We had an excellent lunch with our family.
Our server Kevin ensured that our meal was full of wine and laughter with his attentive service and humorous nature.
He was knowledgeable about the wine as well as the post-meal espresso options.
Try a cappuccino with your dessert, you will not regret it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ty G.Chicago, IL01Mar 13, 2024

I went wine tasting with some friends for the holidays, and I'm a big fan of cooper's hawk so we decided to try the oak park location. The wine bar is a large L-shaped counter space where you can walk up and check in for a wine tasting. It was the holidays and end of the month, so lots of members were coming in to redeem their wine tastings, and the place was unusually packed. Our group of five had to wait about half an hour for a spot at the wine bar, but it was definitely worth it.
By chance, our wine guide Ryan Sechrest was also my wine guide the first time I came to cooper's hawk, so it was fun running into him again. I always find the servers to be enthusiastic, but Ryan is particularly passionate about wine and was super helpful for me and my group.
I do enjoy dry wines, but my friends definitely lean on the sweeter side. Conveniently, cooper's hawk really excels in many of their sweet wines. Between the five of us, we got to try the bubbly rosé, blood orange, gewurztraminer, chardonnay, white sangria, passionfruit, sweet red, red sangria, vin chocolat noir, and the nightjar. The gewurztraminer, red sangria, and nightjar have always been some of my favorites, but I tried the passionfuit for the first time and really loved it.
The wine at cooper's hawk is delicious, but their biggest strength is probably the pricing. Wine tastings are $15 per person, and you get to try eight wines each. For myself, as a wine club member, I paid ~$40 for two tastings and two bottles of wine. Splitting that with a friend means that I only paid ~$20 total for my tasting plus a bottle of wine. It's an excellent deal, the service and drinks are great, and I would totally recommend it to anyone interested in wine.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Colleen C.Kapaa, HI422Feb 20, 2024
From the start there were people that were seated before us and they came in after us.
Took a while for our server to come to our table.
Finally did and it was difficult to hear her.
Ordered an app came quickly it was okay but we needed more bread for the amount of cheese. That took a while to come.
Entrees were good Chicken Plicata had that bright flavor that you expect for that dish. Someone else in our party ordered the Gnocci Carbonara and the whole dish looked Grey not very appetizing.
Ordered the Banoffee pie and that came looking like nit was sitting in the back for a while as the whipped cream looked like it had lost all of it's air.
Service was okay: When training wait staff please remind them that they need to clear empty plates when they come to the table. Never, never leave a table empty handed when things can be cleared.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 28, 2023
Ok. We made it to Oak Park IL. Monthly Wine Club dinner. Just another amazing location. We arrived 45 minutes early so we had plenty of time to look around even enjoy a wine tasting and conversation with locals.
That is what happens when you are part of the Cooper hawk family. Every customer is family. From the moment you walk into any one of there locations you Are Family. Special guests, special treatment, it is always quality customer service with the best value for the customers dollar. Tonight The 3 course wine club dinner consisted of an elegant arugula salad, Filet Medallions and Butter Poached Lobster. Dessert was Chocolate Raspberry Silk pie. Each paired with a copper hawk wine. Another Fantastic 5 star full of flavors perfectly plated, and served hot and fresh. This Event at another new location for us first time visit to Oak Park. A special Thank you to Aliyah Quintero for her warm welcoming, hospitality, and infectious spirit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 28, 2024Updated review5 check-ins
Had a business meeting after work and such a treat that Chris was our server in training Sommelier. He gave us excellent recommendations and we were treated with lots of attention.
I had the blueberry wine more like a desert wine, but really enjoyed itHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0Oct 23, 2019Previous reviewOur server Alissa was excellent... much better experience than last time. Enjoyed my salmon and the Brussels Sprouts.
Sep 18, 2019Previous reviewWas not happy with my experience yesterday... first off my choice of wine was Pinot noir... I got Grigio instead, I let it pass since it was warm evening and we were entertaining business clients. The appetizers were ok, the calamari and Brussels sprouts don't know how many calories but sure tasted good. So, everyone at the table got their entrees and I was kept waiting for my crab cakes .., very awkward and I am thinking did they go to Maryland to get them?? When it finally arrived I had lost my appetite.
Definitely needs to improve in more ways than one. - Jennifer M.Oak Park, IL13961Apr 6, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
