I am a wedding planner (and previously a music booking agent) that has worked with Randy Harris for many years. Randy is the consummate professional... detail-oriented, conscientious, polite and very skilled at what he does. Randy has all the trademarks of a great DJ. He has excellent equipment, knows the repertoire (all types), works hard to do what is requested of the client, yet remains flexible on the gig so that if the party is beginning to wilt (sometimes because the clients' songlist isn't doing the trick), he figures out a way to revive the party! It's often a fine line between what the client wants and what an experienced entertainer knows will work. Ultimately it comes down to knowing when to follow orders and when to step in and be "the expert." Randy is extremely adept at this, never creating bad feelings, in my experience, just doing his due diligence in seeing that the ultimate goal of throwing a great is met.
When I need a really classy, polished DJ, who knows how to properly host a wine country event, Randy is the person I call. I would highly recommend him to anyone! -

Randy was the DJ for our wedding. He was very professional but also very down to earth and fun. He had us fill out a detailed questionnaire form a few months prior to our wedding to ensure what we wanted was delivered. Surely everything went smoothly! Randy also coordinated up-lights for our reception tent, which helped create a cozy atmosphere. He kept track of the run-down and my hubby and i are very pleased with him :)

Donny Bishop was the DJ at our wedding and we couldn't be happier!
We were in contact with a DJ through our wedding venue (all the way in Gilroy) and due to some scheduling problems, we were given Donny's contact info a month before the wedding. Despite that, Donny did a GREAT JOB in getting all the music that we wanted and being in contact with us when we continued to make last minute changes.
He had our guests dancing all night, but most of all, he was on top of his game and kept the reception on time from Entrance to Toasts to Dances, Cake Cutting etc.
If there is one DJ that I would totally recommend from Pacific Entertainment, it is definitely DONNY! Thanks so much Donny! -

Randy recently DJ'd our wedding, and we couldn't be happier. He listened to exactly every request I had for what type of music to play when. And some was fairly obscure - bossa nova to re-mixed lounge music.
He also did a great job of keeping the wedding on schedule despite a few challenges.
I was so happy to see my guests on the dance floor at the end of the evening bustin out their most ridiculous dance moves. The last shuttle to the hotel was full, and I attribute people having fun to the great music/ambiance that evening. Thanks Randy! -

Randy was the DJ for our wedding. His services actually were part of our wedding package, but that didn't stop him from doing a fabulous job. He was able to put together some pretty obscure music for our ceremony, and listened to all of my concerns about music for the reception in general. He was awesome at playing ALL of the songs I requested for our dinner hour (everything from The Pixies to The Flamingo's) and had some fun dance music. He was great at letting my daughter lead some "dance lessons" of The Hustle and the (gasp) Electric Slide (she learned these in PE) and honored my wishes to NOT have the Macarena!
All in all, he was fabulous and I would use him again in a heartbeat (even if he wasn't part of a package deal!)Listed in: Sadie Sadie Married Lady

I recently had my wedding on August 1, 2009, and I would never recommend Pacific Entertainment Business for any special event - especially not for one's wedding.
I had a difficult time getting in contact with both Randy and DJ Jeno. Despite my efforts to plan well and in advance, neither of these DJ's made any effort to meet me halfway. They didn't respond to my emails, and they hardly returned any of my calls. The only time they did pay attention to me was when our wedding banquet center (who contracts them out for their DJ services) put some heat on them per my request.
One HUGE mistake they made (and the owner, Randy, is solely at fault for this), is that they completely dropped the ball on the uplights we had ordered. Since our reception was an evening dinner, we wanted to enhance the dark reception room with some uplighting to make the ambiance light. I emailed and called Randy a month before my wedding to verify and comfirm my uplight details, but he never returned my call or replied to my email. So, fast forward to a week before the wedding when I called Randy again to confirm my uplights, and his shocking answer was, "I haven't even placed the order for your lights. I don't even have you down as ordering them."
My jaw literally dropped over the phone, and I had to refrain from turning into a Bridezilla. Had Randy paid attention and responded like he should have a month ago when I tried to confirm our uplights, there would not be this last-minute problem.
Now, when it came to DJ Jeno (who was our DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception), I was sorely disappointed with his work. In fact, the night of our wedding, my husband and I actually couldn't sleep because we were both upset over how poorly DJ Jeno handled our event.
To begin with, he did not get in touch with us before the wedding at all, despite the owner telling us he would. We left voice messages several times to no avail. Finally, we got our wedding banquet center to put some heat on him, which resulted in his first call to us. We briefly reviewed our ideas and plans for the reception, but I had a feeling after that first call, I would have to pull some teeth if I ever needed to contact him again. Sure enough, the week leading up to the wedding was difficult in that I could hardly get to talk to DJ Jeno, and despite sending him our offical reception timeline of events and other details, I had little confidence that he was exercising due diligence on his part in preparing as a DJ.
On our actual wedding day - DJ Jeno continually had to walk up to my husband and I (in front of our guests, and while we were seated at our head table) to ask questions like "What's next?" "What do you want to do now?" We gave him a timeline a week before!!!! I believe my husband even printed out a fresh copy to give him on the day of, for his notes! DJ Jeno was very sloppy, unengaging, disinterested, and just purely unpolished, in my opinion.
Despite guests telling us that they enjoyed our wedding, what REALLY counts is how the bride and groom feel about our special day. I'm not a demanding person, nor someone with exceptionally high expectations. BUT, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and angry with Pacific Entertainment's services. I had specific plans and ideas for our wedding, which I clearly communicated and even printed out for our DJs. Furthermore, I PAID for specific services that I had counted on. None of these plans which were the responsibility of P.E. made it to fruition.
If you want to be upset, disappointed, and frustrated on your special occassion, then I highly recommend Pacific Entertainment. Otherwise, I would give them a THUMBS-DOWN. -

I'll up date this review later with more detail. I really want to get Randy's name out there. He was the DJ for my wedding in September and basically I have to say that he was fantastic. He was an excellent DJ and MC, but was never cheesy or "too much." After our wedding, many of our guests commented and complimented us that we had chosen such a good DJ. He played good music and really kept the party going.
