6 reviews for P.F. Chang's
last night a group of us went to pf chang's after watching the new jacki chan/jet li movie at the nearby loew's theatre. it was the first time that i have been there, but it most definitely won't be the last.
we were there to celebrate a friend's birthday, and she has been here MANY times. and now i know why!
the restaurant is excellent! the food is spectacular.
we started with two orders of one of their appetizers -- chang's chicken in soothing lettuce wraps. i fell in love with this dish and actually wanted to just have it as my entire meal!!! the lettuce was very crisp and very good tasting.
all of us ordered different dishes so that we could share. most of the dishes ended up being chicken dishes, as a result -- ranging from mu shu chicken, to ginger chicken with broccoli to orange peel chicken. all were excellent.
the coconut curry vegetables were awesome. i could have cheerfully eaten this dish all by myself, also.
for dessert there were two orders of the great wall of chocolate. because i cannot eat sugar products, i didn't have any, but everything else oohed and aahed over the cake. here is its description -- six layers of rich chocolate cake frosted with semi-sweet chocolate chips served with raspberry sauce.
You know, PF Chang's is just way too commercial. The food is good, but at this point I'm thinking it's like an Asian Red Robin . . . kinda boring.
Went here on a week night after the snow had finally melted and there was over an hour wait. WTF?! Man this place . . . go somewhere else if you have a chance.

I tagged along with friends that were in town. For some reason they wanted to go and try it. They don't have one where they live, which in my opinion is fortunate.
In my expert opinion on Chinese food, this place sucks!
First off, its sure sign that the food won't be good when you walk into a Chinese restaurant and there aren't any Chinese people eating. I was the only Asian in the place.
Second, what a waste of money. This is family style Chinese food, where the portions should be larger, especially for the price they charge. We ordered one entree for each person in the group and we needed more.
Third, the flavor caters to caucasion people. If you're in Lynn'hood and want real Chinese food with real Chinese flavors, head down the road to Szechuan 99.
Fourth, the service was really slow.
Fifth, I had to ask the manager to turn down the air conditioning because everyone in our group was freezing. Why they would have the AC turned up high on a 65 degree, rainy day is just plain stupid.
If you're hungry and want good Chinese food don't go here!
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
AMERICAN chinese food.
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
OK, I normally don't like Americanized Chinese food, especially one that a chain of this magnitude but I took my extremely picky Asian mom here and it's one of my most memorable dining moments with her (the stars must have all aligned themselves right that night). Our wait staff was extremely courteous, the tea was perfect (all five pots of it), they made the hot sauce just the way my mom liked it and the sea bass and hot fish were exactly what we were hoping for. Yes, we even had desert (although that wasn't spectacular, it capped a great evening). Needless to say, I think I might be going back just because it's one of the few places where my mom did not complain about everything on the menu and she didn't have to cook.
I went to this restaurant in California back in summer of 2007. It was ok..i mean Americanised Chinese food..aight..thats cool i mean what can u expect..right?? WRONG!! i went to this one in Lynnwood at the Alderwood mall..when we entered noone even said hello..the blonde cute hostesses were busy talking(gossipping) and giggling...finally someone gave us a table. the Waiter didnt look like he wanted to be there..finally he took our order..he prepared our sauce..spilled all over the table..didnt even apologise..noone refilled our drinks..when i tried to get someones attention...the hostesses were still gosspping..i will never go back to this restaurant..the food was just ok..service is horrable..waiter was rude..
