If you come here for happy hour this place is definitely worth it.
If you order 3 items off the HH menu they're $5 a pop.
We ordered the pad thai, thai boat noodles, and chicken wings. Though none of the items were that great, you can't really complain for the amazing price. Also, a pitcher of sierra nevada was only $10! Definitely can't beat that.
Took us a while to find the entrance but it's a little down the corner on polk st.

Mediocre Thai food...mediocre happy hour.
This is the one in Nob Hill above a convenient store. Location is OK ambience wise. Went during happy hour...decent deal: 3 dishes for $15. I got the spicy chicken fried rice (which was really spicy in my opinion), chicken pad thai (too sweet) and chicken wings (kinda dry but good with the sweet and spicy sauce). Service was fast.
Had the fried banana with coconut ice cream for dessert which was actually really good or maybe I was hungry after all the food I couldn't really eat.
I don't recommend this location. Happy hour prices are only OK and the food isn't worth it. -

Oh, man! That was some fantastic Larb! The food is great; the atmosphere is okay, but the food definitely outweighs the vistas of Polk Street.
The service is prompt and pleasant.
Someone had rented out half the place for a private party when we went...looks like they can do a buffet style for those...don't know if they cater, though. -

This place was pretty good. I liked the atmosphere and the staff and servers were real nice. I came in with a group of 4, around 8:30 on a Friday evening. It wasnt busy at all and we were starving. So we came here, bc 21st Amendment, which was across the street, was packed and on a hr wait. It was a good decision, bc they got us in and I was extremely satisfied with my food;I dont know how the rest felt about their food. However, the food was real spicy. You have 3 options for some of the dishes, *mild **medium and ***spicy. I picked **medium, little did I know that medium=HOT!. I love spicy foods, too and other normal circumstances I can eat spicy foods w/o breaking a sweat, but my dish was SPICY!
Nonetheless, I still walked out happy. I will definitely stop by again if I am in the area. -

Happy hr at Ozone is great
$10 for a pitcher?! Why not?!
Tons of seating and you can always stop by here for a quick drink before the game. No wait. -

I only come here for happy hour for the pre-game Giants festivities. The drinks are pretty good. The $10 pitcher which is only Coors light is not bad. Coors light taste like water but they have other standard taps available.
I've had a couple of appetizers and they are okay. Service is great and decent. -

so, i normaly never ever give a 1 star but i guess there is a first for everything. i ate here on tuesday night and went straight home. the next day not eating anything at all since my midnight snack, i had nausea. As the day went by my co-workers felt as if i was not as jolly as i normally am, and to top it off i looked green. i knew i was sick because i was embarressed to tell them that i have been using the restroom having diarrhea. i told my friend who is a doctor at Kaiser my symptoms and to find out i have the stomach flu, aka: INFLUENZA! Never again am i going to eat here again. Im sorry ozone, i gave you guys a fair chance. I much rather eat at king of thai or osha, at least i dont get the stomach flu!!!
btw, i swear the people who work there DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!!!! -

The food here is really really good - from the tom yum gai soup to the spicy pan fried noodles with chicken. It's easily some of the best Thai food in the city. The only thing not great about this place in the ambience. Now ambience usually doesn't bother me if the food is amazing (which it is), but in this case, there's enough wrong with the surroundings that it gets to me - 1) it's cold and drafty inside, 2) there's always annoying music on OR loud karaoke and 3) the bathroom is dirty and 4) the lighting is dim and it looks kind of dingy inside. This place could definitely use a pick-me-up. All of those put together make me order on the phone and pick up my food or just have it delivered. I try to avoid eating inside as much as possible.

Ozone's food is passable, they're open late, and Thai can be remotely healthy after a solid night of destroying your body on Polk St.
Be prepared for it to be LOUD, though. They have a karaoke machine on one side of the restaurant that seems to attract a ton of people. It seems like they never switch to American/East Asian songs either, at which point I'd go into Korean Justin Timberlake-mode and join in (which you'd want to see).
Instead, they only play random top 40 Thai songs with music videos that make you feel like you're watching YouTube ironically while shrooming. Imagine how frightening this was for me, considering I didn't even think Thai people had music.Listed in: Restaurants

People.. PLEASE do not come here to eat if you are looking for authentic Thai food, or even GOOD food.
Oh yeah.. They charge you gratuity and then will ask you for some extra tip too as you are leaving..
We came here for a birthday party of about 30 people.
We ordered 7 dishes, 6 portions of each dish. Take note each portion is tiny..
Basil Chicken - I found a part of a metal brillow pad in my food while I was chewing this flavorless dish. (They didn't apologize but brought out another dish)
Calamari - Overly fried, dried worst calamari I have ever eaten
Duck Larb - There were only 2 pcs of actual duck in here, it was not fresh and as a filler they put a bunch of random dark colored organs
Beef Salad - Average
Papaya Salad - Decent but not authentic and it was overloaded with peanuts
Panang Curry - The only good dish, but you will be lucky to find a scrap of chicken and it had peanuts in it
Quail - Had flavor but was a little sweet.
If you are looking for some good Thai food, Eat somewhere else and pay to go sing karoke somewhere else.
Please trust the reviews of the other yelpers.. That is why most of their reviews are 1 star reviews. -

I am very disturb by the management in this place, and I'll tell you why! A friend and I had came in here yesterday for their happy hour cocktails and menu. I asked the server what was the happy hour specials going and she handed me a menu with a list of specialty cocktails and told me that it was half off 6.00 cocktails. So, we ordered several cocktails from her and 3 entrees, the menu read: 3 entrees for 15.00. First of all, we were the only ones in there, and she hardly came over to wait on us. We always had to flag her down.
When it was time to leave, we asked for the bill, and she had double charged for everything! She charged the full 6.00 for the cocktails and charged the full price for the entrees we ordered. I asked her about this and she said in her little Thai accent, "Oh, I am so sorry but the happy hour has changed, I haven't worked here in months, and I had no clue?" So, we figured she would go correct the bill, but returned to telling us that she can't change it because that was how it is. We asked to speak to the owner, and she said she was sitting over there at the bar. So, she went back to tell the owner that we wanted to speak to her, and we over heard the owner say, just give them the happy hour prices for a few of those drinks (we ordered 5 drinks total)
The owner never turned around to see who we were, and didn't realize that we can speak and understand Thai. Our server came back and handed back our bill, and it was still incorrect. Then, we asked once again to speak to the owner, and she declined to speak to us! After going back and forth with this bill, it was finally corrected at the end.
Who ever the owner is has no class, and she doesn't have the Thai respect at all. She needs to stop trying to jip people and have better business practice. This was the first time I've been here and it will be my last time! So, all my Yelp friends, don't patronize this place! Also, the FOOD SUCKS!
And to the owner, that lady sitting at the bar, you need to go to the temple and hear the monks chant about being a good person! -

Like other reviewers, I don't like giving a failing grade to such good people who run this place. The problem is their food is lacking. Really, how can get you make such bland tasting dishes? There was nothing thai about the several dishes I have tried here over the years. The soup is tasty but c'mon, you need a better chef.
It is really hot in that room too. A problem with the ventilation no doubt.
I did not experience the karaoke machine thankfully. -

If you're thinking of ordering delivery from this place late night. THINK TWICE. For one, you may or may not get what you ordered. I think towards closing time the chef decides to get funky wit it and starts throwing all the leftovers from the day into your order. I ordered Thai fried rice and ended up getting a porridge of veggies and tofu. The tom yum which usually is a never fail was wayyyyyy too salty. I had about two spoonfuls and had to call it quits. Then to add insult to injury my stomach started to churn in pain a few hours later... not nice.
The delivery person didn't even ask me if I wanted any change. My total was $16 and some change and I handed him a 20. He snatched the $20, said "thank you!" and ran off to his car before I could ask for a few dollars back.
PATRONS BEWARE OF THE OZONE. haha -

My sister and I were feeling lazy, so we called in for a delivery order. When she said they were fast, I didn't know she really meant it. It was honestly the fastest delivery I have ever gotten, and good thing because I was so hungry! While their service is a 5, the food averages a 3. I ordered Pad Thai and we shared a Mango Sticky Rice. There was nothing wrong with the food, but it wasn't amazing. It was good, but I wouldn't be craving to go back again. Overall, it was a good experience and I enjoyed the fast service!

I ordered from ozone because they are open late and deliver. I was excited to have an alternate to pizza for late night delivery. Unfortunately, my excitement was short lived. My pad thai was completely stuck together in the shape of the container it came in. I tried breaking it up but it was a wasted effort. We were pretty hungry but nothing we ordered was worth eating.
I've never eaten in the restaurant, only ordered deliver. Based on my experience with delivery, I probably won't try. -

We were seated promptly, but after 15 minutes we finally had to stare at the waitress to get her to come take our drink/appetizer/food order. There was a large group there, who received ALL of the attention. The food was prepared promptly. The Panang Curry was delicious, but the Pad Thai was odd.
The waitress never came back to check on us/refill our drinks. 15 minutes after we were finished, we went up and asked for some to-go containers. As we were packing away our food, the waitress finally came over and brought our check. We went up to pay, because we didn't have any more time to wait.
The food was decent, but the service was the worst we've ever had. We ALWAYS tip 20% or more, but we stiffed this waitress - a first for us. -

Ozone was a warm welcome to my boyfriend and I on a Friday night after passing by many places that were full, sketchy, or didn't serve food.
I immediately loved the atmosphere of the restaurant - on the second floor overlooking Polk St - dimly lit with rainbow holiday lights.
The menu is large and decently priced. All the food we ordered was delicious and filling. Their meat was tender and cooked to perfection and their sauces were very tasty. They have a large alcohol selection including many wines, unique cocktails, and acceptably priced beers.
The wait staff means well. They are very friendly and efficient, but a bit off on their serving times. I think they would have a problem handling a busy night or a large party.
Overall I really enjoyed my dining experience here and will definitely be back :) -

This is my *new* neighborhood thai delivery standby. That's right suckas, I'm movin on up to the West side (of the bay). While my move is still taking place over the next few weeks, I'm spending half the week in SF and working hard for my money. Which means I treat myself to healthy take out whenever my ass is tied to the laptop making benjamins. Don't hate.

star 1: good food
star 2: nice setting
star 3: its very close to my house...but i know that makes star three a bias review..oh well
no star 4 because they always gip me when i order for delivery....it's okay that they take long, but they bring the thai ice teas half empty and with a lot of ice...mad rip off.
no star 5 because they honestly do take forever sometimes...i mean, my boy has waited in the restaurant forever to take food home..and the place was nearly empty. apparently they forgot one time. -
Review from Ani C.
Maybe it was the alcohol? Maybe it was the time? But all I know is the food was awful! Just really, really bad. So bad, that even a drunk person like myself couldn't enjoy it! And I can enjoy just about ANYTHING at 1:30am after a few drinks!
I eat a LOT of Thai food. This was bad.
First off, we ordered medium to mild spicy. The food we got (Tom Yum Soup, Steak Salad, Papaya Salad and egg rolls) were all INCREDIBLY SPICY. SO damn spicy I couldn't eat any of it!
I mean, I thought you really can't mess up egg rolls? !! But, they did! The dipping sauce was ridiculously spicy!
We told the waitress who laughed at us (yes, at us. not with us) and said, its "Mild. Very mild. The most mild we make." And then left.
Uhhh, sure girlie! I can eat spicy food, but this was just ridiculous. my two friends also love spicy food and thought it was waaaaaay too spicy. It burned my mouth and killed my tastebuds!
Aside from the heat factor, the pad thai we ordered made me want to vomit. And no, it wasn't the alcohol I consumed...It was super, super greasy and tasted burned. Or like they used the same pot and oil to cook every order of pad thai they got.
Basically, really bad. And it's really a shame...all i wanted was something to soak up the booze..this it was not!!!! After about 10 trips to the bathroom today, I can safely say I will NOT return.
1 Star for clean bathrooms
1 Star for being open late
Service was good (aside from the waitress laughing at us)
0 Stars for food
boo on you ozone! boo on you! you should have tasted soooo good! -

It was pretty average Thai food wrapped in a very nice bow. The atmosphere of the restaurant was the perfect date location. Food was reasonably priced, and it was even more amazing that I was able to get 50% off using Scoutmob.
Maybe my midwestness was a bit too apparent, because they didn't even bother to offer me chopsticks (I wouldn't have used them, but it's nice to have the option!). They only had sweet-and-sour sauce to spice up what turned out to be very, very bland fried chicken over fried rice. I was tempted to ask for some ketchup to go with it, figuring they already guessed my midwesterness by this point. -

It's hit or miss with this place. After coming her e a few times, I've started to figure out what I actually like to eat here. But It's far and few compared to the whole menu.
I don't come here for the alcohol but usually when there's an event, I do make it out. The CRISPY PORK SALAD (spicy) is good.. but spicy (with sticky rice). This is my favorite thing here.
Because there are few things on the menu I like, It's just A-OK. But I will be visiting because of that dish :) -
Review from Corey V.
I hate giving this place a bad review because I've been here a handful of times over the years and it's always been pretty good. That all changed the last time I came here on a Friday night for dinner. It's now a karaoke place which means if you want to enjoy a nice meal and talk to the other people at your table then you're out of luck. I don't understand the trend of eating while listening to ear splitting music. I just don't get it.

The food was good- well seasoned and rich without being overwhelming. Very accommodating to the vegetarians who needed to fish sauce or fish oil in all of their dishes.
Service was really slow and the timing was off. Half the table had almost finished their food, before ours had arrived. Also, the cocktails were so strong they were painful to drink. In general, all the waitresses need to smile. Also, had a little trouble handling a large party. They could only run 3 credit cards for a table of 17 which was a little difficult for us. -

I have so many amazing memories of this place!
The first time I was out having the night of my life with a friend from out of town drinking in the TL, yes I love me some bar hopping in the TL and the tranny watching, the bum fights, I love it all!! We got the usual "drunk starvation" feeling. You know that feeling.. the one where anything smells delicious and you feel like you might vanish into thin air if you don't have something delicious and greasy at 1am.
So our other friend suggested we go to Ozone. It's right above this other bar/club we liked to frequent as well, so it was perfect!
As we are walking up the stairs we started to hear a band.. the singing wasn't in english though... it was for sure Japanese. YES!!! My dreams came true, a Japanese top 40 cover band!! We ordered our food and I think I died and gone to heaven as I'm hearing these cute lil asian boys rock out and sing their lil hearts out. My favorite was hearing them play Maroon 5. It was out of control. I seriously felt like I was in Lost in Translation, maybe it was all the alcohol the Hemlock had provided our tummies... oh well.
To say the least it was wonderfully horrible. Ya know?
Ok, so the service was a little wack but the place was PACKED!! But our food did come promptly and it was delicious. I had drunken noodles, friend #2 had pad se ew and I forgot what my friend from out of town had but it was all quite delicious.
We stumbled out of there very happy and entertained.
That was my favorite night there. All other nights have been somewhat similar but never again have I seen that band again. I think they need to be hired on for a Yelp event, ya hear that Ruggy??!!!Listed in: Thai Food

Meh. Got takeout from there and wasn't that impressed. I almost always get the same thing when I get Thai food---Pad Thai. Boring, yes, I know, but I was starving and was craving ethnic comfort food. It was a bit bland (blander than Pad Thai usually is I mean). I got the pork spareribs only so I could make the minimum total required for delivery. The one I tried kind of tasted like sesame chicken, which was a bit weird. Their delivery was fast, and they got me my food prior to the expected delivery time given to me online.
So, I think I may have to pass on getting food from here again. I still have yet to explore the many culinary options in my new neck of the woods. -

Food:
Surprisingly excellent. I'm not a big Thai fan, but everything we had was pretty damn good. Ordered the sweet & sour calimari, angel wings for appetizers (chicken wings in a sauce), duck, and BBQ short ribs for entrees Wings were just ok but everything else was real good. BBQ short ribs were unreal, as the meat just fell right off the bone. Tasted almost like a thin skirt steak with more spice.
Service:
Only reason why it didn't get 5 stars. We received 1 appetizer, followed by our 2 entrees, then another appetizer -- kinda odd. In any regard this was the only complaint.
Atmosphere:
You know you've found a good asian place when your the only caucasians in the joint. This place had a variety of options and included a lot of different choices for someone like myself who wasn't sure what Thai dish they might like.
Price:
2 entrees, 2 appetizers, 2 cocktails -- got outta there for around $50 pre tip. I'll def be back. -

Meh, okay, but nothing to write home about.
The menu selection didn't exactly jump off the page, and the cocktail menu was lukewarm at best. And this has to be the darkest restaurant I've ever been in. Ambiance anyone? A few candles, lit highlights, something never hurts. The food had a sort of homemade feel to it, and I don't mean that in a positive way. Certainly affordable, though.
Do yourself a favor, and head on down to Osha. -

I wish we had asked for spicy spicy, not medium spicy. But I know better than to show up at a Thai restaurant and ask for extra spicy food. The tom yum with shrimp was creamier than I'm used to but good, and the seafood clay pot was great.
Their fish cake was very flavorful and even though I'm sure they don't make their own, I haven't had fish cake that good in a long time. -

I had the best green curry I've ever tasted in my life. It was delicious and the coconut rice was just right. My friend and I ended with mango sticky rice, for which they actually gave real ripe mango pieces. It was abs delish. The ambience and the view was also great.
My friend however did not prefer to like pop songs as the appropriate mode of entertainment. She's making me give 5 stars anyway. -

Loud late-night thai karaoke, creative cocktails, and delicious (thai) dishes. What more could you really want at 12 am when you're with one of your best girlfriends, didn't have much dinner, and essentially just broke up with your boyfriend of the past few months?
The pad thai was really yummy, the cocktails were great, and my friend's thai fried banana desert was perfect. We were definitely misfits but the entertainment was great and the food/drink/entertainment/best friend combo significantly improved my mood!Listed in: Poking Along Polk Street..., You Gotta Thai It...

Me: "We're fucked. It's 12:30am, there is nothing we can order for delivery except pizza and fried crap. Lame."
I ignore my frowny face feelings and pull up the googles just in case. "late night delivery san francisco" says I to the googles and up pops Ozone Thai. Like I haven't searched that same phrase thousands of times, yet somehow this is the first I'd seen of Ozone.
Friday/Saturday you can call up until 1am for delivery, hallelujah!
*waves hands in the air, feelin' the late night delivery holy ghost*
So the curry dishes roll through with a quickness, 35 minutes is solid to me especially with how many drunk mofos are probably calling up about that time. Show me someone with drunky eyes that doesn't wanna rock some spring rolls. Good stuff that yellow curry, even spicy how I like it. My Thai travels (not to be confused with 'Time travels') have left me jaded on spiciness, but Ozone figured out what "medium, to medium hot" really means.
Slight botch on the rice, I said two orders of brown and they gave us white, but lucky for Ozone I'm not racist against rice enough to drop a star for it.
Big portions in my estimate, at least compared to other local Thai establishments. I had enough to eat the next day which is a rarity indeed.
No more awkwardly ordering cheeseless pizza at 1am for me, it's all about the Ozone curry.Listed in: SF: Thai Spots

OK. We wanted some thai food-late. It was a weeknight, and i was finishing up studying...and let time slip away from me. I didn't realize most thai places on grubhub don't deliver past 10pm, so i got desperate and found a place that delivered late. Perfect. And the delivery was really courteous and fast. perfect agaiin.
However, the food was far from perfect. Ordered the duck curry, spring rolls, and the pad thai. Pretty basic order, but this was not good food. So here's the deal. If it's a weeknight, and you want delivery, want thai food, and it's late, go Ozone. If you have a choice tho-go somewhere else. Like i said, the ordering and delivery and service in general was perfect. No complaints at all, the food is just not the best. -

I just got off the phone with Ozone in hopes of getting some late night delivery after my favorite, King Lee's was closed.
My first and foremost question to them was whether or not they deliver to my neighborhood, Western Addition. They said yes, so I went ahead with my order.
Finally, after a seven minute strained conversation consisting of me trying to communicate to them I wanted Tom Ka soup and crab fried rice-they reneged on delivering to my house, because the order wasn't expensive enough, even though it surpassed the $15 minimum at $16.50. I guess they changed their minds last minute and decided my business wasn't worth it or their driver who changed his mind.

This is the most authentic and best Thai food in San Francisco as far as I am concerned.
I was born and raised in Thailand, so it's pretty safe to assume that you can trust me about Thai food ;)
And if you don't believe me, just take a look around when you eat there, and you will see that there's always a lot of Thai people eating there, which is generally a good sign for the quality of the food.
Prices are very reasonable, and the waitstaff super friendly (not only with Thai people!).
I brought a lot of my non-Thai friends there and it's always LOVE it, or HATE it! But either way, you get a taste of REAL Thai food, pretty much like in Thailand. Please don't blame them if you don't like it; at least you'll know for sure if you like real Thai food, and not only the American-friendly version you can find in most Thai restaurants in the city.
Going to Ozone Thai always make me feel at home...
