost

    2. No reserved seating

It's one of the few theaters where I actually have trouble watching a movie.  I can remember seeing a dramatic film with some quiet moments throughout and then suddenly feeling a bassy reverb effect throughout the walls of the theater.  It finally occurred to me that there may be an action packed film playing next door, which affected my film-going experience.  Until they update the rooms themselves in being more sound proof and being able to absorb bass, then I will be a more avid movie-goer to this theater in particular.

    Dereliction of duty!

Last night (a Wednesday night) it was dead at the theater and the staff was milling about aimlessly when we exit our movie about 7PM.

Why then was the bathroom so disgustingly filthy?

The vast Americana complex is pristine and special; but not the movie theater's bathrooms. That, my friends, is a clear reflection of staff negligence.

I gotta hand to the creators of this theater.. Great job... I remember the old Pacific Theater in Eagle Rock mall which is a small 4 room theater.... I never knew they were going to rebuild a huge 18 room theater in Glendale....

I forgot what the first movies were shown when this theater first opened.. But we came here a few weeks later in a weekday to avoid the massive crowd of the opening event of Americana... I was in a awe from the designs of the ceilings once we stepped in the doorway...

The first thing I did was check out the sparkling clean restrooms...  We love all the theaters having recliner back seats and so much leg room.. I'm 6 feet tall and I need a lot of leg room, especially when people are getting between your row but they did a great job on that...

The concession stands have more selections of bon bons and candy... The soda machines is crazy.. So many flavors of coke, sprite, orange, cherry flavored.. I can be diabetic soon if I come here everyday drinking all these carbonated drinks..

Parking is plenty in a 5 floor structure... 4 hour validation if your going to watch a movie..

It is kinda weird and you might get lost the first time there to look for your theater room but I love the way they remade Pacific Theater..

First time going to this theater  in the Americana ; I had gift certificates . Guess what ? They don't honor them for new releases. Nor do they have gift certificares for  unrestricted movies.  You have to wait weeks. Bogus!  I had to pay OOPC.  BTW the movie sucked so bad too( The Devil Inside) Their theaters are not as big as the AMC.  My party and I had to sit all the way in the front. I am currently suffering from a stiff neck as I am writing this review. I do have say, we didnt have to pay for parking due to validation. That was a plus. But I will not return their again!

#402 Parking's a cinch in the parking structure across the way, plus you get validation - so long as you're watching a movie. I appreciate the grandeur of the interior, but it comes off with a museum-type of vibe. I want to feel comfortable in a movie theater, not tense and nervous about talking too loudly. Regardless, the seats in each room are plush and relaxing to sit in for hours. The bathrooms can be either a hit or miss. But, coming on a weekend seems to ensure that the employees will be doing their jobs. I'm not a fan of their exorbitant prices, though I understand that it takes moola to maintain the facilities. No way would I drive out of my way to see a movie here, however I appreciate its existence.

The theater is within walking distance of where I live so I frequent it a lot.  Overall the theater is very good.  It is very clean and well maintained.  There are ample screens so there likely what you want to see will be there.

The concession stands are above average in their selection.  I'm a big fan of the server yourself butter (my doctor less so), the pop corn flavor toppers (chedder, garlic and herb, etc) and serve yourself soda fountains.

I have had a few bad/annoying encounters with people who talk at the movies, check their phones and display some less than ideal behavior.  It's hard to knock the theater on that... but it has happened more than I'd like.

The Pacific Theatres at the Brand are a nice theater to see a movie. The lobby area is large, and so are the concession stands.

In the day time they have "Mommy and Me' screenings for women to bring their kids. I accidentally bought a ticket to one of these when I went to catch a comedy. The cashier didn't tell me what I was buying. But that was okay, the kids were pretty well behaved and there was plenty of room in the theater down front.

I went back a few weeks later to see sci-fi movie. And this time I got Pizza from the concession stand. It was pretty good for movie theater
    pizza.

Parking is close at the Americana, and they do validate.

Theatre has variety of sizes of movie theatres. Spacing and sound is pretty good leading to a quality experience. Wide walkways as you enter help the queuing for new releases so you do not feel claustrophobic or trying to wrestle through the crowd to your movie.

Food: Lines are always long. You can expect to spend at least 5 minutes in line - not sure if this is a movie scheduling issue or understaffed concessions.

Validation: 4 hours free for Americana.

I have become a big fan of this theatre... here is the thing. I like to sit near the front. Because I am weird and I like to have the least number of people around me when I watch a movie and that open space happens more often up front :)

These theatres are PERFECT for my weirdness... they are huge and when you sit in the front row you are still somehow really far from the screen. With tons of open space in front of you.

Parking is a dream in the parking structure. It is nice and clean.

Plus there is a Cheesecake Factory nearby.

It would be even more PERFECT if it was in Burbank :)

Pacific Theater at the America is currently my local theater, so yes I come here often when I don't want to drive out. Every time I been here, it is clean, organized and the restrooms have always been spotless. The theater has a charming hallway, chandeliers hanging on the roof, and the beautiful curbed mural painting facing the entrance of the theater. Inside, the theaters are stadium seating, the seats inside are very comfortable (and spacious), but yes some of the theaters are too small for my taste. Oh and the crowd, not always the best to watch big budget movies with (boring). If you like to clap, cheer, and enjoy blockbuster movies with equally enthusiastic fans, this is not the theater for you.

As mentioned in other reviews, a highlight of the theater is the 'Coke Machine' with a touch screen and tons of possible flavored combination, but I am not a fan. I like my coke to taste like coke. So, the few times I have tried to get a regular coke on "the awesome coke machine", it always came out tasting like something other than coke. No thanks. What can I expect from a machine where tons of flavor sodas come out from the same dispenser?

I do not like that this theater does not have a rewards program or movie member card. For movie watchers like myself, we do appreciate getting perks for being regulars.

For those who like to have a nice lunch/dinner before or after a movie, there are plenty restaurants to choose from. Those who like to shop, also have plenty of choices.

What a gorgeous theater, I always feel like I am in a old school 1940ish styled theater. Seriously one of my favorite things is walking inside and looking up at all the art work and just the nice pretty lights.

Each theater like many others have different sizes and depends on what you will be watching. Box office hits that open during the first week will of course be in a large spaced area. While the other movies that have been playing for awhile get the smaller ones.

I like the seats they are pretty comfy and honestly I feel like a kid when I am sitting in it because of how much space it is between each seat. :) I love it.

Can you believe they have vanilla coke? This is one of my favorites and I am super duper glad they have it. I also enjoyed all the different types of salts/chedder things which is pretty tasty. Try white cheddar I believe is the name and it will blow you away. I swear this place makes me feel like I am a kid, getting to eat all this yummy junk food. MmmMm!!!

The only thing that I think this theater is lacking is having some sort of point card for customers that show up to theaters and pay for tickets. They aren't cheap and really if you are paying for two it is almost like buying the movie already! But still a great place to be and watch a movie. Don't forget to validate when you come out, which makes the parking free!

I've seen some great (The Dark Knight) movies and "tear your eyes out" terrible (Dragonball: Evolution) movies at this theater but one thing that never changes is how consistently clean and organized this place is and how helpful the staff is as well. Considering how messy and disorganized the average state of theaters can be, those two factors are a big deal.

Small art deco details within the lobby also harkens back to the Golden Age of Hollywood and gives this movie theater a more classic feel that most.

Make sure to get your parking tickets validated before you leave!

This place was really nice when it first opened, but its had a pretty quick decline. The entrance is huge and nice - kind of reminds me of the theatre in the grove.

The movie theatre is stadium seating and pretty generic.

They have these new drink machines that are pretty cool. You can get ice and press a button on a screen to get your soda all from one machine. The retarded part about it is the old soda machines are right behind it so its kind of a space suck. I don't get why they havent removed it yet.

The bathrooms are repulsive. On my last two visits the bathrooms have been disgusting, they look like they havent been cleaned and are always neading a re-up on supplies. I mean i shouldnt be like goldi locks and having to hop from stall to stall until i find one that has toilet paper and set covers.

I really do not like the Americana because I am not a shopping or a materialistic person unlike the 90 percent of people that go there. I love this theatre because they have those futureistic vending machines, and its the only decent theatre in Glendale. This place is where me and my friend go to watch movies.

Security there takes their jobs way to seriously and needs to get their heads out of there asses. The Arcade is pathetic. 2 and a half games. Bathrooms are nice. Theatre itself is nice

Probably my favorite theater to go to in the LA area.

The seats are great, the entire establishment is beautiful, and the staff is extremely friendly.  The only reason they get only 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 from me is because of the confusing parking garage.  Valet on one side, self-parking on the other, okay.  But all the twists and turns then trying to find the stairs to go back down to the theater...It's a bit too much.  But aside from the parking confusion, a very nice theater.

This theatre has all the common attributes of a new complex - lots of low-capacity houses, stadium seating, high-back seats (which always makes me worry about head lice) with movable armrests, over-sized screens that the projector lens can't handle, and digital sound and sometimes digital projection.

Thankfully, the place avoids poorly marked ticket kiosks and a rat-maze layout. It's also fairly new (opened in May 2008) so it's not dirty, yet. The hallways are like big and wide with chandeliers like a grand hotel unlike many theatres where there are no open spaces to handle the crowds. I also really like the 40 to 50 foot tall lobby rotunda with the large curved art deco-styled mural. The mural ties into other paintings that decorate the Americana mall. There is 4-hours of free validated parking.

I'm loyal to Regal and AMC because of their rewards programs (well, not so much for AMC anymore, since they got rid of MovieWatcher), so I usually don't go see a movie at another chain.  But we had a group activity here for work, so I got to experience it for free.

The coolest thing about this theater is the Coke machine!  It's called the Coca Cola Freestyle machine, which is a touch-screen soda machine that gives you all kinds of cool flavor combinations (such as Peach Sprite, Raspberry Coke, etc.).  It's all self-serve too, so if you don't like your drink, you can get something else without fear of wasting your money.

The bathrooms were modern and clean, and the theater validates up to 4 hours for parking.

My only complaint would be that the theater we were in was very small.  We watched The Hangover 2, which has only been out a week, but the theater (theater #2) was surprisingly tiny.

Came here on a semi-rainy day to see a flick...
Doesn't matter what flick since the review is about the Theater itself.

Simple for me to say this:
    Disorganized...Not prepared...

So they didn't let us in because they didn't clean the theater after the last movie ended so a few of us were sitting and waiting...so half hour before the movie is to start we ask again...and no...still not ready...WTH???
    She told us 15 minutes...
Okay so still waiting and along line is forming waiting to give ticket so we can get into the next section of the Theater...
It caused confusion as other movies were starting and people thought we were just a normal line to give our ticket to get in....
Finally about 15 minutes before the start they let us in...I mean come on you need time to use the restroom buy sodas/snacks...and find a set and relax don't you!?!?!?

Anyhow, they either need to hire more people or figure out a better way at what they are doing....

I put tis towards bad Management!

I love Pacific theaters more than the others these days.
You have to come at the right time though or else you will find yourself paying upwards of $13 per person!

The inside is just like any other Pacific Theaters. Its got that art deco vibe.

What's the MAIN draw though? The AWESOME soda fountains!
They have the new soda dispensers that literally has EVERY kind of soda (owned by coke only of course). Raspberry Sprite? Orange Coke? ALL there.
HAHAH is it weird I'm singing praises about soda in a theater review? Lol.

I really hate how this theater has wayyy too many small theaters though. If I am paying $$$, why can't I sit in a large theater?

This is one of the nicer movie theaters I've been to in a while. It's much nicer than the old Pacific Theatres by my house in San Diego and also feels more upscale than most of the larger Edwards Cinemas in my area. The prices for sodas and popcorn are cheaper than Edwards, and the seats are very comfy. No student discounts here which is kind of a bummer, but if you get here before 4pm on weekends and I think 6pm on weekdays then you only have to pay for the matinee price. As of a week ago, the price for a general admission adult ticket was $11.75.

The coolest feature about this movie theater that others have also mentioned are their touch-screen Coca-Cola machines! Each machine has over 100 flavors of various Coca-Cola products. I saw these machines on a Coke documentary on television maybe a year or so ago, but this is the first place I've ever seen them in person. Basically you select which product line you want (let's say Coke) and then it brings you to another screen with all different variations of that product (Coke, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, Lime Coke, Orange Coke, Raspberry Coke, etc.) then you push the main button for your drink to dispense. It's pretty fun!

Also, the theater does free parking validation, so you'll have time to watch a movie and walk around Americana for a bit without having to pay for parking.

Large theater, but that's about all that's going for it. Sound was kind of funny, and it stopped in the middle of the movie! Came back about 2 minutes later and we were given a free ticket each on our way out, so can't complain too much. Popcorn was mehhh and the lines at the concession stand moved ridiculously slowly. Also, not the theater's fault but super annoying -- teenage couple next to us in the theater kept switching between making out or looking over at us. Ugh. Not the best experience for $12.50/ticket.

I went to watch Contagion last night for the 10:40 pm showing and it wasn't the best experience I had. The second I walked in I was surprised at how tiny the room was.. It may be because the movie has been out for over two weeks now but there was still a good number of people.. Besides the tiny theater room, the theater does have really awesome soda dispensing machines that has over 30+ choices of beverages to choose from.

    Great theater.

We came here to see a movie with my bro-in-law and his gf, who lives in San Gabriel, so this was the location of choice.  Most of my moviegoing has been on the west side and to be honest I doubt I'd travel to Glendale to see a movie but i'm happy to have seen a movie here.

First, Google Maps led us to the Glendale Galleria, not Americana at Brand, where the theater is housed.  Plus - free parking without validation.  Minus - trying to figure out where the theater is.

Tickets were $9.75 which is less than many westside theaters.  Concessions were slightly more expensive than I'm used to but the popcorn was fresh and they have those snazzy new coke machines (where you can choose from like 100 varieties of soft drinks).

The theater was clean and the screen seemed enormous.  Acoustics were good and there was plenty of legroom between the rows.  You can also move the arm rest up if you want to get cozy with your seat neighbor.

Bathrooms were really clean as well.

If I'm in the area I'd definitely consider visiting this theater again.

After sitting thru a focus group for a screening, we were given a couple of freebie passes for a Pacific theater (which didn't include Arclights...boo!) This Americana stationed movie house was our closest bet.
    We were not disappointed!
    Comfy seats recline.
    Restrooms are clean.
    Screens are ample.

And they validate parking for 4 hours! Woo!!
One and a half minuses: depending on the day and time, you might have to walk thru throngs of teenagers...and driving thru that parking structure is a little awkward.

This is one of my favorite theatres to go watch a movie. Yes, it is more expensive tha if you go to the Mann theatres across the street, but the location itself is much nicer.  The theatre itself isn't that old, and you have very comfy, plush seats that recline back.  The arm rests also can be moved up allowing you to cuddle with your significant other while watching a movie.  The bathrooms are large with plenty of stalls so you don't have those "lines" leading out the bathroom door (very important for women).

The theatre offers 4 hrs validation, so if you time it right you can squeeze in some quick shopping or a quick meal before the show.
