Best park in the whole entire universe! My son and I love making the trip to this park. We live in Lynnwood, so it isn't super close, but it's the perfect destination! When I was a kid, this was a gas station, and the boots were the bathrooms. My son loves when I tell him I used to pee in the boots.
The playground is awesome, and the pea patch is amazing. Not to mention the cool house right across the street, AND you can watch the planes flying low overhead, as Boeing Field is very close. This is an important part of the tour I give out of towners, because it's not something that's part of your standard Seattle places. However, make sure you go to the bathroom before you get there, because you can't pee in the boots any more, and there aren't any honey pots. -

Who couldn't love Oxbow Park? Like a chunk of the Southwest that landed in Georgetown, the giant cowboy boots and hat are unforgettable. Brightly painted and well maintained, they're actually visible from a few blocks away.
The park also has a children's playground, a P-patch, benches, and lots of lovely grass to lay in. I'll definitely be taking more out-of-towners here to show them one of the strangest sites in town. Watch out Texas, Washingtonians like big, weird stuff too! -

in addition to the much beloved hat 'n' boots (so beloved that it got its own listing before the park itself did), oxbow park has a pretty dynamic p-patch going on. it's really beautiful, and definitely an asset to the community.
