I only took my audi for a routine check up, but the staff there was extremely friendly.  I was able to make an appointment online and when I called to change my appointment time they answered their phone promptly and courteously.  Everything went smoothly and I even stayed a little longer after my car was done being serviced to catch the end of an NFL game on their plasma tv.  I live in Irvine and it's worth it for me trek up to Torrance to service my car here.

I love my temperamental Audi but what makes me love my Audi even more is finding Pacific Audi Service Department in Torrance. I live in the Miracle Mile area and I'm one of those LA-lites who until very recently never went beyond my Westside, Miracle Mile, Downtown, Beverly Hills bubble.

Work has turned me into a commuter and my commute brought me to Pacific Audi. My touchy car decided it was time to shake rattle and not roll right. Normally I take my car to Santa Monica Audi for service...which pretty much sucks...and since Pacific Audi is right around the corner from my gig I decide to give them a try. Guess what...it was GREAT.

They are fast and efficient. Polite and professional. They let you bring you car in any time. No lame appt restrictions like Santa Monica. I called yesterday and they said sure drop your car off anytime before 5:30pm. I wasn't even sure that was possible...to just drop off a car. Anyway, I went in this morning to drop my car off for repair and was outta of there in about 30 mins. Even better I wasn't forced to walk to work, rent a car or ask for a ride. They gave me a LOANER. YES A LOANER. I couldn't believe it! I asked Pierre (the service guy) for a ride and he said why don't you just take a LOANER?!?!?!

I drove off with assurances that my car would be ready by 4pm today. To my surprise I got a  call that my car will be ready by 4pm today. Also, my car needs tires and brakes, which as we all know are expensive at the dealer. Well there wasn't any hard push by Pierre to get my car fixed at Pacific. Just friendly advice about factory parts and a "I understand" when I said I wanted to check prices.

I highly recommend Pacific Audi Service. In fact I'm so happy with them that I will continue driving all the way out here for my car repairs.

*** G'eez, what a tough week ... ;(( ***

first AT&T zings me w/ a $550 overage,
now Pacific Audi wants ... wait for it ...
wait for it ... $3K to repair an 2008 A3!

yeap, i said $3000 for a battery ($400)
and a clutch ($2600).  car is just 21mo
old w/ 41K miles. Service said that the
"warranty does not cover wear items".

ever seen the old '70s film "Network"?
well the news anchor tells America to
open their window, and yell at the top
of their lungs "I'm mad as hell and I'm
not gonna take this shit anymore"!!!
yeap, i'm channeling an old '70s film
to express my eff'n feelings this week.

where has corporate responsibility and
good customer service gone?  India?
i'm certainly not finding it here lately.

i called Audi HQ for a customer advocate
to investigate this matter.  she offered a
15% discount but i verified (by 3rd party)
that the repair ain't even necessary!?! ;(
Service tried to scam me for a $2600
clutch/flywheel that i didn't even need.

time to start writing the CEO to the Nader and
others b/c this dealer is pathetically corrupt.

*** find a dealer hrs away to avoid Pacific Audi! ***

Wanted to buy an Audi A4 but needed to know and feel the difference between the Std auto trans and the CVT  version. When I finally get a sales person attention it turns out he knows nothing about Audis. He explains he is new and has only been working there for about a month.
While I can understand, I think one month is more than enough time to learn the difference in you transmissions and what the different models carry as far as trim and performance goes.
The worst part though is that after asking around it seems like no one in the entire dealership knew anything about Audis. I think I was asking some pretty easy q's, like what comes on the S-line vs. std?, what is the difference between a CVT and a std auto trans? When was the first model year of the current body shape? No one knew the answers to any of these questions, but they all had typical sales man lines ready to "do what ever they can to get me in the car today"
Either they need to improve their product training or hire smarter less scummy sales people.

I've been here several times to look at cars with my boyfriend. The times that we've been here, we were never greeted at all by the sales dept. One time we talked in to look at the Audi Q7 in the showroom, got no help a saleman was busy showing it to someone else. The other time we walked in the showroom and out the door to look at the cars on the side lot and surely again no one came out to see what we were interested in. I was so mad because I wanted someone to help us that we left.

One of the age old questions that's always asked is how reliable your mechanic is.  I've always had difficulty trusting my mechanics, but without question Pacific Audi has earned my trust and my business.

These guys are great.  The well knowledge service consultants are friendly and always willing to help out and give you very honest feedback as far as what type of work needs to be done.  Though they charge dealer prices for work, they also don't charge for many of the "small" jobs that other dealerships would.  Complimentary courtesy car during the week and shuttles on the weekends make this one dealership that's willing to make sure the customer is taken care of.  They also offer great waiting area with complimentary Starbuck's Coffee and water.  My car always comes back in great shape (and if there is a mistake, they are willing to fix) as well as washed.

I've enjoyed dealing with them so much, I drive down from the Lake Hollywood Area (about a 30 mile commute) just to stay with them.  Really make the whole car experience not just tolerable but enjoyable...

Perhaps I shouldn't bring the entire dealership down because of ONE sales person, but the experience was rather on the down side.

Waited for some 15mins before someone from the office came out to greet us. This someone, whom I presume is a manager, has been looking at us behind his glass window (and I can see him as well) for 15mins. Hmm...if I were him, I would have installed one-way mirrored windows.

Next, the sales person. 31 years of selling cars and still selling cars and he finally posed the magic question "So what do I have to do to get you a car today?"

I replied "Don't use that on me." And he kept quiet for a good while.

Bleh.

But at least he let me test drove two models...

Pacific Audi's another excellent service advisor Marc has been helping me last few visits.... very professional, courteous....
however i dont know whats going on service bay......
service technicians not completing the screw the metal pan staged between axle and rotor, not installing the under-carriage plastic shield.
coming back for fix these problems, wasting my valuable work time.... unacceptable.... my profession is corresponding with U.S. DOT and CHP for safety related...heavy liability issue there if my car fails on the road causing accident due to technicians fails to screw parts of vehicles that should be screwed....
