This place is an amazing find. I bought an isabella fiore bag brand new for only $99. They have such unique things! Love it.
Hot 'n humid stickiness combined with feet in covered wedges does not make for the best situation. Especially for feet that have been hiking up 'n down the streets of NY all-day. We were on a mission to find some comfortable sandals for my ailing, blistery, hot feet. All I could think about getting were some SAS orthopedic sandals, but I couldn't do that to my NY friend who shouldn't hafta be seen with the girl who wore shoes that screamed ol' lady at work. Thankfully, we landed in front of OTP.
Gem of a shoe store--for you ppl from SF, think Rabat styles (unique European chic) mixed with designer must-haves. I came close to the end of the summer season and walked out with some adorable Bivel sandals for less than $40. Didn't run into any crowds, but came across nice service people that were thankfully not sycophantic. Planning to go back for some boots during the next sale. They do sell designer shoes, so for those of you refuse to pay over $100 for a pair of shoes, don't bother stopping by. However, for those of you who understand that you have to pay for a good quality, comfortable pair of shoes with a distinctive kick, check 'em out!

I got my favorite pair of heels here! Designer shoes that are not in cookie cutter styles. Browse and wait for the sales for a beauty without the pinch on the wallet.

Drop dead gorgeous, comfortable and somewhat affordable boots are my latest aquisition from here, and they are gorgeous.
I'll grudgingly confess that usually when I'm shoe shopping at least one of those qualities is sacrificed, and it's usually the last two.
At Otto Tootsi Plohound, you can have it all, and really, how often can you say that? Just don't try saying their name 3 times in a row with any speed...

It is so not worth it. What you have during the after Christmas sale is absolute mess, complete chaos. There are tons of angry people, impatient spouses, and people who will chop your hand off if you get to a certain item before they do. Don't do it. It's not worth it.
On regular days however, the store is quite normal, the selection is amazing, but the price range tend to be a lot higher.

considering the sizes of these stores, i'm never impressed when i check out the men's shoes. ever. i'd rather wear bozo the clown shoes than some of this euro-trash. the L.L. Bean catalogue has more fashion sense than this place.
