    Ovi's Pros:

    - Good Martini Selection
    -  Awesome Onion Petals
    - Good location, and I liked that the owners were there.

    Ovi's Cons:

    - Tables are too close together and you feel like you are crammed into the space.
    - If you are going to boast that you have unique french fries, actually have unique french fries.
    - The garlic mashed potatoes were not fresh, they were instant.

We'll try it again, but it was just an OK, and overpriced "OK" experience.

I wish I could give Ovi's Pub a more glowing review. Everyone knows the suburbs are overrun with far too many chain restaurants cranking out more nacho plates,  buffalo chicken poppers, and southwestern egg-rolls than you can shake a bloomin' onion at. Places like Ovi's have potential to break the mold and provide a unique alternative and an environment you can call unique and inherently local. Ideally, with a place like Ovi's, you should be able to say "there's no place like this except in my town."

Ovi's doesn't quite deliver on that promise.

The menu is sadly predictable and very familiar. Appetizers include Chicken tenders, calamari, mozzarella w/ marinara, spinach/artichoke dip, Nachos, santa fe eggrolls. Sound familiar?  The rest of the main menu continues in the fashion with a familiar compilation of bar food. Steaks, chops, chicken, fish... in both platter and sandwich form.

On my visit to Ovi's, I ordered a burger on Ciabata bread and loaded on some additional ingredients available as well (green peppers and onions for me. Other available options included mushrooms, giardiniera, various cheeses, etc.) On the side, I upgraded the fries to the mixed jalapeno and onion strings since they were a change from the norm, and were also highly touted on the menu. The burger came out and was cooked to my liking. The green peppers (admittedly my own choice, not Ovi's) didn't really make the burger for me and were a little rubbery in texture.

My upgrade to mixed jalapeno and onion strings wasn't as grand as expected. They were cold and tasted like they had been sitting in a warming bin for a while. They'd probably be good if they were fresh...

Ovi's is built in a pub style with dark wood on the floors and bar surfaces, and is pretty cozy and warm feeling. There's a significant amount of hard surfaces throughout, making it a pretty loud venue due to the lack of dampening. My wife commented that she could clearly hear conversations from a few tables away. Not a deal breaker (as many/most bars are loud), just don't take your government buddies here for lunch if you have classified information to talk about.

Circling back to my original point, I really wish I could give Ovi's a more glowing review. I'd really like to see more locally-owned Establishments in the burbs, and Ovi's is a step in that direction, but until they really take a stand and offer some local flavor, I can't force my review any higher.

This place, when it first opened, was truly a great place to be. It was happy, busy, packed on weekends and the people there were great.

Unfortunately, the owners decided that everything needed to be changed around and it all went downhill from there.

The food became bland. The atmosphere became weak. The drinks and service became completely mediocre. The owners and new servers and kitchen staff they decided to hire now make up the sorry place that could have been a great restaurant. The owners put in so much money to rebuild this place and make it extremely beautiful but even the most beautiful of places cannot withstand terrible service and food.

In looking at the reviews before this, you can see that the good reviews came when the place was first open. Now it's nothing but disappointment. People of Bartlett really had higher hopes for this location but Ovi and Maria fail to acknowledge that on every turn.

They have signs hanging on their windows advertising this PUB as a FINE DINING place. It is hillarious. This is a PUB not a white-cloth experience! But try telling the owners that. They have an advertisement on the radio claiming their automated garbage cans in the bathrooms are really great. If you have to advertise your GARBAGE CANS in your BATHROOM to try to get business in your place, you know you're hurting and doing something wrong. Unfortunately they don't care to open their eyes and see that.

The place used to be busy all the time now there are barely any people there. Too bad once again for overbearing owners who don't have any experience in the American restaurant business but claim to know all the answers and refuse to listen to people with years and years of experience.

It's just a matter of time before this place goes under.

I have been to this place a few times and I have to say this is kind of more of a bar than a restaurantm that might because the drink selection is pretty good and I get distracted easily.
If you live in the area, I suggest checking this place out. The hungarian goulash is delicious and HUGE. The waitstaff is really kind and helpful, they don't mind you splitting dishes or making special requests.
    Go already!

The family did some take out from Ovi's for the first time. We give it three stars. The big pro is that dinner was ready in roughly 15 minutes. Good idea if you have small kids. The meal was good. The ribs were great the chicken dish was so/so and the kids meals were real good as well. It was our first visit and we will do it again for sure.

This place is terrible!  I ordered a ceasar salad with shrimp and was so disappointed.  There was some lettuce and maybe 5 teeny tiny shrimp, no croutons or parmesan cheese.  I was starving when I left.  My friends steak salads were also terrible, little fatty strips of steak with hardly any mushrooms or onions.  3 out of 4 of us left the restaurant still hungry, and after a $63.00 bill.  I get the feeling that the owners are concentrating more on selling drinks than having good food for their customers.  Will never go back.
