On my most recent trip to the Outer Banks, I discovered that most restaurants aren't open for the season yet. So my Mom and I were hungry and Outback seemed like our only option. That's fine. I love steak. Steak is probably my second favorite food. We were seated and waited on right away. Great. I ordered my usual drink, the wallaby darned. It was delicious as always.
We placed an order for a bloomin' onion. Let me just say, I love those things. I could eat them every day. This one just wasn't cutting it. It was so greasy. I don't know what they did, but I couldn't eat as much as I would have liked. It just didn't appeal to me.
So then the steak comes out. I always order the Victoria's filet. I love filets because they are lacking in fat. Not this one. It was mostly fat. There was very little meat on the thing. On top of that, I ordered it rare. It was not rare. Maybe medium rare. I'm the type of girl that could eat the meat raw, so that irritated me. All in all, it was a very bad meal. The only good part was my drink. I wish I had gone to Burger King. -

Great outback and great food. Our waiter kinda forgot about us with no refills but that's not to worry considering everything else was delicious and the staff were very friendly!!!!

Everyone's food was over-salted, steak was undercooked AND overcooked, waited 50 mins to get seated then an additional 45 mins to get our food. Our server was really nice but it didn't make up for the shortcomings. Even the free birthday sundae wasn't good. Worst Outback experience ever.

Typical bad review: specifically medium steak beyond well done, honey mustard dressing that tastes neither like honey nor mustard, poor service by two different individuals and oldest Outback facility I've seen in years. But what do you expect, you're on an island... where else will you go, right???
