The Overleaf Lodge is an oceanfront hotel in the coastal town of Yachats, Oregon, where I've stayed on a weekend to attend a wedding.
I had a room with a view of the coast and the distant horizon. It was nice strolling along the beach and feel the ocean breeze, where the air was fresh and clean.
On the shore, there were sea lions basking in the sun, unconcerned by the presence of impertinent humans.
As I looked farther in the sea, I saw a pair of dolphins seemingly having fun.
It's been pleasant being here, I wish I could stay a little longer, but I got to go home...

Just stayed at the Overleaf for the third time. It's one of my favorites on the coast. Located off the busy highway the hotel is directly on the ocean. The only noise is from the waves which can actually be loud at times. Most of the rooms have a wonderful ocean front view. Some rooms have fireplaces and balconies. Several years ago they added a new wing which included a luxury spa. The spa features soaking tub, hot tub, sauna, steam room etc. with big picture windows on the ocean. For an extra fee you can get a massage. The back of the hotel is directly on the historic paved 804 trail ( "historic 804 Trail (.75 miles one-way with resting benches scattered along the way). The park is known for tide pooling, rock fishing and the yearly smelt run (smelt are small, silvery relatives of salmon). Breathtaking sunsets.").
The rates are reasonable and include a nice breakfast. There is also free WI-Fi in all the rooms
Stayed here this past October for 4 days.. Stayed in the Restless Water room which overlooks the ocean..in fact, during high tide it comes really close to the hotel. We had the top floor and our room had a big jacuzzi tub that was right next to the window and a fireplace with a nice couch set in front of it. This little town gets very busy during the summer but if you go during off season it's less people and better rates on the rooms.. This is the ultimate in a romantic getaway..

If you are ever in central Oregon coast, this is the place. Very peaceful and quiet. Don't miss the soaking pool with the best view on the coast!! the Overleaf is everything as advertised. we are coming back!!
I love this hotel. It was clean and nice. Once I open the door, I automatically see the oceanview. Everything was very clean. It was nice that we had a little sofa to sit and watch our dvds in front of the fireplace and the oceanview on our right. I booked my reservation directly with the hotel front desk service agent. She was very helpful to find what I wanted in the room. The hotel had a open spa, sauna, pool, steamroom, and excercise room for all guest to enjoy on their 3rd floor (also oceanview). They provide Aveda brand products such as lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The one downside of this hotel is they don't have a restaurant. The staffs were very friendly and willing to gives us recommendations to go. I definitely will come back on my next trip to the coast.
I love this place. I was meeting a long lost love half way and the staff accommodated every request. From ordering and arranging the flowers I wanted to letting me view and choose the exact room I had in mind. The views are spectacular and the beach goes on for miles in any direction. Perfect for those who like to run or just stroll around at sunset. The rooms were clean and spacious. The town of Yachats is lovely. You could stop at one place for a casual cup of coffee or dine on some of the finest seafood I have had. All in all the nicest people and the nicest place you could choose to stay.
I think this is a GREAT place to stay! The lodge is right on the ocean and every room has an ocean view! We had a room with 2 queen beds that was about $150 a night. You won't find that anywhere else on the coast. It's in a cute little small town and the local brewerys are pretty good. They have a full spa attached to the lodge for massage, facials, etc. I am looking for any excuse to go back.
