I didn't know much about this hotel before getting here - only that it was in Pismo Beach, and my friends and I needed a place to stay for the night.  We got in about 9:30, and got a two-room suite with one king-sized bed, and a pull-out bed in a sofa.  With a AAA discount, the total was $135.

The girl at the front desk handed each of us vouchers for 2 drinks at the bar, and a breakfast buffet.  Unfortunately, the bar closes right at 9:30, so I figured that we wouldn't have time to get any drinks in, but decided to try it out anyways.  We walked into the bar, and although the bartender was closing shop, he happily served us our wines.  He was extraordinarily friendly, and chatted with us the whole time, so we never felt rushed even as he was cleaning up.

The suite was larger than I had expected, with wood floors and a comfortable couch.  The bed was fine, like any other standard hotel bed, but the bathroom was a bit off.  I saw some moldy spots on the walls, and what looked like a little bit of blood by the toilet.  The toilet paper holder was coming off of the wall, and looked like someone had hit it before we got there.  But aside from the bathroom, the rest of the suite was great.

We woke up late the next morning, before realizing that they finish serving their buffet breakfast rather early, so we had to stop by a coffee shop on the way out to grab something to eat.  I would definitely like to return here again though, next time I stay in Pismo Beach, and hope that the bathroom was just a slight fluke.

Solid four stars... up'd to five

Before coming here to spend the next forty- eight hours the most experience I had ever had at this place was flipping a bi#$% in its parking lot after getting gas last year. This place is super peaceful. There is an insurance thingy going on and several families.. but you would never realize it being in the "library" where I am at right now working on my paper..... they also have a mini Cantina/ Bar area.... there are lots of places inside and out to use their wifi.. there are snack stations, coffee stations, soda and candy machines within distance... clean restroom near the pool.....

Clean pool and hot tub.... they also have a coined laundry spot, a mini gym and a breakfast spot (food is not too bad and the Maxwell's coffee is better than the Folder's crap you usually get). The location is convenient and right near Starbucks, Coffee Bean, gas, Denny's and the mini outlets.

Check in at three (SIGH) hence me being in the library.... more tbc

So the BF errored and I ended up having to get a room ASAP... Cristina is a gem (service person at the counter) I got checked in around 12 something and got a really nice suite right near the pool, parking lot and on the first floor. Nice natural lighting and it has all the fixings-- mini fridge, microwave, mini kitchen sink dealio.. decent size bathroom and a nice bedroom with a king bed, and tons of storage space.  They are pet friendly (they have limited rooms so make sure you let them know in advance)

I would definitely come back for a relaxing weekend... thank you for being so accommodating and fab... ten stars on the customer service

4 People, 2 Queen Sized Beds suite. "Q/Q Superior"

This suite we rented for an overnight stay was PERFECT. We were in town for a quick weekend getaway and we needed a place to stay that will accommodate 4 people with WiFi needs and Oxford suites delivered.

I'll begin with the hotel lobby. The lobby was actually very nice and the front desk girls were kind and helpful. The bar "The Cantina" is located behind you while looking at the recptionist counter. They also have a "library" area which is basically connected to The Cantina and the lobby. Don't get it twisted, The Library area is just a few tables in a a sectioned area I guess designated for people to have that "studying at the cafe" type of atmosphere.

There's a swimming pool along with a kid's 1 foot deep pool and a separate jacuzzi pool. The area is open for people to use from 10AM-9PM and Adults only from 9PM-10PM.

Our room was called a "Q/Q Superior." It had 2 rooms, one with 2 Queen sized beds with a TV sink area, granite counter top, and connected to a clean well stocked bathroom. The other room was connected to the front door and served us like a living room very nicely with it's own counter top and sink. The living room area also had a fridge(perfect for my beer), a microwave, a coffee table, and I think a dining table(next to the window)?

The sofa in the living room was very nice also as it is long enough for somebody to sleep on. You can actually pull the long part of the sofa out into a bed if you'd like but unnecessary. Actually, you can probably fit in 6 people comfortably into this suite with 2 people per Queen bed and then 2 people on the sofa/sofa bed.

The location of this suite is also perfect as it is close to EVERYTHING. It's close to the beach, local shopping center, and downtown area.

Awesome hotel for a quick weekend getaway for 4 people. We're all in our early 20's, here on a Saturday-Sunday stay, room 137.

Hope this info helps. =)

Simply said, the staff was friendly, the 2 free drinks were great, and the breakfast wasn't as bad as I would have expected.

Why 3 stars then? Well, I was put next to the gym.  The TV was blasting while nobody was in there...went in and turned if off.  The bed wasn't very comfortable (yes, I'm a bed yuppy), and there was a weird beeping noise coming from the front room every so often that kept waking me up.

From the outside it looks like a grocery store with the big red commercial letters, but inside it's like a little safari.  It's obvious this place has been remodeled recently since everything looked pretty new.  I stayed in one of their suites which was large  and had a separate living room area (hardwood floors) with a wraparound pullout bed couch, TV, microwave and small fridge as well as a small sink.  The bedroom had another TV, a large closet and extremely comfortable bed.  I have insomnia but slept pretty well here.  The bathrooms aren't quite as nice, but clean.  I would've liked a little bit more pressure for the shower.

The hotel has hi speed internet (we watched streaming video just fine), a pool and hot tub as well as free breakfast buffet and cocktail reception.  We didn't make it to the afternoon reception, but made it to breakfast one morning.  It's decent fare, and they do offer a lot, but if you're a breakfast person, I'd consider going out.  The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the cleaning staff never replenished our shampoo/lotion/kleenex although if we had called I'm sure they would have brought up more supplies.

If you have a larger party, kids, or just like to have space to move around this place is great.  And let me say again how much I enjoyed the comfy bed.

Being on a field job driving about 200-miles from Burbank, I always prefer hotels which are close the freeway, 24-hour restaurants and gas station.

Oxford Suites perfectly fit my personal requirement being located right there near the 4th Street exit of Fwy-101, adjacent to Denny's Restaurant, close by the gas station and only 2-miles away from the jobsite in Oceano the following day.

Once again, I skipped the free continental breakfast the next morning, as I'm not really used to eating anything in the morning, aside from coffee.

And once again, Oxford Suites in Pismo Beach in Pismo Beach deserved a 4-Stars from me and a convenient place to stay...

We ended up here when I tried to book our favorite place (Pismo Lighthouse Suites) and they were full. Really, this place isn't bad; it was very clean, newly refurbished (it seemed) and comfortable. But our suite was very stuffy and the A/C didn't work. Since it was just an overnight, it wasn't of much concern, but I don't think I'd want to stay here again. The free breakfast is very mediocre, and if you are located near the pool, it can be really noisy. Likewise, if you are on the freeway side, you'd have that noise as well because it is RIGHT. NEXT. TO. THE. FREEWAY.

I have stayed at this hotel for years, on at least six occasions so I have a fair idea of what you will experience here. I also am VERY picky on hotels, dining, etc. I travel on business a lot and usually stay in Hyatts or Hiltons.

I travel to Pismo because I have family here. I found this hotel when I was looking for a suite type hotel for my kids and I. The only other nearby suite hotel is the Embassy Suites (my usual hotel of choice when traveling with my kids) in Lompoc or San Luis, too far for me. So, I stayed in Pismo at Oxford.

The hotel was nice and I viewed it is a good value for my money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a bit dated (this was prior to their re-model). All their rooms have been re-modeled. They all have tasteful modern decor, granite countertops and furnishings. The beds were upgraded too and have down (or at least down-like) comforters. Very comfortable, nicer than Embassy Suites and even comparable to my top of the line mattress I sleep on at home. All rooms have two TV's and high speed wireless internet, that surprisingly works great (speeds of about 1.0 mbps or more).

I have only stayed here with my two kids (ages 3 and 5) and my wife.  They have a very small store in the lobby and the staff even helped me find a video for my kids to watch in the room. We have never used the pool or spa but it looks acceptable.

The staff has always been great. I have been to their evening reception. I have never had the food, but I did get some wine. The wine they serve is horrible, but after all it is a free reception and I am a bit of a wine snob. If you are in the mood for a decent glass of wine (you are in wine country), go up the street to the Scolaris supermarket. They have a surprisingly extensive selection of some great local wines.

I have eaten at the breakfast buffet each time. I have stayed here during peak and non-peak seasons and have never seen much of a line to speak of.  The breakfast is fine and does change from day to day. The last time I stayed there they ran a little low on bread on my last day. The staff serving is always polite and can even accommodate special requests. The breakfast always included some sort of meat (ham and eggs or bacon or sausage). I think the breakfast is better at the Embassy Suites (with their made to order omlettes) but the breakfast at the Oxford is not bad. If you want a great breakfast, drive up to the Big Sky Cafe in San Luis.

I had one problem on my last stay. The high speed internet did not work in my room (it is wireless). The staff did not know much about the service (which is typical in the industry), however, this is my specialty and I could tell one of their access points was down. I told the staff what the problem likely was and they sent someone up to move me to a new room (I was then able to get signal).

I have never had a problem with noise from other rooms or from outside. My last stay was on a weekend, there were a lot of families there, but it was not out of control (I hate noise). When you are in the room you do not hear it. They have security after hours and everything really quiets down after 11pm. I have never stayed on a first floor here, so I do not know if this is true when someone is above you. My last stay was in a room along the front of the hotel (overlooking the 101). There was no freeway noise in the room.

I rate my overall experience as excellent here because:

This is a great value for what you get.
They are competitively priced when I have shopped pricing in the area (there are cheaper places to stay and many more expensive places to stay).
This is one of the nicest hotels in the area (I have stayed at many in Pismo prior to finding this one).
The rooms are clean and surprisingly nice and modern thanks to their recent renovation.
The staff is friendly.

If you want true luxury, stay at the Dolphin Bay Hotel (at 4 times the cost). It is very nice. For something more reasonable, the Oxford Suites is the place to stay.

Not small like motel six (which is next door), but certainly not first class, either. it's clean, looked very homey... beds weren't that comfy though... small for being  queen size (we had 2 queen sized beds). AC was a bit noisy. Bathroom door wouldn't close properly. There were cobwebs by the sliding door outside in the balcony so we didn't bother going out.

I ended up paying $180 a night, which I think I could've gotten a better deal somewhere else if I didn't book last minute.

It's a good if you don't want to splurge and only have to stay for one day.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, which is located in Pismo Beach along the 101 rather close to the Pismo Outlets. It is a spotlessly clean place, inside and outside of the rooms. The decor was rather unique - sort of going for a cross between ... well, I'm not sure quite what. English tudor spanish?  OK, I'm not good with themes. But it's unique.

The main thing is the rooms, and cleanliness. They got that down. The rooms are large and divided in half. You enter into a room with a small sectional couch, TV, and bar (includes sink, microwave, and fridge). You also have a small table next to a window that (for us and possibly most/all) looks into a courtyard with the pool and hot tub. A sliding door divides this and a bedroom - for us with a king bed. There's a long counter in this room, upon which there's a second TV. The bathroom sink is out in this room too. Attached to this is a bathroom with the standard stuff. In addition to all this are cupboards and places to hang your clothes and whatever.

The bed wasn't too comfy, but that's us at nearly every hotel as we're spoiled at home with a nice bed. The place was completely quiet though, despite being so close to the 101 (our room was on that side too). So we had a good sleep here.

So the positives:

* Continental breakfast (free with your room - you get a funny little ticket to put in a bowl): Holy expansive! Not great if you're cholesterol/fat conscious like ourselves though. But if that's not you, it's good. They actually have a server dude behind a counter dishing up scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, oatmeal, and really delicious looking french toast. In addition to that they had cereal, toast/jam, juice/coffee, and canned fruit and generic pink yogurt in a bowl to scoop from. I hated the canned fruit and didn't like not knowing if the yogurt was low fat or not. I ended up eating the oatmeal and a piece of toast -- so I was personally very unhappy with the offerings, but I can tell others would find this breakfast awesome in comparison with others. Could improve this vastly by offering a bowl of fresh fruit and individual yogurts.

* Exercise room: Offers an exercise bike, elliptical (what I used - in good condition and had a good workout), treadmill, large weight machine, and sauna. Added bonus of a huge LCD widescreen tv. Roomy - you don't feel like you're in a closet like at some hotels.

* Everything was spotless.

* Room was totally quiet. Judging by the breakfast room, it seemed to be kind of busy -- but the hotel was still really quiet.

The needs improvement:

* Shower. Horrible. Very weak water pressure, and tempertures changed constantly. My husband reported a drop in pressure when someone flushed in another room. For me the temperture was alternating warm/cold for the first minute or two, and then it was fine. Except for two massively freezing cold bursts in the middle of the shower. ACK.

* Bathroom product offerings very weak. Some very-generic conditioning shampoo and a lotion was it.

* Barely worth noting, but the bathroom fan was super loud.

* One of the two TVs was in the process of breaking down - picture tube was going or something. Colors were separated by an inch and an odd rattle while it was running.

The did-not-trys:
* Pool/hot tub: Looked nice for sure, but it was too cold by the time we got back in the evening and in the morning (fog had rolled in).
* Evening reception (Free with your room): Something about free snacks and drinks, but we were out at the San Luis Obispo farmers market.

Anyway, I would definitely go back here and recommend it to other folks. It was really reasonable for what you get in Pismo. It isn't right on the beach, and you will need to drive there -- but you'll save some cash and enjoy where you're staying. Particularly good for families (you can divide off your room from the kids/sofabed).

Will upload a bunch of pictures, check em out.

4 adults and a baby, we rented a "Q/Q Superior"

It was so easy to find this place, right off the 101, next door to the outlet mall, Rite Aid and some other helpful shops. We tried to check in early (1 pm) but we couldn't, room was not ready. Came back at 3, checked us in, gave us a room on the first floor (that I requested since we had a baby) Walked in, was a king bed, went back to the front desk, told them that we rsvp'd for two queens, they said they didnt have anything available and told me to use the couch because it pulls out into a bed. UH no! I said that I rsvp'd for two queen bed and they asked me where did I make the rsvp? I said on your website, the girl and a supervisor went in the back to pull up my reservation for 20 minutes. While waiting, the phone rang and the person at the front desk said oh yes we have about 25 rooms available so you can come in. Thank god I have an iPhone and kept the email that was sent to me. I told the girl working at the front desk to get them so I can show them, the big boss, I guess came up with them, she took on look at my reservation email and then gave us a room with two queen beds. Amazing how they had rooms available. I was so mad at the customer service from the front desk.

I walked into the room, it was clean and very spacious. The pool was heated and clean as well. The drinks at the cantina yummy, the breakfast, more then I hoped for. Eggs, fruit, sausage, pankcake, oatmeal, cereal, english muff, bagel, jam, butter juice, milk coffee. All free...it is the same stuff you would get at Denny's, it was yummy too.
During the stay I needed more towels, the night shift was great and helpful, checkout was the same. The only hang up was the room in the beginning but I got what I wanted. I would totally stay here again.

A good value for the money, and especially in a city where ALL hotels, etc are totally jacked up in price (for what reason, I still have no idea--its not Santa Barbara!).  The free brekky in the am and the evening cocktail reception are really nice pluses, and the fact that the rooms have a dividing pocket door so someone can be sleeping in one room and someone else can be watching tv on the couch, separately is really great--esp. for those of us with kids, however I hate the fact that the sink is not inside the bathroom and part of the vanity that is just outside of it.  Very annoying for me.  Also the A/C was way loud, and the room got really stuffy without it at night, but with it on, we froze...no happy medium even with the window open.   Its also nice that there are refridgerators and microwaves in each room, and 2 TV's, as well as a sleeper sofa.  These are the reasons (along with being able to close off the bedroom area) for choosing this hotel over The Mission Inn.
All in all, though I rec. it for a decent place to stay for a decent price, esp. for anyone traveling with kids.
Oh, yes and its very close to the outlet center and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, as well as the grocery store and other eating establishments.  Only one exit away from downtown, too!

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend. We visited Pismo Beach for our first wedding anniversary. This hotel is decent, our room was spacious, clean, and the staff was nice. The breakfast buffet is fine if you don't want to go out to spend money. The evening reception is also okay. There were 3 selections, a white zin, red, or a chardonay. Casual accommodations, not 5-star or anything but gets the job done if you're in town and don't need a beachfront room. This hotel is really close to the outlet shopping and only 5 minutes or so from the Pismo Beach tourist attractions (not walking distance). We would stay here again.

We stayed here during a weekend the location is not bad. It's close to freeway, shopping centers/outlets, gas stations and Grover Beach. We had a non-smoking room upstair facing the freeway. The room is bright, warm and cozy. Some of the things the caught my attention are their bamboo-like laminate floor(living room), black granite countertop, fast wi-fi internet connection, two sinks (bath and bar) and their old-fashion-yet-I-feel-quite-secure-punched-hole-r oom key card.

With the hotel room each guest has tickets for their breakfast buffet and two free drinks during the evening. Their breakfast buffet is great and their drinks and snack bar is fine as well.

We had a good time here and very likely to return.

This place is a great place to stay in Pismo...reasonably priced and good location.  It's just a short drive to downtown Pismo.  The great thing is the room price includes a full breakfast (think Denny's style breakfast).  It's an awesome deal.  The rooms are clean and spacious.  Staff is friendly and helpful.  My only complaint is the walls are thin (but isn't that the case at every hotel), and I would recommend asking for an upstairs room.  We had kids staying in the room above us, and it sounded like they were having a wresting tournament up there.
