I've been to other PF Chang's and this one just like the others has a nice ambiance, depending on where you sit it can be so dark it's hard to see your food.
But the one in Emeryville lacks good service and I think that the cook forgot to read the standard recipes template that all P.F. Chang's probably share in common and just made up his own tasteless recipe.
The food lacked flavor.
Yes and service needs improvement when you have to keep calling someone for service.

I tend to avoid writing reviews about chain establishments...not because I don't frequent them...because I don't' want you to know that I frequent them.

In all honesty, I have never loved PF Chang's; I wouldn't even say I have liked it; however I have tolerated it for the sake of others.

This past weekend after enjoying a movie without popcorn I gave in and allowed "others" to make me eat here.  In a word the food was vile.  The food was flavorless.  The food was insulting to the rich Chinese Cuisine that this establishment says it offers.

What's worse of all, the food was rid-ONK-culously expensive.   I have no problem spending $70 on lunch that does not include alcohol, appetizers, lobster, dessert, a lap dance, show admission...but that damn food better be a the very least edible...this wasn't.

The only saving grace: the service.  Our waitress was very nice, helpful and present.  My only wish was that she worked some place that didn't suck so righteously.

Surprisingly not a two.

Like, I totally expected to label this place trendy and overpriced, but alas my low expectations worked to my advantage and the food was good (well average, no Chez Panisse status here).

We got a lot of food. The friend had a 20% off coupon on Halloween so we decided it was worth the trip. There was no line at all, got seated right away. Gotta love the huge ass bronze-y lion statues decorating the foyer. Kind of hilarious actually. Er, distracted, on to the food.

We got the spicy fish, fried chicken, lettuce wraps for starters, and beef chow fun, with rice on the side. It was $14 a person with tip/tax! And doi the food isn't authentic, this is a chain after all. But the only quip I have is that the food was too soy sauce-y. Maybe it was what we ordered? But maybe it's that PF Chang's actually can deliver good food at reasonable prices when deducting 20% off. Harhar.

Well, not going to venture here again, there's no need now that I know what to expect. Go here if curious. It's worth that if anything. But don't go here as a Friday night destination. Not worth it.

Good date spot btw. Nice seating and ambiance.

I go here because it's convenient and because I love the lettuce wraps and sweet and sour soup.  I always sit at the bar because I think you get the best service there.  They make a mean lemondrop!

Consistently puts out good food. My only complaint would be that in my 3 years of going to this location they took my favorite item off of their menu. The Duck roll things that came with Hoison sauce. But Now I get their Lamb with tomatoes & onions. It is freakin delish. On couple different occasions peeps have told me that I am weird for ordering Lamb and then they taste it and want to eat my entree instead of their own. I also get this fruity Iced tea that they have. For some reason none of the server's ever know what I am talking about when I order it and have to ask their superiors about it. But for your reference it's custom brewed and doesn't come out of the tap. Oh yeah... Chicken Water Chestnut Lettuce Cups are too die for.

When I went here for my birthday I did the prix fixe 3 course menu. Which was really nice. I love the little mini deserts that have that come in mid sized shot glasses. The perfect amount of sweet for me. This location is right on Bay Street so you can hit up all the shops as well!

Isn't this a chain? Shouldn't all PF Chang's be the same?

The setting was nice, but not the food. Ordered the chicken fried rice, which tasted different then any other PF Changs. The chicken was breaded or something. Also ordered the chicken lo mein which was good.  Took awhile to get our food, not sure why it was late evening.

Still will go to PF Changs, just not this one at least not for the food.

This is an MSG central.  Everything is sweet, sweet, sweet, and laden with chemicals.  And yet, it's hard to get in during normal dinner hours.  I just don't get it.  The food is simply very bad - or rather impossible to recognize, because as soon as I bite into it, I get a horrific buzz and can't process anything else that comes out after it.  Although, I keep on eating and eating and eating.  I am not sure if this particular location is especially bad, but I got sick twice after I ate here.  I had food at Palo Alto's PF Chang's and that seemed to go down OK.  Although, the flavors were still similar.  This place is something I would definitely avoid, if possible.

We went for something fill our grumbling tummies, and that's just what we got.  They had a decent sized gluten-free menu with a few vegan options on it, though the under $10 lunch selection is slim if you don't eat seafood.

Service was slow-ish, but cheerful and genuine, and the food was decent.  I ordered the chicken fried rice and was happy to note actual vegetables and chicken were served in the bowl; it wasn't just waved at a carrot and soused with salt.  The portions were good sized, and the house made gluten-free soy sauce was pretty durned good.

It's a good place to go if you have eating restrictions and are dining with a mixed group of folk.  I'd also recommend it for groups and casual to fancy dining.

Completely phony dining experience!  I went for dinner there and I hated the food.

The waitress kept asking us if we wanted to order any more food, like 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks aren't enough for 2 people.  What else did she expect?

There was plenty of food to take home for the next day, but why bother when it all tastes gross!

After doing some shopping my husband and I decided to have lunch with our friend at this PF Chang's location. It was not busy at all for a Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival we were seated by the hostess however our menus and waiter did not come until 10 minutes after we were seated. I can understand if it was busy but that was not the case today. It was pretty slow actually :\

This is what we ordered:

- Chang's Lettuce Wraps
- Crispy Green Beans
- Spinach Stir Fry with Garlic
- Garlic Snap Peas
- Sichuan-Style Asparagus
- Ginger Chicken with Broccoli
- Lo Mein

The food and water came out at a decent pace. For some reason the lettuce wraps didn't taste all that great but everything else tasted pretty good. We especially enjoyed the green beans and that's something I would definitely recommend.

Overall experience (and food) at this PF Chang's was A-OK

Ok, we came here for lunch.  I understand that many people don't think much of this place being an authentic chinese restaurant.  I'll agree on that point.   Yes, it's that overused term, asian fusion.  Well, for a co-workers birthday, it was more than good.

The Crispy Honey Shrimp was very good, and reminded me of a greek dish I had a few weeks ago.  The wok seared lamb was not very good, but the orange peel chicken had some kick to it.

I also like the presentation (clever marketing) of the desserts.  Crammed inside a 3 ounce glass, you feel like you are getting a tremendous dessert, but you really probably just had 1/3 of a real dessert at 70% of the price.

Server was on top of everything, which is great when you are pressed for time at lunch.   So, we got out of there in good time.

Serving sizes are half of what you'll get at other PF Changs. Food came out fast, but we had to order more (aka pay more) because it was less than expected.

Server was very funny, though, and the atmosphere was your typical cliched pretend-Chinese.

If you're looking for a desert that'll blow your mind, try the coconut ice cream with carmelized bananas (which are wrapped like egg-rolls and encircling the ice cream).

Oh and they always make sure your glass is full. I drank four servings of Black Iced Tea. I'm pretty sure I was shaking (OD caffeine? or internal body freeze) all night.

Yuck! The bf and I were gonna catch a movie and had to eat in a hurry.  This place was below standards even for a PF Chang's!  Only mediocre item was the lettuce wraps. This teaches us a lesson for eating at a Chinese chain restaurant when we're so spoiled by the more authentic Chinese food in SF.

This PF Changs royally blows.

The service is HORRIBLE. Somebody should give these waitresses a pep talk, because wow are they lacking! They all seem to gather around in the kitchen area chit chatting with one another and then when it's time to serve you, they come to your table with an attitude like you're bothering them or like they could give a fuck less.

One time my boyfriend and I literally had to seat ourselves in a half empty restaurant while these idiots were doing god knows what ... I would say blowing the chef, but since the food is disgusting, overly salty and sub par they couldn't be doing that. The Manager however..... that would explain how they keep their jobs. Hmm.

There is one waitress an older lady (30's plus), she's pretty on top of things. She actually smiles and at least gives off the impression that she is happy doing her job.

I'm so done with this place. I used to look forward to going to PF Chang's, but that was when I was dining at the one back home. This place has killed that notion, soooo....you can guess that I will NOT be going back!

If there really is a PF Chang, the PF stands for, "Pretty Funny" that I can pass off this food as Chinese.  It's American Chinese food. You know, a lot of sweet and sour sauce and fried rice. Anyway, it is what it is and it's pretty tasty if you're not being an elitist and just take it for what it's worth.

The decor is nice, and probably more authentic than the food.  The cocktails are tasty and reasonably priced at around $8, and the employees are friendly and helpful, although noticeably non-Asian.

So this review is mainly about one particular evening. I went with a couple of friends to grab dessert and a quick drink. The bar area was full and our only option was children level bar seats at the far left corner where the wait staff place their orders. We were told we could sit there, but not order food. Hmmmm, what to do...luckily a table opened on the other side of the bar...or was it luck. We sat next to two couples that proceeded to chat us up between a lot of PDA.

Note: The above has no bearing on my review, just painting a picture of the atmosphere for you.

Our two waitresses seemed extremely busy, but I promise you that there was no one in there. It took about 45 minutes for them to bring out 3 tiny parfait type desserts.  The desserts were tasty by the way, but my lukewarm coffee had turned cold by the time the desserts arrived.  Oh, I forgot to mention that my friends coffee was actually tea. They brought it out with half and half and everything, trying to pass it off as coffee..like she wouldn't notice.

Maybe they recently laid off a few people or someone called in sick with swine flu, and that's why it seemed so chaotic.  Our waitresses, while being very nice, didn't seem to know what was going on.

I'm sure I'll go back one day in the future, it's great for large groups and picky eaters who want, "Chinese" food.

This location was my first PF Chang's experience. And it was a great one. If I had written my review that day - I would have given them 5 stars. But, more recently I have become more enlightened by nutritional guidelines.

I used to love PF Changs. The Buddha feast. The Ma Pa Tofu. The Garlic Noodles. But, I have recently been reading nutritional facts about the food here. And they are just outright irresponsible in their cooking.

It tastes great because instead of shooting for gourmet they shot for your heart. They went with the always tasty combo of fat, sugar, salt, and more fat.

And I mean wowza crazy. It's one thing to use a little bit of butter or cream to bring the flavor to another level. Its another thing altogether to base your recipes on fat, salt, and sugar. And that is just what they seemed to have done.

Check the Nutritional facts.

The average is only 2.5 stars!?!?  Why people got to be dissin' on this place, man.  Has anyone actually gone here before dismissing it at 'white man's chinese?'

I went last night and I got the Mongolian beef, lettuce wraps and a mai thai and it was all good.  The Mongolian beef, in particular, has a very unique flavor that is addicting and hard to find elsewhere.  Plus, they serve mini desserts in a shot glass, which are just the right size.

If you go, get the Mongolian beef.  You will not regret it.

I am Asian.  I grew up in SF and have access to the best Chinese food in the planet.  I (usually) hate chain establishments.

Despite all those things, I like P.F. Chang's.  I mean, really like.  Maybe it's because I know I can order brown rice, or because I can order a nice, tall cocktail - something other then Tsingtao beer (mojito, mojito, mojito!).  Maybe it's because their lemon scallops are life-changing (seriously), and their crispy honey shrimp along with their lettuce wraps will haunt you (in a good way) for the rest of your life.

Who cares that it's not authentic Chinese food?  At least it's not Panda Express!

And for the record, I hate Benihana.  Thank you.

One of the finer PF Changs in the Bay Area.

Located in the heart of the Bay Street shopping mall, this PF Chang's is ALWAYS busy -- but ALWAYS worth the wait. The wait staff is cordial (and often flirtatious!) and professional (other than the flirting!).

Now, I have lived in China and have had first-hand experience with authentic Chinese food. I have also been to nearly every Chinese restaurant in Emeryville and Berkeley -- and STILL PF Chang's wins. The food is DELICIOUS and is quite the deal for it's dollar.

Make sure you try the tofu lettuce wraps or the Great Wall of Chocolate dessert! I've tried every vegetarian option on their menu and favor the Peanut Coconut Curry veggie dish with BROWN RICE! Always enough to take home for tomorrow's lunch (it reheats really well!).

Depends on your taste.

We had a group of people and needed a large restaurant. This one could accommodate us. I had heard of the place but never visited. We shared the food so made a number of orders requesting say 2 of this. Guess what the only gave 1 and we were short having to order again.

It was a cross cultural clash. Having spent most of my life in Asia i found this restaurant and insult and the food way over priced. However most of our party thought it was good.

Hot and sour soup was either hot nor sour with no taste.
Lettuce wraps with limp lettuce
Spicy chicken you guessed it no spicy.

Any way could go on did not try the drinks maybe that is why people go here for me it was not the food or the service or lack there of

PLEASE, if you do decide to eat here, tip your waiter. they have no control whether you end up liking the food or not. And if you do get bad service or have an issue with your meal, then let management know. simple as that. no one said you couldnt take your a** to mcdonalds or what have you.  it is what it is,you dont like it,  then go somewhere else.

as far as im concerned, the food is good and the service decent, & the price is reasonable.  the menu has many different choices and the mongolian (spelled right??) is amazing, my fave.

someone once aked, "does the orange chicken taste like China Cook? Cuz their orange chicken is really good" ...you've got to be kidding me! If you like their orange chicken, then obviosly you need to take your butt to China Cook. And why do people ask, is this good, or whats good on the menu? WHY??? Are my taste buds the same as yours? Why would you think my likings are the same as yours? Geez, order it, enjoy it, pay for it and decide for yourself. Discover your own taste, don't let mine make your decision for you.  have been there plenty times, and will continue to give them service =)

Not a big P.F fan, gave this location an extra star because on previous experiences at other P.F locations (H-hem Stanford), me and my friends spend 10-15 minutes trying to flag down our waiter to refill our water or getting surpassed when trying to get a table for a party of 3 vs. a party of 6.

Overall, the food is decent, nothing to go wild about or even waste more than 15 minutes to drive to. I would rather use my meal money to go out and buy the ingredients to make the same dish that this place serves, and make it even better.

Whenever my American friends want me to take them to eat "authentic" Chinese food (Except you, Justine H.), this happens:

Me: What do you want to eat? How about diced intestines?
Them: Gross!
Me: Cold stomach with chili sauce??
Them: That's disgusting.
Me: What about stewed fish head soup?
Them: WTF, No way!
Me: I might be Asian, but you have small balls because you don't have the courage to try something that might be really tasty.
Them: *cry*

So I go to a Chinese restaurant and I can't even order real Chinese food. Americanized eaters, welcome to Authentic Chinese Food 101. There are 8 types of regionally prepared styles in traditional Chinese cooking known as the Eight Great Traditions.

Northern cuisine (Lu) uses dried products with noodles and buns being the starch of choice, like dumplings and Peking duck.

Szechuan (Chuan) style is usually tongue burning spicy and uses a lot of bean paste and peppers, shown off in Mabo tofu.

Canton cuisine (Yue) is really varied and has dim sum, baked spaghetti, and the ever famous cha shu pork.

Jiangsu food (Su) is based off seasonal vegetables and fruits and uses soup to enhance the flavor. It's also quite colorful and has clear broth to enhance the flavors.

Zhejiang (Zhe) is very fresh as well and has a softer flavor, usually containing bamboo shoots. Sometimes it can be salty, but that's mostly Ningbo style. A good example is beggar's chicken, which is usually baked in a lotus leaf.

Hunan (Xiang) food is very flavorful, usually adding in spiciness tinged with sour flavors represented by Orange chicken or braised pork.

Anhui (Hui) cuisine usually has dishes in an oily brown sauce emphasizing stewed and braising cooking methods and usually incorporating ingredients such as frog or turtle.

Fujian (Min) style is light, infused with sweet and sour as well, with a lot of soup dishes. Clams boiled in chicken broth and oyster omelets are good examples.

Over the history, Chinese food has adapted to any region of the world where it's cooked, using regional ingredients and usually catering to the palate of the area. Which brings us to P.F. Chang's. This is the place you go to eat with coworkers or out of towners. When I go here, I'm not expecting one of the Eight traditional Chinese foods. I'm expecting Chinese American food.

Are you one of those Asians who think you're too good for P.F. Chang's? Do you eat coagulated blood chunks in your porridge? Do you eat tripe, thousand year old eggs, and duck tongue? How about chicken feet, grasshoppers, and intestines? Yes?

Then you can eat here. The food isn't nearly as exotic and I'm proud that somewhere in the Midwest, even if people think this is real Chinese food, they still think it's good.

Today, we had:

- Mongolian beef, which was sweet and the fresh scallions dissect the sugar well with a twinge of earthiness that you taste when you inhale.
- Crispy Honey shrimp tastes a lot like honey walnut prawns, only without the walnuts and the lemon sour flavor. It's not overly fried or sauced. Tastes kind of like something you could get in the Trader Joe's frozen section.
- Chang's spare ribs reminded me of bbq ribs in a sweet sauce cooked very lightly. The meat was soft and delicious. I could have mistaken this dish at any rib dish in a chain restaurant.
- Chang's spicy chicken was not spicy at all. It reminded me of the Crispy Honey shrimp and used good quality chicken that was every so slightly chewy before ever become chewy. Once you applied a light amount of bite strength, the meat was soft.
- Hot and sour soup was very rich and thick and I could taste the bamboo distinctly.

It's nice and clean inside They played jazz music. The Guan Yu statue wasn't holding his guandao blade. There were no Asian waiters. They are probably too proud, AzIaN, and elitist to apply. If you lived in a suburb, this would probably be the equivalent of Gary f'ing Danko for your entire family. But you know what? I like it.

Finally I have a place I can take my American friends and not freak them out.

But in traditional Chinese fashion, I sure as hell wouldn't pay. ;)

I realize that we are in a recession, and we have been for quite some time.  What I don't understand, however, is why p.f. chang's chicken lettuce wraps have gone down the toilet (and I'm not talking about it THAT way).

I have been a consumer of these lettuce wraps for years.  There are times that I will just get two orders of them to make up my meal, because they have been that good.  There were times I would drive around Boston Common for a good 45 minutes looking for a parking space to the p.f. chang's in downtown Boston just so I could have them.

This addiction, although expensive, was something I would have gladly sold my brother's first born for.  This is no longer the case.  I don't know if they have changed the recipe, or if my tastes have changed, but what I do strongly suspect is that there is less chicken.  And more garlic.  I like garlic, but not when too much of it throws off the taste of one of my favorite dishes on the planet.

There are still other dishes that I can get, but what's next?  My honey chicken is just a tiny morsel surrounded by a golf ball sized crust?  My lemon chicken is a whole lemon with toothpicks and other assorted items stuck in it to make it look like a chicken?

The service is also hit and miss here.  I can appreciate what these people have to put up with, due to the proximity of a shopping area which I imagine would affect their tips in some way, but when it's slow in the middle of the afternoon on a rainy day...make an effort.  I'll make it worth your while.

Or at least make me a cow out of a napkin and a teacup.

Wow, such horrible reviews for them out there.   Well, we always get the Kung Pao Chicken here and 80% of the time it is amazing.  A few times it was not up to par and we notified the management but, they kind of talked to us like WE were confused and didn't offer our money back or to fix it, or ....... you know what, I'm bumping them down to 2 stars for that.  I'll give them another chance .. let's hope they read their reviews.

I ordered a martini.  When they set it down in front of me I nearly enjoyed a spontaneous orgasm, owing to its immense size. Then I saw that it was a dirty martini. Back it goes and minus one star right there, daddio, for getting me all worked up like that.

Otherwise, everything tasted great.  That might be explained by the fact that everything tasted exactly the same as everything else.

ahi tuna appetizer...big meal in itself...about 7 pieces of fairly large slices laid atop a lightly garnished salad!  Get this with a side of brown rice...and you're good to go in these hard economic times! Im all about saving the cash money during group dinners =)

OooOoO...and in a group of 10 we were all able to have separate checks!

The location of the restaurants was really accessible to the strip. There's no long wait to be seated in this restaurant. We have a good server and smiles a lot which is quite seldom sometimes in a restaurant. The utensils are not clean... We ordered candied prawns with walnut... it is alright but did not like when it was serve with honey dew and it has a taste of mustard on the sauce. Loved the kung pao chicken and the spicy tofu... Overall it is alright...good thing we were with good company to enjoy our dinner with...

Fxxxin' P.F Chang.

My Boring Ex-Asian girl friend about 8 years ago.
She was not ugly but scanky lookin' but so pathetic idiot whore who loves drink like a fish and eat like a rat in the ChinaTown.
"That" was a mistake.

Fxxxin' PF Chang.

Going out with her was a nightmare.
She was always trying to get so drunk and bitchin' waning for anything happened to her day and lookin' for a fight and went to eat Cheeseburger later.

I said to myself, "Hope I was a bit younger? Nah!"
So, I dumped her.
I think she thought she FXXXed me good but It didn't satisfied me at all, so I dumped her for good and I was happier after!
So, I have learned a lesson that if someone FXXX you good that doesn't mean you two are happy. And might be something wrong in the relation ship too.
I finally found out the difference between FXXX and Love.

Fxxxin' PF Chang.

I still remember that one of my class mate Eric, he didn't want to break-up with his drunk girl friend because he didn't want to be alone.

I said to him, "Get rid of the drunk Bitch and find another one, dude!'

He said, " I don't know. I just don't know I can do that.  I don't know I want to look for a girl from scratch again."

I said, "Scratch? You are not a counselor of A meeting, are you? What the FXXX? And you don't want to spend any time to look for a right girl? What a lazy bum you are! You are done Eric, you are Fxxxin' done."

He married her later.

And she divorced him 2 years after.

Fxxxin' PF Chang.

When I was at P.F. Chang's Emeryville, I saw there were few top management officers were in the kitchen inspecting checking every thing. latino cooks, meats, veges, dish washer, refrigerator, floor, plates, bathrooms, Every Fxxxin' thing.
I said to myself what the Fxxx?
I was eating Fxxxin' Chowmein and Potsticker and shit.
It's FXXXin' Chinese Food dumbAss!
Why inspection is needed?
You don't trust Latino cooks making Chowmein?
This was FXXXin' pathetic.
Clean Kitchen Chinese restaurant won't be Chinese restaurant.

Wait-staff were very nice though.

But why do I have to pay more for Asian Fusion with Non-Asian wait-staff rolled up Mushu pork for you!
?
What am I? Crippled? No hands customer?
Am I Crippled Master?
http://www.youtube.com...

But I want my Mushu rolled up by my self, So No Thank You!

Fxxxin' PF Chang.

I don't get it.
Fxxxin' over priced.
Same shit like Elephant Bar.

P.S., Jason C said, " bet even Cripple Master could probably roll his own mushu. PFXXXX'ing Changs!"

Say What?
PFXXX'ing Chang?

It is with all due respect that I want to say, I truly believe there is a special place in Hell for the following groups of people:

--PEOPLE WHO NATURALLY SCORE WELL ON STANDARDIZED TESTS

--PEOPLE WHO HAVE A NATURALLY HIGH METABOLISM

--MORNING PEOPLE

--PEOPLE PICKED FIRST IN GYM CLASS

--PEOPLE WHO CAN RESIST P.F. CHANG'S

Yeah, I like this shit.
I like it a lot.

I KNOW it has too much sugar and I know all the sauces taste the same. I know it's laden with oil and really unhealthy. I know it's overpriced. Yeah, I know that special "sauce" they mix up on the table is crap.

Fuck you, I LIKE coming here.

Bitch, I grew up eating real Cantonese food, so don't even think of going there with me. I was weaned on perriwinkles in black bean sauce,  I was sucking down sai yeung choi with har go before I could even say "Panda Express". I know good Chinese food. That's irrelevant. Like comparing apples and lychees.

Fuck you.  I like sugar. I like salt. I like fat.

I like eating all that shit, and I like it even more when it's all together on one plate. I like ordering overpriced, douchey COCKtails. I like feeling bloated and uncomfortable for a day or two if it means getting to eat crap. I like coming here with my Chinese stepfather and watching him ask the waiter for a fork because he uses chopsticks "only for Chinese food", and, clearly, this shit is NOT Chinese food. I like watching him use that fork to crudely stab a lacquered piece of beef, a shimmering prawn, a luminous string bean (each and every one bathed in that mysterious PF Chang's Glistening Agent), with an air that is equal parts contempt and surrender.

If I were cooler I would not eat here, and if I did, I most certainly would not enjoy it. Or maybe I would--I just wouldn't admit it on a public forum.

I suck.

I really didn't have a bad experience here at all. I enjoy trying different various of Chinese food. Sometimes I want more American in my Chinese food (wife is Chinese). I always think of Towlie from South Park when I enter and I was waiting for the server, who was a lot of fun, asked us the ? -- "How spicy do you want your Chang sauce?" It was great.
I ordered the ginger beer and was very pleased with it. And the 2nd and the 3rd.
The food was very good. It was a little pricey, but I was happy for what I paid for.

Meh.

Is it just me or are you paying for the fancy shmancy decorations, romantic lighting, and nice waitstaff uniforms as opposed to the actual food?

The service here was about a 4 or 5 star, the hostess was nice and our waiter was nice. He had a very DRY sense of humor, but he had me cracking up. Loved it.

Food. ugh. My fiance raaaaaves about this place, and a couple years ago we went to the one in Oakland or San Jose, can't remember, and it was GOOD Chinese food, actual CHINESE BISTRO. But I guess they're beginning to slack off like every other freaking CHAIN restaurant out there..

SO basically we paid $160 for the equivalent of cafeteria food for 3 people. I'm sorry, but my usual take out place down the street is FAR better and FAR cheaper.

Sorry, PF, noooot working for me.

It wasn't that busy cause it was a weekday afternoon so we were seated pretty quickly. We had a super sweet waitress who recommended a yummy dish of orange fried prawns!

I love the food here and my favorites are the seafood dishes (the scallops and prawn s) and the rice/noodle dishes(the garlic noodles and chowfun). They made me a big fan of hot yellow mustard! I think its so cool they make you a customized version of a sauce where you can pick mild or spicy. There's hot yellow mustard, chili oil, chili sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic. If you want some veggies, def get the side of cucumbers- garlicky yummyness!

Oh and if you have room you have to get the choc cake!

Came her today with a party of 12. I made reservations and even pre-ordered the entrees. Granted some people arrived 30 minutes late, but my understanding was the food was ready to go so why did it take another 30 minutes for it to come out? The wait staff were extremely attentive, but we would have rather eaten than wait until everyone got a 2nd refill on their drinks. By the time the food came out, my fish was overcooked and dried out. Plates were sitting in a warmer and were too hot to touch. The place has a nice ambiance, but the food is more Asian fusion than Chinese.

We stopped in for lunch after a long tour of Ikea trying to decide on new furniture. It's just ok, nothing more. Nothing was bad by any means and our server was very attentive, but it's nothing amazing. I can get better Americanized Chinese food two miles away in downtown Walnut Creek (just a couple blocks away from the PF Chang's in Walnut Creek).
